The metal bird fights off her frozen joints to feel a cutting breeze pick up. The Scyther flaps his wings magnificently and blast a cyclone of wind laced with silver powder. It hits Vega but her durable steel frame feels nothing of its power and she retaliates by takes to the sky and spiting hot venom onto Scyther face. The poison easily enters his body but the mantis suddenly glows with swirling silver luminance…the side effect of his attack which boosts all his ability to there max!

Now with new found strength coursing through him, Scyther roars and lunges at to Skamory with hardened wings but on contact, metal bounces off of metal, leaving him slightly embarrassed. Vega smirks and twists her beak like a drill bit and gores Scyther in his left shoulder.

Agonizing over his injury the bug ninja concentrate just enough to repair his damaged shield but it doesn’t protect him from the barrage of stone which strike him repeatedly. Vega flaps her massive wings, sending a dust storm of great size to spin around the arena and catches the debris to use as weapons, much to Scythers displeasure…

All right, Vega, lets use this Sandstorm to our advantage. First fly up into the storm -- with your metal body you should be fine, and Scyther won't be able to pursue easily, and use Taunt on Scyther -- not too big of a one. We don't want him to go into a rage, just make it so he won't be wanting to use anything but attacking moves anytime soon. After you've finished with Taunt, get away from where you were so he won't be able to easily track you. Next send a barrage of Swifts Scyther's way and send them out wide, so they'll come from a few directions, so Scyther won't know which way is which; however, if Scyther has used Swift once, and you think he might use it again right afterward use Torment.


If your feel your wings beginning to become paralyzed, land and use your attack.

The monumental dust devil cloak bought opponents and gives Vega a slight advantage with her armor. She flaps to get some altitude but her body spasms irrational and she falls to the ground in a frozen mess. With her mouth in lockjaw she can’t Taunt anyone in anyway, which is perfectly fine for Scyther. He raises a claw and prays to the Sun God to erases this storm and from his body and sphere of flames shots up and explodes into a massive false sun. The sand storm dissipates as the heat rises to quell it.

Vega snaps from her paralysis and continues with her attack pattern, spraying a barrage of shuriken which pepper the mantis good, hitting his shoulder hard. Despite the pain, with the help of the new sun Scyther calls to the Sun God again this time for healing and doing so his gory shoulder wound heals up good as new. He sneers and drops into a fighter’s stance.

Feeling slightly better Scyther charges Vega, glowing with sparking orange light. Skarmory stands her ground and sprays another Swift volley which hit Scyther but also increase his incoming attack. She rears his scythe and back hands Vega, delivering a good amount of his damage back in a Reversal!

Alright Scyther lets get ourselves back into this.
Use Morning Sun again and then go into a Swords Dance unless you have been Taunted again. If you have use Fury Cutter. End with another Fury Cutter. If that Swords Dance worked your stats should now be through the roof.

With so little energy left, he shouldn't be able to last too long without fainting for a action or two like Serafina, so lets take advantage of that.

First, stay on the ground to help ward off your paralysis and Taunt him. That should get him moving towards you, and will hopefully use up that last bit of energy. He should probably collapse, so fly over to him (he should be pretty close) and land a couple Drill Pecks on his body. Stay on the ground while using those moves so you won't be as likely to suffer from paralysis. If he wakes up this round and hits you with Fury Cutter, don't wory about it over much, it never starts out strong.

Scyther beckons to the sun again for its healing ability but jeering taunts fill his head. Vega flaps her wings in a “Bring it!” fashion and the Mantis loses all his will to use strategy and simple rushes with a wild slash again Vega’s neck! The blow hurts but leaves her no worst for wear.

Becoming increasingly tired, Scyther lowers to the ground and prays for strength and will for this battle. From the ground beneath him, 5 ghostly swords rise up and circle him with great speed only to suddenly stop and stab themselves into him, infusing him with great power! Vega mean while has her beak at full power and charges forth to peck Scyther in the chest.

The last of Scythers energy drains away and he collapses from exhaust, any easy target for any predator but the steel bird cannot follow through as her muscles lock up a 3rd time.

All right, Vega, lets take advantage of Scyther's exhaustion. It'll probably take him an action or two at least to gain back a little energy. Get as close to him as you can, and preform a Drill Peck + Fury Attack combo, which will let you get perhaps a few more rapid hits in, and give the Scyther little time (if any) to retaliate. Aim for the head, as you might be able to keep him in that rather... knocked out status from those moves themselves. If you can, use another Drill Peck on him.

However, if you notice him coming to, you may break your physical assault, as we don't want him countering it. Feel free to substitute an Air Cutter in when he begins to wake up, or a Protect in case of Reversal.

What can a pooped out Mantis do I ask you? Pretty much diddly squat. Scyther heaves haggard breaths as he is a victim of a deathly assault by Vega. She stands over him, beak buzzing with malice, and she darts toward his face and chest, stabbing home in the insect’s neck, chest, and shoulders. Scyther can only cry out in pain and take the beating.

Vega continues on, this time with her beak focus on one spot, rather than multiple. She stabs herdrilling into Scythers breast with extra force and knocks him to the ground to slide to a halt, motionless. His body quiver as he gives it his all to stand, but his other enemy who has been working in the background, Toxic, saps the rest of his life and he falls to his face, motionless…

Well, Vega, it looks like we get to face off against the blubbery tank. Lets see if we can get him on more friendly terms with you, so Attract him. Hopefully, that should stop the fire attack in its tracks. Next, I want you to Relax and since you're not attacking him, hopefully he'll stay attracted while you gain back energy. Hopefully that'll help relax the muscles and help them from not being paralyzed so easily. Next, if your muscles can handle it, Sky Attack . Hopefully Snorlax'll be entranced by you as a fiery Phoenix-like incarnate, and won't know what's happening until you hit him. ^_^

If the attract fails, fly over to the Snorlax and land on his head, hang on, and Drill Peck him repeatedly for the rest of the turn. Even if Shockwave comes, some of that electricity might surge into him, as you'd be hanging on to the guy. Hopefully.

UC humbly returns his mantis with pride and send forth his final pokemon. A favorite of his as this ref has noticed in past battles, he appears hulking over the Skarmory in height and width. A Snorlax is a force to be reckoned with and a sign that the kid gloves are off! Vega jumps into her plan and frills her metal plumage to become more appealing to a giant narcoleptic bear but her muscles spasm and she freezes like a statue. Damn you paralysis! Snorlax raises a eyebrow at the odd figure in front of him and continues with his attack, using the last of the great fire ball in the sky to create a enormous Fire Kanji that plows Vega mercilessly into the Cliffside.

Vega body glows red hot from the attack but she pulls herself up and takes to the sky, diving for Snorlax’s head. Her drill beak is primed to strike but this bulky normal type isn’t having it! Inhaling, making his body puff like a balloon, the bear blasts a freezing torrent of wind that catches Vega’s wings. Her trajectory is thrown way off and she merely grazes his left arm with her attack.

Vega swoops up and comes back around for an another go at Snorlax but he is just full of surprises today. A sparking bolt of orange electrics erupts from his body in a perfect arrow shape and homes in on the bird. Vega cannot dodge in anyway and is blasted with 10,000 volts which activates her status aliment and drops her roughly. Snorlax smiles and chuckles under his breathe.

Our favorite metal fowl cringes as she stands up, skin on fire. Snorlax breaths a hot smoke from his lips as he prepares another pyretic assault to finish off Vega. He spews a lashing tongue of heat but the Skarmory answers back with a glowing beam from her beak. The two attacks barely pass each other and ram their appropriate target, one seriously scalding, and the other leaving distasteful poison.

With nothing left to give, Vega plants her self on the dust soil and recuperate, which gives Snorlax an optimal chance to relieve his status affliction. Sighing deeply, a calming liquid light surrounds him, purging his every pore and simply dripping away like rain, colored a sickening violet for the type of aliment.

Vega still doesn’t have the energy to get off a proper attack and the sleeping giant is already on the move. His huge heaving steps shake the ground and he throws his flaming punch, checking Vega in her jaw and throwing her like a rag doll across the field…she does not rise…

All right, Pollux, lets not get drowsy on our first battle. As yawn is rather vision induced, close your eyes and turn your back to him before he can even start to Yawn. We're going to tighten your focus and improve your concentration so that even if you get drowsy, it will hopefully wear off, as, as everyone knows, movement is one of the best ways to thwart drowziness, so Swords Dance to increase your attack power and make you more alert for battle. Keep your eyes closed and just spin in place in your safe area. The Snorlax shouldn't be doing anything but yawning.

For the next round, open your eyes, and prepare yourself to Counter the focus punch and send it right back at him! That should cause some hurt. Lets make him learn his lesson the hard way and Counter his last move.

With a heavy heart, Saffire recalls Vega and sends forth her final pokemon to end this duel. As the ruby light fades from his frame, striking blue eyes are the first thing noticed by the ref. A sleek, muscled body with a Scythe like horn protruding from his head, this Absol is of the “Shiny” variant of his species. Snorlax huffs at the new opponent, trying to intimidate him, but Pollux’s clear eyes never wavier. Right away Snorlax lets out a groggy yawn and a greenish gas flows from his mouth but the Shiny type snarls and roars to the sky. Beneath him multiple ghostly swords break the ground and circle Pollux, blowing the gas away and infusing him with increased strength as they stab him.

The bear’s eye starts to twitch in frustration and he holds his fist back, gathering chi/chakra to that spot. Pollux waits patiently, glowing over with a deeper crimson than his own coat, to give snorlax a chance to reach maximum power. He finishes up and launches a heavy punch which strike Pollux in the face who staggers from the blow and strikes back with his Counter, covering Snorlax in the same aura and throwing him away with twice the force!

The echoing crash Snorlax make as he lands fills this arena, but he rises again and grabs for the Absol. With all his might he throws the hound against the Cliffside and dents it hard, but Pollux rises again, a dark smile on his lips. He Counters again, and fling Snorlax against the other Cliffside imbeds him into the wall. Good start to the final I’ll say…

All right, Pollux, lets keep our distance from the bear now. If you manage to keep some space between you, his fighting attacks will be less dangerous and harder to pull off, as he ain't exactly a marathon runner. You've embedded him into the wall nicely, lets keep him there, or rather, make it difficult for him to get out.

It seems from the description, the cliffside soil is rather loose, so lets loosen it up even more. Use Rock Slide on the wall just above the Snorlax, and make all of that soil come down. Hopefully with you distancing yourself and Snorlax not being the fastest Pokemon in the book, you'll be able to bring it down on him. All that soil would be hard to move, plus as you're aiming the rocks on the cliff side, and causing indirect damage, I don't think it'll be counterable.

Next, we're going for a combo here. First, Water Pulse the big lump who is hopefully under the soil, and follow up by a Blizzard to freeze him (and hopefully the ground on and around him) as much as possible.

Right then Snorlax. If its aiming at the Cliffside then let it. Once the rocks are falling use Psychic to hold up the falling rubble and throw it in Absol's direction. We can hopefully bury them like they wanted to do to you and Since your not directly attacking with Psychic, it isnt immune.
Next up use a Double Team to get yourself free and hopefully dodge the Water Pulse, finishing with a Fire Blast to counter the Blizzard.

Pollux snarls at his opponent and begins gathering energy to his paws. With one great smash to the earth, a rippling quake of energy zigzags toward the Snorlax and dives under him to enter the cliff. A massive explosive occurs and a mountain of rubble from above falls, and as it drops to deal it massive damage Snorlax clenches his eyes and concentrates hard. Although he is far from an Alakazam, the psychic field he creates stops the main boulders from harming him, and with all his will he toss them at Pollux and damages him with a few before he tires.

With his set up going awry, the dark type continues on opening his mouth and forming a liquid blue orb to full size. Snorlax catches his breath and quickly does a volley of hand seals and ends by flashing white and creating Genjutsu clones to protect his whereabouts, 4 to be exact. The Water Pulse is launched but much to his dismay, it strike a clone who disappears in a puff of smoke on contact.

The sleepy giant as countered all of Pollux’s attack and readies a final assault just as said shiny power up and attack as well. The 2 raging elements, Fire and Ice, explode in there most powerful forms and connect in a brilliant splash of color and light. As logic will tell you however, Fire melts Ice and the Fire Blast quickly over takes the Blizzard to greatly injure Pollux in hellish heat.

All righty, Pollux, with Snorlax where he is, and his clones besides him, he shouldn't be going anywhere. While he's Psyching up, use Rock Slide to once again bring down all those boulders and rocks from the top of that cliff, and make them rain down upon Snorlax and his clones, hopefully burying the real one. Might even disturb his "psyching up" process if we're lucky.

Then, get away from the cliffside, the Snorlax might not be able to get up and use Earthquake under all of that rubble. However, if you feel the ground start to shake from Earthquake, hunker down and use Mimic to copy and use Earthquake for yourself - with any luck, it might bring more rocks down on the Snorlax from the cliffside - which is why I ordered you to move away from the cliff. However, if for some reason the Snorlax can't move, send a Blizzard his way.

Next, use Faint Attack to disappear and dodge the Secret Power, and hit the Snorlax with it once the beam jets off.

The four remaining Snorlax’s mimic each other perfectly to leave Pollux confused of the real one, but an idea pops into his mind, “Kill 4 birds with many stones”. Once again the Absol strikes the ground and send his earth shattering Rock attack at Snorlax, who has now busied himself with duplicating the heightened attack of Pollux. He creates a link with him and just as he starts pulling the power to him an explosion breaks his concentration and rubble falls, destroying his clones and covers him in slag.

Finally having a lucky break Pollux utilizes it by gathering frigidity power to his mouth and taking careful aim. He fires his Blizzard and smashes a few boulders as it drives for Snorlax but a heavy shaking causes Pollux to lose his footing and veer the attack off. Despite being buried, Snorlax flops on his stomach, shaking the ground and freeing himself from his prison.

A deep chill annoys the giant just as the shiny’s burn bothers him. On even ground he rips forth a bright energy wave, tinged a light blue but Pollux is prepared, fading from sight completely invisible to the naked eye. The Secret Power hit nothing but earth and Snorlax is at a lost of where is opponent is, but he soon learns quickly as he is slashed upon his back by the sneaky canine…

Okay, Pollux.. it looks like this'll likely be the last round for either of us. Let's make it count.

Keep your distance from Snorlax, so that any physical contact attacks will have a hard time getting into motion. Start off with a Secret Power - aim for the Snorlax's eyes if you can. As its energy rather than a physical thing.. I don't think its counterable, so you should be all right. (If you go by ASB def. anyway.) Next, make yourself a moving target, and send off a Shockwave . If you feel the ground shaking via Earthquake jump and use Shockwave - the attack will find Snorlax on its own.

Keep up with the moving target thing, and Shockwave again.

Just for future notice, if the Snorlax decides to try and come after you with a physical contact move (as in, he has to get up and chase after you to use it) or decides to lug rocks at you just stop where you are and Counter t hem.

As this round commences, Snorlax ignores his shiny opponent as ordered by his master. Looking to the sky, the sleepy giant concentrates and opens his out to releases a ball of flames into the sky. Holding a paw in the air he clenches it shut and causes the sphere to explode and triple in size, much to his delight. The increase in heat bothers Pollux but he adjusts to the change and launches a shimmering beam the color of violet. Snorlax never sees it coming and is instantly blindsided by poison.

His health depleting rapidly now, Snorlax knows his next assaults have to hit home. Pollux arms himself and strikes first with a perfect straight bolt of orange lightening and blast Snorlax who waivers to one knee. He looks up with growling content at Pollux and answers his attack with an instant charge Solarbeam which tears apart the ground with its increased power from Sunny Day. The impact of the Grass technique propels Pollux like a leaf caught in the wind and slams him into the wall.

Now on there last bits of energy the canine and bear rise, heaving with fatigue, and ready a final technique. Snorlax inhale deeply, gathering a sweltering heat in his maw and takes pride in its massive size while Pollux charges for another Shockwave, this one weaker than before. For a full 3 seconds, they simply stares at each other, attack reaching there breaking point and with knowing nods a monstrous kanji of flames turns the ground to burn ash just as a slender speedy dart of electricity tracks its prey. Both attacks collide and a power struggle ensues, but with the boost of the faux sun, the Fire Blast quickly over powers the Shockwave and collides with Pollux. All he sees and feels is Red…As the fire show dies off the Absol lays on his side, blacken all over, not moving while Snorlax falls to his knees, clutching his chest as the poison takes his life away and plants his face down into the ground…I raise my flags and state to the two fighters “Both pokemon are unable to battle…Double Knock Out...

Great fight Sapphire. To say your relatively new you gave me a good slapping. Hell till Lax evened things up i thought ud won it by the second round.
Also i just checked in the Rules tower. for a 3v3 tie, the ref gets 6 and the Battlers get 4 points each.
