Rossy releases his second Pokémon into the mostly-silent hall. Out of the ball pops Yanyanma, Rossy's female Yanma. She looks around, focusing on Goku, the Monferno she's here to battle.

Yanyanma wastes no time in dawdling and launches off some hypnotic waves at Goku. The fire monkey starts getting drowsy, but manages to slap himself awake and not fall victim. To counter, Goku starts yelling at the bug, including saying some rather insulting things about her weight. Yanyanma can't take the insults and starts seeing red.

Goku, happy with his Taunting, goes to do his next command. Unfortunately, It seems that there were no rocks to be found anywhere! Annoyed at being told to attack with nothing, he flails out and smacks Yanyanma. This just added to her fury from his last attack. She's so infuriated she completely ignores the fact that Goku being awake means she should try sleeping him again. Instead she pulls out the other move she heard, and starts to charge her wings with energy. She charges towards Goku, but lets the energy roll off of her wing as she passes by, nailing Goku.

Yanyanma continues to fly quickly as she charges her wings again. She hurtles back and launches the energy again, just as Goku was starting to stand up. Now Goku is really mad, and goes to do his last move. But once again it seems he has no rocks with which to even attack! He's so mad now that he can't help but flail once more at the flying bug.

Goku starts off with a clear head, soon having three heads as he splits two clones off. Yanyanma's a bit disoriented, but continues with her attack. Focusing, she fires off some hypnotic waves at one of the Monferno. Unfortunately, the waves don't seem to be affecting it, proving that it must be a clone.

Suddenly the three Gokus take a breath in and release a stream of fire. Only one of them is real, and it hurts Yan a lot. Yan recovers from the flames, then charges her wings with energy before aiming at a Monferno. She flies right through it and dissipates it, but there's another one right behind and Yan keeps flying through, this time actually hitting Goku. It wasn't as powerful as it could have been, but for Yan a hit's a hit.

Pumping up her wings again and letting them guide her to the right Monferno, Yan curves around and smacks the real Goku back. But Goku gets up from the tumble and launches another stream of fire at Yan, hurting her even more. Yan is thankful when the flames stop, and now the Pokémon are staring each other down, one Yanma against two Monferno.

Yanma quickly takes to her trainer's order and creates three other Yanma clones to throw off Goku. Goku was busy charging his fire with flames and looks up to see four Yanma. He's unsure which one is real, so he hurls himself foot-first at the closest one and is annoyed when it turns out to only be a clone.

Yanyanma takes Goku's disorientation as a chance and powers her wings up with energy again. She has the perfect opportunity as she hurtles towards the close-together pair of Monferno. She braces for impact on the first, but sails right through. Her momentum decreased a bit, but still managed to hit Goku with a fair amount of power. Goku is now really annoyed and starts running at the group of Yanma. He curls up into a ball and starts rolling, ramming through one clone before hitting the real Yanyanma.

Yanyanma keeps her wings charged as she follows Goku, slashing through him again, but his spinning diminished the attack a little bit. Goku turned and started charging towards the two Yanma left, once again dispersing the clone before hitting Yanyanma.

Yan starts off with creating a large swirling gust of wind that she launches at the rolling monkey. Goku, expecting it, attempts to ride it up to launch a harder blow. Unfortunately, there were a few pockets of air he didn't notice until it was too late, and he ended up getting knocked to the side. He was unhurt, but he had stopped rolling. Irritated, he started rolling again, knocking into Yan before she could react.

Yan recovered and charged her wings with energy, then flew after the monkey to launch the energy at him. Goku takes the hit, partially deflected from his spinning, and continues back for another roll. Yan gets knocked back with more power, but gets situated again.

Just in time for Goku to pull a sharp u-turn to knock into Yan once more. Yan feels the hit harder, but manages to focus and follow the rolling monkey. She opens her mouth and lets loose a horrible Screech at Goku. Goku tries to block it with his spin, but the sound penetrates and shakes him to his core, lowering his defenses again.

Yan starts by sending out a bunch of Supersonic waves towards Goku. Unfortunately, she misjudged where Goku was going to be and the waves simply fly off and dissipate on the walls. Goku decides to stop spinning and simply relax for a bit, regaining the energy he needs to continue.

He continues relaxing even as Yan charges up for her next attack. Yan's wings glow again, and she rams them into Goku hard. Goku goes reeling, the attack hitting him harder than he was expecting.

And again, as Yan simply turns around and wails on Goku with her wings once more. Goku is now in considerable pain, but he still manages to simply relax his body and regain some more energy.

Goku readies himself for a fiery charge, but before he can realize what's happening Yan suddenly speeds up. He can't even react as Yan suddenly appears next to him, running into him with a seemingly light hit. Unfortunately, he had too much of his defenses lowered in the past and it strikes him hard.

Goku collapses to the ground, unable to move any further. Mike recalls his fallen monkey, and now has to decide which Pokémon will be his last battler.

Kue quickly moves to live up to his trainer's hopes. He quickly charges a metallic sphere of energy, launching it at Yan before she can react. She gets knocked around, but quickly steadies herself before concentrating on her own move. Suddenly a high pitched noise streaked towards Kue. Nibly Kue dodged, leaving Yan a little annoyed.

Without letting Kue get another move in, Yan quickly dives towards him and slashes with her wings. There's a slight flash as her wings collide and Kue suddenly held his head in shock. He seemed to be reeling from that last attack, unable to move himself. At least his steel element helped keep the damage low.

Recovering, Kue watches as Yan comes in for another attack. Charging his fist with cold energy, he brings his fist around quickly to connect with Yan before she can hit with her wings. Chilled, but still energetic, Yan reorients herself and charges again, this time connecting with Kue.

Kue doesn't like the sound of being confused, and rushes towards Yan with a flaming foot. He connects, causing Yan to screech in pain. Except it's not a screech of pain, but rather a Supersonic screech, and Kue is unable to avoid the painful noise that sends him into a fit of confusion.

Still in pain, but better for confusing Kue, Yan lets out a different kind of Screech, but she's distracted from the previous attack and the sound merely grazes by Kue without affecting him. Kue is ready to finish this, and charges his fists with energy, one icy and the other electric. He charges towards Yan in the wake of her Screech and hits her with both fists simultaneously. Yan gets knocked backwards and falls down from the sheer power of the attack.

Yan stays grounded, unable to battle further. Rossy recalls his fallen combatant and now must decide on which Pokémon will be his last.

Kue starts out by trying to make sense of his surroundings. As he steadies himself, he slams his fists on the ground, causing it to shake violently. Bakphoon gets thrown about by the shaking ground, taking considerable damage. The ground finally settles and Bakphoon goes to trap Kue in a ring of fire. If only he actually knew the attack that he was trying to use!

Deciding it's a waste of time trying to figure it out, he instead goes to make the sun burn brighter. But being inside, there's no access to the sun, therefore no way to intensify it. He's distracted enough for Kue to finally make sense of the world. Kue charges his fist with a green aura, then rushes in and hits Bakphoon. As Bakphoon feels the pain, Kue feels relief as the health drained heals him.

Now irritated, Bakphoon goes down on all fours, his body heating up considerably. The plume on his back starts spewing out fire, raining it down on Kue. Now in sudden pain, Kue charges up a blue sphere of energy between his paws. He hurls this sphere of water energy at Bakphoon, making him recoil a bit.

Bakphoon starts out his next round by conjuring up some blue flames, launching them at Kue. Kue focuses as he watches them, then charges a blue sphere of energy, launching it at the flames. The ball of water-type energy washes over the blue flames, diminishing a bit as it extinguishes them. It's still potent, and smacks into Bakphoon.

Bakphoon then takes two of his moves and figures out how to combine them. He charges up his body with a metallic coating, then surrounds himself with a ball of fire. He runs a little bit, then begins rolling. He quickly picks up speed, and Kue barely has time to react. Kue isn't able to stop Bakphoon quickly enough, and he gets hit, but with considerably less damage than what it would have been. Now holding Bakphoon Psychicly, Kue hurls him into the wall. Bakphoon slides down, then stands up.

Unfortunately, he's already spent all of his actions this round, leaving him wide open for Kue's attack. Kue knows this, and he deliberately slams down his fists on the ground, causing it to shake again. It makes Bakphoon fly around from all the tremors, getting hit by the floor jumping up to meet him.

Kue starts by looking at the dirt ground before quickly using his claws to burrow into it. Bakphoon watches him go down and smirks before jumping up and slamming all four paws on the ground. As Kue goes further, the shockwaves going through the ground rattle him a lot, hurling him left and right into the walls he just dug.

The shaking pauses, but then continues as Bakphoon launches another earth-shaking attack on Kue. Kue gets hurled around some more, but some weird invisible barrier suddenly surrounds him, preventing any more damage. As the shaking stops, Kue sits and rests, restoring some energy.

Kue then feels the ground to locate Bakphoon and, finding him, quickly burrows up to greet him with a nice swift attack. Upon breaking through the surface, though, he finds a Protect screen between his hurtling body and Bakphoon. Kue bounces off of it and recovers, standing up a few feet away as Bakphoon's shield dissipates. Kue also feels the invisible damage-cap shield leave his body.
