Ash was down, but not out. In a jiffy, he released a painter with an eye for the mystic. Leo waves her paintbruish, ready to invigorate the world as she saw fit. A swift set of lines were drawn, creating a masterful arcane symbol on the forest floor. Bis barely saw it, an wasn't sure of its power. But, better to be safe than sorry, and she quickly shielded herself from any extraneous harm.

Now all Leo had to do was step on the rune, concentrate and point. Instantly, a beam of Ice shot from it. The force and power of the blast was potent, as Bis slithered back from its chilling grasp. She couldn't take any more hits like that-that silly symbol had to go. But first, she'd have to live in order to eliminate the painter. Swift as she could, her body was wrapped in light, made to deter wavelenghts of any kind.

Impressed at how well that rune worked, Leo stepped on it again. A second Ice Beam was delivered, same as the first. But Bis didn't care anymore. The hit struck for minimal damage, and she counteracted with a fan favorite. She flung herself skyward and waited until she was directly over the painter before firing a massive blast of Fire directly on the Smeargle. Leo crouched in fear, as the firey wave melted and utterly dismantled the rune, as well as Leo herself.

Realizing her opponent could draw her defeat at any time, Bis quit trying to beat around the bush. She looked toward the canopy, and wished upon an invisible shooting star. All at once, the rip of the sky could be heard and a twinkle started its way down.

In the time it took for Bis's wish to be granted, the wily painter managed to craft a masterful hand held rune, affixed to her wrist. There was barely no time to admire it though, as the first meteor smalled into Leo. She was flung pretty far back.

Leo raised back up, quickly flicking her tail to create a new shape. Before it fully created itself from the immatrerial, a second meteor slammed the beast into the ground. The hourglass fell beside its creator with a loud clang, bringing her back from the brink.

Leo: -8E/-9H ~~~ Bis: -11E -2SpA

Leo softly scooped up the hourglass, and looked through it. In its sight, she could see Biscione-whipping around the area as the Meteor's kept falling. It was only a matter of time before she was truck again so she made the best of it. A whisper though one end of the hourglass led to a Roar through the other side. The ripple effect compounded as is surged though the air.

Biscione was not ready for the surge of energy. It toppled her over with a resounding force, moreso than the smaller stone that fell on the Smeargle.

hmm its just I've seen where sketching multiple things takes 1 move granted that was in the sz but it was three moves at the same time so...
also the energy was for when smeargle needed to recharge from roar of time so it could use the stored energy to activate protect during that turn therefore protecting it from an easy hit

I see what you did there. Ha. Almost got a loophole. No, you can't use items to bypass recharge time for moves. Any item you draw reacts to its intention the way the moves are played out; as if they don't have items to be used in the first place.

Good setup though, helps me figure out how to tailor Sketch more. Keep up the good work

Well I'm glad somebody knows what's going on, because you'd have spent three moves doing graffiti if i'd been reffing this. If Sketch works differently to how it works in the game, or how it's explained in the move list then it needs a considerable work over.

I dunno why Sketch says what it does in the movelist, TBH :/ That's edited as of now..

The loophole, to explain, was that by creating the item, you would essentially be able to use the move via the item-seeing as how raising an item takes no energy. That's unfair to the concept of both recharge moves and the three move rule- two rules already established. So the loophole cannot exist since it has not been reffed in this match as of yet.

Pretty weak from all of this, Bis merely looked at the painter. He sat there, coughing. Yeah, that move was more powerful than that beagle could ever imagine.

Bis cried out to the sky weakly. In a strange twist of fate, her plea was heard, and the rain began to fall.

Leo: Recharge ~~~ Bis: -2E
Rain: 3 act.

Leo now hopped to her feet, and began brandishing her weapon against herself. She merely began wiping herself out of existance! painting its own body invisible! Hrm, well not invisible, but camouflaged to mimic invisibility.

Bisfound that to be amazing, but had no real idea on how to combat this, nor how to mimic such an act. She wouldn't need to. Since Leo's sketch was of paint, the water began to run the paint off of its body, creating a half visible Zerbagle.

Exhausted, Bis lied her head down, and looked over at the painter. She didn't know what it was trying to do, but at the same time-she didn't care. She grunted as Leop came over to inspect her prone body. In two sweeping motions, she found her body now laced with a pretty streak of purple

Lead based purple paint...that suddenly made her sick. She hissed and slithered backwards, upset by that. (-1) The rain knocked the Toxic potency down, but it still was going to be a hindrance.

With her poisoned and weakened, Leo waited patiently

The light drizzle finally ceased. This was a boon to both Pokemon. For Leo, it allowed her to once more camoflauge herself in with the environment, making her near-invisible. More like Predator cloaking, really. But the funny thing is what Bis decided on doing. Instead of healing, or resting or any of that...

she decides to call on the heavens. It's pretty scary too, because invisible or not, a giant frickin' meteor speeing at you is gonna strike you. It was evident that the Smeargle was none to happy about the impending impact either. Now the problem is I can't see where she landed! (-1)

Leo: -2E/-6H ~~~ Bis: -10E

Feeling weak, Bis slithered over to the newly formed crater and began flicking her tail left and right. But all one could hear was the wind as she cracked to and fro.

Guess being invisible has its perks. So what does Leo do? Paint another hourglass. Good timing too, that meteor took out the original one. (-1)

Her outrage duly ignored, Bis tried to call on the heavens once more, but now she had no idea where her target was. Little hint-she's in the direction of the ungodly amount of vocal energy that's coming for you...

Yeah, I think Bis is done for.

GLaDOS, use a widespread Blizzard, so the ice and snow sticks to the paint covering Smeargle's body and reveals her position as well as destroy any tiny substitutes. Teleport away from the Sheer Cold as soon as you see Leo start it, then hit Leo with a well aimed Tri Attack

Subs: If the ice and snow do not reveal Leo's position, then finish by using Lock On to locate her, ready for the next round.

Ahh, the inclement weather is over. Good thing too. People wouldn't like the rise in humidity. But RL keeps his coo, and releases a third Pokemon into the fray. Its digital parts reaffirm its gryostatic balance, as it hovers in front of ...a small fern.

GlaDOS scans the area quickly, even though a new figurine has emerged from the trees. It looks like a Smash Bros's Trophy of a Smeargle. No matter. It falls into the oblivion of cold, as the Pokemon beeps and boops, creating a hatchback whirlwind of ice and snow to tear through this tropical landscape.

When its over, GlaDOS looks over the area. Everything is covered in snow, and for some reason, there's a small tree shaking its head in order to get the clear colored leaf free of snow? Hrm.

Suspicions confirmed when all of a sudden, GlaDOS felt a WiFi Technical Upgrade.

Leo: -3E/-5H Sub: Boom~~~ G: -10E

Not pleased with the layering tactic, Leo quickly tries to brush all the ice and snow off of it. Too cold to concentrate with it on. But, since it wanted to play with cold, maybe it could do the same.

Only...how to do it. It doesn't KNOW how to do it. So, this allows GlaDOS some breathing room as well.

Leo: O.o ? ~~~ G: +6E

Leo quits trying to force herself to draw, and merely lies back in the now wintry tropical place. Probably not the best time to let down your guard, especially when there's a maniacal robot after you. Her location no longer secret by her earlier action, GlaDOS fired off a triple threat. The three spheres struck Leo in three congruent areas.

That went better than expected. GLaDOS, lets keep up with the attacks to end this battle quickly. Hit Leo with an Ice Beam followed by a Thunder Bolt, and finish with a Psychic

Subs: If Leo starts to paint herself invisible again, then change your next move to a widespread Blizzard again to snow her up.

mwahahahaha lets even the playing field a bit first paint a spiked black ball and use reversal
and follow with a pain split (both moves use round things) also while using sketch heat your tail paint to avoid freezing (let the ice beam hit, so pain split and reversal will have a greater effect)

GLaDOS seemed to be pretty confident about the outcome of the match. Floating upward to attain the perfect angle, the Porygon noted the surreal artist working on something else. From its height, it looked like a Koosh Ball.

From Leo's angle though, it was a masterfully spiked ball, about the size of a bowling ball. The spikes upon it were tipped with a yellowish green ambiance...something she was proud of. Then the Ice Beam hit. Ouch.

Leo: -2E/-10H ~~~ G: -8E

GLaDOS grunted, surprised that the painter was still willing to fight. Leo stood up and grabbed that spiked ball in order to defend itself. GLaDOS prepped a new medium of energy, this one electrical. The concurrent blast knocked the ball right out of Leo's hand, and up toward the floating bot.

GLaDOS bobbed lower to investigate the object headed its way, until it sped up, and rammed into its chest. GLaDOS fell over a bit, and then found itself face first in the ground. Leo pulled the spiked ball down, in a profound reversal of the spiked ball's rising energy.

Leo: -7E/-10H ~~~ G: -8E/-15H

Leo quickly ran over to the spiked ball and slammed one set of spikes into Glados. Immediately a Psychic blast threw Leo back as GLaDOS tried to recover. Crawling back over to the elevating opponent-the Smeargle decided on a strange set of events.

Hyping herself up, she slammed her hand into another spike and snickered maniacally. GLaDOS seemed impressed, even as their shared pain began to even out.

Well I'm not the ref, but as far as I can see you don't actually say "Roar of Time" in your post. You don't need to keep posting updates on what your moves are meant to be everytime somebody contradicts what you imagine them to be, if anything it can be seen as leading the ref. I'd appreciate it if you just left the move making interpretation up to the ref.

With moments left before complete ann--err I mean, before a perceived end to this facade, GLaDOS begins to swell up a storm over this island. Due to the tropical nature, making the temperature drop takes a few moments. Enough time for a master painter to sketch yet another stick figure, but this one comes out a bit bigger and buffer.

The winds do come, and they come with a horrid force that rips leaves off trees and uproots some of the weaker ones. Things are shredded by the speed of flying ice and somehow...Leo makes it through.

I can tell GLaDOS is annoyed, she is not talking anymore.

Removed of all items and constructs, Leo takes a wary step back as GLaDOS locks in on his position. Leo seems calm though, readying his tailbrush...

and quickly painting a tree. GLaDOS doesn't let him finish, striking him down with a massive burst of energy. It seems to drain everything in the mechanical construct, but GLaDOS must have deemed it adequate.

It's more than just there's no label of a move there. That description does not help me any when reffing because I seriously can't think of any move that would send someone into the future and there still be a battle. It would go to the future, and wait? No. Therefore, I can't interpret it.

Besides, the whole flying through time thing is based off of the movies, and idealistically, in a battle, that's insidiously hard to do. So, as I did before, I'm going to have Roar of Time act like it does in the games, because that's more fair to the concept of a present battle.

This battle is a good example of how the power of imagination can limit Smeargle, due to the restrictions of battling- as well a ref interpretation.

GLaDOS still seemed erratically confident about this matchup, as Leo painted yet another hourglass for this battle. Unnerved by that would happen, the digital Pokemon created a wireframe replicate, devoid of color. Somehow, it attained mass, and began move on its own.

Leo: -2E ~~~ G: -7E/-10H Sub: 10

GLaDOS then flew up and over the Sub, again reaching an elevation that put it out of the way of the damaging Time-dueling force that was blown from that hourglass. The wireframed Substitute was not so lucky. As it was decimated. GLaDOS beeped: target had been acquired.

Leo: -10E ~~~ G: -2E Sub: Boom

Safe from the time-warping effects of that attack, GLaDOS watched as Leo assumed the Porygon was gone to some other place where its beeping face would not be witnessed for some time. Quite a Shock it was then, when his body was electrified by the coming of a Thunder. Looking up, her eyes widened! How in the world did it survive that?

Apparently unnerved by the recent turn of events, GLaDOS continues to test her opponents fortitude. Looking to the items in the its possession, she decides its time for those to be forfeited. Thinking its a waste of time, Smeargle hangs back-not realizing the hourglass is still in his possession...along with the other ones that were not crushed by previous attacks.

Henceforth-the shockwave ripped through the air to zero in on the Hourglass, shattering it. Glad she wasn't holding it.

Glad to remove one annoyance. GLaDOS now focused on another-the actual opponent. The first course of action was to see how much electricity it could endure. The resulting agenda was a properly adjusted Thunderbolt that rained down on the now active painter. The strike struck, but it seemed to warp around Smeargle-whom painted a series of lines around itself. The lines were akin to a fresh glass mirror, and their effect was unexpected to GLaDOS. Her own attack came back with a different influence to render her confused.

Leo: -6E/-8H ~~~ G: -8E/-13H

Now unsure about electric, GLaDOS switched to ice. Leo acted fast, and quickly drew up stick figures outlines, three of them. In a flash, each became a replica of the pup-all that she could be proud of. One vanished almost immediately, to Leo's surprise.
