I think i'll wait for his reply, it should be informative enough to determine the level of the trap. When we met, the second day he asked me in front of my colleagues to go out. I didn't reply. One of my female colleagues did and she answered for me, saying sure. I was shocked that he had the balls to consider asking me out given the age gap. I wasn't expecting this. We exchanged phone numbers , but we never called him nor he called us.

Since then, he has texted me. I sent him an email with a picture of us (all the group) and we have exchanged emails back and forth along some sms. I do find him very attractive i was staring at him all the time through the conference, i noticed he was particularly caring of me on the event. He started introducing me to all the other delegates and speakers and then he was following us... thats why we have a picture together.

He texted me in January. I never texted him back. Last week he texted me again if i was okay.. i was out of sms credit so i mailed him back. And on Valentine's Day he sent part of the print screened paragraph .....

What i wonder is , what he's up to? I mean... it is like too much bother ? Is he like crazy?

It is difficult to realize his motivations without advanced communication. Despite the fact he is a learned man, this does not discount his 'penis mind' – that is to think with primal desire and not cogitating anything further: the repercussions, love, their personality etc. If this was the basis of his intentions, your younger age conveys vulnerability. If, however, he sees a beauty inside and outside you, something beyond pure sex, and a connection is evident, then age shouldn't be a factor unless you let it be.

But as Barry correctly said: his qualifications and reputation should not cloud your judgement (easier said than done in an ego based world!)

TML i was not working per se. I was doing my internships at an offshore bank in Barbados. I am not a heiress or anything alike. My not so immediate family is well-off and i have enjoyed a privileged position in that regard. I went internship in my uncle's bank. I worked on treasury,compliance and operations in that month and a half. While that time i was sent to Antigua for some training in compliance (Anti Money Laundering) , that's where i met this guy. He was the conference's moderator. I never told him i was an intern.

! I was having so much fun, there i was along 100+ banking industry related persons. Most male and old. And there i was, the youngest girl.

Maria: Happy birthday to you! In the business world it can be hard to be the minority especially when it's gender that divides you and you are, well, young and beautiful.

Sounds like a great experience. That is a very high-quality internship. Finance and banking are definitely male-dominated, so seeing a young woman there who doesn't claim to be an intern must have made you appear highly intelligent and very ambitious (which you are)! That was a very good networking strategy. Unfortunately sometimes as young people, we meet older people at work who seem interested in us and it's hard to not think of it as a superficial thing. The best thing to do is follow your heart on this one. If he's really interested in pursuing you, he will. But you have to ask, what does he have to offer you (not money... emotional fulfillment)? Is there something about him that draws you to him, that you would be willing to give up the experience of dating at age 24 with others your own age for him? 16 years means he has a lot of life experience that you can't relate to... and he will have to try to relate to you but from the mentality of someone he hasn't been in 16 years.

Then again, Maria, men take forever to grow up--LOL--so maybe this is the right thing for you! Follow your heart but tread carefully in the beginning.

Also... Just re-read what he said to you in that email. He didn't talk about anything but how beautiful you are. That means physical attraction... Make sure he is interested in you (your heart, soul, mind) and not just your looks!

PS He works in the same industry I do! That's really interesting... It's random but thank you for making me aware of him. I've been really wanting to move to Canada (since equal rights and all LOL) and I do currently work for a firm where sports-fixing is highly relevant to us. Maybe I'll try to work for him LOL plus he is a boxer... Yum

Hey guys, i was away for a while. Things have been developing pretty intense, now it is not only texts. They are Whatsapp texts, Skype calls (3 hours+) and very 50 shades stuff. All over me. They guy is so umm "dedicate?", he appeared yesterday on CNN and put the same shirt and tie when we met.

I like him, but i just don't know if he is a psycho. Remember his focus is organized crimes and alike

As for this guy, well hey. You've Skyped with him. You've had contact on all sorts of levels. Have the Skype talks been anything but 50 shades? Has there been any genuine talk about you, what your goals might be, just average day to day things, silly funny things, or is it always gushy vomit censored material?

Do you find that he is always the one initiating conversation, or is it a mutual cohesion of ideals melding back and forth? It's thoughts like this that run though my mind because I've seen the tricks, ploys and traps used. It's easy to be critical, but it's also easy to overlook if it is genuine.

Nutshell: If he's consistent with genuine conversation and not just weird 50 shades stuff, then it might be worth it. Otherwise, drop it like its hot and move on :/

Magmar! I was actually at a strip club. I accidentally entered a strip club with a friend thinking it was a nice place to dance. A disco, he was asking me what i did that night, and i actually accidentally landed on a strip club. A hilarious story, along other places i went that night.

He knows that i find him attractive, so sometimes he tells something cocky, and i'm so nice that i boost his ego. I prefer he wouldn't, it's only been a few times. Like he would be explaining how good he is at improvising. Just to chime in an example. He talks about his work, always like's to tell me what he is up to or being doing and even his exercise routine. Gotta love the "I did 320 sit-ups today!" .Probably the guy does it to impress me , fair enough- credit where is due.

He can't buy me, i'm not a gold digger and i have nice things too. I think we are both playing, i am attracted to him and his is attracted to me, it is not that i don't want him. I'm following his game until he gets up here. I will take whatever decision face to face, and only do what i want.

I went to my nephews baptism with it!! Though indirectly i was rehearsing on what to put on a formal daylight date, just to be impecable. . At the baptism party i noticed my brother's friends (same age as the guy) were complimenting me and females too. So i liked it very much!!! Just want to make sure i look beautiful and make the guy drool
