[font=Garamond]Ok the reason why Aerial Ace did not do extreme damage was because Aerial Ace is not that powerful of an attack. Combined with weakness included they did 16 damage. Razor Wind missed because Lily had used a successful Double Team so your attack dispelled the clones instead of doing real damage. Quick attack does not do all that much damage either so, 3 damage which made it 19 HP lost. Also Dark Sage, paralysed does exactly what it says, it paralyzes the Pokemon at random intervals. I assure you guys I use a random number generator when deciding when the Pokemon is paralyzed. Now TML please post your attacks.

    Missing Link,

    Question answered.

If you don't post by midnight, I will not wait a minute longer.

And Asayake, I will not stand for you slowing this to a halt either. You signed up for this, you do what you are supposed to.

How dare you speak to a referee like that? Asayake is not your servant to do as you wish, nor are you her superior. However, I am your superior and I do not want to see you speaking to someone like that here. This is a fan forum, not a job, so don't expect Asayake to prioritise this reffing (or anything on TPM) over her outside life. She may have an ill relative, unreliable internet connections or be under a lot of emotional pressure.

I just cannot believe how rude you are. That's a warning. One more, and we'll fine points from you.

Asayake, if you're busy, the battlers can request a subref. If you're not too busy for this, then post in the absence tower just so we know you're relatively busy at the moment. Don't rush your reffings just to please others.

I swear to god, Sage, stop acting like a jackass. I had every right to ask my question and it's not Asayake's fault that she has a real life outside of ASB. Refs are by no means perfect and sometimes take longer than usual to make a reffing. You have no right to act like that towards anyone

Lyra, use rain dance, thunderbolt on Lily and then use body slam

    Rain Dance~Thunderbolt (Lily)~Body Slam (Lily)

Drake, slash Lily then use dragon claw and finally another slash

    Slash~Dragon Claw~Slash (all on Lily)

If Lily gets knocked out at any one point, use the other attacks on Blast

I said I was sorry, and I am. It won't happen again.

Lily, your job is to stay concious!

    First, use Double Team.

    Then, use Protect.

Finally, since it's raining anyway, hit Drake with Water Pulse.

    Double Team/Protect/Water Pulse (Drake)

Blast, since they seem to have turned their attention away from you, try to concentrate on Drake. First use Beat Up.

    Then, Iron Tail.

    Finally, use Toxic.

Beat Up/Iron Tail/Toxic (all on Drake)

Again, let me express my formal apology.

[font=garamond] Ok, Dark Sage please think before you post next time but thanks for the apology. TML also please calm down, he was rather rude but has since apologized. This all started with me not posting, so if anything be angry at me. Also, I believe this deserves a explanation for my being away. We have two computers and one recently broke down. We had to send it in and so me and my sis had to share the other one. She also posts on TPM, and well, she likes the comp more then I do so I let her have it more then me. I only came on to do an assignment for Uni. I will post the reffing today.

Drake is the first to fight and rushes over to Lily, the claws of his left hand upraised. He slams it into Lily, slicing right through her hood and into her side. Lily screeches in pain and futilely tries to grab her hood. It also causes her lid to bleed. Lyra is next and calls mournfully to the sky, dances around the field a little. The Sun fades away as storm clouds start to come pouring in from every direction. Blast gets some revenge for his team mate as he summons a shade of himself to deals very little damage to Drake. Lily is whimpering but manages to concentrate and splits herself into four copies, making a total of five Lotad’s panting on the field.

The rain has started to pour and all of Lily’s clones disappear. No matter, Lily goes first this round with her Protect, but she is barely awake as she does this. He raises his right claw this time, and makes it drip with draconic energy. He runs at her and slices at her protection to no avail. Lily is the next to try. She charges up her limited electronic abilities. She lets fly but she also just bounces off the shield. Both Pokemon are really panting now, starting to waver on their feet. Blast takes his second free chance and slams his now grey and sharp tail into Drake. Drake roars at the pain, and grabs his now bleeding side.

Drake decides another Slash is in order. He raises his paw and swipes, hitting the real Lily. She screams in pain, her side is really bleeding now. Lyra takes this advantage and Body Slams Lily, making her a little indented into the ground. Lily moans and is just barely conscious. Drake and Lyra are wobbling on their paws, and look near to collapse. Blast is quite fine and sets about making his saliva poisonous. He then spits a gob at Drake, and it splatters all over his skin. He shakes, causing him to fall over. He grumbles at his ill luck. Lily gathers up her failing energy and discharges a tremendously powerful Water Pulse at Drake. His screams are lost in the water. When the attack stops, Lily collapses with no more energy left. The rain continues to pour as Dark Sage returns Lily, leaving Blast alone on the pouring battlefield.

I would like to remind everyone that we are allowed a total of four pokemon for this battle, so I can now send out a replacement.

And I choose Venus, my female Kirlia!

    Go, Venus!

    Venus, first, use Safeguard.

Then, since it is raining, use Thunderbolt on Lyra.

Then, use Psychic on Drake to slam him into the ground.

    Safeguard/Thunderbolt (Lyra)/Psychic (Drake)

Blast, use Dragon Rage on Drake, twice!

Then, hit him with Iron Tail!

If he faints, or collapses, turn your attacks on Lyra, and we'll see what TML brings out.

Poor Drake is so close to fainting that it very much looks like he will only be able to complete one attack. The rain beads off his hanging head. He summons up the remainder of his meagre reserves and runs at Venus in a last ditch effort. He chomps on her arm, but not with the full amount of force possible. The dark energy is not crackling to its full efficiency. That is not to say it does not hurt the poor Psychic type. She screams and wrenches her arm free of Drake’s jaws as he collapses, unconscious.

Lyra flicks a tired glance at her partner as he falls; she decides to complete at least one attack. She takes a deep breath and spews out her version of the Water Pulse. The rings encircle the flow, but do not confuse Blast as they hit him. The rain adds power to her attack and Blast disappears under the torrent of water. When he comes out, he is have a seizure on the ground, splashing like a Magicarp in the puddle.

Venus does not look to happy with her partners inability to attack. She sighs, and then puts on a fake smile as she twirls on spot, calling up her status protection. The little glowing lights appear at her bidding and circle he like little protective moons. The rain continues to poor, making the ground slightly slippery. TML returns her Charmeleon, praising his efforts.

Well, Venus, since they seem to be ignoring you...

First, use Skill Swap on Orion. Try to gain his powerful defense and give him one of your weaknesses.

    Then, use Calm Mind.

Then, since it's raining, use Thunderbolt on Lyra.

    Skill Swap (Orion)/Calm Mind/Thunderbolt (Lyra)

Drake, I want you to try to go out with a bang. It may be raining, but your most powerful weapon should still hurt Orion if the paralysis doesn't stop you...

    Use OVERHEAT!

If you're still standing, hit him with Dragon Claw twice.

Blast does not look happy about the rotten weather, at least by his standards of weather. The ref looks perfectly happy under her umbrella. None of the Pokémon looks particularly happy about the worsening shape of their arena; soon it will dissolve into muck. Blast however looks slightly more cheerful at TML’s next choice of Pokémon; he knows he has an advantage of this Pokémon, even with the rain.

Lyra decides to sit this one out, and looks very happy at her orders. She unceremoniously flops down onto the wet grass, panting. Blast is charging his attack and Orion takes this chance to set up a glowing force field of circling lights. It is a good thing he did. Blast has taken the deepest breath possible with his lungs and lives up to his namesake. He blasts a torrent of fire straight for Orion. The rain weakens it, but when it engulfs Orion it still does major damage. A shadowy outline of a screaming Scizor can be seen through the flames.

Venus looks much happier with her partner now as he finishes his attack. He looks over at her exhausted, as Orion goes down on one knee, clearly in great pain. His skin is actually glowing a little. She gives Blast a smile before concentrating on Orion. She studies his body before glowing bright white. When it dims her skin has a metallic shine, and the rain just flows off it. Unfortunately, Orion has gained one of her benefits instead of her weaknesses. He glows in response to the attack and when it dims his skin has pearly quality to it.

Lyra is still quite tired but definitely has the energy for a full Water Pulse. She breaths deep again, before releasing the surge of water on Blast. It was easy to hit him this round, as he is not moving. Besides random twitches of paralysis, he is immobilized. Orion decides that running is probably not a good idea this round and flies over to Blast, his claw getting bright. He slams Blast, quite angry for the amount of damage he dealt him last round. Venus ignores all of this and mediates. She focuses her being on doing the utmost damage to her foe, and not being distracted.

Lyra finishes off poor Blast, even as he very slowly gets to his feet. Her flood of water is too much for him to handle, and he goes down for the final time. Orion is left without an opponent to target and just looks around helplessly. Venus does not seem to care her partner has gone down, too focused on Lyra. She brings the energy in the air to her body and concentrates it more then usual before letting fly on the Absol. Lyra yelps and looks a little dazed when the attack is done. Dark Sage returns his Charmander, looking quite happy with his Pokémon’s efforts.

    Blast, return!

Good boy, now take it easy...

I choose... Silver, my male Aron! I choose you!

Silver, let's brighten things up... use Sunny Day!

Then, try to lock Lyra up with a Rock Tomb. She's the biggest concern.

Then, try to boost your defense with Iron Defense!

    Sunny Day/Rock Tomb (Lyra)/Iron Defense

Venus, first use Safeguard on your partner.

    Next, use Double Team

Finally, use Shockwave on Lyra. We have to try to take her out before she uses a Dark attack.

The rain is still pouring at the beginning of this round, but Silver will soon see to that. He doesn’t look much enthused by the rainfall, but still ready to give this fight his all. Lyra takes advantage of the rain while she can and musters her dwindling energy to blast her new opponent with water. The attack works just as well on this foe as the last. He is blasted of his feet, and skid on the grass. Orion makes up for his partners lack of dark attacks to sweep over to Venus as a dark shade, and slam her hard. She reels from the hit and glares at the Scizor. He smiles evilly in response.

Venus snorts and turns to her tiny partner and makes the glowing balls around her appear around him. He looks grateful and nods to her. Silver then turns his attention on the sky. He chants and does weird ritualistic poses. The rain slowly stops, and the Sun peaks through. He continues until the Sun is blazing down in full force. It is so bright in brings out the multicoloured shades of Orion’s new skin as he shifts. Orion looks down at himself and smiles, amused.

Lyra knows she has barely any energy left, so she throws every last ‘cent’ into her Water Pulse. She pours on the water, and manages to flip over Silver and hit his underside. Even with the Sunny Day lessening her attack she manages to do a great deal of damage. After she is done however she collapses, every last reserve gone. Orion waits for Venus to make her copies, which she does with a twirl. He quickly blows them away, and makes Venus even more ticked off. Silver weakly gets to his feet, the mud actually suctioning him down a little; He is disappointed to his foe down for the count. He really wanted to hit her with rocks.

The newly arrived Chiron speedily executes his next move. He focuses on his partner, and forms a telepathic link with his mind. The result is that Chiron now gains the boosted Special Defence, and Safeguard as well. Orion starts to call up his attack of Silver Wind, but sees his target already calling up her own defences. He speeds up and tries to launch it before she is completed, but is unable to do so. The next second they are all shaking about as the tiny little Aron is rocking the arena about. Venus is saved by her Protect, but the other two are not. They get jostled about, and take some pretty significant damage.

Chiron gets his revenge on the opponents’ party by blasting Venus with a bolt of electricity. She is not appreciative, and twitches a little as she gets up from being knocked to the ground. She starts to concentrate on her opponent as Orion speeds off towards Silver. He makes his fearsome claw shine with steel power as he flies toward him. He slams the poor creature upside the head and sends him reeling, dealing good damage. Venus wrenches a hold of her opponents mind and locks up ‘his’ next move of Psychic from being used at all. Silver is a little frustrated at Orion and let’s loose a mighty Roar at his two opponents. As it is only supposed to be used on one Pokemon, they get a little intimidated by him, but not enough to totally refuse to attack him.

Chiron is unable to use his next move of Psychic, as he just can’t for the life of him remember how. No matter, Orion sweeps in and slams Venus with a Pursuit once again. He deals good damage as well. Venus knows her partner is about to attack him so concentrates on attacking Chiron. She lets fly with her boosted Shock Wave, but it is nullified somewhat by Chiron’s newly pearly skin. Silver comes up behind Orion and slams him right where his wing attaches to his body, not dealing extra damage, but causing him to fall to the ground stunned.

Everyone is ignoring Silver as he begins to burrow into the pliable soil of Bulbasaur’s Garden. He is soon long gone under the ground, only a hole indicating where he once was. Orion is a stunned and takes a while to get into the air, which does works well for him. Venus has already long since set up her Double Team. He lets fly with a bout of sharp air, wiping out all of her clones. Chiron now takes his chance and blasts Venus with a sharp Thunderbolt. The electricity curses through her, and she come out a little staticy.

Chiron is the next Pokemon to use a Double Team, and it does its purpose well. When Venus lets loose her grass attack, it wipes out his clones, but leaves Chiron with no damage at all. He seems quite happy, and so is Orion when Silver comes bursting out of the ground, but totally unable to hit his flying opponent. Orion is taking a break, but because he is flying while he is doing it, he gains up less energy.

It is Venus’s turn to take a breather, and she is much appreciating for it. That is, until she is his upside the head with a Pursuit from Orion. She is sent careening across the field, ending up in Silver’s hole. She screeches as she falls, but is relatively unhurt at the bottom. Silver meanwhile is flying at Chiron, his almost none existent tail glowing. His small frame however is relatively easily blasted back by Chiron. His is still slightly intimidated by Silver, so only makes him ‘go away’ and doesn’t aim for maximum damage.

Orion decides that he would like to hold the record for fastest moving object in ASB history. He concentrates for a second, increasing the oxygen rich blood flowing to his wing joints. He flashes his eyes open and zips over to an almost helpless Silver. He raises his left claw, making it glow silver, and becoming, obviously, steel hard. He brings his arm down but Silver hasn't been sitting idly, he opens his mouth and snarls at Orion. Orion pulls his swing and makes a very un-Scizor like screech before zipping away from Silver, shivering all over. Silver grins evilly, sniggering. He got a big mantis to be afraid of a puny little dino.

Meanwhile Chiron has leapt into the air and is spinning through the air, a much faster way to get over to Silver's hole. He leans over the hole and tilts back a little before launching a stream of bubbles from the top point into the hole. He hears a satisfying popping sound, but no groaning. When he stops he looks down and notices his quarry is no long there. He gets a tap on his right point. He turns and sees a grinning Venus, totally unharmed.

He is none to pleased and immediately starts to gather the various energies needed for a tri attack. They swirl around him for a second before they are launched at Venus. They would have done good damage, but her steel toughened skin gives he some protection against the beams. She in turn gathers her wits and swipes her hands at the Starmie, leaves launching out of her hands. They stick into his skin, but the pearly quality gives him some protection as well.

Orion has launched his very fast attack and so is open for Silvers slam. Silver manages to hit him in the stomach, right where his lower body joins his top. Normally a normal attack would do little, but Silver managed to a rather sensitive spot and Orion grunts before quickly flying away from his menacing little adversary. When the last round of attacks comes he very gladly flies speedily up as high as he can, far out of reach of poor little Silver. He tries, ripping rocks out of the beautiful meadow, but he can't quite reach that high up. The rocks fall back down, having done no damage to Orion.

Chiron ignores Venus and slams Silver with a slightly less powerful Bubblebeam then usual. He is bombarded by bubbles and looks very indignant when the stream stops coming at him. He glares at Chiron, not happy with the damage he has taken. Venus gets back for her teammate by shocking Chiron. The electricity jounces him around and when it is finished he is twitching a little.

    ------******------

[color=#0066ff]Chiron is glad to hear that he will sit this round out. As much as a Starmie can, he plops down and folds his tops half a bit. Not much, that big jewel does get in the way of a proper ‘flopping’ motion. He is chillin but is slammed by a multitude of rainbow coloured leaves. These scrap and dig into his fishy skin, leaving many cuts along his body. Venus sniggers; finally she gets a good solid hit in against the powerful Starmie. Starmie makes this weird sort of sigh sound. He seems to be saying ‘kids’.

Orion nervously glances in Silver’s direction but he does not seem to be paying any attention to the bug. It relieves Orion and he starts to gurgle. Gurgle quite loudly and disgustingly as purple goo starts to slip over his mouth a little. He then grins madly at Venus who looks at him in confusion. Purple goo oozes through his teeth for a second before he vomit-hurls the glob at Venus. It splatters all over her hardened skin. She has no Safeguard left, but because of her steel toughened skin it only poisons her normally, not toxically. Silver gets Chiron attention before roaring tremendously at him. He shivers and involuntarily takes a few steps backward.

Silver gives the signal to Venus who nods. She sets up a Protective shield around herself, not allowing anyone, including her partner harm her. Chrion knows what Silver is up too and quite happily put up a shield of his own. It will keep that NASTY little Aron away from him. Orion just snorts and flutters his wings more slowly, keep himself above the ground and away from harm as he rests. Silver, apparently oblivious to this, hops up and down like Kiss at one of their concerts. The ground lurches and sways to his ‘beat’ but causes absolutely no damage to anyone.

Silver and Venus both decide to set the alarm clock to a later date and take a seat on the ground. The have a bit of a chat to one another and if they were British and not in the middle of a battle right now they might have a spot of tea. ANYWAY, Chiron takes giddy advantage of this and calls upon all the static electricity that is available. It ain’t much but it will get the job done. He fires said energy at Venus. She jigs and hops as the electricity hits her, causing her body to do a very drunk routine of the Irish Riverdance. Orion quickly puts a stop to this as he sweeps in, slightly dark in colour as he slams her with a powerful Pursuit. The Sun fades and the light is back to normal as this round comes to a close.

I don't really like what you did with Toxic but I suppose that counters Imprison. And I don't see any reason to believe that a Scizor and Starmie would still be afraid of a small thing like an Aron. Startled from the Roar, perhaps, but not actually frightened of him

Since I suppose you don't want to attack Silver up close, Chiron, attack from afar and use confuse ray. Then use bubblebeam and then relax. If he tries to go underground, flush him out with water gun

    Confuse Ray (Silver)~Bubblebeam (Silver)~Relax

Orion, use double team, silver wind on Venus and then pursuit on her again

I also don't know how a Scizor could have avoided an Earthquake. He isn't a Flyer.

Venus, relax for the first two of your turns. Let Silver use his "remedy". Then use Magical Leaf on Chiron.

Silver, use Smellingsalt on Venus to cure the paralysis. Then chase down Chiron and use Iron Tail twice.

In 'Wird for Battle' (one of my favorite Johto episodes), Scizor flew into the air. I haven't seen the episode in a long time but I do remember that part

Scizor is one of the few non-fliers which has the ability to fly:

This clearly shows Scizor has wings, and as Becca said, it flies in the anime. However, since it is not a natural flier (like a Pidgey for example) it is debatable whether Scizor needs to be ordered to fly to avoid attacks like Earthquake or Magnitude or if it flies in response to the attack. I would go with the former one.

[font=sylfaen] Okie dokie, I made the Toxic do that because Venus stole the defensive abilities of Orion, which is part Steel and so her skin would become steel like to become more resisitant to physical hits. Since Poison has no effect on Steel it made sense to me that a Pokemon who has steel-like skin would be somewhat resistant to its effects.

Silver may be small but in the attacks it said they become afraid of the Pokemon who roared at them. He is yelling ferociously at the top of his voice, it isn't pleasent to be 'yelled' at.

Ok since Orion had been flying for the last two rounds already, TML said to rest while flying. She could see the Earthquake coming so I figured she meant to do the same thing over again, rest up in the air, thus avoiding the Earthquake.

I know but common sense has to be put into play. A roar can be frightful if coming from the right source. A roar from a lion or bear would be scary but to me, an Aron is like a house cat. You would be unnerved by it but not actually scared. As it would evolve into a Lairon and then Aggron then yeah, it would be a plausible attack to use

I'm not arguing for it to be changed or anything. I'm just saying what I think its effects should be

[color=#0066ff]Venus N-O-T happy about this new situation of bein paralysed. She hates it so much (or her trainer does, either way) that she is even willin to take a hit from her partner, just so it goes away. She winces when she hears the orders but knows that just like Buckley's, it tastes awful, but it works. Silver turns to his partner and smiles that says 'I am really sorry about this but it has to be done.'

Meanwhile Chiron is quite happy to hear that instead of hitting his opponent he gets to try and confuse the heck out of him. He fires off a ray of ultimate confusability. He aims carefully, but because Silver is very preoccupied with the whole 'I have to hit my partner' that he is minimally effected by the beam. He has to think for a second about his attacks. He remembers, he has to punch his partner. Venus manages to get her muscles spasms under control and relaxes on the ground, catching her breath as much as can be done. Silver runs over to Venus and smacks her in the chest quite forcefully. She winces and grunts but her paralysis has been lifted. Orion does his routine manoeuvre of Pokemon guess who. Or if you prefer, duck, duck, Scizor! (for the uninitiated Double Team)

Orion is quite pleased to hear that he gets to hit a very prone Venus upside the head. Well not quite, he gets to slice and dice and makes his very own Kirlia flambé. Venus is chillin on the field, glad to be rid of her paralysis and nursing a bruise on her chest. Then she gets hit my some very nasty light green leaf things and yelps at each one that hits her. She comes out with a brand new hairdo, her long locks having been chopped. Orion looks proud of his creation. Chiron has the unfortunate experience of having to try and stop a very evil little Aron that is trying to hit him with his almost non-existent tail. Chiron is terrified but does managed to make the little bugger miss him completely in his bubble stream.

Orion is first off the eight ball once again and swipes in close to Venus and slams her in the chest. She grunts, all she can do having the wind knocked right out of her. She gets up and looks indignantly at Orion, she very much wishes she could give it to him for the total disaster her 'hair' has become. She sighs heavily and sends off a Magical Leaf at Chrion. They sweep in and leave very scrap and deep cuts in the poor water types skin. Chiron almost doesn't notice he is trying to relax but is shivering in his metaphorical boots as Silver comes over and finally manages to slam him with his stub that is also known as a tail. Venus gets a little green with the poison, and Chrion and Orion start to realize how dumb they are bein, afraid of a little moving bolder.

Venus, use Shadow Ball on Chiron, twice.

    Then use Facade on Orion.

Silver, use Double Edge on Orion.

Then relax for the rest of the round.
