    oooooooook, as if 2 actions really matter right now, anyway, considering Oslo's probably gonna kick Cicero's dragon butt at the first action.

    BUT NO MATTER! I just can't wait for my NEXT pokemon to be released. It will be spectacular!

    EDIT:also, I'm going first this round, soo...

    Relax that first turn, of course, then use Focus Blast ~ Dynamic Punch if you're still up.

    Good! Another Gymmie!

    ===Stipulations===

    ‡ Category O ‡

    Top 40: This style of music always plays from the beginning of the match until the first Pokemon faints; it possesses no additional effect

    ‡ Category A ‡

    Easy Listening: Both Pokemon may only use one damage-dealing super effective move per round
    Punk: The first Pokemon (ie. top row or lefthand column of the reffing template) receives +4 Att/+4 Def and the second receives +4 SpA/+4 SpD
    Emo: Every action there’s a 20% chance a Pokemon will disobey its trainer’s orders and use Fake Tears instead (the Pokemon will manage to use Fake Tears regardless of whatever other status effects are in play, including but not limited to Sleep or Taunt, or even if they can’t actually learn Fake Tears)
    Screamo: Both Pokemon come under the effects of Torment until the music ends
    Rap: Both Pokemon come under the effects of Taunt until the music ends
    Tribal: An irreplaceable weather effect that negates any other existing/future weather effects occurs

    ‡ Category B ‡

    Oldies: Attacks are either increased or decreased in power depending on the Generation of their introduction:
    Generation I: +5 HP | Generation II: +3 HP | Generation III: +/- 0 HP | Generation IV: -3 HP | Generation V: -5 HP
    Dubstep: Attacks are either decreased or increased in power depending on the Generation of their introduction:
    Generation I: -5 HP | Generation II: -3 HP | Generation III: +/- 0 HP | Generation IV: +3 HP | Generation V: +5 HP
    Country: Both Pokemon may only use moves with names that are nine characters or less (including spaces and punctuation)
    Reggae: After the next Pokemon is released but before commands are issued, the Gym Leader and then the challenger will openly declare one move known by the opposing Pokemon for it to “forget” for the duration of this effect
    Chiptunes: Both Pokemon can only use moves they or their previous evolution learn by TM/HM

    ‡ Category C ‡

    Heavy Metal: Both Pokemon have their ability changed to Heavy Metal
    Rock: Both Pokemon have their type changed to Rock
    Polka: Both Pokemon have their ability changed at random
    Folk: Both Pokemon become typeless

    ‡ Category D ‡

    Classical: Both Pokemon transform into Kricketunes with the Swarm ability

    The choice of music, determined by the referee DJ, is not completely random. There is a 40% chance the genre of music played will be selected from Category A, a 30% chance it will be selected from Category B, a 25% chance it will be selected from Category C and a 5% chance it will be selected from Category D. The DJ should bear this in mind while selecting music. As well, the DJ is reminded to inform the battlers what the change in music will be before the change actually takes effect.

    Since Combat Disco is a disability-friendly Gym, should either battler send out a Pokemon that requires water in order to fight, a section of the dance floor will retract to reveal a pool large enough to comfortably contain a Wailord. Because the pool is located under the dance floor, patrons are reminded that Digging is not in their best interests. Furthermore, should any weather effects come into play, part of the roof will automatically pull back and open up the club interior to the sky.

    Those who successfully defeat Combat Disco's Gym Leader will receive the Glitter Ball Badge as well as the house TM, Teeter Dance, which is currently used by Snore Warrior, La Polla Loca, La Princess, Flower, King Thrashypants and Puff. It may be taught to any single Pokemon with legs that has competed in the Gym challenge.

    ===Battlers===

    ===Round 9===

    Before the DJ could even switch up the beet, Cicero felt a chill run down his spine. One note hit the airwaves, and Cicero fell flat on his back,.

    SW: -3E ~~~ Cic: -12H

    ===End Stats===

    BT release, Oslo attacks, BT attacks

    The Music fully changes, to that of...Polka? Wha?

    BTPoke puts a finger up to his chin in deep thought, obviously making a very important decision. "Ok, I have a decision. A decision that could easily influence the outcome of this match. Do I go the path of theatrics, and go with the pokemon I was originally going to debut in a dramatic way in this battle? Or do I go the path of strategy, and go with the pokemon that Oslo might fear the most based on the structure of his team?"

    BTPoke pulls out two pokeballs. He looks down at both, just now realizing the deep bond he shares with both pokemon he holds within his hands. The trainer has been through many challenges in the almost-six months he has been here. Being defeated by this very opponent is one of the first. He stashes one pokeball in his pocket, and throws the other onto the field.

    "My star pokemon, take to the stage! Reveal your power to your opponents, and win this battle for me!"

    (For this next paragraph, I couldn't help but think of this song, so DJ play this? Just for this moment? At least the first half of the song xD
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8NSszeu9Is)

    The pokeball opens up, and light floods forth from within the pokeball. The light swirls upward in a column of blindingly bright lights that causes all spectators to turn away. What was first white soon darkens into the colors of night. This drastic change causes the disco to darken as the black colors are soon joined by blots of white and red. The audience looks to the lights in awe as the column of lights begin to form a shape. This dark shape soon solidifies to form a tall, slender, and strangely-colored pokemon.

    Now's the time, Rosalinda (Female w/@trace) Forget this music, it's time to tango!

    Start out with a magic coat to reflect the toxic (as if I care about immunity right now. I could get lucky ;D).

    Next, dance out of the way of that mud slap and use Reflect.

    Finally, once he gets into the air, use hypnosis!

    another question. What's the ruling behind "abilities change at random" for polka? I mean, when you say "change at random," do you mean change at random times? or just simply to random abilities at the beginning of the round or something?

    Well, I certainly wouldn't have used Toxic if I'd known Trace was your ability.

    But you Magic Coated it anyway, so it's all good.

    There's room for the ref to interpret it as he sees fit. I was imagining the ref would probably set it so the abilities would change at the end of every round, but DL can do with it what he wants.

    ===Round 10===

    The people at this club really like to switch things up. Out go the glowsticks and rave mentality, in comes the weinerschnitzel and clogs and-wait, that can't be right? You need dikes and gnomes and schlitz spice and warm Kinder puncsk!

    Hrm, but they can surely polka.

    Not half bad..

    Rosalinda accentuates her grand entrance with an immediately crafted shielding. Unlike others of its nature, it has the unique talent of grabbing poisonous spit from fat Snorlazes, and throwing them back in its face. But to the Snorlax, its just leftovers.

    *shudder*

    SW: -3E ~~~ Ro: -5E

    The strobe light is coming down abit, and the colors are starting to spin faster in tempo with the violin. Ros drifts elegantly with the beat, and Warrior finds a pile of mud (no doubt left there by one of the pigs that was let in for this polka fest.) and tosses it at her. She manages to avoid the splatter with a graceful twirl, whilst at the same time creasing a ribbonlike Reflect that coils in front of her.

    SW: -3E ~~~ Ro: -4E
    Rfl: 5 act.

    Rosalinda stops her dance and holds her hands up, as Warrior once again takes to the sky. You know, for such a massive beast, it can jump pretty well. I wanna know what kinda leg muscles that thing has! Well, Ros doesn't share my sentiment, she's forcing sleep vibes to encumber the airborne...

    Oh man that's not good. Snorlaxes are good for one thing. Sleeping. Ros realizes her mistake too late, and is crushed under the now sleeping Snorlax No seriously, I do not see her AT ALL!

    SW: -5E Slp~~~ Ro: -2E/-6H

    ===End Stats===

    The strobe light suddenly changes colors, and they stream across the dance floor. Tiles light up in accordance, and Ros barely-I mean BARELY wriggles a tiny piece of her hand out. She's still surviving. A strange set of colors wash over the piled up Pokemon, and something is different.

    [Rosalinda is now under Leaf Guard, Warrior is now under Defeatist]

    I would rather enjoy going up against a ghost type, considering Rosalinda's moveset, but Oslo's right.

    And it's also my move, but I'll wait until I know the abilities.

    DEFEATIST!? Awesome!

    Use Psychic to get that thing off of you and throw it into the nearest wall. Next, use Focus Blast. If that thing's not down after that, use Dream Eater.

    ...thanks for that, DL.

    Rather than letting him use Dream Eater and regain health, use two Snores and EKO yourself.

    ===Round 11===

    Muffled cries for help are all we can hear over the rising cresendo of polka music. But Rosalinda uses alot, and I mean alot of her mental prowess just to get enough room to roll out from under the massive beast...who Snores and gives her a start. She doesn't manage to toss him at all, just drop him right next to her. That didn't hurt him one bit.

    SW: -3E ~~~ Ro: -9E/-6H Fln

    Not in the mood to have that happen again, she wells up a sphere of energy right in Snore's side. The beast wriggles in discomfort, but she keep growing the energy sphere with one hand as she rises upward. When she's comfortable with the side and intensity of the blast, she lets it loose. Warrior really didn't stand a chance that time. He let out a Snore as he was blasted back, but that one was expected by Ros, no to mention deafened by the blast's explosive force.

    SW: -3E/-20H ~~~ Ro: -10E/-2H

    Snore is down and out, or is he. In a disgustingly powerful showing, the beast wakes up...and looks around. He isin't sure what happened, but he knows the psychic broad over there has something to do with it.

    Ros is also stuck, as the beast no longer sleeps, and that makes her unable to feast on his braincandy!

    SW: :/~~~ Ro: \:

    Oops, I thought Snore would be defeated once he used up the extra 20 EP I got after the forced Relax. Derp.

    No probs, though. I like this better. Snore, let's go with Relax followed by Double-Edge followed by another Relax if you're still kickin', I suppose?

    Hypnosis, then Relax until he wakes up (if he does), then use focus blast.

    If hypnosis doesn't hit, go for Focus Blast

    o.O. Seriously? XD BT you just gave him another round!

    Good! Another Gymmie!

    ===Stipulations===

    ===Battlers===

    ===Round 12===

    This polka music is kinda grating on my nerves. Rosalinda must sense this too, as she's getting really Moody right now. Raising her hands a little slower, she puts alot of focus into putting the big guy to sleep. It doesn't seem to have any effect, as Snor just lies there, looking at the strobe light.

    SW: ... ~~~ Ro: -3E

    Well, she wasn't gonna give him any quarter. Once again, that massive wealth of energy was called upon, but right as Snor bounded forth! She threw her hands in front to try and stop him, but no, not this time. The Blast was thrown after the massive belly bashing Snore gave her. Rosalinda slammed to and through the crowd, hitting a war and losing all grip on the blast. It shot up and around, but Warrior ducked its trajectory.

    SW: -7E/-4H ~~~ Ro: -10E/-14H

    Knowing this could work against him, Snore sits down and listens to the accordion. Rosalinda pulls herself together and fires off a second Focus Blast. This one buries the beast, finally

    SW: -20H ~~~ Ro: -10E

    ===End Stats===

    With snore gone, BT hangs back, knowing this is alot more lopsided than he would like...
    N ot to mention the DJ finally gets back from his break, and remixes it up to...heey Reggae

    Oslo release, BT attacks

    REGGAE. <3<3<3 I was praying either this or Rap would come up. This totally makes up for Defeatist.

    I choose Bronzasaurus Rex, my bronze-coloured Bronzong with Levitate.

    Rosalinda forgets Pain Split.

    Also, I'm thinking of changing things around in the future so Reggae is always the final genre called up. I don't much care for eleventh-hour Pain Splitters...

    EDIT: Durr, sprite...

    Who, me? I dun think so?

    EDIT: OH, wait, you think I'm chirping you about your use of Pain Split in the last battle we fought against one another? Naw. IIRC, I at one point used Perish Song followed by as many Protects as I could, which is a super-lame way to play, so your eleventh-hour Pain Split was completely vindicated.

    My last two Gym battles against Muggles and Mike both resulted in them finishing off with Pokemon that had Pain Split and that made me sweat. I think switching things up so Reggae always comes last might save me some anxiety.

    Oh, as if I was ever going to use Pain Split, anyway xD

    Now let's see... let's have you forget heal block. I mean may as well, right?

    Alright, use Shadow Ball ~ Sunny Day ~ Fire Punch

    Magic Coat any status effects. Shock Wave any clones. If they use Rain Dance, use Hypnosis, then Nightmare the next turn if it hits.

    Okay, Bronze, use Faint Attack to dodge that Shadow Ball and strike. Then wait until she uses Sunny Day and follow it with Sandstorm. Finish with a Safeguard.

    ===Round 13===

    Aaah man, now we're talking good music. Everyone takes to de flo'r and the rudebois come out!

    Yeah boy

    The music blaring, I'm already in the mood for a Mai Tai. Bronzasaurus floats out and seems indifferent to the tunes. Bastard. I can see that Rosalinda is anxious to start. So anxious that she fires immediately upon seeing the bell. The bell blinks once, and then vanishes in under a second.

    Rosalinda turns around, feeling a strange energy behind her. Before she can defend herself, the bell clangs her across the back. That's painful.

    BR: -6E ~~~ Ro: -8E/-12H

    Rosalinda quickly continues the plan, trying to create a blasted blaze of light, that fits well with the Carib. But nooo. Leave it to Debbie Downersaurus over here to shut that down with a Sandstorm. Ros covers her eyes with her left arm to deter the grains, but they sting. (-1)

    BR: -4E ~~~ Ro: -4E
    Sand: 5 act

    Sandstorm or not, Ros was not giving up on this battle. She began to form a fiery fist, even in this storm. As she blazed forth to connect that bell with said fiery fist, the bell seemed again indifferent. The blazing fist struck home with Rex and he grinned. The shining bell suddenly layered it self with a Safeguard-preventing anything crazy from happening. (-1)

    BR: -4E/-12H ~~~ Ro: -6E
    SG: 5 act

    Ros knew she had to act fast.

    You forgot to carry Rosalinda's post-Round 14 stats over, so she should be sitting at 58/29.

    Okay, Debbie Downersaurus, since she has both Snatch and Magic Coat there's really no point in doing anything other than attacking. Let's begin with Heavy Slam and follow it with Shadow Ball and Signal Beam.

    Snatch that which is Snatchable and use Sandstorm if the weather is changed. You need not follow either of these subs if you've been Taunted.

    (Also, can I just say I feel kind of spoiled with all of these reffings? Three cheers for DL.)

    First turn, dance out of the way of that heavy slam and then Instantly use Sunny Day.

    Before they can use Sandstorm, use Double Fire Punch.

    Sunny Day ~ Fire Punch+Fire Punch

    EDIT: I also wanna mention for future references that Rosalinda knows Quiver Dance as a Tutor move.

    ===Round 13===

    As the real hits keep pumpin, we go on to git ta shosha's out.

    Doammmnaaa!

    Aaaa haaaaa! As we continue this battle, BT start to show that all that talk was not just talk. Rosalinda begins to dance in order to create a Sunny Day to dispel the sands. The whipping grit hits one last time before they part-and Bronze is not amused. Bronze tries to predict her movement and goes for a Slam.

    Predicting a Psychic's movements is like playing a game of chess and being 8 moves ahead. Friggin hard. Bronze manages to hit the ground, and Ros lands right atop of it, sunrays beaming down on her backside.(-1)

    BR: -6E ~~~ Ro: -4E
    Sun: 6 act

    Bronze raises up as Rosalinda jumps straight up. Spinning in the sunlight, the midnight Gardevior rotates and revolves twice before diving down in a corkscrew manner-fists first. Both turn into emblazoned signals of fury-and she drills them into the top of Rex's head with reckless abandon.

    It hurt quite a bit, but Rex kept its cool, and re-ignted the sands of fury to whip on the dance floor. You know all the reggaeheads dun care, dis aint nothin but a lil F2 Hurricane her'

    BR: -4E/-28H ~~~ Ro: -12E
    Sand: 6 act

    The damage was mounting on Bronze's end, and it had yet to make a good solid hit this round. That all changed when it waved its tassels around and fired off a beam of concentrated energy. This dual helix attack gave Ros something to scream about. And the sands gave her mouth something to be muffled with. (-1)

    BR: -6E ~~~ Ro: -12H

    This one is going to be a tad bit close.

    ===End Stats===

    Sand: 5 act.

    Let's keep dancing Rosalinda. If they want to play music, let's roll with it.

    Let's continue this Fiery Dance of Fury!
    Fire Punch ~ Relax ~ Fire Punch

    Snatch all that is Snatchable and Magic Coat all that is Magic Coat-able

    Switch Fire Punch with Thunder if they change the weather to rain.

    It's going to be significantly less close.

    Not sure if I can finish her off this round, so we'll have to do it the next...

    Let her come in for the Fire Punch and, once she's hit, retaliate right away with a Payback. Then use Light Screen so she uses Snatch instead of Relaxing. Then use Payback once again after the next Fire Punch.

    And now she should have no energy, so we'll be able to pick her off next round.

    I remember there was one battle I reffed like so much, it was done in a day and it was like a 4 on 4. Insanity.

    Good! Another Gymmie!

    ===Stipulations===

    ===Round 14===

    Man ya killing me with all this reggae

    ooooooOOOHHH CLUB ON FYAH!

    Sands aint stopping Ros. She's going for blood. With everything she has, she dashes through and clobbers Bronze with a powerful Fire Punch! The pair of them go sailing, and Bronze whips her back with a tassel strike as Payback. Ros spins off, unexpectant of that!(-1)

    BR: -5E/-12H ~~~ Ro: -6E/-20H

    That's not funny. Ros eyes began to glow red. Not a good look for her. She focuses and notes the bell trying to wrap himself in light? Hellz naw. She uses her own mental prowess to overcome Rex and take that shielding for herself....(-1)

    BR: -4E ~~~ Ro: -3E
    LS: 5 act

    Not sure why it cast up a Screen, Ros once again dashed for the slow moving bell. Another exchange was delivered, Fire Punch to Payback, and the second Payback stung like a hornet's nest on a little toe. Ros crumpled, lying on the ground in sheer agony. But as fate wold have it, she was not done yet.(-1)

    BR: -5E/-8H ~~~ Ro: -4E/-20H

    Kinda sad huh...

    ===End Stats===

    Sand: 2 act.
