With the final drops of rain starting to fall, Sno makes a brave attempt at making Wooly an icicle. A powerful blast of ice formed from that concentrated energy and struck Wooly. Wolly rolled over, chilled greatly by the cold.

Shivering, the sheep weakly flicked some splotchy ground at the poison Pokemon. Sno gasped as the mud clasped around his eyes. It felt far more painful. Sno passed out, defeated.

Ahh, the rain has ended for now. Sno is defeated and this Viridian path is quite damaged. But Zerg still feels confident in his battle abilities. He whips out a final Pokemon, calling for Cinder. Out comes a Charmander, with a eager spirit, waving his tail around.

Out fly those rocks, shattering Cinder's spirit with a nasty hit. (6)

Unfretted, Wooly starts to dance, calling the clouds back. Cinder doesn't like the cloud cover and begins a tantrum. The shockwaves gain incredible strength, and fling Wooly around! Man, earthquake city.

Cinder watches as Chestnut, a female Mankey, bounced out of Dogfish's last Pokeball. She jumps around in a rage, as all Mankeys are perpetually in.

Oh wait. That's cause she landed on those Toxic Spikes. Yipes.

Cinder takes no chances and begins releasing a bunch of smoke to clout her vision. But Mankey just fans that smoke right back at Cinder via a strange power.

Cinder coughs, his eyes watering from the smoke. Yeah accuracy was lowered.

Well that was ok. He swiped through the smokescreen and released a few bits of flame. But they flew far to the right, leaving Mankey wasting its reflective talents for nothing. Aww shucks.

Cinder plods around still, upset he can't see this crazy Mankey. He roars-we;ll as well as he can, and that lets Chestnut get the drop on him. Literally, as she belly flips and flails on him from above. Cinder yelps in pain, and uses his tail to burn her. The smoke in the area helps and Chestnut suddenly finds herself surrounded by fire! Oh no!

Cinder pondered his next move as he watched Chesnut roasting in that fire spin. Smirking, he walked over to the rotating colums and tried to be cute and alluring. Chestnut wasn't having any of it, and bashed him through the fire. Kinda hard to think things are pretty when yer being burned.

Cinder took the hit on the chin like a champ and quit the niceites. He pumped out a ton of smoke, and moved around so Chestnut could only guess to where he went as soon as his tailflame was hidden away.. The fire was still visible, and Chesnut didn't wanna get burned so he chilled out.

Least the water put down a good deal of the smoke. She took a wild shot in the dark. Nope.

Cinder knew the rain was messing things up, and got in closer to continue the Smokescreen. By now, he made enough for it to be substantially sooty around Chestnuts fire. Chestnut hissed and swung out again. No dice! Where was this firelizard!

With little to no resolve by begin stuck in this fire trap, Chestbut relies on Bulking up in order to deal with anything incoming. She can't see a danged thing, and that's aggravating enough.

So, unfortunately, she doesn't note Cinder hyping himself up.

Cinder carefully stepped in close to the fire, as the rain begins to wane. He takes a good starting point, and then lashes at Chestnut from behind, kicking her into a column of fire. That forces her to jump back in surprise and he keeps whipping her with his tail and his arms.

She continues to get struck, but manages to land on the ground hard enough in order to shake things up a bit more. Trees go on a slant as this Earthquake backs Cinder off her.

The earthquake weakened the Spin's survivability, an so Chestnut did it again, to hopefully get out of it. It worked, as the land cracked and forced teh fire to succumb to dirt all around. It swirled around her for a moment, the dust gathered by the cortex, and just like that, both rain and fire were gone. Cinder however, not so easy-as he bashed forth with a second Outrage to put her down with.

Just making sure we're on the same page DL,
1. Earthquake is affected by the -2 Acc isnt it? It's listed as good accuracy so I wanted to make sure.
2. Outrage gets more powerful each turn it is used right?

No problem Zerg.
1) Earthquake, as I envision it, is a radially affecting move that hits the ground, and anything on the ground is struck unless otherwise stated. Since Cinder was in the range of the Earthquake, it hit obviously.

It can miss if the earthquake is focused in another direction though. or if something is way far away, Earthquake wont really hurt it.

2) Adjusted Outrage.

Cinder hunkered down immediately now, knowing that the crazy ape was gong to try for a game winner. So he runs up a tree? O man he's confused still, that's right. Chestnut notes the orange waddly thing in the scope of her vision and forces a Earthquake tremor in that direction. She manages to fell the tree, and Cinder takes some damage, though not all it could have.

Cinder rolled over, pretty sure that was not how it should have went down, and cried out in anger. That cry translated into a Massive Overheat, which blasted the tree into flames and flew all the way to Chestnut in a rage. She however, was smart, and slammed her fist into the ground, forcing the earth to quake and hopefully put out that fire.

Ehhh not this time. This one was pretty potent. Chestnut went down, searing all the way.

Cinder stood up, realizing that tantrum snapped him out of confusion. Freaking out at how tired he was, he curled into a ball and hoped that the Protective barrier would hold. Chestnut saw the orange dot clearer now, and saw it was stationary. Good.

She just flexed, to Cinder's surprise.

I had to think long and hard about these moves.

Alex was sweating now, he weighed his options heavily.
"Cinder! Keep your distance! If he sends another earthquake at you, use your earthquake to meet his head on and stop its momentum as many times as you need to!" If it looks like he's coming at you with anything else, use Endure first, then a Protect, I know you can do this! By the third turn and he is still coming at you! Endure that pain with all your might buddy! This is what we have been training for!"

Cinder let out a threatening low growl, and balled his little fists, his eyes locked on the Mankey. Cinder's poise was that of a tiger, ready to pounce at a moments notice! That was one determined Charmander..

(Move breakdown, Earthquake on any Earthquake attacks to attempt to cancel their momentum, Protect/Endure/Protect on any other attacks towards him, Quick Attack if you see any openings(non-attacks))

Dashing forth, he slaps Chestnut with his claws fully visible, leaving thin red lines across Chestnut's body. The female Mankey winces, but finds it in her heart to clap. Cinder looks at her, perplexed.

Cinder does it again, a lightning fast strike that leaves Chestnut burning with rage. However, thsi time, she retaliates with a swift strike that puts an end to the comeback Cinder was attempting.

Uh, even though I see this battle is over, I have to point out something...Charmander cannot learn Earthquake...not until they evolve into Charizard.

Well that's ok. That was my fault. Zerg, make sure your Pokemon can learn the moves you call out for it to do. You can use any move that they can learn in that evolutionary stage, so, as KOT said, Charizard can use Equake, but Charmander can't.

Just my opinion here, but when it comes up to looking up legal moves for Pokemon, I rely on either Serebii or Psypokes, you can't go wrong with either, since they are both really good. I unfortunately have been to at least one website with some incorrect TM compatibilities for Pokemon though, but that was years ago.
