    GREYFOX'S SAFARI ADVENTCHA!

    Wagwhomp Swamp
A very hot, mysterious swamp-like area in the deepest parts of the Safari Zone. It is a thick, jungle like area with long sturdy boardwalks leading through a deep, muddy swamp. There are thick, weeping trees and the Pokemon here, due to the heat, are very easily agitated.

    ‡ Round 79 ‡

Why play the recon game when you can get your big scary golem friend to do it for you? Megazord goes entirely invisible before slipping down the hole out of sight. Meanwhile, you and Brigitte hang out on the boardwalk without much to occupy your time. You busy yourself by watching a Gastrodon and her little Shellos babies drifting through the water.

After a long wait that lasts several minutes, you hear something clambering out of the manhole. Megazord then lifts his invisibility and tells you about his findings. He informs you that way more than six Pokemon have congregated down there—dozens, in fact, all wearing identical hooded cloaks. Apparently, while you were sleeping, a unit of six Pokemon were deployed to Maos Temple in the Nevshard Badlands to perform the Second Ceremony. Eep.

    How do you proceed?

    > Depart
    > Remain here
    > Spy on the Dreadhand Cult for yourself
    > Approach Gastrodon and the Shellos babies

    ‡ Round 80 ‡

Happy that your little foray into swampland has come to an end, you once again hop upon Megazord's back and shoot off into the sky. Huzzah! You space out for a short while and, when you next glance down at the ground, you see that the lush greens have been replaced with rock formations and rolling sand dunes. You keep an eye out for the temple, which should look like a stone outcrop, but there are dozens upon dozens of stone outcrops down below. You're not sure which is the real deal. Friggin' hidden areas. Bah.

Unsure what to do, Megazord touches down in what appears to be a fairly densely populated area at the edge of the desert. You see a number Pokemon loafing about while looking at the night sky in confusion and fear.

    How do you proceed?

    > Approach Scraggy

    > Approach Skorupi
    > Approach Torkoal

I'll explain the situation and ask if he knows how they are restored. I'll go inside if he's unable to help.

I'll approach Scraggy and ask him if he's seen anyone wearing peculiar cloaks.

If not, I'll just take a little detour to allow Zord some rest and battle the kid with Chopin.

    GREYFOX'S SAFARI ADVENTCHA!

    Nevshard Badlands
A terribly hot, sweltering desert with few places for shade. Illusions are commonplace here-and the scent of inevitable dehydration hangs high here. Yet hardy Pokemon worked out a way to survive in this climate-despite the horrid lack of water.

    ‡ Round 81 ‡

"Dudes in cloaks? Bro, you blazin' or something right now?" Scraggy replies. "I just got here, though, so maybe I missed something? But either way, that sounds whack."

Since Scraggy's useless you figure you might as well battle him, right? You summon Chopin from his Pokeball. Your Kricketune rubs his scythes together menacingly as Scraggy does a double-take. Without missing a beat, the ebonics-spouting frog thing catches Chopin off-guard with a sudden Fake Out.

"Come at me, bro!" Scraggy taunts while laughing.

    How do you proceed?

    ‡ Round 82 ‡

Chopin begins chirping soothingly and you can see a rush of exhaustion overwhelm Scraggy. The little Pokemon falls and begins Talking loudly in his Sleep. Eyes closed, Scraggy hops to his feet and blows Chopin a raspberry. Chopin scowls as he begins to feel awfully Tormented all of a second.

Chopin keeps up the acoustics as he starts buzzing loudly. He emits a series of sound waves that whip and twirl toward Scraggy, hitting him hard in the gut. Scraggy continues to Sleep Talk and strikes Chopin with a series of random physical blows that Chip Away at his carapace effectively. Chopin tries to execute a second Bug Buzz, but the memory of that rude gesture has him all in a dither. With yet another Sleep Talk, Scraggy begins Leering at Chopin. How exactly he can Leer with closed eyes is anyone's guess, but hey, it seems to be working.

Suddenly, Shed Skin kicks in and Scraggy wakes. Cool beans.

    ‡ Round 83 ‡

Megazord walks over to ask the other Pokemon for assistance while Chopin darts toward Scraggy with a swift aerial tackle. The move lands a hit but then Scraggy latches onto Chopin's scythes and throws the Kricketune hard against the ground in a deft Counter-strike. Fortunately, Chopin resists the Fighting-type move.

Chopin then lands a strong Bug Bite on Scraggy followed by a smashing gesture strong enough to break rocks. Scraggy then lashes out with a pair of strong Thunder Punches. The latter causes Chopin to lose muscle control as his whole body goes rigid. Lovely.

Megazord seems to be having some luck with the other Pokemon, Skorupi in particular.

"Yeah, I saw some hooded folks not too long ago. Defeat that annoying-ass Scraggy and I'll help you track them down," Skorupi says.

    ‡ Round 84 ‡

Chopin makes good use of his Paralyzed state by lashing out at Scraggy with a flurry of random physical blows! Pow! Pow! Triple-pow! The ferocious orange cricket then kicks things up with a silver-specked wind that gusts hard against le petit punk. (Technician boost ftw!) Chopin attempts to go for an encore performance, but Paralysis stymies his attempt to execute a second Silver Wind. Drat.

Scraggy, meanwhile, pulls off a Dragon Dance (the boy's got rhythm) before using another ThunderPunch followed by a Focus Punch. The last move is resisted by Chopin and doesn't do as much as it could have, but this unhappy fact does nothing to temper Scraggy's swaggah. He begins showboating (read: moonwalking) for the audience of gathered Pokemon. They collectively roll their eyes.

    Wiggle.

    CYNDER'S SAFARI ADVENTCHA!

    Platrin Plateau
A strange, mysterious temple set high in the sky. Here, you will find exceptionally strong Pokemon in the various rooms and spaces of this ancient land set high in the sky. If you are lucky, you may stumble on a Legend or two?

    ‡ Round 138 ‡

You follow Salamence and soon after find yourself standing at the white marble steps leading into the temple. Salamence stands there looking down at a smaller Pokemon flopped down on the steps. He looks familiar.

Chopin retires to his Pokeball as Skorupi leads you toward the temple. Fortunately, it's a lot cooler without the sun out, so you're not particularly concerned about dehydration.

After several minutes of uneventful walking, you pause. You see a pink glow on the horizon. As you squint your eyes, you can just barely make out a figure skimming gracefully over the sand dunes. She twinkles in the moonlight.

Megazord leaps in front of you and holds his arms out wide to shield you from further harm. Cresselia then lunges at Megazord and performs a move you distinctly recognize as... Stone Edge? Wait, hold on. Cresselia doesn't get Stone Edge, right? As the move makes contact, all is explained: Cresselia's form melts away, revealing an entirely different Pokemon underneath.

Er... what? Skorupi then scuttles up toward you.

Looks like you hit the nail on the head.

"We found... the other two Light Stones," Salvador says weakly. "When we got here, Steve told me... that he needed my help no more, so he attacked me and left me here. I... don't know what's gotten over him lately. I thought... we were going after Reshiram to have some fun, but now... Steve seems to have lost it. He wants power. He wants to... cause harm. He wants vengeance on... every Pokemon who ever mistreated him."

    Ernesta raises a brow.

"Every Pokemon who ever mistreated him?" she asks. "Steve was not very well-liked. That's quite a few Pokemon."

    ‡ Round 90 ‡

You press onward. Lunatone, realizing you're not interested in battle, backs off. After a prolonged trek, you soon arrived at nondescript mass of rock. The pale soapstone glows in the moonlight.

"This is Maos Temple," Skorupi explains. "Good luck with that cult. And before you ask, no, I'm sure as heck not going in there with you... the Ghosts who inhabit it are an irritating bunch. I'd steer clear of 'em if I were you."

You survey the exterior of the temple and see two entrances: a main one in the front and a tunnel to the side that appears to lead down beneath the stone outcrop.

    How do you proceed?

    > Take the main entrance
    > Take the side entrance

Not interested in a battle; we've got much at stake.

Let's keep moving, but if that rock persists, lay waste to it, Zord, with a series of Night Shades!

Salamence, can you find some help for Salvadore? Right now I'm needed inside the temple!

Let's try the side entrance. Cults traditionally stay away from the norm.

    GREYFOX'S SAFARI ADVENTCHA!

    Maos Temple
This Temple is hidden within the desert. Entering its halls is forbidden, for it connects the land of the living to the land of the dead. Traps await any unlucky soul who wishes to find sanctuary from the heat here.

    ‡ Round 91 ‡

You bid farewell to Skorupi and make your way to the side of the temple. The entrance isn't very high and you're forced to crawl on hands and knees in order to maneuver inside. The tunnel eventually takes you into a massive soapstone chamber beneath the desert. The room is torchlit and propped up by large, chunky pillars. The atmosphere here feels... odd. You feel like you're transgressing, somehow. It's not really a sensation you can wholly articulate.

There are a number of doors here: a circular one in the floor and four in the walls coloured red, purple, brown and blue respectively. You realize there are words scorched onto the ceiling. You crane your neck upward to read them.

DO YOU WISH TO COMMUNE WITH THE DEAD?

    How do you proceed?

    > Deliver a response
    > Try the door in the floor
    > Try the red door
    > Try the purple door
    > Try the brown door
    > Try the blue door

    CYNDER'S SAFARI ADVENTCHA!

    Platrin Plateau
A strange, mysterious temple set high in the sky. Here, you will find exceptionally strong Pokemon in the various rooms and spaces of this ancient land set high in the sky. If you are lucky, you may stumble on a Legend or two?

    ‡ Round 140 ‡

You ultimately decide to leave Salvador in Salamence's care as you enter the temple. This place is awfully familiar and seems somewhat more inviting now that there isn't a raging Giratina on the loose. The antechamber is a work of jaw-dropping beauty: gold and marble have been used without fear of excess and you're vaguely afraid to touch anything lest you spoil it somehow. You're momentarily breathless.

Just like last time you were here, you're left with two choices: a hallway to the left and another to the right.

    How do you proceed?

    > Look around
    > Go left
    > Go right
    > Leave

    ‡ Round 141 ‡

You hang a right and stroll down the corridor in search of the Tao Shrine. Instead, you come upon a mid-sized chamber filled with vases of all sizes and draconic statutes in assorted battle poses. You see a silver door, a gold door and a spiral staircase leading both upward and down.

You also see two Dragons conversing in muted tones with one another.

    How do you proceed?

    > Try the gold door
    > Try the silver door
    > Take the spiral staircase upward
    > Take the spiral staircase downward
    > Approach Dragonite and Hydreigon
