    Gym Battle: Secret Garden Helen Keller style!

    ===Stipulations/Changes===

    New Gym:

    Secret Garden!

    Arena:

    A secluded Chinese style garden, equipped with a pond, pagoda, bridges and rock paths.

    Battle style:

    Tournament style, Best out of 3 (subject to negotiation). Each team uses 1v1, and fight until one is defeated. The victor records a point, and both send out fresh combatants for the next round. This continues until the first team have 3 wins. Draws count as 0, so the match may go more than 9 combatants each. Pokemon that are recalled may not be used again in the gym.

    After a battler is defeated, the VICTOR sends first, followed by the DEFEATED, who also ATTACKS first, despite the battle order previously.

    Moves rules:

    Rest and Pain split may only be used ONCE during the entire battle (Not per pokemon)! The move Ingrain will not work in the garden, but there are 2 (and ONLY 2) Ingrain roots already established, that any pokemon may grab on to at the cost of one action. Doing so grants that pokemon the benefit and drawback of Ingrain, and when that pokemon is defeated, the root retracts. Weather effecting moves will automatically fail to work, due to the fire suppression system, and abilities that affect the weather have no effect (eg: air lock and cloud nine).

    Gym specials:

    Fire suppression system, Ingrain bonuses (see above), Tournament style battle

    Fire suppression system: A system implanted to protect the gardens. Has 6 settings. Starts at 0 (default).

    0. No change. Battle acts as normal. The level of sun in this stage is equivalent to ‘Sunny day’.

    1. Rain effect. Battle field under effect of Rain dance/Rain conditions.

    2. Mist effect. Covers entire battle field.

    3. Haze effect. Covers entire battle field.

    4. Fog effect. Covers entire battle field in a thick layer of fog. Reduces accuracy by 50%.

    5. Heavy Rain. Fire, ground and rock types take damage per turn. Solar beam takes an extra round to charge. Doubles the effect of Hydration, Water Dish, Swift Swim, and Dry skin. If thunder is used, its chance of being protected or Detected goes from 30% to 15%.

    As stated above, weather moves, or abilities cannot be used, and attempting to use Defog during stages 2-4 will not removed the effect.

    The system is activated AFTER any fire type move is used, and will go up one level for each fire type move used. It will remain at the setting it peaks at for 5 rounds, before defaulting down one level. This means that the first fire type move will still hit for normal damage, but subsequent moves will not. NOTE: The level's of the system STACK, so at level 3, you are also affected by level 2 AND level 1.

    ===Round 8===

    Wow.
    I..
    never seen Raff win a battle..um anyway! As Raff slinks back to nurse her manageable bruises, Ayeun gleefully whips out her third competitor.

    Oh lord it's the duckapple. Who is way too happy to be out in the rain. But Emerald is nowhere near done yet. Taking advantage of the rain as well, he releases a brightly colored tarantula. Its electrical disposition aids to create a halo in its immediate vicinity-raindrops causing small sparks to be created from its hairs. Those sparks suddenly build and begin to rise upward, raising the humidity of the garden. Lily places her hands out as a mime would to imitate being locked by a wall, before a wall of water is released from them. The blast slams and uproots Volt, who seemingly missed an opportunity...

    Nope. I take that back. That immense static charge rockets down in the form of a megathunder blast. Lily flies up and to the right with shocking speed.

    Li: -9E/-14H ~~~ Vo: -9E/-18H

    Well, good start. Both Pokemon get to their feet and try this again. Volt has a massive advantage right now, as he's able to conduct his attack from his position and not even move. Lily however, needed to cover part of her distance to fire off those Pulses with enough accuracy. They met the Thunder head on, as Volt opted for a mouth release. The Pulses were shattered and Lily was pushed back farther in the garden, spinning and falling off a foot bridge into a small pond.

    Li: -4E/-14H ~~~ Vo: -9E

    Volt skittered forward, charging up a third blast to hit Lily with. Fearing another one of those strikes, Lily began to bend the water falling from the skies to her will. A flash of yellow over took her view for a moment, and she raised a hand to defend herself. Volt lunged into the air and with all 8 legs splayed, released a final Thunder attack on the prone body of Lily. As the static coalesced, Lily raised on hand at her assailant-forcing the water to rise up from under her at its own thunderous rate. It slammed into Volt and dragged his body away from Lily, but Lily still had to deal with the crashing effect of 100,000 volts of electricity.

    Li: -7E/-14H ~~~ Vo: -9E/-12H

    Heated battle by Emerald to stay in this Gym Match. Good way to start 2014! And Lily Heals up a bit (+4)

    ===Round 9===

    Volt see,s to have the upper hand at the moment. As it takes a moment to focus, there seems to be glint of fire coming from the side of Lily. Not perturbed in the slightest, Volt lets loose another hellion of a blast, as Lily runs through teh rain, to let a fiery palm land on Volt's back. It stings, but the downpour stifles the pain.

    Not like the Thunder that rips through and leaves Lily wondering if her trainer now hates her. The sprinklers now come on, and begin clearing thwir pipes partially. A thick mist now hangs low on the garden floor.

    Li: -6E/-14H ~~~ Vo: -9E/-6H
    Lvl 2 : 5 rds

    Naa. Not stopping. Thunder number 5 runs to the sky, and Volt just watches as Lily seems to be at a loss. Oh wait no, those aren't hands of surrender, their hands of "I'm-about-to-strike-with-a-Hydro-Pump!"

    DAAAAYUM. Volt went flying, and the Thunder than rained down leaves Lily crippled along the grass.

    Li: -9E/-14H ~~~ Vo: -9E/-16H

    Last moves of the round are a lather rinse repeat for the pair. How is Lily still alive, I do not know.

    Li: -9E/-14H ~~~ Vo: -9E/-16H

    Lily Heals up a bit (+4), but will it be enough, with Mist and Rain in play.

    ===Round ===

    Evasive manuvers! Lily sqwaked and ran for the lake, with Volt calculating her every step. He twitched a bit and fired off a different attack this time (Oh snap, he has more than one trick?) The dual colored beam flew like a eagle over the water, barely skimming it until it met its mark-that being Lily's face. Lily rolled over as she splashed into the water, sinking awfully fast. Volt screeched, thinking the match was won. If only he could see the glare Lily was giving him under the water.

    Li: -3E/-12H ~~~ Vo: -5E

    Lily bravely bided her time, watching the skies under the water. As charged, she saw the twinkling of light, before it thundered down and slammed into the lake, diffusing across the top and then coursing down. The lake was much bigger than the Thunder bolt that slamed into it, so her damage was minimal at best.

    Volt skittered over to the side of the lake and peered over its edge, only to see a green lily pad like hat emerge. He took a step back, but even that was a step too late, as Lily burst from the watery depths and knocked him on his back!

    Li: -3E/-2H ~~~ Vo: -9E/-10H

    Volt was taken off guard, and with him still trying to flip over, Lily had enough time to wield a awesome amount of water. A tendril sprung from the lake and careened for the Thunder thrower. Volt sparked in defense, and released another 100,000 volts of anguish as the water shot him deep across the garden, V-trail and all.

    Lily smirked, thinking it to be all over.

    Until that 100,000 volts slammed into her backside. Never underestimate the Thunder!

    Li: -9E/-14H ~~~ Vo: -9E/-16H

    Lily was down for the count, leaving Emerald with a little breathing room!

    ===Round 11!!!===

    Wow. What a heck of a sendoff. With Lily unable to clinch the third win, Ayeun seemed a little flustered. But Emerald's choice of a massive Fighting type seemed to renew her spirits. With one hand pointed to the heavens as her signal, a massive burst of light culminated into a small rose colored form. It flew around Chichi's head before backing away and opening its leaflike arms.

    No fear, right. So what if it was still wet and cold and misty. Chichi made the best of it by grumbling something. Being a female Hariyama did not include her from being able to sport off some curves and mumble something innocuous. Celebi however, didn't seem to go for it initially, as its focus was all on becoming a small projectile-careening into Chichi's stomach. The rotund fighter merely stepped back once to help brace herself, but she noted the pain she was in.

    Ce: -5E ~~~ Chi: -3E/-12H

    Celebi flew back, noting that the beast did not seem to be affected too bad by her strike. Oh well. Maybe a Psychic burst would render her unable to fight. The invisible force ripped past and through Chichi with an astounding force-burning her mind for a few moments. In response, dirt and twigs and shrubbery-anything Chichi could find really, was tossed up into a crude wall of sorts-if only to bide her time.

    Ce: -7E ~~~ Chi: -8E/-28H Sub: 10

    With what looks to be a one sided battle, Celebi downgrades its next blast, making it a focused shot at the wall. The air ripples and seems to bend the very fabric of space and time, before the wall explodes, leaving Chichi very exposed.

    It also gives her a clear line of sight to Celebi-who now doesn't like the massive fighter looking at it like that. The wisp tried to create some space between the two, but Chichi is surprisingly fast on her feet. With an adept jump, she was well above Celebi, and the slam to the ground was priceless. She stood up after a moment, but there was no Celebi to be seen under her! I offset wriggle would note Celebi stuck to her stomach!

    Chichi grunted and peeled the little pixie off, before slamming it on the ground again for good measure.

    Ce: -4E/-9H ~~~ Ch: -6E

    Oh, well that's good. Level one seems to have finally turned off. We still have some mist though...

    You all don't have a clue how good it feels to be able to post without waiting for pages to load indefinitely...for months!

    Gym Battle: Secret Garden Helen Keller style!

    ===Stipulations/Changes===

Draws count as 0, so the match may go more than 7 combatants each.

    ===Round 12!!!===

    Emerald saw that this match could turn sour really quick. A few quick shouts, and Chichi was back in the thick of it, coming after the lithe fairy with a splattering spray. A Psychic ripple blew the Toxic all around and connected with her rotund form. She slid backwards and braced her weight to help subside the act of motion, before up-heaving one last Toxic Spray that found its mark. For a split second Celebi fluttered around, blinded by the gunk. Ack, it burned. (-1)

    Ce: -7E Txc ~~~ Chi: -3E/-18H

    Not pleased with how poison seemed to have entered its systerm the time-nymph went for another headbutt to the chest of the fighter. This time, she flew directly into a Poison laden fist. For such a big head, its surprisingly soft and wilt able. The psychic slams onto the ground, and Chichi lifts her hands and shakes it, apparently stinging from that strike. (-1)

    Ce: -5E/-14H ~~~ Chi: -6E/-12H

    Chichi doesn't stop with the punching. Her other fist is now encased in ice, and that finds its mark directly into Celebi's back. The grasstraveler cries out in pain, and a reciprocal Psychic rips from its form in self defense. Chichi is thrown on her backside, as the Celebi floats up, eyes ablaze with white fury. The grass and water around the being began to ripple and bend backwards.

    Legendary forces are now at hand....(-1)

    Just a note, DL, the system is meant to down grade, so level 1 keeps running while level 2 is in effect, then runs for 5 turns after, in a downward cascade effect.

    o.O So when Level 2 was activated, I should have just started my count from 2 and cycled down to one, there by making it 10 turns of Gym based weather?

    Fixed.
