The battle is momentarily paused again as Metallix's Girl walks over to her fallen Charmander. Recalling Cinnamon back to his Pokeball, she takes out another Pokeball, and opens it up to reveal a female Ralts named Jade, and with that, the battle resumes. Gastly is prepared to lay a nasty Curse on Jade, but just as he is about to poke himself with the ghastly looking needle and put his curse on her, the Ralts vanishes out of his sight courtesy of her Teleport, making Gastly wonder just where she went.

Gastly: -2 Energy, annoyed Curse failed
Jade: -5 Energy

Annoyed that his Curse tactic from before didn't work, Gastly floats over to where Jade is, and once again proceeds to poke himself with the same ghastly needle as before. Once again however, Jade isn't going to let him get away with this, and she uses a Disable on him, causing him to be unable to finish the Curse as he grumbles in frustration at Jade.

Gastly: -2 Energy, frustrated that Jade disabled Curse

Having enough of Jade's thwarting of his plans so far, Gastly fires off a Shadow Ball at Jade, feeling a bit of his frustration drop as the ball of ethereal energy explodes on contact with the Ralts, making her cry in pain. But she retaliates from the spectral assault by using a Psychic on Gastly, making him cry in pain himself as he feels his body de-materializing a little from the supereffective hit.

Sorry about the confusion everyone. :doh: I was a little confused at the attacks myself and I couldn't figure out how I would protect against something that wasn't there and then have it not even happen. I figured either one set of attacks or the other would be used. I'll be more careful from now on.

The round begins with Jade staring deep into Gastly's eyes and going for a Hypnosis on him. Sending off a few of the hypnotic waves of energy at the ghost, Gastly is unable to resist avoiding them, and he falls asleep. But, he remembered knowing what to do just incase he was put to sleep, and he begins relaxing, much to Jade's surprise.

With Gastly asleep, Jade takes a few steps over to him, pulling out an ethereal feeding tube out of nowhere, and she inserts it into Gastly before using a Dream Eater, regaining some lost health while causing quite a bit of damage to Gastly, who despite having this happen, continues to relax in his sleep.

The round begins with Gastly continuing to relax in his sleep. Unaware of what Jade is doing, he sleeps on, allowing Jade to spit out a Toxic all over him...that is, if it would be able to poison him. But being partially a Poison type nullifies the Toxic completely, much to Jade's disappointment.

Gastly hardly felt the harmless Toxic splatter over him as he continued to relax in his sleep. Meanwhile, Jade wasn't too happy that her first status messing attempt had failed, nonetheless, she had another one. Sparking with a small amount of constricting electricity, the Ralts fired off the Thunder Wave at Gastly, causing the sleeping ghost to come down with paralysis.

Gastly, still asleep, tries to relax once more this round, but he suddenly finds himself unable to as the paralysis takes its full hold on him. Jade isn't finished yet though, as she brings forth a Will-o-Wisp, the tiny yet really hot fireballs all connect with Gastly, causing him to get a burn, which makes him feel uncomfortable in his sleep as it drains some health from him.

The round begins as Jade begins to emit an eerie, what flash of light at Gastly. As Gastly continues to sleep and avoid the Confuse Ray as began to illuminate him, he suddenly begins to rise into the air, slowly waking up, but to Jade's surprise, looking right into the last of it once he opened his eyes. Now that he had woken up completely, he tries to make out Jade, and despite his confusion, he is able to send off a Dark Pulse that catches her in the side, causing her to cry out in surprise as the rings of darkness clip her side.

Meanwhile, Jade decides to take a quick breather. Relaxing herself for the moment to regain a little bit of energy, Gastly squeals with joy on seeing her as a sitting duck for his next attack, but unfortunately, confusion gets the better of him as he just floats in place there, wondering what he was supposed to do here.

Feeling a little more energized, Jade continues to relax herself, but Gastly is able to interrupt her this time, as he shoots off another Dark Pulse that manages to hit her head-on, causing her to wince in pain. Gastly's burn also causes him to wince in pain as well.

But with the paralysis and confusion hampering the amount of time it takes for him to use Hypnosis, it takes him a few moments to finally execute his plan, however, Jade is able to quickly set up a Safeguard, which blocks the Hypnosis in the nick of time, much to Gastly's disappointment.

Meanwhile, Jade focuses some psychic power into her forehead, making it glow blue in colour. Lowering it, she runs toward Gastly, hitting him hard with the Zen Headbutt. Gastly tries once again with Hypnosis, but it fails once again to affect Jade, thanks to her Safeguard. This isn't good...

Jade is on the move once again, as she makes her eyes glow red, she uses another Psychic on Gastly, causing him to cry out painfully. The groans soon turn to winces as Gastly is reminded of the pain of his burn once more.

But, Gastly sees this as an open opportunity to blast Jade with a Dark Pulse, and Jade cries out in pain as the rings of darkness hit her full-force. But, at least they didn't stop her concentration.

Shaking off the pain from that Dark Pulse, Jade forms a Shadow Ball in between her hands, and throws the ball of ethereal energy at Gastly, causing him to cry in pain as it explodes upon making contact with him. Once again, he retaliates with another Dark Pulse, making Jade cry out in pain again from the rings of dark energy bombarding her.

Recalling him into his Pokeball, she takes another Pokeball, and opens it up to reveal her final choice for this battle, a male Trapinch. With that, the battle resumes, and Trapinch is on the move right away, opening his mouth and letting dark energy crackle through as he uses a painful Crunch on Jade, causing the Ralts to cry in pain as Trapinch clamps down hard on her and shakes her about. But, she isn't about to allow her defense to let her down, as she sets up a translucent Reflect shield that gives a boost to her Defense, weakening any physical attacks that might come her way in the near future.

Trapinch resumes his crunchy assault on Jade, as he chomps down with his sharp fangs, coursing with dark energy, he shakes her around again while maintaining his tight grip, causing the Ralts to cry out in pain once again. Upon being released from Trapinch's painful grasp, Jade decides to take a much-needed breather.

Changing his tactics, Trapinch goes for an Earth Power on Jade. Drawing in as much ground energy as he can, he concentrates it into a ball, and fires it at Jade, who absorbs it painfully. Jade soon goes back to her relaxing, and she regains a bit more energy...more than she started with earlier in the round, but, she knows she cannot last too much longer here.

The round begins as Jade goes for a Charm on Trapinch. Trying to make herself look as innocent as possible in order to make Trapinch drop his guard and suffer an attack drop, it isn't too long before Trapinch falls for the Charm, feeling his attack power drop. He doesn't stay in this "trance" for long however, as he opens his mouth and delivers a Crunch on Jade, that despite not being as strong as Trapinch would have hoped, still creates some pain for Jade as the dark energy crackles into her.

Despite still feeling the pain from that last Crunch, Jade goes for a Magical Leaf on Trapinch. Sending the small flurry of glowing, homing leaves at Trapinch, the leaves cut into the ant-like Pokemon, causing him to cry out in pain. He retailates however, by making another painful Crunch on Jade.

Switching her tactics, Jade brings up one of her small fists, imbuing it with an icy blue glow before smacking Trapinch with an Ice Punch, making him shiver in pain from that hit. Trapinch retaliates again with another Crunch, this time however, as he sinks his fangs, riddled with dark energy into Jade's skin, some of that dark energy lingers inside the Ralts, making her feel a bit light headed as she feels her Defense drop a little.

The round begins as Trapinch runs toward Jade, his jaws wide open and crackling with dark energy. Upon getting himself close enough to Jade, he goes for the Crunch on Jade, making her reel in pain. Jade, upon being released from Trapinch's painful maw, sees another attack heading Trapinch's way...this catches Trapinch off guard for a moment, until a fast moving ball of brilliant psychic energy slams into Trapinch, making him wonder just what was that thing that just came at him unexpectedly.

Still wondering how on earth such a strong blast of energy was able to strike him so fast, Trapinch goes for a Faint Attack, and temporarily disappears into the world of the shadows, making Jade wonder where he went this time. Her question is soon answered...as Trapinch reappears in a spot out of her line of sight, slamming his shadowy-cloaked head into Jade. Jade isn't liking that surprise hit very much, as she goes for a Grass Knot on Trapinch, making a few small balls of green energy that float down near Trapinch's feet and turn into vines that tightly wrap around his feet, bringing him down face-first onto the ground...ouch.

Slowly getting up after that Grass Knot, Trapinch goes for one more Crunch on Jade. Opening his mouth and letting the dark energy crackle once more in there, he sinks his chompers into Jade, making Jade cry in pain once more. But, the Ralts has a sneaky plan to get Trapinch back with, as she uses a Memento on Trapinch, knocking herself out as the resulting dark energy seeps into Trapinch momentarily, causing his Attack and Special Attack to both harshly drop as a result. Meanwhile, Jade's Safeguard and Reflect both fade as she falls over.

The battle is momentarily paused for the final time here as Metallix's Girl goes over to the fallen Jade. Returning her Ralts back to her Pokeball, she takes out a final Pokeball for this battle, and opens it up to reveal a shiny female Budew she appropriately named Violet. With that, the battle resumes, and Violet starts off by using a Growth, to boost her Special Attack power as she absorbs some energy from the sun overhead. This doesn't bother Trapinch too much though, as he goes for a Fury Cutter on the Budew, causing her to cry in pain despite the harsh amount of attack power he lost earlier in the battle.

With her Special Attack boosted, Violet goes for an Energy Ball on Trapinch, and she fires the greenish coloured ball of grass energy at Trapinch, causing him to cry in pain as it slams into him. This doesn't come without retaliation from Trapinch however, as he goes for another Fury Cutter on Violet that is a little stronger than the last one, but not quite as strong as he would have hoped.

Violet changes her grassy tactics once again, this time going for a Seed Bomb on Trapinch. Trapinch then goes for another Fury Cutter in retaliation, once again it is a bit stronger than before, although still not quite what he was hoping for, strength-wise.

As he cuts into her for the fourth consecutive time, he is able to get some good damage off like the last one, but Violet soon finds a way to put a stop to the slicing assault. Opening her bud up and sending a bunch of light purple spores in Trapinch's direction, he involuntarily inhales the Sleep Powder, and falls asleep on the spot.

Trapinch dozes in his sleep for the moment, and while Violet is happy that her plan worked, she isn't ready to get him in his sleep...yet. For now, she just goes for a Sunny Day, making the clouds move out of the way and revealing the bright sun, which begins to shine down on everyone.

Once more, Trapinch continues to doze off in his sleeping state. Completely unaware of what Violet is up to, he continues dozing as Violet begins to absorb energy from the sun. The supereffective impact isn't enough to jar him from sleep, but by the groan he makes in his sleep, looks like it won't be long before he awakens.

The round begins as Violet uses another Growth on herself. Absorbing a little more sunlight, she feels the comfortable sunshine boost her Special Attack up another level. Meanwhile, Chomper is growing restless in his sleep. Due to wake up soon, the Trapinch begins to mumble something in his slumber, and he rises to his feet and uses an Earth Power on Violet, catching her by surprise with the ball of ground energy. Right at that point, Chomper slowly begins to open his eyes.

Seeing that the effects of her Sleep Powder wore off on Chomper, Violet goes for a Mind Reader on the Trapinch, with the determination that he won't dodge her next move. Chomper doesn't like this, but nonetheless, as he gets the remaining sleep out of his eyes, he goes for another Fury Cutter on Violet...only to realize that because he was asleep earlier, that its strength got reset, much to his frustration.

Having boosted her Special Attack even higher earlier in the round, Violet then goes for a Leaf Storm. As she makes her battle cry, a great deal of green glowing leaves appear and circle around her, before all flying into Chomper, causing him to loudly cry in pain at the throbbing power behind those leaves...now that had to hurt. However, using such a super-powerful attack causes Violet's Special Attack to drop a couple of levels, going back to what it was at earlier in the battle. Still, Chomper manages to retaliate from this very painful assault with another Fury Cutter on Violet, getting a little more damage on the Budew. Chomper is relieved that Leaf Storm didn't knock him out, but he still knows...this could be it soon.
