SAW 5 or HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 3?

For one I actually know a few who would see both (mostly girls, though). But that's not the point really, it's just that every year Saw has always been number 1 in the Box Office, and now because of HSM, it won't be, they could have easily released it a week later, but also the fact that the theater is probably gonna be crowded because of HSM.

HSM is probably gonna beat Saw not on the basis of it taking away viewers, they still have their respective audiences as well as a handful for both, as funny as that may seem. It's just, Saw V has a limited audience because of the 18+ thing, whereas anyone can go see HSM3.

I mean, it still has a chance of winning that #1 spot, unlikely though.

This movie was fucking awesome. If you're a fan of the franchise, and hated part 4, SEE THIS, it makes 4 look like a joke.

The only issue I had was that you have to have seen all of them for it to make sense. I was shocked at some of the stuff from past movies they went out of their way to allude to, but thankfully answered a lot of questions. Not exactly the most demanded ones, but some. There were a LOT of past flashbacks, more than in any other Saw movie, but I'd say it balanced well.

Also... the twists were really clever, though unfortunately, without spoiling anything, don't expect anything groundbreaking. Kind of like in Saw III, it was more about the surprise of what HAPPENS rather than the twist. "You Won't Believe How It Ends"... meh, going out of the way for a tagline like that, I guess that works if they're talking about what happens rather than some secret truth revealed. The twists mainly pertained to the film itself rather than the whole series.

AMAZING character development, no lifeless boring shit that was 4. Also the main storyline is kind of like Saw II but better.

I think they should have kept HSM on the Disney Channel and left well enough alone. But they have to milk the cash cow someway.

And for Saw V--personally I don't do horror movies for the reason that I get scared you-know-what-less when I see one, then sleep? Forget it.
(My friend came over and brought along Jeepers Creepers for us to watch. Didn't sleep good for the next couple of nights)

They planned for it to go up to VI and end it there since around when IV came out.

Well you know, it could happen! I remember hearing that PoTC 3 was the last one, but nope!!! They're making a 4th one. So don't count on that being the last one...haha.

Yeah, they never said officially Saw was gonna end at VI either, they just said that's what they have planned for now, it may change.

Actually they officially said they are going to keep making Saw's as long as they are profitable. And seeing how next to dirt cheap to make as far as hollywood films go that could be a while.

Well, whatever, I don't care either way. VI's an ideal place so end it, and I'm sure they think that, but if fans demand otherwise or VI does well then they could continue, assuming they're profitable, I'm sure people wouldn't care. It's a win-win situation whatever they decide to do.

Friday night grosses are in. High School Musical made just shy of 17 million and Saw pulled in 14 million. About the same as Saw IV so it looks like the franchise isn't losing any momentum despite having competition at the box office this year even if it is from differing genres.

Man, Saw V or HSM3, tough choice. Both just sound so... hmm, yeah diseased spork all the way. That would at least have the side effect of sparing me the sight of High School Musical 4: We All Flunked Because We Sang During Finals.

seriously? not all kids go watch saw, they need to watch something too! I doubt it even has the same kind of audience...but I'm sure since HSM is almost as bad as hannah montana, its probably going to do pretty good in the box office. I'm not so sure about saw.
