Round One Hundred
Praising your self imposed no-cupckaes diet you recall the less lithe Moonscape and carefully slide down the hole. Buneary lands next to you and you look at the tunnel ahead. It's a little shorter than you are, and you have to stoop to walk through, but there's enough room that you don't feel too claustrophobic. The faint sound of popping reaches you again, followed by a fainter moan that sounds like someone or something is in pain. Buneary taps your leg and points directly ahead. The tunnel splits in two, but thankfully, there are tiny footprints in the dirt that Buneary is still able to follow thanks to her foresight.
As you continue on through the tunnels the popping sounds gets louder and clearer, and you liken the noise to tiny bolts of electricity hitting something soft and wet. You poke your head around the bend slightly and check out what's nearby.

The three pokemon are surrounded by a pile of Pecha Berries. The Pichu and Pachirisu are shooting tiny electrical attacks at the berries which are causing them to break into pieces, and the Pikachu is putting all the chunks into a bowl of sorts. They all look tired and flustered. You back up and turn to Buneary.
- Attack now, ask questions later
- Talk to them first
yeah, I thought that full moon on the back of the polaroid was highly inconvenient.
Let's head back to the study and see if we can find something to focus the light. If there's nothing there, we'll head back here and I'll see if I can figure out something else.

Round Ninety-Nine
Following Buneary you twist and wind your way through the tall grass, apparently following the craziest of trails that sees you doubling back on yourself and going around in circles a few times. The grass has become progressively longer too, or is the ground beneath you sloping down? Maybe it's both. You look back and see only grass behind you, the little village can't be spotted form this angle.
"Oslo look!" Buneary chirps. You peer down and see something in the reeds. Pulling them aside you pick up a soft orange fruit.
A Pecha Berry! You must be on the right track. Buneary eagerly calls you onwards, and you tuck the berry into your knapsack for safe keeping. After a little more downhill walking you are almost up to your neck in tall grass when suddenly you step out into a small clearing. Several small holes have been burrowed into the ground around a larger one in the centre. It looks just big enough for a skinny to climb down. The faint sound of popping can be heard echoing n the tunnels beneath.
- Who you calling skinny!?
- Into the tunnel
- Investigate first?
- Wait for Mac
Let's see what currently IS on the polaroid for right now, 'cause there could still be something useful.
Alright let's take the straight path, if the melody gets softer then let's go back if not then we'll go onwards

You approach the three pokemon who sound like they are discussing what the state of the world is coming to, and possibly if the recession is going to hit the badlands as bad as it's hit elsewhere. Whatever.
"Excuse me, did you see the crazy woman that made you dig this hole? We need to know where she is going."
"Her!? Yes we saw her, leaving in quite a hurry too." Torkoal says. "Muttering to herself about gateways and spirits."
"She said something about.. oh what was it.." Baltoy struggles to recall "High-five Terrance?"
"No you dolt!" Vibrava says, smacking Baltoy so it spins on the spot "It was Skydive Herrings!"
"I'm certain it wasn't either of those" Torkoal adds "She said 'Why my bearings?'"
The three start arguing and ignore you. Lets hope you have some idea of what they meant.
- Locate Terrance
- Fish for Herrings
- Investigate her bearings
- Maybe they meant somewhere else?
No worries. Figured it would be the start of a new chapter.

You decide to look at the partially developed Polaroid first to see if you can glean any information from it before you decide what to do next. There appears to be a large arch shape in the middle, with a smaller, darker arch near the bottom. A blurry mess of different shades of green and brown surround the large arch, whilst a faint bluish-grey seems to line the edges of the large arch, meeting in the middle to fill up the rest of the upper centre of the image. You assume you are looking at it from the right direction by having it the same way up as the writing on the back. There's nothing else to provide any more clues.

"Once this temple is buried, we will set up a small camp of some kind nearby," the Hippowdown explains "so that any future activity at the site can be carefully monitored and trouble prevented before it starts. Are you certain that the problems within are contained?"
"I am certain." Cobalion replies "There will be no more problems from within the temple, but I advise that you do not allow any pokemon to enter the lower most chambers for any reason."
"Very well. Thank you for your assistance Master Cobalion, I pray that you recover your strength soon."

You step out of hiding and straight away speak to the electric types. Pichu yelp and runs to hide behind Pikachu, who arches his back and growls at you. Pachirisu drops the Pecha Berry and stares at you with sad eyes.
"Poppa got sick," the little blue and whit rodent murmurs. "poppa needs medicine."
"Go away human!" the Pikachu interrupts "You've made it clear that you don't want to help, so we've had to help ourselves!"
"Zam don't let him take the berries back." the Pichu whispers loudly form behind "I don't want poppa to go away."
"Quiet child, I don't have the means to fight off any more pokemon, it took all my strength to knock out the Ivysaur. Human, leave us alone!"

"I believe I can travel on the back of your Pidgeot yes."
Cobalion dissolves into a mist of shadow again and swarms around Vigilance, coming to a stop as a slightly lumpy 'pool' on the birds back. Vig looks a little uncomfortable, and you feel it too as you climb atop his back and hold on tightly, the shadow shifting beneath your body, weightless and formless, but slightly chilly. Vigilance takes to the air, and as you leave the heat of the Nevshard Badlands, you welcome the cooling wind in your face. It doesn't take long as the Honchkrow flies to reach your destination. Vigilance lands on a wide circular platform nestled in the top branches of a huge Redwood Tree. As soon as you climb off, Cobalion reforms into the shadow form he appeared in last.
"This is Skyline Terrace. A remarkable place with many mysteries that have never been resolved."
"Thanks Tour Guide Barbie."
You move off the landing platform and see a pokemon scuttling over to greet you.
Two other pokemon fly overhead, hand in hand and creating a soft glow around themselves.

Releasing Moonscape seems to have somewhat of the desired effect on the Pikachu. He composes himself into a more respectful form but is still glaring at you.
"Follow me." he says and leads you further along the tunnel. Along the way you see several piles of Pecha berry remains where the flesh has been pulped leaving only the stalk behind. The groaning and crying noises get louder as you approach a rather more spacious chamber. Lying on a pile of leaves is a Raichu, clutching its body tightly, its face clenched in perpetual agony. On the floor around it are several bowls of with traces of pulp, but the Pecha Berries have done nothing to ease the pain and infection that the electric type is suffering from. Gathered around it are several young electric types. The Pachirisu and Pichu from before, along with two Emolga, a Minun and Plusle and a Luxio
"Poppa is still hurting Zam." the Pachirisu says, tears welling up in its eyes "The berries aren't working."
"Stand aside little one."
"Zam you said the humans couldn't be trusted!" the Luxio growls.
"I know what I said Flux, just do it."
The Luxio growls but backs away letting you Bunear and Moonscape into the chamber. Moonscape looks over the Raichu carefully, as if identifying the cause of the ailment. She nods finally, and begins to glow. The white light that shines form her body fills the chamber and the tunnels of the warren. When it fades, Moonscape has vanished, returning to her pokeball to recuperate her strength. The young pokemon rub their eyes and turn their attentions to the Raichu who is stirring in a soft, painless sleep.
"You should leave now human, before our father awakens." Pikachu says, looking back over his shoulder at you "Go back to the village and tell them to leave us be."
- Go back to the village
- Stick around for a bit
- Question the Pikachu further
Not even a thank you? D: Or an apology for wasting the berries? What friendly folks.

Reluctantly you head up-stairs. At the top it becomes apparent that not all of the mansion has been kept as pristine as you've seen. This floor looks as old as a haunted mansion should look. The walls are decaying and full of holes, the floor is breaking up, cobwebs fill every possible edge and corner and the only light is coming from the full moon shining through the windows. On the walls and few desks that are in the not very large space, are large maps rolled out and stuck on the walls. Star charts mapping the night sky, various sketches of the earth, its moon and the solar system of nine planets. Whoever drew these wasn't around to hear Pluto had been discredited. A telescope sat covered in dust but it's gaze creating a solid path of light on the floorboards. Before you can ask who, the roar grows louder again, and a jet of flame blasts down the tunnel behind you, cascading over a protective shield created only seconds in time by Flux in order to protect himself.
"Get the young ones! Get them out of here!" Zam yells as soon as the fire is gone. Flux nods and disappears down the scorched and still burning corridor. Zam jumps at you, just as a blast of ice goes down the tunnel where he just stood.

"I suppose that's understandable," Raichu says "follow me."
You stick close behind the Raichu as he cleverly ducks into different tunnels as the jets of fire and water pass by. Finally, he climbs a sharp hill and comes out back in the meadows. You hang back, just about able to see over a ridge but within earshot of everything that is happening outside.
"You're looking better pest." A bile filled voice says. It sounds familiar.
"I am better now, no thanks to you Mackenzie." Raichu replies. Yes, that's the voice, it's Mac! But he sounds a lot different to the quiet man you met in the village. "Leave me and my kids alone Mac, we want nothing to do with your village or you."
