Where Caucus stand seems to be slightly elevated and provides cover from these spheres(there's a bunch now) that stop you from being near the mural. Caucus happens to push one of the spokes as he jumps on it to warn you, slightly causing the pillar to turn. For a split second, you swear you could see dust flying to the ground from the mural-but with all these wooden gladiator spheres rolling about, it could just be them crashing into the walls.

You shrug, as Jabin focuses a large form of energy. The new bright light catches the Smeargle's attention, and he quickly sketches up something. It looks like a club. A Club that gets knocked out his hand thanks to that Blast.

Unfretted, He picks up his club after stumbling and swings it wildly. Jabin stays just out of range and uses his Psychic Abilities to hinder the Pup even more.

You look to the mural-and you note it starts to rise. Caucus continues to push the spoke, walking around the cylinder. The mural opens summore, and you start to realize....you might be able to make it.

Smeargle grabs his tail, ready for retaliation. A psychic force strikes Smeragle, but he swipes his tail at Jabin. A streak of paint flies out, in a blade like form, that rips toward the fighter. It rips into Jabin like a claw, evaporating him. Damnit! Clones!

The painter backs up, as Jabin and his duplicate run up and punch the dog in his head, That funny headhat is the perfect pad to suck health from, but Smeargle paints a ...cannon? That looks suspicious.

There are a bunch of Fearows on nests up here, as well as a few Larvitar and Geodudes jumping about. The Combusken runs to a unattended nest. Must be hers.

the Mural is completly open. You hold your position as well as Caucus for a moment, before letting go.

The second you let go, the mural starts to close...slowly. The Fireballs are still rolling about.

This energy expands to contain them all. Jolteon stands back up, weakly, and with no prejudice, starts blasting off Thunders at Digit. One strikes the Pokemon, forcing it down.

Jolteon feels very encumbered all of a sudden, even as Bronco just sits there and watches as Digit tries to enact a spell. Digit smirks and now beams for the Jolteon, goading him into firing off a Thunder. The hit connects, but Digit seems to approve!

Jolteon does not understand, but tries again, as Digit just sits there quietly.

Feeling that nothing here is worth your effort, you head toward the stairwell that leads to the 9th floor. You see the base of the roof, and you realize the top floor can't be too much higher anymore.

Nothing gets in your way as you calmly walk around the nests and make your way upstairs. A Larvitar follows you. On this floor, there is a single nest in the middle of the room. The stairwell is shattered, but there is a rope again.

Sitting in this nest though, is a Magmar, and She looks none to happy yer there.

You and Fenrir make a break for it! The rolling gladiator spheres seem to careen and converge on you, but the pair of you keep moving, and mange to dive into teh ever shrinking gap between them. You roll and Fenrir darts, making it to the door, which is closing fast. You get up and scramble for it, baseball sliding under the door as another firesphere crashes into the now smaller passageway entrance. Your right hand still extended with seconds left, you fire that beam, and it hits Caucus. The beam retracts and reaches your Pokeball right as the stone wall slams down.

Whoo that was close! You shake the jitters away and look to Fenrir, who barks happily. That was fun!

You look down the hallway now, eerily lit with blue flame. It is a long corridor.

Jabin smirks, and creates his own army of men to attack. Smeargle whips his tail and steps forward, vision clearing. He beelines for the cannon, and just dips blue paint from his tail into it. All of a sudden, the Cannon fires, Water blasting two Jabin away immediately. Whoa!

Jabin and his last clone quickly create a reflective barrier of their own, as Smeargle takes aim at them both now....

Fast dog. It turns, and fires a bevy of pins and needles at Bronco that hurt it all over. Digit tries to relax, as Bronco falls over, hurt.

Both your Pokemon sit down and back away as the Jolteon once again speeds up. You cleverly roll your Pokeball down a path, and Jolteon taps it during his agilicraze! It sucks him him!

So you go! Mag sqwuaks at your boldness and shots a flame of fire for your feet. You are forced to jump early, and mistime it, but Richard's shield protects you from the flames. You quickly re-release Luna and Hydro, who now stand between you-the rope and Magmar. Magmar is unimpressed, and raises both hands now.

Lucky you. With this Infernape still snoozing, its not thinking of Sleep Talking. Jacen gladly follows orders, as Tsu crosses his arms, looking like a bouncer. Betty watches as the twin blades of Psychic Energy cut along the ground before slashing into the Infernape.

This time though, he woke up. Could be the dizzying amount of pain he felt. Betty saw the Infernape flinch and began to Sing-Only to get Punched by a bolt of energy and go rolling into Tsu. Tsu barely kept her on the ledge as Jacen turned to see a really fired up simian glaring at him.

Jacen extended his left hand, bracing his arm with his right, and went for a heavy swipe. Infernape dodged the False Swipe and countered with a heavy handed Double Fire Fist of Fury! Yu dodge the explosive embers that go flying and see Jacen on the ground, coughing from such a blow. What the hell right?

You fling you Pokeball, and Infernape goes to backhand it. It hits and sucks him in again.

You stand spellbound for a few moments, and then turn your attention to the massive hallway that lies ahead. You look over to the left and see just a massive adornment of rocks. Dead end that way. Looking right, its adorned with torches and there are massive holes in the ground that would take a running leap to cross. You can't even see the end of the hallway, that's how long it seems to be.

Straight ahead is a torch that's not lit. Take the torch, or go right without it?

The warrior Smeargle aimed his cannon at the twin Jabin and stabs his tail into it again. A red ink starts to seep in, and the cannon charges up a massive blast. Jabin throws a hail Mary, and whips a Hypnotic murmur toward Smeargle. The cannon however, explodes a fiery mess upon them both. Jabin hunkers down to deal with the massive fireblast and manages to emerge without being burned. His clone is completely eviscerated though.

Jabin stands up, and notes that the Smeargle is actually asleep! Lucky stars! You jump up from your hiding spot and fling a sphere as hard s you can from the crafty Smeargle. It strikes the Pokemon and sucks him in a blanket of red.

The zipping Jolteon tries once again to strike, and successfully pins Digit down with a Double Kick! Bronco didn't even see the pup move, but Digit had no response aside from crying out for help! Jolteon sneered, and took a step off Digit, only to have his eyesight irrevocably harmed. He stumbled sideways and then fell on his jaw as an Earthquake shook the ground up. Other Pokemon started to approach, wondering what was going on.

Jolteon didn't seem to move, but there was a strange happenstance. Jolteon hissed horribly, and dashed off at a hyper swift speed. Unlike last time, this was assisted by a strange force. It's very possible that you may have pushed the Pokemon to the brink, and he ran away!

Magmar 100/92

Hydro and Luna take the forefront, and Magmar keeps a hand pointed at each of them. Richard scuttles up to the ceiling, out of harms way, as Magmar shoots a bevy of flames. She's attacking rather defensively, as Hydro's Pump barely makes it through the fire, but only hits her as if it was a light mist. The Mud doesn't make it through either. Richard though, being above, manages to fire off a Psychic that knocks her to her knees. You glance a look to the rope, and to where Magmar's nest it...

and the 5 baby Magby's inside.

But too late now! Hydro steps in critical range and slams the mama away with a Hydro Pump. She slams into the wall, and Luna follows up with a Shadowball that forces the Magmar to groan in pain. The Psychic assault from Richard is a bit much as it keeps her on the ground. The babies all crawl toward their mom, as they're still very young.

Hydro takes aim, as the mom cowers around her children...barely. She looks up and raises her hand once more, creating a Protective barrier around her family as Hydro and Luna fire. The Mud and the Water Pulse bounce off the barrier, something Richard notices...and waits to go down. Magmar catches her breath and tries to get her children behind her but Richard is a bit eager. He fires a Psychic....and it misses slightly. That's becasue it hits a baby and knocks it out.

Hydro and Luna back up, cause now the Magmar begins to glow with a fiery rage. She turns her gaze to Richard, and then to you. Someone's frying now. Ignoring all logic, she immediately heats up the room with a nasty Heat Wave that forces Richard to fall. Luna seems fine with it, but then Magmar and her brood vanish.

Something tells you this is only the beginning....
