Heh, figured it'd get leaked by the end of the week.

According to this thread, Miyamoto made sure to point out that Link wasn't carrying a sword. Interesting, especially considering the seemingly conflicting comment that the game's controls will be based on the swordfighting and archery in Wii Sports Resort.

It's not really conflicting if you think about it. In Zelda you normally spend a lot of time hacking away randomly with your sword. It could get really tiring doing precision slicing and dicing with Motion Plus. So it could mean less of an emphasis on swordplay compared to earlier games in the series. Also another theory I was thinking is maybe it will be like the gameboy games where you can choose to not have a sword equipted. And then finally it's just one piece on concept art it could very well mean nothing.

I think that thing with Link looks like a Zora.

Oh god, I hope they don't put even more water-based dungeons in the game. In OoT, MM and TP, those were the WORST dungeons in the entire game.

You didn't like the Lakebed Temple? Come on, that temple was easy once you figured out what to do! Now the OoT Water Temple, that was a nasty dungeon.

I wasn't saying they were hard, they were just poorly designed and infuriating to play through, although I might just be biased against all water-based dungeons after the hell hole that was the Water Temple.

I think it's the latter considering EVERY water temple in Zelda games I've played has been shit. OoT and TP were insanity-inducing. MM I haven't played, but it sounds hellish as well. ALttP's water temple was a pain in the ass that I needed a guide just to access. And about 75% of TWW is the sailing that everyone just LOVES to death...

...All things considered, Zelda games and water don't get along very well.

Samba de Amiga! Yes- that horrible monkey game which replaced NiGHTs on their list of things to do, making it backwater history (insert sad face) Haha, but that's what I meant by waggle. They're sorta waggle. Not really, rawr.

That art is so bad ass. It kind of looks like fingerprints, the way it was painted. I love it. I'm a great lover of cover art...They say a Zelda game would sell even if it was a blank box.

While that is true, they never get gimpy in that department. Cover art. They're all so good!

The article shows some journalists who got to check out Project Natal. Interesting read. The article notes that playing the human breakout game it worked fine. There was also a version of burnout paradise running that the Microsoft guy had running just fine but the person demoing it had trouble steering. It also notes how the room is set up as to not have much interference.

This hasn't been confirmed by any credible source, but the female figure with Link seems to be...

Well... ...she seems to be the Master Sword! o_o

Compare the blade of the Sword with her hat, the gem in the sword's hilt and the brooch on her chest, the color and shape of her waist/belt-thing with the color and cut of the Sword's hilt, the winglike dress and the Hyrulian coat-of-arms wings on the hilt, and the fishnet pattern of her leggings and the criss-crossing bands of the Master Sword's handle...

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this but Scribblenauts (VIDYA) looks amazing. It's games like this I bought the DS for. Will Wright, take note: THIS is how you make a game in-depth.
