His pokémon's not looking so hot; without a pool to swim in, Triangle Man's efforts, however valient, will soon be thwarted. TheBlueAvenger acts quickly, and shouts out his next commands, "Okay, Triangle Man, let's keep our distance. First, use Double Team. Then use Swift to attack his left leg and aggravate things a bit. Finally, try to fire a Toxic in the same area. However, should he come near you, attack viciously with Fury Cutter. Protect against Hyper Beam as well."

Meanwhile, Chris 2.0, with a foul plan of his own, muses, "Yawn to cause the pirhanna to get drowsy. Destroy the clones and deal damage with Earthquake; maybe we can disrupt the pirhanna's concentration too. End with a Rapid Spin to ensure that Tri-Man uses Fury Cutter."

Once again, wasting very little time, and even littler (which despite not being a word, works perfectly) energy, the large blastoise opens his large mouth wide, and yawns. Infectious as they are, Triangle Man cannot help but yawn as well, and his eyes suddenly become heavier. Triangle Man, or Tri-Man, as the former Brit Chris refers to him, then tries as hard as he can to conjure up some identical clones. Unfortunately, his concentration is slowly wittled away due to his drowsiness, and he can only create two. However, Tanqua aims to aim not, and blindly slams her foot down once more onto the broken arena floor. Using her right foot once more, the quake sends waves of debris through the arena. The ground waves manage to disrupt Triangle Man's concentration, and deplete his clones. Triangle Man, annoyed, and beaten, spits out four quick stars which immediately swipe at Tanqua's open knee wound; the sea turtle (argh!) winces in pain, but bears with it as he then withdraws into his defensive shell and barrels towards the large pirhanna. With his opponent quickly coming towards, Triangle Man, as per his instructions, trires to lash out three swipes using his fins, which then trickled with a bug-like essence. However, as the blastoise tumbles forward, it is Tanqua that is clearly the victor of that minor scuffle; Triangle Man is smacked by the massive shell as it drives by, leaving him a bit woozy.

"Okay, use Agility to jump back into a tank. Then, use a Scary Face to hopefully intimidate him a bit, then use Icy Wind to slow him down."

Tanqua immediately withdraws into his large, protective shell whilst Triangle Man attempts to jettison himself into another pool. As he quickly leaps upwards, he is shocked as the large blastoise manages to strike him with a beam of water. Knocked further away from the pool, Triangle Man hits the ground below, still soaking in poisoned water. Satisfied, Tanqua emerges from his shell and readies his next attack; however, Triangle Man angrily stares into the leviathan's eyes. A bit weary, the blastoise slams his right foot onto the broken arena floor and causes a sudden rippling sensation, which knocks the pirhanna around a bit. The force isn't as powerful, but it's still effective. Triangle Man, still a fish out of water, then summons into the aquarium a very cold wind. Tanqua becomes chilled, but being a water pokémon, the effects of the small snow storm aren't as effective.

Let's go by the assumption that swift won't hit us - after all, if Tri-Man's in a tank, the swift stars would shatter the tank before they could reach you.

It's drowsy, so try and grab it as soon as you can. Use seismic toss to hurl it into the ground and follow by using a weak hyper beam into it. If it gets into a tank, just fire a water gun to shatter the glass (with reference to Blastoise' Pokedex here) and relax.

Chris smirks to himself before calling out his next barrage of attacks, "Let's go by the assumption that Swift won't hit us - after all, if Tri-Man's in a tank, the swift stars would shatter the tank before they could reach you. Triangle Man tries once more to quickly leap into the tank; however, because he is drowsy, his attempts are slower than usual. He manages only to leap directly into Tanqua's arms. The large sea turtle (argh!) proceeds to hurl the slippery fish into the wet, damaged floor below. Triangle Man is about to try once more until he gets struck with a sudden blast of the blastoise's weak Hyper Beam. Very weak, and very tired, Triangle Man summons up a great deal of energy and quickly leaps into a small tank where he rests for a bit. A few seonds later, he then fires a quick volley of five swift stars. The quickest way to any given location is the straight line, so the five stars each collide with the tank's glass siding; three of them disappear, but the last two manage to break through and scratch along Tanqua's left knee, causing her wound to open up. Water comes gushing out of the small tank, but not enough to shatter the entire glass. Eventually, Triangle Man will once more be a fish out of water.

Triangle Man must be quick, otherwise the small pool that he calls home (for now) will completely drain away. Chris 2.0 readies his next set of commands, "Good work, Tanqua," but not before congratulating his tortoise, "Stay in your shell and use another Rapid Spin + Water Pulse combo to keep the fish at bay. Then relax. If he gets too close, use Flail."

"Triangle Man," says TBA, "use an Ice Beam to seal the hole. Then, just chill for the rest of the round."

Without hesitation, the large pirhanna shoots out a beam of ice which darts through the warmer water like a bullet. It manages to engulf the hole, keeping at least some of the water within. However, Tanqua, withdrawn in his shell defensively, proceeds to spin around rapidly (hence the name). Whilst the large hermit spins around and around, several barrages of water are shot out, which each collide in various places - most notably, the aquarium. A few good shots managed to crack the ice around the hole, which is still covered in ice. A few more good shots may very well shatter the hole thing completely. Satisfied, and tired, Tanqua draws himself out of his shell and waits patiently for master's orders.

Grey muses for a moment; "We've been listening to this Japanese butt-rock for over a month now." Grey then proceeds to hit the "Next" button on his mp3 player. "Last Dinosaur", by the Pillows plays. More Japanese butt-rock, but at least it's by the Pillows.

Meanwhile, TheBlueAvenger proceeds to call forth his next attacks, "Okay, Triangle Man, Swagger, then just chill. If more cracks open up, Ice Beam 'em, or if the whole thing shatters, just Agility into another tank."

"Yawn to avoid the Swagger and to make Triangle Man drowsy. Next fire a glob of Toxic into the water and use Ice Beam to freeze over the top of the tank so Triangle Man cant get out."

Just as the words leave his trainer's lips, Tanqua proceeds to yawn wildly; Triangle Man's daunting taunting falls on deaf ears as his large adversary ignores them. The carvahna then becomes quite tired, and decides to relax a bit. Meanwhile, Tanqua shoots from his hydro pumps a very large glob of acidic goo which fall into the water. Heavily watered down, the toxins manage to poison Triangle Man once more. To seal the deal, so to speak, Tanqua then fires another cold beam of ice to solidify along the top of the pool, shutting Triangle Man inside.

Oh, and I'm assuming Tri-Man cannot use refresh? Refresh sheds skin, but the poison is in the water which is passing through Tri-Man's gills, so it cannot be shed per se.

The way I reffed it in the tourney was that he was able to shed the poisons from within, but because he was taking in the oxygen, he still took damage (1% each round).

The trainers called out their respective attacks, and because Grey is feelin' mighty lazy, he's not going to type them out. Take that!

Tanqua starts the round by withdrawing back to his heavily defensive state; whilst the large hermit relaxes, Triangle Man, wondering why he cannot do the same, faithfully follows master's orders and angrily slams his body into the icey prison that keeps him locked in the poisoned water. Bashing it a few times causes some damage to the carvahna, but he must take it to free himself. A few more hits, and the ice is successfully broken through. Triangle Man then swims to the bottom of the pool to gain some momentum. However, at this time, Tanqua had already noted the escape plan and readied himself justly. Waiting just the right moment, Tanqua waits for Triangle Man to jettison himself out of the pool; firing another beam of ice, Tanqua manages to tag the fish at the tail. Triangle Man, though cold, still manages to sail through the air and land safely into the last pool. Tanqua sighs before retracting back to his safe position; Triangle Man then finishes the round, quite tired, and quite ached, by summoning a large tsunami from his fresh tank. The force of the water manages to both knock over his tank as well as the poisoned one, flooding the aquarium. Fortunately for Triangle Man, he is still able to swim about; however, the poisons from the water weren't able to do much harm to Tanqua whatsoever, him being inside his shell and all.

Still mighty lazy.

As the water around him slowly drains away, Triangle Man gathers all his marbles and leaps forward with his teeth showing; however, as he makes his great leap, Tanqua manages to surround himself in a golden veil whilst still inside his shell; Triangle Man bashes himself into said veil, and then quickly pulls himself back together. The protective spell shattered, TBA's carvahna jumps as high as he can, but still unable to find a tender spot to latch his teeth into. He settles for the outer rim of the blastoise's shell, which isn't as soft as he would've hoped. Annoyed, Tanqua pulls himself out of his shell and flails about in an attempt to remove the creature. Unfortunate, Triangle Man's grip is nasty, despite doing hardly any damage to the creature. Sighing, Tanqua wraps his hands around the pirhanna and rips him off his shell, causing quite a few scratches. With one last grunt, Tanqua tosses the the water a few inches into the air, then proceeds to punch him with his large, blue fist. Triangle Man smacks into wall, where he then faints from the force of wall as well as the poison.

Yup... still lazy.

Triangle Man lays weakly in the water as Avenger recalls him into his poké ball. Putting the ball back where it belonged, Avenger tosses a similar one into the aquarium. Emerging from the white light was Sedgewick, a particularly shiny collection of koffing that hover a few feet into the air due to the amount of gas spewing from him at any given second. Upon seeing the "fresh meat", Tanqua immediately attempts to make the gas bomb drowsy. Yawning loudly, he is annoyed to hear a retalliated screeching noise. No one's sleepin' now, it would seem. Sedgewick then closes his eyes as several identical copies of him enter the arena. Not sure whom to target, Tanqua blindly shoots a collection of water at the closest one. Unfortunate, the weezing dissappears as the water sails right through, splashing on the already growing collection of water on the ground. Finishing out his round, Sedgewick proceeds to shoot off a highly venomous glob of whatever he pleases. The bomb sails through the air before slapping Tanqua's torso, causing some unneeded damage. Taking another blind shot, Tanqua fires an Ice Beam at another weezing, this time managing to strike him. Sedgewick, the real one, is shocked as his several clones dissappear without a trace.

The large gas bomb begins the round with several retorts about how Tanqua's mother's really a snorlax; however, the taunts fall on deaf ears as the massive shellfish easily roars over them. Annoyed, Sedgewick then closes his eyes, seperating his body into several different clones; ten, to be precise. Totalling eleven, the weezings just hover over the various puddles in the arena, waiting to take the damage from Tanqua's inevitable attack volleys. Very tired, Tanqua attempts to him them all with a very widespready shot of blizzardous winds. The freezing ice is blown about, causing the several clones to vanish. This causes Sedgewick to be annoyed once more, however is unable to counteract. Very tiredly, Tanqua yawns once again, in hopes to make the gas bomb drowsy.

The final round for Chris 2.0's blastoise; Tanqua, very tired, and ready to collapes, brings forth the rest of his energy; meanwhile, Sedgewick, eyes much heavier than they were before, tries desparately to pull off his master's order before he gets hit; unfortunately, it doesn't take long for Tanqua to ready herself. Fully charged, Tanqua submits a powerful collection of water, colliding with the weezing, sending him back into a wall. No longer asleep, Sedgewick is about to counter, however, his opponent is already down for the count.

Casino: This place is run-down and tattered, with rows and rows of jackpot machines with little or no payout. If the machines are hit, they can release coins similar to a payday attack (in terms of power, size, damage). There are also blackjack tables littering the area, a beautiful fountain for water Pokemon, and dead plants in old, chipped pots.

Chris 2.0 congratulates the fatigued blastoise before withdrawing him from the battle. Rummaging through his bag, he then finds the perfect candidate. Tossing the ball into the arena, it splashes the poisoned waters upwards. Luckily, no one was hit. Emerging form the red and white colored poké ball is the rather large looking creature, a claydol. Terapupa, as dubbed by it's trainer, spins about like an unwanted Hannakuh toy before instantly disappearing at master's command. Reappearing in the sin-filled casino of the abandoned city, Terapupa awaits his opponent. Sedgewick, not knowledgeable in the arts of teleportation, slowly hovers through the city whilst the trainers (and the referee) follow suit. It takes a few moments, enough for the claydol to regain his energy, for the four to enter the casino, where the real battle begins. Sedgewick then begins to annoy his foe, taunting him menacingly; however, this enrages the large creature; the claydol then closes his several eyes, picking up one of the discarded blackjack tables and hurling it at the gas bomb. "Wee...zing," cries Sedgewick as he gets pelted by the large table; the weezing then inhales deeply before sending a blast of flamethrower towards the large, clay creature. Terapupa is roasted by the flames, but remains calm as he sends his own energy beam towards Sedgewick. The psychic energy collides with the poison pokémon, causing a great deal of damage.
