Hmm, I just thought of something regarding the birthday idea, suppose when a specific week comes, that there are two or more ASBers celebrating that week (for example, Ultimate Charizard celebrates on the 10th, I celebrate on the 11th), what would happen for that week, regarding the title of the chat thread, whenever this kind of situation happens?

No. You pulled the same stunt at the Tree last year with that "What else you have in stock?" line. If someone's nice enough to get you a gift, you accept it and if you don't like it, you be courteous and give it to someone else or you return it to the giver so they can get a refund.

Yeah plus friends will usually either 1) Know you enough to have an idea of what to get you or 2) ask you what kinds of pokemon are your favorites in a sly way so as not to attract your attention towards the goal even if you kinda figure out why theyre asking anyway...which reminds me, I need to hardcore earn some points because a lot of people have bdays coming up >.<

I'm thinking that if someone was able to get something for their birthday in ASB, it should be 2 Points, simple enough? Methinks more than that would be a bit too much, but I guess that depends on the person wanting to give someone some Points on their birthday.

But enough of the birthday talk, time for something new.

I've been noticing how Andrew likes to challenge a whole bunch of ASBers to battle him at once (with one Pokemon each, of course, and Andrew using an equal number of Pokemon as all his opponents combined), and I was thinking, would it be legal to make a similar battle, but instead of one person challenging "all of ASB", two people team up to take on "all of ASB" in a whole bunch of double battles? I know it sounds a bit crazier than the other kind of battle, but...I am sooo tempted to set up a tag team battle someday.

Bday idea: I can see the concept of generosity being quite overwhelming here, and the receiving of 2 points per Birthday is kind of a redeeming factor.

Gifts however, were always allowed. Not just for the two Trees. If you wanted to give someone a Pokemon on their birthday, that's perfectly fine.

Kyle/Asi: Yeah telling someone what you want personally, is kinda bleh. I mean you if had a wish list posted in advance and didn't throw it down people's necks, then yeah, people would have had ideas for both yer bday AND the trees. Bit no outright telling. That's not really a gift. Takes the magic out of it.

Mew: No. It can't be retro-active too far. BUT...It CAN be retroactive to the beginning of this year, so people that have inadvertently been passed do not get shafted for basically a whole year. That's fair. So yeah.

Membership now includes a Birthday clause in that if you are an active member-each time your birthday comes around, you receive 2 points. Sounds good to me.

So now. Everyone who's birthday passed from 1/1/09 to 3/26/09 please post it in the BANK THREAD-and link to this post.

This is something I thought could be discussed in ASB. Since the inclusion of the Legendary Tournament, I've begun thinking about Legendary Pokemon and their supposed power in a system like our ASB. I came to the conclusion that many legendary Pokemon are not so powerful that they could not be incorporated into our ASB. On the other hand, there are a number of legends that I could not see being integrated into our ASB.

If we tiered the legendary Pokemon correctly, we would be able to exclude a number of Pokemon from our system while welcoming a vast number into availability. Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Deoxys, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Regigigas and Arceus strike me as instant 'No Go' Pokemon.

Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Shaymin, Manaphy and Phione (is that a legendary?) don't seem too strong in something like ASB. Mew's movepool might disqualify it from use. But the other four's strength in the games is attributed to their stats, which are arbitrary in ASB.

Furthermore, what about the legendary birds? The dogs? The Regi's and even the psychic trio in DPP aren't so overpowerful that they would dominate Teams and cause an unholy winning streak for their owner. I'd be more concerned facing a Dragonite or Salamence, personally.

Some Pokemon like Cresscelia (sp?) or Darkrai may seem big and intimidating, but I'm not sure if they would fall under the 'accessible' catagory or the 'omnipotent'. I also believe Heatran could be implemented correctly.

Now while I'm asking you to consider the use of legendary Pokemon in ASB, I'm not expecting them to be available easily. Otherwise we would have chaos on our hands. These Pokemon could be given permission to exist in our ASB, but I forsaw the gift of a legendary Pokemon to perhaps, the winner of a large Tournament. Perhaps our moderators could each recieve one or, similar to the Fanfic Hall of Fame, our community vote members into a Hall of Fame where they are given a coveted legendary. This would only occur perhaps tri-anually.

What does anyone think? Like I said, the inclusion of legendaries would be restricted to specific species. I also imagine they could be found in the Safari Zone, but aptly only under very rare circumstances.

I'd like to know what people think.
