With Krauser down and out (and fighting the real Leon somewheres, I imagine), Darkly summons his final pokemon of the match: a towering alakazam named Magicman. Mag's eyes are closed upon entering the real world; upon opening his eyes, the two previously unmentioned spoons in his hand bend quickly -- but Mara's not intimidated by the rival's parlor tricks.

Mara closes her eyes and keeps cool, but all things change when Mag literally steals it from her [ -5PP Mara / -7PP, +20% SpA Magicman ]. The lucario, having lost her calm, begins charging up a ball of grim, ethereal energy. Mag, knowing what's coming, separates his body into five pieces, surrounding the lucario intimidatingly [ -8PP, +80% Eva Magicman ]. Mara takes a leap of faith and lobs the ball of death at one of the several alakazam. It wobbles through a clone, causing it to vanish [ -8PP Mara / -5% Eva Magicman ], before sailing into a suit of armor. The ball explodes, knocking said suit of armor to the ground.

Mag and his three clones close the gap around Mara as she charges up another energy-based attack. But as she does so, the four alakazam raise their bent spoons up into the air and simultaneously release a weak spark of electricity. The electricity sails through the air, easily crippling Mara [ -6PP Magicman / +25% Par Mara ]. Mara, however, damns the paralysis and fires the pulse of dark energy forward, destroying another clone [ -8PP Mara / -9% Eva Magicman ], and nearly destroying the armor that was previously knocked over.

Round 12
Mag, satisfied that his clones have saved him from all of Mara's attacks so far, begins forming a triangle-shaped beam of three energy sources: fire, ice, and lightning. The delta beam shoots off wildly, striking the lucario in the torso [ -4 + -2 + -5HP Mara / -5PP Magicman ]. Mara shrugs off the tri-attack, however, and instead focuses her energy on the ground. This causes a tremble as the arena floor starts to shake wildly about, destroying all of Mag's clones quite easily [ -10HP, -66% Evasion Magicman / -7PP Mara ].

With Mag disoriented, Mara takes point and flings her body at him, snapping down on his right arm with her sharp fangs [ -12HP Magicman / -6PP Mara ]. Mag almost cries out in pain, but remains reserved as he latches onto the jackyl's body with his thoughts and throws her off him easily [ -15HP Mara / -5PP Magicman ].

Finally, Magicman begins charging up for his next attack. Mara, meanwhile, waits for it, and as he fires it without remorse, she readies her escape... but nothing happens. Ohshi! Why'd her muscles hafta lock up now, she would wonder possibly; but as she wonders, the solid blade of fighting energy engulfs her frame, sending her to the ground easily [ -18HP Mara / -11PP Magicman ].

Round 13
Mag starts the unluckiest round off by gripping the fighting 'mon with his thoughts -- Mara protests, but with her body nearly disabled, she is unable to break free until the alakazam forces her into the ground harshly [ -15HP Mara / -5PP Magicman ]. Mara, in great pain, pulls herself back up and fires off a shadow ball that collides with Mag, exploding on impact [ -13HP Magicman / -7PP Mara ].

Reversing the attack order from last round, Mag this time shoots off another torrid beam of three elements that easily collide with the lucaria [ -4 + -2 + -5HP Mara / -5PP Magicman ]; Mara takes the blow, but can't even begin to retalliate as her muscles freeze up.

Uncertain if her lack of action is due to paralysis or planning, the Magicman takes a chance and closes his eyes while levitating over to her location. Once more, Mara is unable to move until Mag's tiny fist slams her frame [ -22HP Mara / -12HP Magicman ]. Mara rolls on the ground, hoping this pain would soon end.
