    Shifter--

I hid my claw. It had started to change. When I pulled it out again, it was blue again. I breathed I sigh of relief. Had anyone noticed? I glanced around. No, not even Kashikoi's sharp eyes had noticed. Too close. But why had it started to change...? I glanced at the Sorceress, and knew she felt my gaze. I turned my head, as if I had heard something. I hadn't, really.

    [Ranis & Ziota]

The elven warriors pressed on, watching the smoky column become more broad by the minute. The town was flames were finally erupting over the tree tops, confirming Ranis' suspicion. He stood on the saddle of his horse, and as they neared the town, he leapt onto the top of one of the walls to save time. Ziota was behind him, bow in hand. Arrows shot from the bow that Ziota held, piercing the hearts of the reanimated beast. Meanwhile, Ranis was searching for the necromantic sorcerer who had revived nearly the entire war party.

As Ranis become mearely a glowing silhouette, black wings sprouting from his back, a wave of energy swept over him. He stumbled forward, but regained his balance. The magic that had hit him was from his old friend, Miras. The two stared each other down, but Ranis was the first to make a move. He soared upward into the air on his demonic wings, and energy fired from his hands at a rapid rate. The attacks exploded upon contacting the ground, and sent a way of pain flowing over the ranks of the war party. Miras was at the center of the attack, feeling the full force.

    [Miras Bloodmoon]

The sorcerer stood, grinning as the city burned nearer and nearer to total destruction. He was caught off guard when a shadow appeared over the horizon. No... not a shadow, a sillhouette. He released the wave of energy that had become known as the spell nausea toward his one time friend. That only alerted the demon of Miras' presence. Bombs of pure energy rained from the sky as the demon floated over the city. Miras could feel the pain running through his body, and wanted to collapse from the pain.

The sorcerer raised his palm, and a barrier of energy surrounded him. The berrier intesified every second, eventually just deflecting the shots. With a swift wave of his hand, flames rained toward the floating sillhouette.

    [Ziota Moonrave]

The archer leapt from his horse and landed on the wall. He and Ranis split up as the reached the epicenter of the fighting. He released arrow after arrow, taking down zombie by zombie. The shambling swarms were slowly reducing in number, more swiftly so when he started releasing flames from the tips of his arrows.

He saw Ranis hovering in the distance, and dashed as far as he could on the wall toward him. He could tell his friend was frustrated.

He noticed the shielded form of Miras immediately, and an arrow flew from his bow toward the barrier. It pierced, not being any form of magic whatsoever. It struck Miras in the chest, near the heart, and the wizard sank to the ground.

Energy balls once again pummeled the troops as the barrier faded along with Miras, and as Ranis dodged the rain of flames.

    [Miras Bloodmoon]

The sorcerer slowly crawled away from the exploding ground, every now and then being pushed along by the force of a blast. He could barely feel his legs when he reached the edge of the forest. The arrow had barely missed his heart, only another quarter of an inch and he woujld have been dead.

Slowly he got to his feet, and hobbled into the deeper forest to heal. Golden energy penetrated the canopy of leaves as Miras released healing energy into himself. He dashed back out to the Barrows, but his forces had been defeated once again.

"There is no life for the twice dead..." he thought to himself as the last of his shambling masses were set ablaze to keep them from reawakening from the eternal slumber of death.

    Caryvii Renorala - F - Elven

    ****

I gazed at this Talen as he offered me bread, and I took it- accepting his gift of friendship. As I bite into the object of food... I chewed slowly, and let a smile spread across my lips.
"Thank you... Talen." I spoke softly, and then I listened as Serinia talked about most of what I knew, and many questioned about the importance of the Jewel. I told them about the dragons... and they listened, as I finished off my bread.

My Elven senses however were burning as I listened to some slight protest of the others... some t hing, or some one was not right. GAzing about with my piercing icy blue eyes... I determined it at least was not Talen nor Serinia herself, but some one else. Gazing some more... my vision turning slightly more Elven-usage, as if I would use it in the dark. That Shifter... he was hiding some thing, but what was it? Or at least... it felt like he was, since he kept turning away as if frightened. His eyes were constantly upon Serinia as well... and that caused me to frown. I would hold my tongue however... not all the others seemed to keep account of me or perhaps they did not fully trust me. Understandable however, since Full-Elvens were rarely seen these days, and many do not have good experiences with our race since we seldom let ourselves seen. Half-Elvens were different... they were seen more about around the humans and other creatures, but that was because they usually did not stay with FUll-Elvens. Why? I never really understood... of course, there was some prejudice which was all foolish talk.

Another seemed a bit shifty as well... and I could easily tell it t'was a Half Elf. STrange... it seemed to avoid me, but I didn't quite understand why. I could only hope that they didn't think I was a prejudice one like some were... it was so stupid, the whole just of the predicatment.

"Yes, I agree... we should leave now. Sitting here will only let our enemies smell us out from the midst of the woods. If we journey now.. we will always be a moving target."

I got up and shifted my pack upon my back along with the array of arrows and bow I carried. Gazing about at the others as they gazed at me, I sighed, gazing through the midst of the trees.
" Plus... the trees... they quiver."

Talen got up as well, as Serinia looked at me questionably. Talen spoke..
    "What do you mean?"
I held up my hand and walked towards a huge, large pine... pressing my hand against the bark, I closed my eyes softly. It groaned... and after a brief moment of silence, my hand engulfed in green aura-like flame... and I let a staggering breath out as I let go and the aura faded. Gazing to the others, my eyes were pained... as my elven expression was now of great worry. Swallowing hard, I bowed to Serinia and the others.
"The trees... they have heard of a great rumor to the North. THere are Golden Dragons like we spoke before... but the trees speak of another dragon- a large, ancient black dragon. They say he was taken... while he slept, a spell of great power was cast and he was bound by the fuel of a wizard. A powerful wizard... "

    Serinia's eyes widened... "Serbill?"
    I nodded..
"Most likely, and if he has a black dragon under his power... great chaos can come if that dragon finds us with other minions of his. We best be moving... so the dragon has harder times if these rumors the trees speak are true. If the dragon is bound against his will, he will give Serbil a harder time to control him... but if he is with Serbil of free will... "
I let it hang into the air, as the others nodded.
"Let's get moving!" Talen said, trying to rouse the others.

    Shifter's female.

    Shifter--

I glanced around again. The full Elf...Caryvii...had seen me hide my claw! But, did she see what color it was? I shrugged. No matter, she might think it was just the light. The black dragon...memories flashed through my mind, but they were unclear, short, and fuzzy. I wanted to remember, but I couldn't.

    ~*'Serinia'*~
"Let's get moving!" cried Talen. I got up and brushed myself off.
I murmured under my breath and threw my staff into the air. It spun around. Everyone watched, some awestruck, some merely waiting. It thudded down, sunk into the soil.
A beam of bright blue light erupted from it. It shone into the sky, the pointed into the north. "To the Dragon's Lair!" I said. I winked to Caryvii.
I began an old traveling song. The others chimed in in various places. The day had been evenfull. Only midday, and things had allready changed more than I thought they could in many years. We started our slow but steady acent into mountian country.
    ~*~

    -=-Hadin-=-
I watched them. I felt Sebriil's mind with me. "They are going. Go with them. You know the weak one. You should have no problem getting him to help you. Go, now!" He commanded me. I went, like a shadow.
    -=-
    Sorry, gotta go...

Ranis Shadowfury Current Profile (Skill Levels, etc.)

*Each kill provides Ranis with a Skill Point to be placed in an ability. When Certain Abilities have anough skill points, they will level up.

When a skill Levels Up, the original number of Points doubles, so it takes more to increase it to Level 3.

Later on, Level 2 and 3 forms of Tranquility and Wildfire will come up.

    Mirror Image(3)/0
    Immolation(2)/8
    Metamorphosis(2)/10
    Bladestorm(1)/0
    Tranquility(0)/8
    Wildfire(0)/9
    Rain of Chaos(0)/29

No Changes in Skills/Abilities or Items.

That was for the last post. I forgot to tack it onto the end.

    [Ranis & Ziota]

Ranis dropped to the ground and his form returned to normal. As he did his foot brushed a small charm lying next to his foot. The charm seemed evil at the core, but the shield it was emitting would prove useful. Apparently it had been the item that created Miras' barrier. The Anti-Magic Shell was amazingly powerful, anything Ranis tried could penetrate a normal barrier, but this shell could repel it as though it were steel being hit by an arrow.

Feeling that the charm could prove useful when facing Miras, Ranis tucked it into a pouch on his belt. Ziota, meanwhile, was inspecting the town. There were dead bodies everywhere, and the allies nearly tripled the enemies.

The two elves nodded to each other. They already knew what the other was thinking. They found their steeds drinking from the central water fountain. They rode off into the midday sky back toward the camp they had found in the forest. A blue beam was shooting upward from the spot now. They eventually came back to the spot where they had first traveled through the woods, and made their way to the clearing. sure enough the blue light was coming from that place, specifically from the head of a staff.

The two watched quietly from the forest. Though they tried to be quiet, Ziota tripped over his bowstring, and the jarred one bush into the most awful racket. Ranis was sure they had been heard, and he looked toward the camp, waiting for te response.

Item Changes: Ranis gained the pendent from the neclace of Spell Immunity.

Well, I found a way to work Ranis and Ziota into the story.
