‡ Round 9 ‡
This, my friends, is a showdown. Grumpypig and Elekid lock eyes, wheezing and puffing with exhaustion. The stare-off ends as Elekid dashes toward his opponent, hands aglow with Dark energy. Though exhausted, Grumpypig is ready to retaliate and does so by allowing his tail to glow silver and swinging it Elekid's way.
The two moves collide. Both Pokemon are knocked back as a result, nearly even.
<Grumpypig: -14 HP; -5 EP>
<Elekid: -12 HP; -5 EP>
The showdown music from The Good, The Bad and the Ugly suddenly starts playing for no reason. It's do or die. Both combatants play out the same moves over again, Thief vs. Iron Tail, and the two Pokemon strike one another once again. The two moves hit and the impact throws Elekid and Grumpypig back.
The two fighters stare at each other after exchanging blows, gasping and panting. Is Elekid's eye twitching? Is the corner of Grumpypig's mouth slackening? Neither fighter seems ready to give.
But then, exhausted, they both collapse in unison. It's a draw.
<Grumpypig: -14 HP; -5 EP>
<Elekid: -12 HP; -5 EP>

‡ Round 10 ‡
The two trainers think carefully before making their selections. In the end, Dabsaww releases a rather spirited Mankey while Dogfish sends out his Shuppet. The pig-monkey and the cloth-covered ghost ball (Pokemon are weird) face off as the final stage of our match-up begins!
Venn begins by making a snide remark about how Mankeys taste good smothered in barbecue sauce. Gosh, now that was uncalled for… and frankly a little bit weird. Mankey finds himself too enraged to do anything but attack. Encore? Naw, not happening, pal.
<Venn: -4 EP>
<Mankey: -3 EP>
Furious over this waste of a move, Mankey lunges for his foe with dark energy encasing his hands. He effectively mugs the wee ghostie (of what, though?) for super-effective damage. Venn pauses to puff herself up in the most frightening manner possible and rams into her foe. Egads. Mankey looks like he’s about to wet himself. Aww, there there, little guy.
<Venn: -9 HP; -2 EP>
<Mankey: -3 HP; -4 EP>
Steeling himself up to move, Mankey snatches the final burning candlestick and hurls it at his foe. The hunk of burning wax passes through Venn, but still deals reasonable damage. She ignores this little nuisance and batters her foe with oncoming waves of Psychic energy. Sheesh, can’t a pig-monkey catch a break?
<Venn: -9 HP; -8 EP>
<Mankey: -12 HP; -3 EP>
‡ Post-Round ‡
Taunt: 3 Actions
Note: Venn's pic has misaligned my beautiful tables.

The Taunt duration means Taunt will be in effect for three more actions, not that it lasts three actions altogether.
Go Venn! Misalign some tables ^__^
I want you to Double Team before it can attack.
Follow up with a Psychic
Whilst it tries to meditate, use CURSE.

‡ Round 11 ‡
Pleased by his odds-defying early lead, Walnut bounces toward his foe and steals a number of precious hit points. Unfazed by this turn of events, Venn splits into a series of clones that drift around the arena. Oh, snap! Good luck with this one, monkey boy. I think that spook has a plan.
<Venn: -4 EP; -9 HP; +3 clones>
<Walnut: -5 EP>
Seriously irked, Walnut attempts to Punish the ghostie for her trickery and lunges at her with a powerful Dark-type move. He flails a limb and… poof! The clone departs from this world. Ashes to ashes, I guess. Venn grins creepily and fires off some powerful Psychic waves that smack into Walnut and deal some impressive damage. And with that, our two combatants find themselves tied.
<Venn: -8 EP; 2 clones>
<Walnut: -12 HP; -4 EP>
Walnut attempts to move, but the memory of those nasty comments keeps him glued to the ground. This is just as well for Venn, who murmurs a strange incantation under her breath. She feels health drain from her body, but, judging by that look on Walnut’s face, she’s not the only one…
<Venn: -25 HP; -7 EP>
<Walnut: Cursed>
Walnut begins to feel faint as the mysterious spell saps him of life. <-25 HP> As well, the Taunt comes to an end.
‡ Post-Round ‡
Note: Right, Dabsaww: no editing your moves after they've been posted, especially if your edit occurs after your opponent has subsequently posted his own moves. It's a tough break and I understand you were confused about how the Taunt duration worked, but you should have paid attention to my previous posts (namely those that mentioned Light Screen's duration on the first page) in order to get a handle on how the post-round stats worked. But yeah, again, tough break... hope you're not too bummed about this!![]()

‡ Round 12 ‡
Cackling about her successful bit of witchery, Venn emits another barrage of powerful Psychic waves. Walnut manages to react just in the nick of time, erecting a sturdy barrier that blocks out all of Venn’s psionic energy. Well done, guys.
<Venn: -8 EP>
<Walnut: -12 EP>
Venn swoops forward and shoots off a larger, dark ball of crackling energy that strikes the Mankey right in the face. Not willing to be outdone, Walnut pauses and fixes Venn with a rather roguish gaze. Ah, yes, though he may be a little rough around the edges, Venn has to admit that he is a rather handsome ball of fluff. Her will to harm him diminishes.
<Venn: -8 EP; -2 SpA>
<Walnut: -9 HP; -2 EP>
Once again, Venn gives the Psychic move a go, but Walnut’s impish charm weakens the attack. Walnut tries to flex this time, showing Venn how tough and mighty he is (hey, Walnut, where's the beach?), but two sharp blows of my shiny reffing whistle bring that act to an end. Let's not go and forget which moves were banned, now.
<Venn: -8 EP>
<Walnut: -8 HP>
Walnut begins to feel faint as the mysterious spell saps him of life. <-25 HP>
‡ Post-Round ‡
Note: The damage done to Walnut was capped at 40%

I feel your pain. I too have fallen victim to Curse and, yeah, it can be a major bitch.If it makes you feel any better, there's not a lot you could have done even if you had realized that it took 25 HP each term. Curse is just mean like that.
*shakes fist in Curse's general direction*
Sorry ;-;
Curse is very useful though always be prepared to Ban it before a battle.
Anyway...
Combine Rain Dance into a taunt to destroy all clones and taunt the real monkey. I dunno, even the clouds weep for how pathetic that monkey is. I dunno, and no offense Walnut ^_^
Finish up by protecting against Endeavor.
Taunt + Rain Dance ~ Protect

‡ Round 13 ‡
As the match enters its eleventh hour (like, 11:59 pm, pretty much…) our two combatants select their finishing moves. Venn begins by swooping through the air while shouting something nasty at Walnut. No sportsmanship ribbon for you. At once, rain begins to fall from the sky, putting a dour spin on the match’s end. Walnut wants to split into clones—but really, between the Taunt and the rain, he knows it’s a lost cause and doesn’t even bother.
<Venn: -7 EP>
Walnut closes his eyes and tries to form a bond between him and Venn. Then, he goes flailing toward the ghostie with renewed vigour. This monkey plans to go out swinging! The Shuppet puts up a Protect, but the effect is moot; Normal-type moves can’t affect Ghosts anyway…
<Venn: -12 EP>
<Walnut: -8 EP>
My folks, it’s come down to this. Refusing to throw in the towel, Walnut scrunches up his fists and closes his eyes tightly, ready to Endure any move Shuppet can throw at him. While Endure can effectively prevent any move from finishing yourself off, there are a couple of things it can’t stop, and I can think of one…
Walnut begins to feel faint as the mysterious spell saps him of life. <-25 HP> At last, the Mankey collapses, defeated.
‡ Post-Round ‡
Good work, guys! You both fought really well and, as DF said, the fact that you managed to eek out a draw between your Elekid and his Grumpypig shows you definitely rocked, Dabsaww.
DF and I get four points.
Dabsaww gets two points.
