Pudge, now is one of the better openings we'll ever have.
Begin by dining on Atlas's fantasies with a Dream Eater. If he's still asleep afterwards, do it again; if he's awoken by then, blast him with a Secret Power for having the gall to wake up. Either way, get back and knock him about with an Aerial Ace for the last action.

Pudge smirked as the Machop dozed on. As long as Sleep Talk didn’t pick a Fighting-attack, he should be safe for the moment. Pudge used some of the innate psychic abilities within him to channel some of Atlas’s healthy thoughts and dreams into his own body. The Machop cringed and writhed in his troubled sleep as he took a mighty chunk of damage. But he suddenly settled down and murmured something. Then he got up and gave the Meowth a punch in the stomach. This happened to be Smellingsalt, and it was a good thing Pudge wasn’t paralyzed, or else it would have dealt even more damage.
Pudge wasn’t worried about that last attack. He regained some of his health back by feasting some more on his opponent’s dreams. Atlas was still asleep, which meant the randomness of Sleep Talk continued. His mouth glowed orange as he launched a Fire Blast. Pudge wasn’t expecting a fire attack and took some nasty burns as the flames collided into him.
His whiskers fried, the Meowth launched another Aerial Ace at Atlas. The slashing of the Flying move finally woke Atlas up with a start. Remembering his last command, the Machop went over and gave Pudge a hard thrust which his arms, knocking him back while dealing some painful damage.

Okay, Atlas, it seems the Sleep Talk turned out to our advantage. Now let's go.
Charge into Pudge with a Body Slam.
Follow up with a Seismic Toss.
Then use a Dynamicpunch.
If he puts you to sleep again, use Sleep Talk until you wake up.
Pudge, we could have done better... but we nearly hit the Damage Cap as is, so let's go for it.
That Body Slam isn't much to be feared, so spit a Secret Power at Atlas's gut when he charges in to deliver it. Spray him down with Payday when he tries to throw you, and Endure the Dynamicpunch.

Neither combatant had time to nurse their bruises and injuries. Atlas ran a couple of steps toward the Meowth before jumping into the air. Pudge fired another Secret Power at him, which almost blasted the Machop away, but not quite. Atlas was knocked off balance, and landed with his shoulder on the Meowth’s gut.
Getting out of that awkward position, Atlas grabbed Pudge by the tail and swung him around and around before releasing him into the air. In midair, Pudge turned to face the Machop and pelted golden coins at him. Free money was nice, but getting hit by them wasn’t. Pudge landed on the floor with a thud, once more dangerously close to the trees.
He ran a couple of feet back to where he used to be, but then saw the Machop charging towards him. He stopped, crossed his arms in front of him, and braced himself. Atlas stopped too, but only to prepare for his next attack. His fist glowed green as he brought it forward for a Dynamicpunch. There was a loud sound, but Pudge only moved back a few inches. However, when he was done enduring the attack, he wobbled in confusion.

Pudge panted heavily as he was on his last legs now. His last attack for this battle was another Aerial Ace, which took a chunk out of Atlas’s health. Out came a menacing Shiftry to face the Abra. A Dark type would have the advantage against a Psychic, but Abra can use its speed and versatility to its advantage.
Roulette was brave in the face of this sinister-looking creature and gave him a few harsh insults. But he was disappointed when Oak seemed to vanish into thin air. Oak was angry, of course, but he could let his anger out if he keeps hitting the Abra. Roulette got a quick, but heavy blow on his backside from Oak’s leafy hand.
Their next moves were a direct face-off. Roulette’s fist erupted into flames and Oak brought his hands forward for a fighting move. The two attacks struck each other at the same time and both Pokémon were knocked away by the force of the impact. Oak’s hands seared in pain as the flames burnt them black. The Abra didn’t suffer too much damage as the fire energy in his fist partially deflected the blow.
Roulette looked like a karate fighter as he prepared for his final move this round. But before he could make his move, Oak stomped on the ground and out popped four jagged rocks to trap the psychic in place.

Change tactics if he turns the sun to rain. If he does, substitute Solarbeam with Shadow Ball.
Okay, Roulette, we're going to play a game I call "Pop-Up Surprise".
First, relax while you're in the Rock Tomb - let him make it sunny (the trees could use more sun, anyway). Then, once the Shiftry goes for a Rock Smash, Teleport directly behind him. After that, do your best DBZ impression and Mega Punch him into the floor.
If we screw up the timing on the Teleport and he launces a Solarbeam on the second action, Protect yourself.

Despite the rocks pressing uncomfortably into his joints, Roulette didn’t really mind his current position. He relaxed as Oak released a beam of fire energy into the heavens, making the arena Sunny Day.
Looking around and seeing how there was no Abra in sight, Oak could only surmise that he was still trapped in those rocks. Grinning, he rushed over and give the rock pile a heavy handed blow. It stung a bit as his hands were still burnt and the sun wasn’t helping. But when the rocks crumbled away, the Abra wasn’t there! He turned around and…there was Roulette.
The psychic gave the Shiftry a taste of his own physical attack. A powerful punch swung into Oak’s chest, which knocked him over onto the pile of crumbled rocks. Oak became pretty angry after this and fired a large beam of solar energy, which did significant damage to his opponent.

Roulette was about to ready a fist full of flames, but suddenly, Oak had rushed towards him with lightning fast speed. The Abra was startled as Oak slammed into him, then rushed back to his starting place.
The psychic-type got back up. Well, the last attack didn’t work. Seeing his opponent charge up some energy, he knew what to do. The Abra disappeared in a flash and reappeared behind the unsuspecting Shiftry. Or so he thought. Oak quick turned around, with an orb of orange energy in front of him. The orb turned into a large beam, crackling through the arena as it slammed into the Abra and knocked him into a wall. Roulette slumped down, his entire body in pain.
Oak sat down too, panting a bit. Roulette was definitely angry and used this opportunity to lift the Shiftry, spin him around rapidly, and fling him into the air. Oak landed several yards away, hitting the ground with a thud.

Oak used his Dark type stealth to go into a Faint Attack. Roulette said no to this supereffective move by forming an impenetrable shield in front of him. The Shiftry reappeared as he slammed into the shield, to no avail.
He tried to use another evasive move – creating five identical Shiftrys with his Double Team technique and surrounded the Abra. Roulette was well prepared for this. He launched a burst of electricity in every direction. The sparks rippled outwards and hit every Shiftry on the field, including the real one.
Abras weren’t good at showing emotion, but Oak just knew his opponent was smirking with satisfaction. He decided to regain some health back with a Giga Drain. While he did manage to suck some health away, Roulette was preparing a grand finale to this round. Oak’s head was met with a powerful burst of Fighting energy – a Dynamicpunch! The Shiftry didn’t get a concussion, but he did receive temporary confusion.

Roulette liked how the last round turned out, so he quickly set up another shield. This time, the barrier glowed bright yellow as it served to ward off all energy based attacks. Oak wobbly awkwardly towards it, the confusion severely impacting his ability to battle. He thrust both arms forward and smashed the screen to pieces, but hit it at such an angle that it missed the Abra.
No matter, Roulette readied another fist full of flames. A Protect shield required a lot of concentration, and unfortunately, Oak’s disoriented mind could not focus on this move. The Fire Punch impacted against his body, leaving a large scorch mark on Oak’s forehead.
That hit to the head seemed to clear the Shiftry of his confusion. Next, the Abra grabbed one of his arms. But Oak quickly swung his foot forehead and delivered a powerful kick into the Abra’s gut, sending him flying right into the grove of hostile trees. As if mimicking their Pokemon “cousin”, one of the trees kicked Roulette back onto the field for minor damage.

Oak went on the evasive by creating several copies of himself. The Abra was not bothered by this at all. He simply fired off a jolt of electricity that zipped around the arena until it found the real Shiftry and gave it quite a shock.
Well, that certainly didn’t work for Oak. He tried setting up for his final attack this round. A beam of fire energy was released into the atmosphere. But at the same time, Roulette launched water energy into the sky as well. There was a small burst of light, and some clouds rolled in, but after that, nothing happened. The two weather moves had hit each other and cancelled each other out.
Oak grumbled. That’s another plan that the Abra messed up. Oh well, at least it wasn’t raining. The Shiftry charged up some solar energy, although it took a while due to the overcast weather. Meanwhile, Roulette had plenty of time to go over and hit the Shiftry squarely in the jaw with a Dynamic Punch. The Shiftry fell backwards just as he fired the beam. It went over Roulette’s head and missed it by just a couple of inches.

Roulette, we need to be careful - this is a very serious situation, since both of us are in the danger zone. But we can bring down Oak this turn if we play it right (and if he doesn't try to blow up).
Begin with a Fire Punch. If Oak guards against it with Protect or another move, Seismic Toss him on the rebound; if he takes it, drop him with a Mega Kick. If he's still standing on the last move, flatten him with an Iron Tail.
If at any point he tries to force a draw by blowing up, Protect yourself.

Well, since he's prepared for Explosion, we can't do that. Maybe next time, Oak, I promise.
Start with Fake Out.
Then meet his Mega Kick with Brick Break.
Then, fire off a Shadow Ball if you can.

Both Pokémon were feeling hurt but neither wanted to be the first to go down. The disoriented Shiftry still managed to rush over and smacked the Abra with a Fake Out. But Roulette had seen this trick before only a few rounds earlier. It wasn’t going to work twice and he countered with a powerful Fire Punch that brought Oak down to a critical level.
Seeing how his Fire Punch worked so well, the psychic brought one glowing foot forward for a fierce Mega Kick. It hit the Shiftry squarely in the gut and the Grass/Dark Pokémon groaned, paused for a second, then slumped forward.

Oak, return!
Oak transforms into energy and retreats into his pokeball.
I choose Kandy, my female Spheal! I choose you! Go!
Kandy, first stun him with Mud-Slap.
Then hit him with Iron Tail.
Then, use Earthquake!

My ASB A-Team: Qwerty (Magneton), Cici (female Shuckle), Pudge (male Persian), Fuji (male Torkoal), Light (Starmie), Matthias (male Flygon) (six others)
