[Ranis & Ziota]
The elven warriors pressed on, watching the smoky column become more broad by the minute. The town was flames were finally erupting over the tree tops, confirming Ranis' suspicion. He stood on the saddle of his horse, and as they neared the town, he leapt onto the top of one of the walls to save time. Ziota was behind him, bow in hand. Arrows shot from the bow that Ziota held, piercing the hearts of the reanimated beast. Meanwhile, Ranis was searching for the necromantic sorcerer who had revived nearly the entire war party.
As Ranis become mearely a glowing silhouette, black wings sprouting from his back, a wave of energy swept over him. He stumbled forward, but regained his balance. The magic that had hit him was from his old friend, Miras. The two stared each other down, but Ranis was the first to make a move. He soared upward into the air on his demonic wings, and energy fired from his hands at a rapid rate. The attacks exploded upon contacting the ground, and sent a way of pain flowing over the ranks of the war party. Miras was at the center of the attack, feeling the full force.
[Miras Bloodmoon]
The sorcerer stood, grinning as the city burned nearer and nearer to total destruction. He was caught off guard when a shadow appeared over the horizon. No... not a shadow, a sillhouette. He released the wave of energy that had become known as the spell nausea toward his one time friend. That only alerted the demon of Miras' presence. Bombs of pure energy rained from the sky as the demon floated over the city. Miras could feel the pain running through his body, and wanted to collapse from the pain.
The sorcerer raised his palm, and a barrier of energy surrounded him. The berrier intesified every second, eventually just deflecting the shots. With a swift wave of his hand, flames rained toward the floating sillhouette.
[Ziota Moonrave]
The archer leapt from his horse and landed on the wall. He and Ranis split up as the reached the epicenter of the fighting. He released arrow after arrow, taking down zombie by zombie. The shambling swarms were slowly reducing in number, more swiftly so when he started releasing flames from the tips of his arrows.
He saw Ranis hovering in the distance, and dashed as far as he could on the wall toward him. He could tell his friend was frustrated.
He noticed the shielded form of Miras immediately, and an arrow flew from his bow toward the barrier. It pierced, not being any form of magic whatsoever. It struck Miras in the chest, near the heart, and the wizard sank to the ground.
Energy balls once again pummeled the troops as the barrier faded along with Miras, and as Ranis dodged the rain of flames.
[Miras Bloodmoon]
The sorcerer slowly crawled away from the exploding ground, every now and then being pushed along by the force of a blast. He could barely feel his legs when he reached the edge of the forest. The arrow had barely missed his heart, only another quarter of an inch and he woujld have been dead.
Slowly he got to his feet, and hobbled into the deeper forest to heal. Golden energy penetrated the canopy of leaves as Miras released healing energy into himself. He dashed back out to the Barrows, but his forces had been defeated once again.
"There is no life for the twice dead..." he thought to himself as the last of his shambling masses were set ablaze to keep them from reawakening from the eternal slumber of death.
