Yes I'm still writing, I'm about to post up a story that I'm handing in as an assessment for my Writing Fiction course (haha shameless plug!). No I don't have aim any more, but we're on facebook & I've got MSN.

Well, I've started working on getting a PhD, which means I'm taking subjects again and working on a new thesis. I'm also still teaching (I'm head of practical works now). I worked as a programmer for 2 and a half years, but I've left it, at least for now. I still write when I get the chance (which, sadly, isn't very often). I'm also suing the guy who crashed into my mum's car while I was driving it and moderating the Send Pokemon chatrooms on Facebook. I have an MSN account too, even if it doesn't always work. We could try using our MSN accounts to catch up.

Oh wow another thesis? That's gotta be tough. I gotta say, I'm so glad I'm in my last week of uni for the year right now. It's been a rough semester!

Not even one percent as taxing as writing a thesis, but today I read a three-hundred page thesis and took notes on it, all in one sitting, because they wouldn't let me take the thesis out of the library. So I think I've done my work for today -- time for comic-making!

So, last week I pulled two all-nighters. Did a ten-page take-home exam on Sunday night, then wrote a ten-page midterm on Tuesday night. (Night now includes 7 a.m., by the way.)

Now, to this week.

From 1 p.m. Sunday to 6 p.m. Monday, I read a 300-page book on gender roles at home and at work, read three research articles, wrote an outline for my study group on each of those articles encompassing all their major themes and citing related studies, taught two classes and attended one, held an hour-long conference with a student to discuss her recent grades, and wrote a five-page book review on that first book, finishing ten minutes before the start of the night class at which I had to submit it.

...Considering its length, that should really be a run-on sentence. Too bad it's not.

*jaw drops* Hehe, depends what "making me look bad" means -- you're certainly making me look bad academically. Although I'd argue that I've emerged saner than you, considering your amount of sleep.

Ok, since everyone is talking about their academical achievements and lack thereof, my latest article was going well until I realized my type system was so restrictive that the function that returns the first element of a list would never pass the type-checker. I'm still wondering if there's any way around that. I've already prepared my next class (it took me the whole weekend, as I had to make it nearly from scratch because the class we used to give in its place was pretty useless), I've finished the last 3 sheets of excercises and sent them to an assistant teacher for reviewing (the first of the 3 is the same as lastsemester, the second has undergone some substantial changes and the third is all new), I got the results of my last exam and both my brother and I got the top mark (10), and you can breathe now.

I've been having too many birthday parties and family dinners. As a result, I ate like a pair of pigs (just one pig wouldn't do) and I ended up missing yesterday's birthday party due to being sick in bed all day. I'm glad I've managed to get up today. I hope I'll be fine for today's birthday party, which is my mother's.

Hey all!

Wow, nice of you all to remember me, i'm flattered. Didn't think a soul would recall me. It's been a while since that TPM competition - i know it was the month of May, goodness knows how many years ago!

It's good to be back, I'm currently writing Chapter 1 of a brand new poké fic, called Changing Times. It's a typical trainer fic I guess, with a slightly unconventional starter and more of an Orange Islands themed Gym system - focusing on both battles and other forms of tests for trainers' pokemon. There's a group of baddies obviously, and some legendaries will be popping up too.

Yeah, I agree, Chris! When you first begin, it's so magical. All the potential in the world is right at your fingertips, just waiting to be unlocked. And as you continue writing, that potential slowly trickles away with every word until there's nothing left to achieve!

Yeah, I hope to finish Chapter 1 this week. It's crazy, the story has taken a life of it's own - characters have emerged that didn't even exist in the planning stage, plots are twisting and forming into different ideas in my head - I don't know where it's gonna take me!

Yeah, the feeling of making a new fic is cool. Ack, there's one trainer fic I want to do, but not sure if I'll have time to do it. Dang school work. -_- There's also the feeling of finish writing and posting a fic. Seriously, "Nothing, Everything" has only six chapters left and I'll be quite sad when I post those last ones. ;_;

Ok, has ANYONE (Like, anyone?) in the UK heard the story about the girl who ran off with Pete Doherty? I KNOW HER! She's on my course at college. Here is a lowdown:

A few friends went to see Babyshambles play at our local gig-playing-place. They got talking to them and Tasha, the girl in question, snogged him for ages. Then they went on their tourbus and hung out for ages. Anyway then the bus driver started moving, so most of them ran off and stopped the bus. But Tasha stayed, wanting to be with Pete and deciding to be a model.

She is monstrously thin.

Anyway a police search went underway after she didn't turn up by Friday. She was found, while two of her 'friends' sold the story to the paper The Daily Star. It was in on friday. Anyway the two friends (Dane an Katy) each got £11,000 for selling the story. As for Tasha, she got....wait for it...

£40,000.

The ****!? she didn't even do an interview. Anyway APPARENTLY Hugo Boss have signed her for a contract! And Manchester agencies have contacted her.

I hope she isn't signed to Hugo Boss because nobody deserves it less. She is a fame-fisher - she goes around looking for ways to be famous, and she is horribly thin and looks like a cocker spaniel (not even opinion - it's true!). She doesn't deserve it. In my eyes she'll be known as 'the girl that ran off with pete'.

She isn't on our course anymore. Either she got kicked off, or she's too rich to care.

I hate karma.

Well I went to a strip club (a friends birthday, its tradition) in our pokey little city......and I saw her working there. LOL!

Anyway all that modelling crap was BS. She's a total mess.

I feel bad, but love karma in a way....

Since then, when someone has a birthday, we usually take them to town, although it is slightly odd seeing people that you went to school/college with taking their clothes off 0_o';;

On Saturday the 29th of Jan, I went to see Delta Goodrem (an Australian singer/songwriter) live! It was awesome and she was amazing. Gavin Luper tagged along and he enjoyed himself quite a lot too, much to his surprise! Hehe! I even got to be on stage with Delta and I danced with her.



"I'm like a thorn between two roses," Delta said as we took the picture. She's made of so much awesome!

Cadmus: "Innocent Eyes" was the first Australian album I ever bought. Good memories. I was a big fan back then. But now... from what I've heard on her latest album, her songwriting has lost the freshness that drew me to it. Still a good voice though. Hehe, you guys are lucky! She sounds awesome indeed.
