Hate to nitpick, but according to the Movelist you can't call for a two action Bide. The duration is the ref's decision, not the user's. Not gonna demand a rereffing, though.

Okay, Maytag, so I suspect we're going to have to get a little unorthodox here. I want you to follow Godzilla down into his burrow and Taunt him very loudly so he hears. You shouldn't have a problem seeing him down there since he has a friggin' flame for a tail and, thus, I want you to blast him with two Thunder attacks.

Sub: If DL refs Thunder as an attack originating from the sky (which I don't think he does, but I just want to cover my ass here) and it therefore isn't feasible in this particular situation then replace Thunder with Thunderbolt.

DL has reffed it and talked to me about when a Bide will go, as such as he's discussed with me, the move can be timed by the user for when the energy will be released.

He's even asked me When the energy is to be released in previous matches. So yes, Bide can work as a two-turn move if you hold the energy for an extended period.

Bide: -NRM- All attacks that hit the user will deal damage as normal, but the energy will be absorbed. At the end of the Bide, this energy will be directed at any one target as a single massive attack. This attack is always of good accuracy and is of the Normal element. Its power is increased however. The duration of the technique cannot be controlled precisely, however; it will last a number of actions up to the referee and then discharge. In general, however, it should last more than one action and less than a full round unless the user attempts to concentrate on an unusually long Bide, in which case they might or might not succeed, depending on whether they can maintain concentration.

I agree that Bide can last two or three actions, sometimes more if you want. I just don't think, given the Movelist entry, it's proper form to state whether you want it to last two or three actions is all.

Usually I just designate it to go off after a specific attack at the end of the round. And I'm just saying that thus far, DL hasn't said no or reffed it any other way than the way he has. And since he's basically ASB personified atm....

It's just what you said before about the fact that the move can be timed doesn't square with the Movelist's description about it being ref-controlled, so maybe the entry could be cleared up? Either way, I'm not particularly bent out of shape about it... I more wanna see if my hair-brained strategy worked.

Both Pokemon feeling the brunt of battle, Maytag decides to call out Godzilla. The pudgy firecracker starts beating down into the ground, eager to escape the microwave. Maytag gets close enough to watch the dragon go down, and shouts after him; calling him a gutless fat badger.

Maytag spies the tailflame for a few more seconds, before it seems to turn dark. Instead of silence however, a roar emanates from deep within the burrow. Yeap, Godzilla's peeved.

Godzilla snorts, before trying to beat on his belly. But being called fat...that was really a low blow. He couldn't bring himself to hit his stomach, but he damn sure would hit that stupid oven!

Maytag however, found himself in a strange spot. He tried to follow Godzilla down, but the nature in which the dragon dug made it so the tunnel was partially closed behind him. No point in attacking what you can't seen...

Still ticked off, Godzilla speeds around , looking for anythng to attack. Maytag clamors out of the hole, and watches burrowing land get shifted left and right all over this arena. Kia stares with a disgusted look...it might be time to interfere...

Volcano Bed - Kíashkiklah (Original/Western)

Set within a volcanic cavern, the floor of the arena is still cooling with glowing cracks that show the red-hot lava flowing underneath. Kíashkiklah stands overlooking the fighting on a protruding rock structure, roaring and the sounds echoing in the cavern. In his raging state, the Fire Dragon will launch massive fireballs into the arena, damaging anything nearby for 15% at random intervals. He will also set up a barrier that will block Physical and Special attacks around certain Pokemon for a single attack. Very uncomfortable for any non-Fire, Rock, or Dragon Pokémon.

Hazards:
Kíashkiklah – Randomly launches fireballs for 15 Damage

Bonuses:
Kíashkiklah – Randomly protect someone with a Dome barrier against one attack. Acts like Protect or Detect.

Restricted Moves:
No Plant
No Water
No Steel

Things I noticed:
1) Chasing a digger would be hard, but a Taunted Digger would be a bit more sloppy...
2) Being underground for two rounds(6 act.) is fine. After that, 5HP an action-because you'll run out of air.

Wow ok. That was weird. I did not see the whole Bide discussion. At all. I only saw This post and then I posted my reffing. Where the hell did the other 5 posts come from :O!

To further clarify-Its ...tricky. Mew's right; I usually just deal with Bide lasting a while-after a certain move. Whether Pokemon makes it that far is up to the Ref :O. but yeah, saying "Bide for two/three actions" is no good(mainly cause then you can be set up for the failz). basing it after a move is smarter-and it is also playing chance. So basically Mew, all you would do is say "Absorb both Thunderbolts and release it back in a Bide!" You did nothing wrong :p

But that doesn't matter now. GYM BATTLE FOR THE EPIC WINZ! And I am NOT ASB personified. If I was I'd have long flowing locks :_:

Still livid about Maytag's comment, Godzilla starts to release his anger upward. The ground splinters and cracks, and heads right for Maytag's newly created sub.

Darkness swoops over Maytag just then, as a massive forelimb slams in front of his body. In the rush of the attack on the ground, Kia stares down at the ground and forms an energy barreir around the smaller Rotom. The upheaval of the ground stops short at the barrier, which seemed to extend below ground, sparing Maytag and its substitute from further harm.

God: -9E ~~ May: -7E/-10H Sub: 10h

Unknown to Godzilla that his technique was utterly defended against by a kindred spirit, the faux dragon pounds on his belly. The reverberations come through the ground, and Kia flaps back up, noting the ground is no longer going under strange deformation.

Maytag breaths a hefty sigh of relief, and gets back to the match, splitting into 5 identical ovens.

Feeling as powerful as he'll ever be, Godzilla now starts to flap his wings. Although underground, the force of the wind he was creating began to wash over him. Maytag noticed nothing, as he began to charge up-a glowing static corona enveloping his form.

Dig Up and combo it with Aerial Ace. Use the moves and your new found speed to dodge his attacks and get rid of those clones and break that Sub. Then lets rock n roll with a Rock Slide.

Realizing that air was getting thin, Godzilla forces his boy up, wings first. Closing them over him, they acted like a massive drilltip as he rocketed up. The clones barely kept track of the explosive force that burst out of the ground!

The Substitute was lifted up with Godzilla who squeezed it in his hands, smashing it with one massive grunt. As it crumbled into nothing, Godzilla took the time to look back down...down at the 5 stoves fired up a myriad of electricity. The crisscross of light and power blinded Godzilla as much as it struck him back aways.

God: -3E/-25H ~~ May: -9E Sub: Boom

The blast disoriented Godzilla, but it did not take him out of the match. He sped around the arena, and caused many a rock to come falling down all over the group. Maytag and the clones scattered, but all were wiped out by the land slide. Maytag fired a second onslaught of Lightning, and this one clipped the zipping Charizard.

Still floating above Maytag, Godzilla roared his lungs out at Maytag. Kia watched with interest once more....only to spy Godzilla struck by a hefty Thunder. A chortle escapsed its muzzle, as Maytag watched the fire type fall. His aura faded, but his presence was felt...

On top of the large sandstone formation coils the Rainbow Serpent. Various representations have the being representing different things. A large horned wurm, she is a god of fertility and life who's scales are the colors of the rainbow, hence her name. While the Pokemon battle in her presence, any Fire, Grass, Water, Ground, and Dragon attacks are more powerful than normal. However, she may lash out with a rage as she summons a thunderstorm and unleashes lightning bolts on the arena, before she heals them after her rage is satisfied.

Hazards:
Rain – As per Rain Dance, with two round breaks in between.
Lightning – The Rainbow Serpent will use several Electric Attacks after she brings the rain. When the rain leaves she will stop attacking.

Bonus:
Life Force – Fire, Grass, Water, Ground, and Dragon attacks are increased by +3 damage.

Things I noticed:
1) I was wondering how you were gonna try to slam all the clones and the Sub in one swoop, when you would attack the Sub first. You don't make copies of the Sub.
2) Mew Release, Oslo release and attack. Series 1-2.

Rotom can't learn Taunt. I've checked both IV and V lists as well as the list for Taunt itself and.... nope. Rotom can't learn it. While it's too late to ask for a re-reffing, I think It's important to note because two rounds were affected by an illegal move. Hey Oslo, where did you see that Rotom Learned Taunt?

On one hand shit happens.

On the other an illegal move drastically altered the possible outcome of a match. Granted you could have still won, but then again, I could have had a better chance. I feel cheated.

HOWEVER. I won't ask for a re-reffing, and since DL and you have offered to disregard the Charizard vs Rotom Set on that basis, I'll accept and we can continue the battle.

Well, after that strange round, we find ourselves atop the grand vista of Ayers Rock! The sun is shining down, and the massive beaut that is the Rainbow Serpent looks over at us, before moving along on her own buisness. As its still sunny...Tsuki and Invert kinda wonder why their trainers kept talking about rain.

In any event, Invert neighs and gallops forth. Between its spurs atop its head, a massive cracking of power emerges. Fearing the pulse of power heading her way Tsuki takes a deep breath, integrating a sort of lapse insomnia into her repetoire before vanishing from sight. The cannon fires with its usual erratic rage, and the Serpent watched the blast zigzag off to the left.

TY: -6E ~~ Inv: -10E

Revealing itself to be behind Invert, Tsuki raises one arm and creates a thin veil of energy. Some of it however-ripples off as excess and wraps around Invert. Invert however grins, as the attack whips off its body and wraps right back around Tsuki. That (just almost made me have a nosebleed) ...leads to Tsuki casting off the Thunderwave once more and wrapping it around Invertarig.

Well, that was fun. Tsuki-Yomi smirks as Invert deals with the new concept of having an attack bounced back not once-but twice! Tsuki now felt safe, and waked around the perimeter.

The Rainbow serpent looked down at Tsuki-Yomi for a moment, and then raised her head. Tsuki turned back to see Invert stamping its feet. With a few stamps, the quake ripples through the top of the Rock, tossing both Tsuki and the Serpent around.

Pissing off the Serpent? Yeah, here comes the rain...

The oddly cobble footed equine wannabe tries to commit to the match, as the rain cools both combatants off. But that dang blasted paralysis, it shoots up him like a bad case of ringworm. Tsuki smirks, before brushing him aside with a chilling breeze. The rainbow Serpent however, disagrees with the cold air, and fires a Thunder blast that smacks Tsuki down. She flies back, slamming onto the rock-yeah THAT was unexpected. (-12H)

Getting back up from that strike, Tsuki makes sure not to release another icy blast. Nothing to fret. She lines up a crackling bolt that ricochets off raindrops and electrifies Invert even more. [Flavor Text] Tsuki falls down, sparking in the rain.

The concurrent blast was pretty powerful, but Tsuki shakes it off. Instead it's changed up, and a set of odd beams are released for Invert. The giraffe spies this, and sits down in order to take the blow. A strange barrier is hit, but the beams cycle around his body...and then fly right back at Tsuki!

This occurs before a Thunder strike electrifies Invert's life as well! The Rainbow serpent is displeased with the sitting down Invert is doing.

Tsuki wiped the water away from her eyes, as Invert stood up. Legs felt wobbly, but the giraffe strode forth, wielding anew type of energy around its smaller cranium. As the Serpent watched, a purple ball and a flash of color each flew at the Pokemon.

The splash of power threw Tsuki back, as the lights encased Invertarig.

Invert ran around in circles for a minute, staring at the raindrops. Tsuki smirked, and tried to heal herself, only to be struck by a blast of electricity. This blast radiated from her to Invert, shocking the Giraffe as well.

The serpent hissed down at them both, as the rain started to weaken. Both Pokemon writhed on the floor, fighting paralysis.

As the shiver contest continued, it seemed pretty evident that Invert was undergoing it worse than Tsuki. The psychic calmed her nreves and rang a bell- curing herself of that jittery side effect. The bell chimes seemed to remvoe the curse of rain as well, leavin the serpent in a lighter mood.

Tsuki left the confused giraffe alone, and focused on her own self. With a humming aura, Tsuki quietly healed itself at the cost of some energy.

Meanwhile, it seems Invert is having a conversation to itself, and seems to only be running in circles.

The darker head seemed to have enough of the lighter's head jibber jabber, and looked at the plotting Tsuki-Yomi. Tsuki spied only the contemporary head of Invert not looking her way, and she decided to try and take it out from the chest down.

Raising one hand, a twin set of beams swelled before bursting free from the hand of the raised platform. The Beam struck Invert, and the rear head retaliated-spitting a Shadowball right for Yomi. Yomi was thrown backwards, feeling quite desperate about the situation now.

Tsuki kept her hand up, forming another Signal Beam. Invert now trotted to another portion of the rock and began Stomping it, leaving him wide open for a Signal Beam to the rear. The rear head glared at the Psychic, as Inverted got his brain together.
