    Tange, Aya
    Vlas

[color=lightblue]“AYA!” Kiya bounded toward me as Yuki and I entered the mall, stepping through the automatic door. I barely had time to react before I was tackled to the ground. “Aya, Aya, look.” Kiya breathed gasping in and out for breaths as she tried to roll up her shirt.

“Kiya, girls don’t do that” I yanked her shirt back down as onlookers began to pass by and stare at the crazy girl and her friend.

“Hey you two!” Kanna smiled walking up to us as Yuki helped both of us back up. “We were just leaving..” Her voice trailed off at the sight of both of our smiling faces.

“Can Kiya come with us?” I begged, giving off the most childish grin possible. Kanna just rolled her eyes so I figured it was time to move it up to stage two of begging. “Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease.” I strung out the ‘e’ as long as possible.

Kiya picking up on this added her own voice in, saying. “Easeeeee.”

“Fine, fine, but you two have to take her home.” Kanna through her arms up in the air as Kiya and I smiled happily.

“Now, c’mon you two.” Yuki sighed taking Kiya and I by the hand and leading us into a department store. “It feels like I am a babysitter..” She mumbled leading us up to the second level where they kept dresses and other girlish items.

“Now pick out anything you want.” Yuki smiled as I looked back at her in disbelief.

    “Anything?” I breathed in disbelief.

“Anything, and do you want anything Kiya?” Yuki asked turning to Kiya, Kiya walked over slowly and began to sniff one of the dresses before turning back and shaking her head no. “Okay, then just you Aya.”

The smile on my face grew even wider. I had never ever had the chance of getting anything I wanted; usually it was handy downs from my brother, or something from the goodwill store. If we were to ever get something new it usually came in the form of an illegal activity. This time I was getting something and I didn’t have to steal it. “What do you think of this?” I asked Yuki coming out with a new dress on, this one more spring like with a very light blue color, the shoulders open, and small flower designs going down the side of it. Kiya nodded happily as I spun in front of the mirror while Yuki gave me a thumbs up.

“Now..” Yuki began as she paid the casher for the dress that I had refused to take off. “Comes the fun part.” She added clamping down on my wrist and dragging me in the direction of the make up booth.

“No, no please anything but that.” I cried, grabbing a clothes rack and knocking off several of the dresses on it in the progress. “Yukiiiii.” I pleaded as she pulled my hands free from the rack and threw me down onto the make up chair.

“Kiya, hold her down.” Yuki commanded as she went to get the make up person. I began to struggle only to feel Kiya’s hands clamp down on both of my wrists and forced me to remain still in the seat.

    ~*~*~*~

“What do you think?” The woman asked spinning me around in the chair, I gasped when I saw the mirror, was that really me? The girl with her hair down and combed, lipstick on her lips, and eye shadow? The girl that looked like Yuki’s age than some kid that was just another bully?

“Is that me?” I asked, looking back and forth from Kiya and Yuki and then back to the mirror. “What do you think Kiya?” I asked turning back to her. She glanced around and then walked up sniffing the lipstick a little and then the perfume they had sprayed on me.

“Aya, pretty, but…why?” She questioned poking the lipstick tube. That was a good question, was this really me? I had never been girlish or anything but now, when I was with Yuki, I did feel like a girl.

“Sometimes, it’s just fun to dress up, I guess.” I shrugged trying to figure out a response. “Right Yuki?” I smiled glancing up at her. Out of the corner of my eye I spotted what looked like Ami, yet when I turned back she was gone.

“Yep, now I’m going to go pay for this stuff so…” Her voice was interrupted when I jumped down from the chair and cut her off. “Here, you two go have fun.” She sighed handing over 2,000 yen.

I smiled grasping the money before taking Kiya’s hand and running out into the mall. “Hey Kiya? Have you ever had candy?” I asked as we ran through the mall.

“Can-dy?” She asked as we ran, slowing once we reached the candy store.

“Oh then you will love this!” I smiled, walking her inside the candy store. I didn’t even look like myself anymore, I looked, grown up? I could be myself, I could act like a kid with out anyone noticing, that was something that I hadn’t done since I couldn’t remember. Today was turning out to be the best day of my life

    Saotome, Emi
    Duran

I kept my body in a crouched stance as Kami lay next to me, she raised her head only slightly to give me a sideways glance as her Child dissolved away, just like Aya’s did and Duran did a while back. “You did good!” I grinned helping her onto her feet. She shook off the dust that seemed to have already faded away to nothingness and looked herself over.

That monster, it looked like a mixture of one of the babies and the big one that Yuki and I had fought early. Could one of them have escaped? It made sense there was that one that got past Yuki. Could it have gotten out and powered up? Maybe even coming after me to finish the job? Too many questions were running through my head as I glanced back at Kami.

“You look like shit.” I fought back a laugh as she shot a glare over to me. I instantly quelled the laughter and helped her outside and onto a bench at the bus stop. Out of the way of the medics that were piling in to take care of the injured people. “They got here fast..” I whispered trying to stay out of their sight. I didn’t want to answer any annoying questions right now.

“So you’re a HiME too?” Kami’s voice brought my attention back over to her. I shrugged and sat down next to her, cutting off a piece of my sleeve to wrap around her wound. “Thanks..” She grimaced as I secured it to cut off any bleeding.

“I’m not a HiME, I haven’t agreed to anything yet, I’m a spectator.” I answered her back before flipping open my cell phone. Yuki had given me her cell phone number before I left her back at the field house at the school. This was going to be fun. I gasped in a large amount of air and winked to Kami before pressing talk. “Yuki! There was a attack at the mall, another HiME appeared and there was a big battle with lots of explosions, it was awesome, call me back when you get this, bye.” I rambled off like a child on sugar.

“She is going to flip when she hears that.” Kami giggled, I nodded as I caught the sight of Nagi sleeping in a tree, tucked securely in the branches. “What is it?” Kami piped up trying to follow my line of sight.

I got up from the bench and took a few uneasy steps in the direction of Nagi. Images of Aya trying to shoot Nagi and the whole scene played through my head again. Was he truly evil? Was Aya and Yuki the evil ones? Aya did try to harm him. “I’ll be right back, stay out of sight of those medics.” I whispered. Kami nodded and I was off running in the direction of where Nagi slept. It was only a quick stride before I reached the tree; I pondered doing something to knock him out and then decided against it. “Hey teacher.” I shouted up to him.

Nagi turned over lazily and opened an eye at me slowly, realization struck him that I was one of those ‘HiME’s’ and he came to full awareness. “Why Emi, I wasn’t expecting to see you here.” He yawned hopping down from his tree branch. “What brings you to wake me?”

I cocked my head to the side studying him for a second before shrugging and putting on one of my grins. “If I am going to do this HiME thing, I want to know who the players are.” I replied placing my arms behind my head and taking a body stance of relaxation.

“I can’t tell you who all the HiME’s are, I don’t even..” He trailed off as I shook my hand to quickly stop that answer.

“I mean you.” I stated as Nagi’s eyes lit up. “Aya seems to hate you a lot, and you seem to be more than a simple school teacher. So tell me, how are you connected to all of this?” I asked leaning against the tree trying to figure him out.

“Aya has always hated me, along with some of the other HiME’s I really don’t know why.” He sighed his voice filled with sorrow. “As for how I am connected to all of this, well that would be spoiling” He grined. I grined back just as mischievously.

I walked over to Nagi, close enough that there were almost only a few inches between our faces. “Do you think I hate you?” I whispered, not in fear of some one was listening in, just to heighten the closeness of the scene.

Nagi smiled back and kept his answer short and sweet. “No, not yet at least.” He kept his voice down low to mimic mine.

“Good.” I chirped up and leaned in kissing the side of his cheek, not willing to waste a good exit I walked past him leaving him standing there. “By the way, I like being spoiled.” I replied referring to his remark about his purpose being a spoiler. I couldn’t hear a response if he even gave one before I had walked out of earshot.

Kami jumped up at the sight of me as I quickly walked over to her and checked on her wounds. “Where did you go?” She asked obviously not having seen Nagi, which in essence was a relief; I had no idea what she thought of Nagi. “The medics just left, they took a lot of people with them.” She stated her voice wavering a bit in fear.

“It’s okay, now c’mon lets go find one of those stores that sell bandages and get you cleaned up.” I suggested leading Kami back into the mall, she didn’t seem to mind so I decided to sweeten the deal for my friend that. “I’ll even buy you something, anything you want, just name it!” I smiled.

“Really?” She asked in shock as I spotted the end of a glowing tail sneak in through a loading door of a shop. It was one of those tiger orphan babies. From the size of it's tail it didn't look fully grown yet. "You saw that too..." She wispered her weapon materializing infront of her as we both took cover from the sight of prying eyes.

With a nod and a shake of my wrist the two pistols appeared in my hands. "Did you catch the shop it went into?" I asked taking off with a dash, Kami right behind me as we burst through the automatic doors and into the mall.

"Women's Unlimited, it's the lingerie shop across the book store." Kami pointed out as we rounded the corner out into the central area of the mall. Out of the corner of my eye I spotted Kanna watching us along with Tsuneo, our eyes met before her sight traveled down to the pistols in my hand. The smell of perfume assaulted my nose and snapped my attention back as we came close to the shop. With a bit of luck I realized that it was near the battle scene and the only people around was really Kanna and her friend, everyone else was probably just returning or being checked on by the medics meaning the shop was empty.

"Alright be ready for anything." I said as I moved back into battle mode, I was the first in rushing into the shop with guns ready, it was too small to summon a child in with bras and other undergarments hanging everywhere. "I dont see any..." I turned back to Kami only to be cut off a large pink object slaming into the side of my face. I fell backwards onto the ground as the object slumped down the side of my face. With my hands shaking in anger I picked it up to realize that it was a large bra. That little creature was throwing undergarments at me.

"Okay, this is war." I grunted jumping up and shooting wildly. That monster would pay for the insult of throwing a bra at me!

Fujiwara Kanna, Kiyohime (plus cameo from Yatagarasuhime)
    "KILLAH"
    ---------------------

In the room where she sat there was not a sound. In one hand she held a flute, and in the other she counted beads of burnished wood, dark against her lily-white fingers.

Presently she came to the number nine. Then she blew upon the flute.

When she came to the number nine times nine, her song faltered, and the note became urgent.

A crow cawed outside, and she nodded, and she slid the flute up the long sleeve of her kimono.

    *

Slightly relieved at having gotten rid of Kiya momentarily, Kanna was strolling along an undestroyed corridor of the mall, Tsuneo following her and occasionally walking into a pillar as his nose was stuck firmly in a book, when she saw the mess happening in the lingerie store. Emi-HiME and Kami-HiME and Orphan soon fitted together nicely in her head, and made a nice explanation for the underwear flying everywhere amidst haphazard gunshots.

Kanna felt like laughing. She knew it wasn't right to, but she wanted to, anyway. Naturally, there being limited nerve sensors connecting Kanna's prudent brain to Kanna's unprudent vocal chords, she laughed.

She would have laughed till her sides ached had a thong not hit her between the eyes first. (It was feathered, sequined, ribboned, and really, really kinky.)

Tsuneo was suddenly aware of the intense wave of anger emanating around his sister, destroying minor dust mites in its sheer potency. Her eyes were glowing with a maniacal inner light that the Fujiwara brothers had long learned to fear. When Kanna spoke, it was in carefully controlled syllables.

"I've got to deal with a little problem, so, Tsuneo-"

This time a spotted bikini flew past her cheek and caught on her ear. "GO. HOME. NOW."

Tsuneo sometimes felt that his sister rightly deserved her nickname of oni.

    *

    "GAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!"

Kami, who was merely blocking the flying lingerie with her poleaxe instead of shooting madly at everything in sight like Emi, turned around in surprise to witness the charge of Kamikaze Kanna wielding a rapidly slicing naginata. The younger girl leaped clean over her head in a somersault and shredded more 'underwear missiles' to pieces, aiming a drop kick at the miniscule Orphan and hitting the floor instead. A slew of bullets followed the trail of the Orphan, thanks to Emi, and soon the walls were full of pockmarks.

The little wretch made faces at the three of them (quite creative ones actually). This was probably a mistake, because it made Kanna snarl:

    "KIYOHIME!"

As the serpent's heads began to appear through the tiles, Emi yelled, "Kanna! Don't summon a [expletive] Child HERE, of all places! We'll be crushed to sodding little bits!"

Kanna's eyes gleamed. "Since this mall is done for anyway, why don't we finish it off once and for all?"

The least that could be said of the ensuing events would be that the local contractors were indeed very pleased.

    --------------------------------
    Minamoto Izumi, Diana (discovery pending)
    "Half Right"
    ------------------------------------------

Everything was happening so quickly, but Izumi was on top of it. Really. She was *fine*. She understood what was happening. It fitted. She'd been expecting it...

At least, that was what she told herself. Not to mention cute, weird Homura-sensei hitting monster crows on beaks with a book, and of course Kei -

-Kei pinned against her her back to the wall where he'd pushed her earlier away from the bird and the teacher, and yes, well, did she mention that she herself was a perfectly normal teenager with functioning pheromones, although she knew much better than to show that she actually owned such substances, and now wasn't the time to be playing parts, and Kei was a physically very attractive human of the opposite sex, she believed the correct term might be hot, and she had been nursing a childhood friendship that had slowly turned into a crush without either of them noticing it, before it was too late-

Something didn't quite ring true in Izumi's head about the 'opposite sex' bit, but her warning system, usually functioning so well in other situations, chose to shut down in intimate ones.

She looked up at him, and he was beautiful.

She leaned in, and their lips met.

    Then: "I-Izu-chan... we can't - I can't-"

And the moment was broken. Kei tried to smile but couldn't quite cut it; he walked her home and they were silent; when they parted at her gate Izumi felt that something had changed, between Kei and her, and she couldn't know what it was, not yet.

    Not yet.

Short and hopefully... sweet? ...I admit that my *real* hobby is procrastinating. Sorry! >< Oh yeah, and beat me with a stick if I mischaracterized Kei.

    Kiya
.: Undiscovered HiME of Miroku :.

Kiya smiled as she walked with both Yuki and Aya as they approached this ‘candy store’ which Aya had spoken of. Upon entering the store, Kiya’s eyes opened wide with awe.
“Here…” Aya stated, instantly picking a few items and scooping them and then putting them into a bag. She handed it to Kiya, and Kiya instantly plucked a few of the candy items and put them into her mouth. Upon a few chews, suddenly Kiya’s eyes widened.
“WAAAI!” Kiya proclaimed, instantly inhaling the rest of the candy and demanding more. After what seemed like several minutes, Yuki was sweatdropping as she looked at Aya.
“I don’t think we can afford to buy anymore candy…”
Kiya seemed oblivious to this, as she continued to eat more of the candy in a happy binge. This continued for quite some time… as Kiya scampered about the store and caused quite a mess with taking as much candy as possible.
“CANDY!” Kiya proclaimed, and she began to take a bite of another piece of candy when she suddenly stopped. Her eyes widened slightly, as she sniffed the air.
“Kiya…?” Aya stated, tilting her head to the side in confusion, when suddenly Kiya charged straight at Yuki and Aya. Her eyes were narrowed and she was glaring.
“Go.” Kiya stated, grabbing Aya and Yuki both by the arm and pulling them out of the store.
“B-but… we haven’t paid!” Yuki stated, fighting back when suddenly Kiya yelled.
“GO! BAD! BAD! GO!” Kiya suddenly screamed, pushing Aya and Yuki at the same time so that they fell upon their faces just outside of the store. It was exactly at that time that a huge eruption of chaos insued. A large, squid-like monsters with huge gaping snake-like heads seemed to emerge from the middle of the mall. With such a large monster, the mall was collapsing all around them. Aya and Yuki barely managed to avoid being smashed by a pillar as Kiya had pushed them. It seemed a monster was battling the large squid-like snake monster.
Kiya paused for a second, staring at the snake monster.
“… Kanna-chan…” Kiya whispered, seeing barely a noticeable figure in the rising dust. Kiya soon snapped into reality, as Aya yelled for Yuki to get up. Kiya swiftly rushed to them and grabbed Aya’s hand.
“Follow Kiya. Kiya good for escape.” She stated, and Aya nodded as Yuki rose to her feet. Swiftly Kiya led them out of the mall… having remarkable memory of the mall and seeming to know where to avoid danger. They swiftly followed, and it wasn’t long until she had led them to the outside exit of the mall. Aya and Yuki were both out of breath, and Kiya merely turned to look back at mall. Large roars and a few explosions filled the air… and both Aya and Yuki seemed to be in awe at this, while also having some look of understanding.
“So… there is another…” Aya stated roughly, narrowing her eyes as Yuki seemed lost in thoughts. Kiya looked at the both of them and then back to the visible monster, and frowned slightly.
    “… Orphan…”

    Kei Yugomoto
    .: HiME of Harry | M :.
    [color=silver]

Kei’s eyes widened as he pulled himself away from Izumi. Had… had they just… kissed? For the moment, when their lips had met… Kei felt a warmth surround him. A warmth like he had never felt before… and for that split moment- that single moment when everything felt right in the world, Kei felt bliss. However, with the soft touch of her lips against his… suddenly a realization came to him.
The realization that this would not work. This could not happen…
“Izumi-chan… we can’t-I can’t…” Kei said softly, breaking away from her. His brilliant olive green eyes gazed deeply into hers, and he felt such pain from saying those words to her. But… Kei wasn’t really a he… Kei was a female. A female just like Izumi, and such a love… such an act was not allowed. It wasn’t fair to Izumi… she, she thought Kei was a boy… ever since childhood. If she ever found out…
“I… I am sorry… Izumi-chan…” Kei said softly, turning away from her. The rest was a blur, he had led her to her gate at her home and then they had parted. Kei had watched her go halfway up to her house, and Kei bit his lip. He wanted nothing more than to shout to her… to say, “I … I care for you Izumi!” or some thing to that affect, but no words came to his mind. It was a blank- for once in his life, Kei had no answer.

Walking home, Kei felt isolated… his eyes rested upon the sidewalk as he softly headed back towards his home. Gazing up into the sky, he saw an explosion erupt into the air- in the direction of the mall.
“… HiME…” Kei said softly, frowing softly as he bit his lip. A tear formed in the corner of his eye, as he slumped to the ground.
“Why… why…” Kei said softly, placing his hands on the sidewalk as he collapsed right in front of his house. Tears spilled down his cheeks, as he shook his head.
“It… it didn’t have to be this way… we… they didn’t have to do what they did…” Kei lifted his head upwards, gazing to the explosion in the sky.
“Dammit… WHY!!?!!” Kei screamed, as crows fluttered into the sky.

    Tange, Aya
    Vlas

There are other HiME’s. More of them with more destructive children then even Vlas and Yuki’s child. This thought filled my world and ensnared my mind as Yuki and I walked back to her house in silence. We had dropped Kiya off as promise and as the sun began to dip low upon the horizon, we walked in absolute silence. Our footsteps the only melody in the air. “Hey, Aya?” Yuki asked, breaking the silence as we arrived at her house, our feet standing on the warm moist grass. “I had a good time today.” She added smiling lightly with the bag full of make up in her hands.

“I did too.” I smiled back as Yuki threw an arm around me, to embrace me in an almost sisterly hug before we walked in. The sweet aroma of dinner filled the house, it was a pleasant aroma filled with comfort, warmth, and love. Dropping off our bounty of goods upon Yuki’s bed, we made our way to the kitchen where Yuki asked if I could stay a few days while I slid into a seat at the table.

“I guess if it is okay with your dad.” Yuki’s mom replied a bit on the worried side even if her tone sounded as if everything was okay. I thanked them and began to talk to Yuki as we ate something called goulash, a meal filled with meat, noodles, and cheese. It truly was one of the best things I had eaten in a long time.

“So, Aya how are your grades in school?” Yuki’s mom or Namiko I should say asked me from across the table.

I raised my hands in defensive and tried to shake the question off. “Don’t ask.” I laughed my voice filled with joy as I tried to side step the question. “The teachers hate me.” I added using that as my excuse.

“Is that because you don’t turn in homework? Or because you are never in class?” Yuki grinned as I shot her a glare.

“You better go to class Aya, or I will ground you.” Namiko winked pointing her fork at me as if she were using it as chalk like a teacher would to signal a student out. “No TV for a week.”

I sighed and slumped down into my chair. “I’ve been here for half a hour, and already I am getting grounded.” I sighed which caused the whole table to start laughing. I couldn’t help but laugh along with the rest. It was like we were a family, one big happy family. I glanced around at Yuki and then over at Namiko, and the rest of the table. Could this be my family?

“So is there anyone else that you have told about being a HiME?” Yuki asked around bed time, she had loan me one of her large shirts that she had worn to bed and much to my discomfort, was brushing out my hair in front of a large mirror in her room, as we sat on her bed.

“I told my brother when it first happened.” I sighed and turned my head slightly so that she could begin to comb that side. “He freaked a bit, told me that one of these days he would make a lot of money off of me, selling me for research.”

“Is that why you never told me about it?” She questioned me as she finished combing and reached for the light. I got off her bed and laid down on the pallet that her mom had given me to sleep on. “I mean, is it okay if I tell my mom?”

I thought long and hard about that question as we laid there in darkness, the only light coming in from the window to softly illuminate the room. “She may think of you differently afterwards, things may never be the same.” I warned.

Yuki didn’t respond, instead she seemed to shift around in bed before going completely still. Hours seemed to pass, and neither of us slept. The light from the electric clock on her desk read two a.m. when Yuki finally spoke up again. “Aya, are you awake?” Yuki asked carefully, just incase I was truly asleep.

“Yeah..” I whispered, my voice filled with exhaustion and anger at my inability to go to sleep. “What is it Yuki?”

“Do you ever get scared?” She asked, her voice seemed to be filled with fear. Of course she had every right to be, she had almost died today in that battle, she had every right to be scared.

“All the time..” I whispered, the words flowing out as if I had no control over them. “All the time.” I repeated myself. I closed my eyes feeling the dread and fear rush back from all the HiME battles I had been in, and all the beatings I had taken. Out of nowhere I suddenly felt Yuki’s hand on my shoulder.

I opened my eyes slowly to find her leaning over the bed, a smile across her face and a look of comfort and love in her eyes. I smiled back and rolled to my side before closing my eyes. Exaustion began to overtake me even quicker now as my body began to relax even more thanks to Yuki’s comfort. ‘All the time’ I repeated to myself inside of my head.
