After some long and boring and uneventful flying, you reach the ocean, and after some more long and boring and uneventful flying, you see Triangle Island straight ahead of you. You touch down on a pebbly beach on the island's north shore. The shoreline extends both eastward and westward.

"I do not recall which way will take us to Manaphy's cave," Elegance says, taking over from Vigilance. "Either we pick a direction or ask some of the locals."

The only local you see is an Inkay, who appears quite odd.

You decide you've had enough of Inkay. You hop aboard Vigilance/Elegance, who brings you back up into the sky. You soar over the western side of the island, which is hilly and green. Scanning the ground below, you see no signs of the supposed Legend hunters. Vigilance/Elegance then heads eastward, which is decidedly rockier. You find yourself flying over a large, rocky cove which towers high above the ocean. Squinting, you see four figures rappelling down the side of a cliff toward the tossing waves.



Down below, right at sea level, you see the mouth of a tunnel heading into the face of the cliff. Perhaps this is Manaphy's cave? However, it seems to be guarded by something... very, very large.

You locate a safe-looking nook in the side of the cliff some thirty feet to the right of the rappelling Legend hunters and roost there. They seem too busy with their predicament to pay any attention to your arrival.



"Charles, check the map!" the woman says. "It mentioned the Octillery guard. Does it say anything about beating it?"

"One sec!" the man replies, trying to reach for something out of his backpack. However, doing so while rappelling proves to be a difficult task; he largely just winds up flailing there rather awkwardly.

"Oh, to hell with it," the woman says. "Blaziken, use Solar Beam!"

Blaziken begins to glow as it charges up natural energy. It releases the power in a colossal blast, which strikes Octillery's head and does essentially nothing. However, Octillery looks mad. It peers upward and starts firing massive Octazookas at the side of the cliff.



None of them hit the Legend hunters, but the cliff does start to shudder violently and a few rocks tumble downward and splash into the ocean. If this keeps up, you're not sure how much longer you'll be able to hold your footing.

You decide to wait just a wee bit longer to see how this pans out, which proves to be a wee bit too long. Octillery's next Octazooka wallops the cliff hard, causing loose debris to slide around you. You lose your footing and fall. With a splash, you soon find yourself submerged under the water. You frog-kick back up to the surface and inhale deeply. Octillery is peering over you, alarmed by your sudden presence.



It grabs you with one of its gigantic tentacles and pushes you back under the surface. You're pinned to the ocean floor.

You leave Ivysaur dozing in the shade and head inside. You see that the Feizhi Outpost Academy of Knowledge is not a museum at all but rather some kind of institution of higher learning. Small clusters of Pokemon engaged in deep conversation make their way through the foyer. You stroll through the building and encounter a number of empty classrooms. Classes must be over for the term.

Eventually you find the library, which is rather crowded with Pokemon completing their end-of-year assignments and studying for finals. You see numerous shelves of books scattered every which way and a staircase leading up a floor, which makes you think there must be even more books in this building than you see before you. Close to the entrance you see an old-fashioned card catalogue. You also see some computer terminals at the back of the room. Finally, in the very middle of the room, you see the reference desk where a Durant stands ready to answer questions.



A number of Pokemon turn their heads in interest when they see Animikii. It's not everyday you see a Zapdos. Animikii gives them a feeble wave.
