Default how should I distrbute my EVs for Scarmory, Lucicolo and Ninetales?

I'm thinking of Careful for Scarmory and do 252 def/252 special def/6 HP

and maybe Calm for Ninetales, and 252 speed/129 def/129 special def

    no idea for Lucicolo(sp)

Skarm: max HP and Spdef, put the other 6 in att/def

Ninetales: max speed if it doesn't have roar, no speed if it has roar. put most of the EVs in spatt/HP/def.

Ludicolo: If you go w/ an annoyer set (w/ Toxic, Leech Seed, Rest, and other stalling moves), give it max HP and split the rest between def and spdef. If you go with an offensive set (RD, Surf, Ice Beam, Leech Seed/Toxic/Filler), give it lots of HP and spatt, and dump the rest in spdef.

WHAT? Explain. What good will a skarmory with max special defense do? ...

Ninetales: max speed if it doesn't have roar, no speed if it has roar. put most of the EVs in spatt/HP/def.

You want to be faster if your roaring; contrary to GSC the faster person always roars successfully.

I question "splitting the rest" in defense in ludicolo; surely putting a few defensive evs to make ludicolo survive a 1 more meteor mash by a few percents or something would be okay, but yeah. I can't believe you would use a skarmory like that; please enlighten me.

I'd guess the idea is to try to reduce Skarm's weakness to make it more well-rounded, instead of accepting the weakness and switching it out when you find yourself up against a special sweeper.

That EV distro gives skarmory 330 HP and 310 defense rougly; that means it already loses its phyisical tankishness. No way will it take brick breaks from heracross or focus punches from anything.

Maxing out special defense doesn't exactly balanace it out either. I'm still waiting for someone to name a situation where this extra special defense allows skarmory to do something against a special attacker. Not seeing it..?

    Default ^^^

my skarm has a calm nature, with evs in hp and spec def, the reason for this is so that it will have enough lastability to lay 3 sets of spikes, and it does work quite well, alright it will die soon after but the job is done (just have to make sure i kill the rapid spinner first!!)

It doesn't matter if Skarm only has 6 EVs in defense, as long as it is impish. Personally, I'd max HP, put 16/56/96 EVs into defense, raise speed to circa 180 and the rest into SD.

Maxed HP comes as standard for Ludicolo. If you fear Kazam, raise SD, if you fear Metagross, raise defense. If you fear both, don't try to compromise.

Ninetales needs at least 250 speed to hax those dragon dancers with will o wisp. 296 speed is useful if you're on a vendetta against all Heracross. Timid and 307/300 speed would be for the extremist who is petrified of Zangoose/Slaking and friends. The rest should be split defensively and maxed HP is recommended in most circumstances.
