Ardour targets Perseus with a powerful Attract. Your Gallade snaps his fingers, calling up a pink wall of energy. The move reflects the Attract, causing Ardour to become hopelessly devoted to your Gallade. Meanwhile, Fervour releases a blast of solar energy at Pan, scoring a hit. However, given the fact that the conditions here are less than optimal for such an attack, it's not the strongest Solar Beam to ever occur. Pan smirks, puffs out her chest and prances around the snowy battlefield like she owns the place. Fervour is overcome with rage and Confusion as his offensive parameters spike upward.

Ardour fights through her Attraction and attacks Perseus with a mighty Air Slash. Meanwhile, Fervour flexes his guns, which successfully Attracts Pan. Dang. Misty Terrain will stop most things, but it won't stop that. Pan sighs deeply and finds herself unable to move. Perseus, meanwhile, summons a bevy of rocks that dump all over Ardour. Bam!

Now it's Ardour's turn to succumb to Attraction. She waves at Perseus kind of stupidly while Fervour rips into Pan with an Air Slash. It scores a flinch! Once again, Pan can't move! Fortunately, Perseus is able to pick up the slack. He dumps another Rock Slide all over Ardour. Dang. That looks painful.

With the round over, you are now once again in the position to command moves. You notice that the Embargoes on your opponents have fallen, while the Misty Terrain persists.

"Ardour, use Focus Punch on Pan! Follow it up with an Echoed Voice on Perseus and a ThunderPunch on Pan!" she shouts. "Fervour, hit Perseus with Shadow Claw, Echoed Voice and then Bulldoze!"

As the round begins, Ardour and Fervour are both overcome by bad luck: the first is overcome with infatuation while the latter starts punching himself in the face with Confusion. Perseus and Pan take advantage of this momentary opening. Perseus strikes Ardour with a Knock Off while Pan seduces Fervour using Attract. Jeepers. Everyone is in love with everyone else. What is this, The CW?

Ardour and Fervour get back into play, with the latter Charizard working through his Confusion altogether. They start using Echoed Voice in unison, and though it's not quite as effective as Round, Perseus is still left with one heck of an earache. Perseus attacks Ardour with an sizzling punch, doing a hefty bit of damage, while Pan is once again left all delirious due to certain biological urges.

Ardour swoops in toward Pan and attacks her with an sizzling punch much like the one Perseus just used, while Fervour hits your Gallade with a ground-shaking Bulldoze. Perseus assaults Ardour with various falling rocks while Pan finally manages to use Foul Play. She releases a blast of Dark-type energy, which uses Fervour's own strength against him to deal high damage. All Pokemon on the field are left panting as the Misty Terrain fades away.

Once again, it's Marissa's turn to issue commands...

After quite some time, you touch down and see that things are mostly as you left them: a complete and utter mess. Building are smashed and waste lies about. It will be quite some time before this place recovers from the freak weather. No sign of Lloyd.

You deliver some commands and the battle continues. With identical flashes of light, Ardour and Fervour Mega Evolve. Their bodies transform and look a heck of a lot more ferocious. It's getting real up in here! However, Perseus and Pan remain undeterred by their Mega opponents. Perseus waves his hand and releases some invisible waves that lull Ardour into a deep sleep. Meanwhile, Pan combines a jumping attack with a rocky barrage to deal some serious damage toward Fervour.

Fervour closes his eyes and begins to pull solar energy from his surroundings, but since we're in a cave, the plan doesn't quite work as desired. Dude ain't gonna get a lot of mileage out of Drought on this battlefield. Pan is overcome with infatuation and can't do anything, but Perseus can: he attacks poor slumbering Ardour with a pulsating blast of pink energy. Bam! It's a solid hit.

As the round comes to an end, Fervour unleashes a slightly deficient Solar Beam at Perseus, who hits Ardour another Dazzling Gleam assault. Ardour's Attraction lifts, but the Mega Charizard X doesn't even know it on account of how she's still snoozing.

"Ardour, use Sleep Talk until you wake up followed by Blast Burn on Perseus!" she cries. "Fervour, use Protect! Then pull Pan into the air with a Sky Drop. Finish by Focus Blasting her back down to the ground."

Ardour begins to mutter in her Sleep. Suddenly, she releases a dazzling Dragon Pulse at Perseus. Yep, that's a hit. Fervour follows suit with a Protect. Perseus hits Ardour with a Dazzling Gleam, which does a fair amount of damage, but Pan can't say the same for her combo attack. Her Aerial Ace/Stone Edge cocktail collides with Fervour's energy barrier and does no damage.

Suddenly, Ardour awakens. The Mega Charizard X bellows and assaults Perseus with a powerful Blast Burn. A fiery attack of epic proportions sweeps into Persues, sending him clear out of the ring. Jeezus. Perseus finally gets back up and counters the Blast Burn with a Dazzling Gleam. The revenge strike is successful. As all this goes on, Fervour smiles like a dope. Attract wins again.

Time for Ardour to recharge, which gives Perseus the opening he needs. With a final Dazzling Gleam, he ends things for the Mega. One down, one to go. Fervour lets out a roar and uses a mighty blast of chi energy to propel Pan into the cavern wall. She lets out a moan. That is probably not good for her spine or something.

Pan's allies cheer her on.



"You can do it, Pan!" Eckhart cries.

"All things considered, she's performing better than I've ever seen her perform," Perry says.

"Yeah, I thought she would have been knocked out rounds ago," Quinn adds.

You set out in search of Lloyd. After about half an hour, you find him along with Pamela's Chesnaught and Swanna at the Skyline Terrace Town Hall, which lies almost entirely in ruins.



Lloyd, Chesnaught and Swanna are slowly but surely putting the bricks back in place. A mustachioed Ambipom with a top hat and monocle stands nearby. He is weaing a sash that says "MAYOR."



"Wot wot! Keep at it, mates!" Mayor Ambipom cries. "Your work has been quite spiffing!"

You issue commands to test out your clone theory. Pan charges through the snow toward the Glalie as a bunch of Ice Beams come whipping her way. She jumps out of their path and uses an aerial attack combined with a rocky strike to come down hard on one of the Glalie. Sure enough, when the attack makes contact, several other Glalie vanish as well. Looks like you were right. However, when the Hyper Beam recharge period ends, the struck Glalie growls and retaliates with a couple of Ice Fangs to Pan's shins. She grunts as she takes damage.

Meanwhile, Perseus vanishes and reappears behind the mass of Glalie. He delivers a powerful Focus Punch, but the attack ends up sailing through a clone. Another Glalie targets him with some Ice Fangs as well; whereas Pan was lucky enough to avoid getting Frozen, Perseus is not. Ice crystals form around his entire body and render him completely trapped and immobile.

Animkii and Mamoswine spam Heat Wave and Rock Slide respectively. You watch as a few dozen Glalie clones are wiped out, while many actual Glalie take super effective damage. As some of the Glalie use Double Team to replenish their numbers, some of the other Glalie launch a second Hyper Beam assault at the cave's exterior. The attack works. You watch as big heaps of rock are dislodged.

"This place could cave in any second now!" Jynx yells from inside the cave. "We need to get the eggs out of here!"
