    GREYFOX'S SAFARI ADVENTCHA!

    Rocket Hideout
Dee dee... doo doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo...

    ‡ Round 174 ‡

You turn to head back to the stairwell, but something large has grabbed you from behind. You frantically peer over your shoulder to see that the four statues have come to life. Whereas all the other Pokemon you've encountered in this dreamscape have been blurry and limited in terms of their colouration, these ones are progressively more and more clear. You feel a mounting sense of unease when you notice all four of them lack eyes.

Eyes or no eyes, they seem to possess some modicum of sight. The Tyranitar has you in his thick arms and begins exerting pressure on your body. Absol, meanwhile, has Carson and the Park Director pinned while Weavile is advancing slowly upon Brigitte and Mistress Miyako. Zoroark raises its razor-sharp claws toward Chopin.

    How do you proceed?

    Salvadore, try using Follow Me with the megaphone to get their attention, but if that doesn't work we'll have to attack. I'll go with the same orders as the ones that weren't excecuted last time, so;

Salvadore, can you help out by sketching a large reinforced net to try and capture one of the dragons and limit them to the ground, or at least limit movement. Then Sabaku can use Outrage on whichever dragon is trapped, and Rhode can use Rock Wrecker and Rock Slide on them too. Brenton, use Aerial Ace to reach Z and cling on for as long as you can. Then use Fling to remove the stones from around his neck, the dark energy should let you do so. Do so twice if you're able, and aim for the white stones. If you can't do it again, use Rock Slide on the trapped dragon. Salvadore, during that can you sketch Thor's hammer Mjolnir and use Bonemerang on whichever dragon is still trapped. Sabaku can use focus energy to rid herself of confusion if she finishes early.

    ‡ Round 175 ‡

You attempt to do battle with the creepy zombie Pokemon. Zoroark tears into Chopin with a sudden and drastic Night Slash, which your little Pikachu can't seem not Counter (not for another two generations, at least). Brigitte manages to free you from Tyranitar's grasp with a Vine Whip that she uses to hold the monster still, though it consumes a lot of effort. Meanwhile, Mistress Miyako keeps Weavile at bay with a pressurized Water Gun, but the move seems to do no damage. These Pokemon are invulnerable. At the same time, Absol maintains its pin on Carson and the Park Director and torments them with twin Thunders.

That's when you notice other statues up and down the infinite corridor coming to life.

Moving at a zombified pace, they start advancing upon your squadron.

    CYNDER'S SAFARI ADVENTCHA!

    Skyline Terrace
A strange town, all within the treetops. Long since abandoned by humans, the MASSIVE amount of Pokemon that live here all seem a bit strange and off kilter. The completely aerial town is connected by boardwalks, and the homes all resemble traditional Japanese style. One would think the townspeople were turned into Pokemon here!

    ‡ Round 159 ‡

Salvador tries to use the megaphone to execute a Follow Me, but it works about as effectively as the Taunt. Thus, you fly back toward the city as Sabaku wobbles a bit under the burden of so many Pokemon. Salvador Sketches a reinforced net that he tosses at Zekrom, but Z is ready. Using a Psychic attack, it stops the net from enclosing around its Dragon minion and instead redirects it back at you. Ernesta and Elmira jump ship and the sudden movement causes Brenton, Rhode and Salvador to lose their balance. They tumble off of Sabaku's back to the ground below and you're not sure where they land—you're otherwise preoccupied by the net closing around you and Sabaku. Likewise, you also tumble downward and land hard against one of the city's boardwalks. The wind is knocked out of you. You struggle to pull yourself up but can't will yourself to move.

When mobility finally returns to you, you attempt to break free from Salvador's net but it's too powerfully reinforced. Sabaku groans weakly; the impact apparently hurt her quite a bit. Looking skyward, you see that your Pokemon are continuing the battle. Brenton has leapt onto Z's back and is trying to Fling the Light and Dark Stones away, but Z has broken into a series of erratic airborne barrel rolls that make it impossible from Brenton to do anything but hold on desperately. Meanwhile, Zekrom is holding onto Rhode in an attempt to subdue him, but Rhode merely launches a Rock Wrecker right into Zekrom's face. The Dragon bellows in pain. As this goes on, you see that Ernesta and Elmira have used String Shot to latch themselves onto Reshiram and are firing Sludge Bombs at the Dragon. Reshiram tries in vain to shake them free. It looks like the tables might be turning in your favour.

You can't seem to locate Salvador amidst all this chaos, but you do see Comissioner Noctowl and his Hoothoots continually zipping and darting about in the sky.

    GREYFOX'S SAFARI ADVENTCHA!

    Rocket Hideout
Dee dee... doo doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo...

    ‡ Round 176 ‡

You recall Carson and the Park Director as you decide to get the hell away from the creepy eyeless Pokemon while you still can. You sprint back toward the first corridor where you initially busted out of your cell. You see the staircase leading downward into the hideout and the door marked with a neon "EXIT" sign. You try the door. Swinging it open, you see... a brick wall on the other side.

Suddenly, a figure grabs you round the neck and catches you in a headlock.

"Hey, loser!" Blue cries. "Where are you off to today?"

You're feeling a strong sense of deja-vu. Unlike last time, however, Blue doesn't have eyes.

    ‡ Round 177 ‡

You give Blue a nice, delicious taste of whatever the hell it is they put in Potions. He stumbles backward, spitting aggressively, as you beeline toward the staircase. You catch a glimpse of the eyeless Dark-type Pokemon coming round the corner as you sprint downstairs. The staircase levels out into a dim hallway which you hurry down until you come upon a room that more or less resembles a large warehouse. Peering inside, you see what looks to be two-hundred cages scattered around the room. Each contains a fully-evolved Pokemon.

You hear the horde thumping down the staircase behind you.

    How do you proceed?

    ‡ Round 178 ‡

You and your team members disperse as you start opening cage after cage. The Pokemon inside seem dazed but relieved. Upon getting freed, they vanish in a puff of vapour.

However, there are a lot of cages and it's tiring work. You glance over your shoulder and see that the horde of eyeless Pokemon have made it into the room.

Houndoom bounds toward you and pins you to the ground. Your other party members seem similarly occupied as the Dark-types begin to swarm them.

    ‡ Round 179 ‡

You call upon the Park Director, who emerges from his Pokeball and begins to shine with a radiant white light. You watch as his body increases in size as he evolves into his Pidgeot form. With great speed, he begins darting from cage to cage, releasing the latches with expert precision. The Pokemon inside similar burst into a puff of smoke upon being released. At this point, there aren't many more left to be opened.

Chopin, Mistress Miyako and Brigitte try to continue opening cages, but the zombified Pokemon have blocked them in. Your party members seem to be having a difficult time maneuvering around them.

Meanwhile, Houndoom maintains her pin on you. She then leans in and Crunches down upon your shoulder. You wince as her fangs break the skin.

    ‡ Round 180 ‡

Before Houndoom can continue eviscerating you, Chopin bounds over the eyeless Dark-types and scurries toward you. He lets out a cry as he Body Slams Houndoom off you. Your little Pikachu offers you a relieved smile. You then get up and attempt to head back toward the exit, but there's nothing there but a wall. The door is simply not there anymore. You're trapped in the warehouse. Houndoom pulls herself up and spits out a stream of flames that misses you by no more than a couple of inches. A nearby crate is struck and is set ablaze.

Meanwhile, the zombified Pokemon lay into Brigitte in Mistress Miyako with a series of powerful attacks. The two let out pained shrieks as their respective stores of health rapidly dwindle away.

Meanwhile, Carson finishes opening the last of the cages, which contains what you assume to be one of Lance's Pokemon. However, unlike all the other caged Pokemon, this final Pokemon does not vanish in a puff of smoke. Instead, as she steps out of her cage, she peers at you and your party members with a look of dawning comprehension.

"It's you," she whispers in a voice you recognize.

At the same time, the flames from the blazing crate appear to be spreading. The warehouse slowly begins to fill with a heavy dark smoke.

    ‡ Round 181 ‡

You raise the Pokeball upwards, but your shoulder suddenly begins to burn with pain from the wounds left by Houndoom. You then transfer the ball to your non-dominant hand but, before you can give it a toss, Hydreigon tackles you from behind. You're sent flying and land hard on the cement ground below.

The ball rolls away into a pile of burning rubble. At this point, as flames continue to surge throughout the warehouse, the smoke begins to sting your eyes and your head grows light. The heat seems to be sapping strength from your body. Meanwhile, you can hear shouts of pain all aorund you as your allies suffer similar attacks from the zombified Pokemon.

    ‡ Round 182 ‡

You recall Brigitte and Mistress Miyako and summon Carson to help Park Director deal with the smoke situation. As the two Flying-type Pokemon kick up one hell of a Whirlwind, Chopin scurries into the inferno of burning crates and vanishes out of sight. You hold you breath and anxiously await his return. Then, triumphantly, he emerges from the blaze with the Pokeball in his little paws. Seeing this, the Dark-type Pokemon all set their sights on Chopin. They surge toward him at once.

Chopin leaps and rolls out of harm's way, using his natural agility to evade the eyeless Pokemon's collective attempts to waylay him. Chopin struggles to stay out of their reach while bridging the distance between him and Astrid. Suddenly, Umbreon pounces upon Chopin and your Pikachu goes down. The ball tumbles out of his paws, rolls across the cement ground and bumps into Astrid's foot. She's promptly sucked inside.

    Wiggle.

    Wiggle.

    Wiggle.

    Click!

Your surroundings dissolve. The Pokemon, the fire, the warehouse... all of it. Gone.

When you open your eyes, you find yourself back in Grave's Yard. Inverted Duckbot hovers over you and lets out a relieved chirp upon seeing that you're alright. Peering around, you watch as your allies all stir from sleep. You made it.

    GREYFOX'S SAFARI ADVENTCHA!

    Grave's Yard
A frightening place where all the worst stories originate. Home to Ghost and Dark type pokemon, you may find a rare Psychic type, but only the bravest dare tread here.

    ‡ Round 183 ‡

Everyone seems to be reasonably shaken yet more or less alright. You ask Inverted Duckbot about the location of Megazord, the Ghosts and Darkrai. He points to a moonlit hill way off over yonder. Perched upon the hill is a giant mausoleum roughly the size of a small mansion. Even from this distance, you can see a couple of Ghosts stationed outside as guards. So. Darkrai found a place to set up shop, so to speak.

"So hold on," the Park Director interrupts. "We're just going to burst in and fight Darkrai all over again? What's stopping him from Dark Voiding all of us and sending us back to scary dreamland? I really, really, really don't want to have to revisit that place again. I mean, really. Did you see how demented I looked?"

"Hold on," Astrid murmurs. "I think I can help you, child. I can sense clairvoyant vibrations echoing from the future. Grab my hands. If I gaze into the future, I might be able to see how it is you successfully eventually overcome Darkrai... assuming, of course, that you do."

    ‡ Round 184 ‡

Just like you did in Dysfunctionland, you and Astrid join hands as she gazes into the future. Eyes closed, she softly hums to herself. Her brow wrinkles a little and she nods.

"Interesting," she murmurs. "It seems... so convenient... like a coincidence, really, since it's someone you already know... but it can only be fate... yes, yes... alright, child, listen. I see two possible futures for you, one in which you vanquish Darkrai and the other in which you don't. If you are to even have a chance of warding off Darkrai's Dark Void attack, there is a rare and valuable object you need. Go to 1294 Sitrus Boulevard in the Old Village. There is someone there who can help you. Do not worry, your encounter should not take long. Now, make haste. The Safari Zone depends upon it."

"We'll wait here until you, Chopin and Duckbot get back," Brigitte says, nodding along with all the others.

    How do you proceed?

    GREYFOX'S SAFARI ADVENTCHA!

    The Old Village
An abandoned part of the village that is set for refurbishment some time in the future. Who knows what you can find here, pokemon seem to flock to it from wherever they are. There's also rumours of places hidden beneath the old village..

    ‡ Round 185 ‡

Duckbot nods before Teleporting you and Chopin away from Grave's Yard. You suddenly find yourself in the middle of a derelict neighbourhood peppered with a number of ramshackle houses. You see a few Pokemon moseying about the dark, empty street.

You scan the nearest houses until your eyes settle on 1294 Sitrus Boulevard. It looks derelict and deserted. The front door is ajar.

    How do you proceed?

    > Approach Herdier
    > Approach Kecleon
    > Approach Koffing
    > Approach Pachirisu
    > Enter the house

You enter the house. Peering around, you see a moth-eaten rug, an old sofa and some rickety stairs leading up to the second floor. You also see a few Pokemon and a human.

You recognize the human as Oslo, a Gym Leader from the ASB League.

    A little flashy, don'cha think?

Also, when did you get -- oh, wait, that's your ditto.

Greetings, guy who's narrating my adventure from what appears to be an abandoned house.

Not a lot of time to talk -- there's a crazy something or other attempting to take over the Safari Zone, and I was told to come to this address to locate a rare relic designed specifically to counteract this crazy something or other.

    Could you help me?

This thing has the ability to ward off the effects of Darkrai's Dark Void attacks. Does that help?

    ‡ Round 189 ‡

"Woah, you're going after Darkrai?" Oslo asks, looking impressed. "Yeah, I know exactly what you need. The only thing that can stop the effects of Dark Void is a Lunar Wing plucked from a Cresselia."

Oslo then takes a Pokeball from his belt and gives it a toss. A graceful creature emerges. She looks to be in a state of rest.

"She performed a Lunar Dance earlier so her energy is a little wiped out," Oslo explains, "but I know she wouldn't mind you taking one of her feathers, especially since you're going after Darkrai and all."

If it's alright with you, Lun-- Dreamscape, I'd like to pluck one of your feathers to ward off the ancient evil that is Darkrai...

[Edit] I just realized that this is exactly where you are in your own SZ quest. Kudos, Os.

    ‡ Round 190 ‡

You ask Oslo's Cresselia for a Lunar Wing.

Cresselia opens her eyes wearily and slowly nods. Suddenly, a feather drifts down from her plumage and lands at your feet. It changes colour before your eyes.

"*cough*HernameisMoonscape*cough*," Oslo says with a sardonic smile before returning her to her Pokeball.
