With her foe fast asleep, Tudor decides to give strength to the sun [ -7PP Tudor / Sunny Day activated ]. Mawile, meanwhile, endures... nothing at all.

With the sun shining at full strength, Tudor let's rain down a beam of pure solar energy that strikes Mawile; the attack doesn't even seem to phase her [ -8HP Mawile / -9PP Tudor ]. Mawile subconsciously murmurs, creating a lasso out of vines and using it to trip up her foe. The damage is... minimal, to say the least [ -1HP Tudor ].

Tudor unleashes another solar beam [ -8HP Mawile / -4PP Tudor ], running out of energy completely. Mawile retalliates with a mega kick this time, causing much more damage this time around [ -9HP Tudor ].

Tudor is forced to relax to regain lost strength as Mawile, still snoozing, slaps him with a muddy paw [ -1HP, -10% Acc, +10PP Tudor ]. Mawile then strengthens her resolve with a swords dance [ +20% Atk Mawile / +10PP Tudor ]. With her attack now increased, Mawile lunges forward and bashes her foe in the gut with a powerful headbutt [ -7HP, +10PP Tudor ].

Mawile awakens from her slumber just in time to be pelted with four leech seeds that're connected with Tudor [ +4% Lch Mawile / -5PP Tudor ]. The steel trap pays it little attention, and instead retalliates with a venomous snap [ -5HP Tudor / -3PP Mawile ].

With the sunlight still strong, Tudor takes advantage of it and lets solar energy rain from the skies. The damage, while still high, is deafened by Mawile's steel plating [ -8HP Mawile / -6PP Tudor ]. The snap dragon again retalliates, this time with an icy fist [ -11HP Tudor / -5PP Mawile ].

Tudor summons another solar beam just as the sunlight goes away [ -8HP Mawile / -6PP Tudor ] while Mawile responds with another poison fang [ -5HP Tudor / -3PP Mawile ].

The round ends, and Tudor's leech seeds syphon away some health [ -4HP Mawile / +4HP Tudor ].

Round 23
Tudor, running out of options, flings a sphere of ethereal darkness at her iron foe. The ball connects, exploding on contact [ -5HP Mawile / -6PP Tudor ], all the while dealing little damage. Mawile smirks before retalliating with an ice punch, dealing considerably more damage [ -11HP Tudor / -5PP Mawile ].

Tudor, feeling exhausted, extends her final move -- another shadow ball that connects, dealing minimal damage once more [ -5HP Mawile / -6PP Tudor ], right before getting bit by Mawile's trap [ -5HP Tudor / -4PP Mawile ]. Tudor faints, and Razor Leaf, for the first time this battle, loses a pokémon.

Round 24
Dan and Papa begin the fourth battle by summoning their respective pokémon -- Castor, a bibarel, and Aquablade, a piplup. Castor, quite simple, begins the battle by curling up in a ball and increasing his defenses quite nicely [ +10% Def, -3PP Castor ]. Aquablade, meanwhile, gives the bibarel a nasty venom gift that connects and immediately begins sapping away his strength [ +3% Tox Castor / -5PP Aquablade ].

Castor uncurls himself and grabs onto a vine hidden in the arena -- he handles it well before wrapping it around the piplup's tiny leg, tripping the bird up quite nastily [ -6HP Aquablade / -3PP, -1HP Castor ]. The piplup pulls himself back together before summoning a raincloud to hover above him, creating a regeneration effect [ +3% Reg, -5PP Aquablade ].

Castor, already feeling ill from the poisons, curls up in a ball and starts trampling over the arena swiftly before crashing into the penguin [ -6HP Aquablade / -3PP, -1HP Castor ] as said penguin prepares for the next round by summoning a volley of clones [ +75% Eva, -6PP, +1HP Aquablade ].

Round 25
Aquablade begins preparing for his next round when... what's that? Castor's giving him the finger! Blade puts all planning aside and angrily charges toward his opponent with his clones in tow. He lassos the beaver with a grassy vine and trips him up, causing great damage [ -8HP, -2PP, -1HP Castor / -6PP, +1HP Aquablade ].

Castor smirks wildly before flinging several throwing knives at his foe -- all made of electricity. They devour Blade's clones easily before homing in on the real thing [ -9HP, -75% Eva Aquablade / -4PP, -2HP Castor ]. Blade retalliates by pounding his foe in the most adorably angry fashion ever [ -11HP Castor / -5PP, +1HP Aquablade ].

Castor now utilizes the toxins in his body for his final attack of the second round: Facade. He charges the tiny penguin before clotheslining him into the ground for powerful damage [ -11HP Aquablade / -4PP, -2HP Castor ]. Aquablade pulls himself together and ignores his orders -- instead choosing to swat at his foe to relieve his anger [ -3HP Castor / -1PP, +1HP Aquablade ]. His rage finally subsides.

Castor begins round 26 by hurling a series of electric daggers at his penguin opponent [ -9HP Aquablade / -4PP, -2HP Castor ]. Aquablade shrugs off the hit before striking with a powerful punch [ -10HP Castor / -5PP, +1HP Aquablade ].

Aquablade trips up his foe with another grass whip [ -7HP Castor / -6PP, +1HP Aquablade ] just as Castor tackles him harshly [ -11HP Aquablade / -3PP, -3HP Castor ].

The third act plays out exactly as the first one did [ -9HP, -5PP, +1HP Aquablade / -10HP, -4PP, -3HP Castor ].

Castor runs over to Blade and places his hands on the penguin's head. Blade attempts to protest, but after just a few seconds, he forgot what he was doing and why he was even in the battle at all [ -7PP, -3HP Castor / +1HP Aquablade, Brick Break forgotten ].

Feeling successful, Castor strikes the forgetful water pokémon with a bolt of lightning that deals incredible damage [ -14HP Aquablade / -7PP, -4HP Castor ]. Aquablade cries out before leaping upwards and drilling into the beaver with his tiny beak [ -7HP Castor / -6PP, +1HP Aquablade ].

With the attack he was ordered to do still out of his memory banks, Aquablade is a sitting duck [ +10PP, +1HP Aquablade ] as Castor strikes with another lightning bolt [ -14HP Aquablade / -7PP, -4HP Castor ].

Castor flings out another shock wave that damages the piplup greatly [ -9HP Aquablade / -4PP, -4HP Castor ], but Blade responds with a powerful duo of attacks (which would've been a trio if he could remember what the third attack was) -- a swift, watery uppercut that deals less damage followed up immediately by a powerful drill peck [ -5HP + -6HP Castor / -11PP, +2HP Aquablade ].

With just an ounce of health left, Castor lets loose a final thunderbolt that collides with Aquablade, fainting both water pokémon [ -14HP Aquablade / -7PP, -2HP Castor ].

Round 4 is a tie -- Razor Leaf chooses his pokémon next.

Round 29
The generation-spanning battle comes to a near close as challengers Razor Leaf and Papabopp select their final pokémon and referee Greyfox starts reffing in his new style. Leaf summons his tiny electric tarantula, Faraday, while Papa elects to have an evolutionary advantage by calling forth his unnamed scrafty. The battle begins as the two pokémon lunge forward--

Faraday is faster, but not by much, and spits out an acid that splashes against Scrafty, making the otherwise nimble fighter quite stuck. With his ability now compromised, Scrafty retalliates with a fiery blow, striking Faraday with a fire punch.

FARADAY : -3PP, -11HP // @Shed Skin, -5PP : SCRAFTY

With his opponent unable to shed his skin, Faraday is now free to demobilize the opponent with a snapping thunder wave. Scrafty's muscles are locking, and his movements are much less fluid than they were, but he still proves capable as he summons a rock slide to trample his bug opponent.

FARADAY : -5PP, -11HP // +25% Par, -5PP : SCRAFTY

Faraday is taking quite a beating, but still he remains poised as he spits another batch of acid at the fighter, poisoning him greatly. Scrafty's body begins to sweat, but still he is able to hit Faraday with another fire punch.

FARADAY : -5PP, -11HP // +3% Tox, -5PP, -1HP : SCRAFTY
