Wormadam

As has become characteristic of many of the later Pokemon, Wormadam can take one of three forms, each with a different type. It is Bug/Grass in its Plant Cloak, Bug/Steel in its Trash Cloak and Bug/Ground in its Sandy Cloak. These cloaks depend on the type of terrain where its last battle as a Burmy occurred. Wormadams are sort of needlessly ugly and, despite their little cloak gimmick, not particularly interesting. The species can be female-only.

Its a flying male evolved Burmy. Its odd, finally seeing a Moth that's not part poison in this series. Looks funky, like the Pokemon representation of Jeff Goldblum in "The Fly"

415 COMBEE
Combee is a very small Bug/Flying Type Pokemon. It's actually formed by three apparently even smaller ones. Only Female Combees can evolve. It has only Sweet Scent and Gust as attacks, so, if yours happens to be Female, you'd better evolve it into...

#416 Vespiquen

No boys allowed! Only female Combees can evolve into Vespiquen, and since only 1 in every 8 Combees is female, good luck trying to find one to evolve! Its name is a reference to wasps even though it's a bee, which I guess is fair since Beedrill is actually a wasp. Its name also has only 9 letters, 1 shy of the 10-letter limit, so why it's missing an 'e' is a question for the ages.

#417 - Pachirisu

One of the few non-evolving pokemon in the new generation, this erectric squirrel is not the type I would send my kitty after. Having piss-poor stats in every category but Special Defense and Speed, the spunky rodent is essentially useless for competitive purposes. It would be cuter if they made it a chipmunk, and it can only wish it had as much potential as...

#418 Buizel

Essentially, a sea weasel. No seriously, that's it's species. It's fast and packs a fairly good physical punch for a Water-Type and it was somewhat obvious that Ash would somehow be getting Dawn's in the anime.

#419 Floatzel

The evolved form of Buizel. It sports two tails, and a life-preserver looking thing around its neck. These guys can be found near Sunnyshore City. Whenever I try to train there, they give me trouble. Their speed makes it hard to run, and they can usually get the first hit, especially if they use Aqua Jet.

420 CHERUBI
Cerubi is the cherry berry Pokemon. For some odd reason, its Japanese name Cherinbo doesn't take any advantage of the well-known Japanese word for cherry tree, 'sakura'! Unless you count that the 'bo' in the end comes from 'sakuranbo', the word for the berry in question. A boring linguistic point of view, huh?

#421 Cherrim

Normally it stays closed, but when it, a partner, or even a foe uses Sunny Day, it opens, revealing its flowery form. This form isn't just for show however, Cherrim, and its partners get an offensive boost from it, for both physical and special attacks!

Are fundamentally cute and squishy! I don't know what it is, but I like these sea slugs alot alot alot! The east and west coast versions being different also help with their cuteness.

423 GASTRODON
Gastrodon evolves from Shellos at level 30. Like its predecessor, it has two alternative colorings: West Sea (pink and brown) and East Sea (blue and green). In the anime, Gastrodons have appeared under the ownerships of Cynthia, Zoey and Paul.

#424 Ambipom

It evoves from an Aipom that knows the move Double Hit, which makes sense given its two hands. Its evolution method isn't the only thing that references its two hands. Its name is derived from the word "ambidextrous", which refers to someone who is neither right-handed or left-handed and therefore can use both hands equally well.

Drifloon introduced us a brand new type-combo, Ghost and Flying. This should theorically allow the Pokemon deal well against for example Bug type Pokemon. However, it lacks Flying Type moves, due to its physiology, it learns naturally only Gust. Its second form can be taught Fly though...

Recently, I thought that this Pokémon represented the passengers that died in the infamous Hindenburg, but that's just personal speculation. Drifloon has a ton of HP, so much so that it ties with Giratina for highest HP of Ghosts and highest HP of Flying-Types in general.

Uhh, you know, I never gave this small rabbit a shot. I was quite happy to see a rabbit in the games at this point, even if it did turn out to not be ground/normal :/ Uhh they're cute? I dunno Buneary is not my type, lol

428 LOPUNNY
Thus evolves Buneary via Happiness quota. In addition to Klutx and Limber, this Pokemon can also have the ability Cute Charm, which is useful when you want to make contact with Pokemon of a specific gender. That ability increases the probability to encounter a Pokemon of the opposite gender to 66,7%. In the anime, a Pokemon stylist named Paris and Nando both have Lopunny.

#429 Mismagius

When Misdreavus is exposed to a Dusk Stone, it evolves into this witch-like ghost. It seems like the Dusk Stone was meant to evolve creepy Pokemon, since it also evolves Lampent into Chandelure, and Murkrow into the next Pokemon in the Pokedex...

Honchkrow. The Big Boss Pokemon. The evolved form of Murkrow. This ruthless Pokemon demands the utmost respect from Murkrow, who follow its orders and bring it food without question; should one of those followers make a mistake, Honchkrow will never forgive it. Honchkrow's cries can quickly surround it with flocks of Murkrow, earning this Pokemon the nickname 'Summoner of Night.'

This Generation IV Pokemon could be compared with a more famous cousin from Generation I, Meowth. While Meowth's possible abilities are Pickup and Technician (as it builds machines in Pokemon anime) Glameow's are Limber and Own Tempo. You see, Purugly is a strange Normal type. Its fat and not appealing to the eyes. Its move set leaves something to be desired. Its really just an all around fat as cat that no one ever uses cause it pales to Meowth And wrapping its tail round its waist? Really? Lame. Who's next....

A bell-like Pokémon that evolves into Chimecho at night. Even though Chimecho evolves from Chingling, getting a Chingling isn't as easy as throwing a Chimecho in the daycare with a compatible pokemon. You'll need a Pure Incense for that. If you don't want to go through the trouble, Chingling can also be found in the wild in the Sinnoh region.

As the name suggests, Stunky is the Skunk Pokemon. Meaning it releases odour when threatened, of course. In the anime, it debutes in in A Secret Sphere of Influence!

435 Skuntank

Evolution of Stunky, it sprays odor from a tip on it's tail. It also can somehow explode for some uncomprehensible reason.

Bronzor. The Bronze Pokemon. This reflective, mirrorlike Pokemon has been found in implements of ancient ruins, prompting a belief that Bronzor is a Pokemon with an unknown relation to ancient civilizations. The patterns on its back are said to contain a great, mysterious power.

It can summon rain clouds which gave it the nickname "bringer of plentiful harvests". It is also is the only pokemon that can not be Grass or Fire type that can learn Sunny Day naturally.

438 BONSLY
Is the baby version of Sudowoodo. Unlike its evolution, Bonsly can learn Fake Tears. Mikachu Yukitatsu has a Bonsly named Sixthree in TPM ASB. Bonsly's name originates from bonsai, Japanese miniature tree plus lie or sly.

Mime Jr.

The baby form of Mr. Mime, Mime Jr. is a chipper little bubblegum blob with a hat that looks like a soft serve ice cream cone. It retains a lot of the same awesomeness of Mr. Mime's moveset and always looks like a banner ad for Prozac. Personally, I think baby Pokemon are a bit of a waste of time and would rather have seen a completely new Pokemon in Mime Jr.'s stead, but that's just me.

440 HAPPINY
Finally, the mighty Chansey got its baby evolution. Happiny likes everything white and round. Its debut in the anime was 'One Big Happiny Family!' where the egg Brock got hatched and this Pokemon came out. It appeared to be a great help for Ash and friends later on. Happiny needs Oval Stone to become Chansey during the day.

Chatot. The Music Note Pokemon. Chatot's tongue is shaped the same as a human's, enabling it to produce sounds that resemble human speech. This Pokemon imitates what it hears, including the cries of other Pokemon as well as human words. Its tail swings when it sings, allowing it to keep rhythm like a metronome.

Spiritomb

Spiritomb is a rather nasty spook comprising 108 spirits trapped in an Odd Keystone. Spiritomb is notable as a Dark/Ghost Pokemon for not having any weaknesses, much like Sableye. As such, gamers love to hack Spiritombs with Wonder Guard, granting them immunity to all attack moves (unless Miracle Eye or Foresight/Odor Sleuth are used).

Finally, after Vibrava and Flygon, a Dragon/Ground Pokemon, types in that order. I like its pudgy appearance. Ash got a Gible in an anime episode Gotta Get A Gible! Oh how I wish it evolved one day...

Gabite

Known as the "Cave Pokemon," Gabite is the evolved form of Gible. Gabite is a second-stage pseudo-legendary and thus has stats comparable to some Pokemon that are at the end of their evolutionary line. Aesthetically, there's not a lot going on here. It's a little grumpy, I suppose, but ultimately not nearly as interesting as its evolved form. They could have done more with this one, basically.

#445 Garchomp

Screw you Cynthia. That is all.

Oh, that's less than 20 words. Well, Garchomp is a pretty popular and powerful Pokemon. Its huge attack stat allows it to dish out massive damage. It's no surprise that along with Wobbuffet, Garchomp is one of the few non-legendaries that's often banned from standard competitive battling, and because of that, it can only be used in uber battles. In-game though, you're free to use one to rip though anyone who stands in your way.

446 MUNCHLAX
Munchlax is a nice baby Pokemon that, like its evolved form, is represented mostly by male individuals, as only 12.7% of Munchlaxes/Snorlaxes are female. Munchlax is much more active than Snorlax in behaviour. Munchlax was the first 4 Gen Pokemon to appear in the anime, it debuted in the movie Destiny Deoxys.

KUNG FU SMURF! Wearing a KATO mask! I don't approve of furry fighters :/ But Riolu is an exception, if only because he throws Hadoken's in the form of Aura Spheres. A very agile Pokemon, I do like his appearances in the Ranger Games, as that's the legit way to obtain one with said move. His Evo gets all the hype though, and I still dun see why :/

#448 Lucario

Answer: Because he's awesome, that's why! Unlike Riolu, Lucario can learn Aura Sphere naturally. Although there are several other Pokemon that can get this useful move, it's considered Lucario's signature move. Lucario was the second Gen 4 Pokemon to be revealed after Munchlax, and at the time was thought to be a legendary Pokemon. Lucario is also the only non-Gen 1 Pokemon that's playable in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, including the Pokemon trainer's Pokemon.

#449 Hippopotas

This is a weird pokemon, its a hippo but instead of water it lives in sands. Also it is one of the few pokemon with gender colour differences. Though it does look pretty cool, it seems fairly hard to obtain as you need the 26 alphabet Unown.

Hippowdon

Hippowdon! Very fun to say. This beast of a Ground-type is actually quite cool looking, especially its male shiny form, though with a regrettably limited movepool. I'm happy they didn't make Hippowdon a Water/Ground Pokemon, which is a cool albeit excessively common typing. Speaking of common type combinations, the next Pogey certainly falls into that category...
