You quickly get your sea legs and then begin. You counter Terrakion's charge by charging right back at him. As you gallop across the rocky terrain, you spit out a few insults against his honour. Taunted, Cobalion narrows his eyes and barrels into you with an Iron Head. You skid backwards through the gravel, but not very far, as your immense bulk and your affinity for this particular battlefield manage to keep you grounded.

Cobalion comes in a second time, but you're ready. You do and about-face and kick your hind legs behind you. They collide with Cobalion's chest, and, as you glance over your shoulder, it looks for a split-second like your attack causes the Iron Will Pokemon to vomit. However, you realize that's not the case at all: a Metal Burst escapes his lips, ripping across your body with all the power of your attacking strength and then some. Jeepers. You're gonna have to watch out for that one.

You concentrate hard on the ground beneath you, releasing invisible fingers into the gravel in hopes of triggering seismic movements. You're successful. Geysers of land rise up, transforming the battlefield into a sea of stony pillars. If Cobalion had any hopes of Magnet Rising, you dashed them with your Taunt, so he winds up getting walloped as a pillar rises up from beneath him quickly and violently. He maintains his footing and peers down at you. Then, he takes a leap off the pillar of earth and comes down hard with a Superpowered physical strike. Cobalion lands upon you and you collapse under his weight. Pain runs rampant through your body.

No puny Cobalion is gonna keep a burly Terrakion down for long. You pull yourself back up and use Sacred Sword, ripping your horns across Cobalion's frame and knocking him to the ground. You pair it with a Reflect, which shimmers into existence in front of you. Cobalion bounds back to his feet and charges at you with another Iron Head paired with a Sacred Sword, but your barrier keeps the damage to a minimum.

"Well played, DarkestLight," Cobalion says. "I shall not be bested, though."

He then uses Stone Edge. A medley of rocks whips through the air. You counter by slamming the ground hard, sending seismic currents through the land. The attacks pass by one another and collide with their intended targets. Cobalion skids backwards while you remain steadfast.

Cobalion's Taunt fades.

You slam the ground hard, sending an Earthquake rippling throughout the battlefield. Cobalion is thrown hard to the gravel as tremors assault his steely frame. Suddenly, a light begins to shine through the night's darkness. Static surrounds Cobalion's body and then diffuses outward through the air toward you. You feel your muscles grow stiff and inflexible as a Thunder Wave does a number on your body. So. This is what Paralysis feels like. It ain't fun.

Sure enough, when you try to follow through with your next attack, you find that you can't. Your body won't cooperate. You can only look on as Cobalion targets you with a Flash Cannon. A brilliant gleam of silvery light whips through the air, striking you hard in the side. A grunt escapes your mouth. These super effective attacks really pack quite a beating.

Soon, the Paralysis ebbs away for the time being, allowing you to pull yourself up. You then break into a reckless tackle. You slam hard into Cobalion for some Close Combat shenanigans, throwing him backwards through the air. Your party members dive out of the way as Cobalion collides with a large rock behind them. However, he's undaunted. Once again, he counters with a Metal Burst, sending bits of iron cascading through the air. Your Reflect renders this particular strategy less effective than the first time he tried it. However, your Reflect fades away shortly thereafter.
