You thank Drilbur for his time and rush out of the facility and head towards the quarry. It's not to taxing of a journey, however, just time consuming.

The sandstorm finally quells, just in time for Bugg to latch onto Trapinch one last time and siphon away at his health. He struggles to break free, and as he's distracted, you lob the red-colored poké ball at him. It connects, and sucks him inside quite easily.

Follow him underground, Jeremiah. Grab a clod of dirt and then switch items with Trick.

Oslo Jr., if you see Dwebble surface, catch him off-guard with a Hidden Power.

Buggernaut mutters something under his breath (possibly about being a tenured professor and having no less than six Lifetime Acheivement Awards from the Pokémon Institute of Higher Learning) but ultimately dives into Dwebble's hole to prove himself to you.

But as he leaps in, he realizes that this hermit crab is much faster than he'd come to realize. Oslo, Jr., meanwhile, hovers at the ready, prepared to make a move at the first thing that pops out of the ground.

Although he's quite uncomfortable under the surface, it's actually quite easy for him to catch up to the burrowing Dwebble, who has kept the poké ball safe in his homely shell. This might prove to be a bit more difficult than you'dve thought.

Okay, Oslo Jr.... use Hidden Power to blast away the sand and reveal Dwebble.

Yo, crabskies. I know this must be hard since I just caught your friend and everything, but running away with the Pokeball isn't going to change that. I just really like Flygons, see, and if he trains with me your friend will get the opportunity to evolve into one... which I'm sure he must want because flying is probably very awesome. So. Will you hand over the Pokeball? Pleaaase?

The O-shaped unown takes careful aim before firing off a powerful ray of dark energy at the ground. What can only be described as a fire of blackness rips through the ground, caving in Dwebble's tunnel.

Both bug pokémon emerge from the trench quite worn, and you adress Dwebble with a stern look, wanting to show him that you're confident, and that Trapinch's best place is with you.

Dwebble cries out sorrowfully, and reaches inside his shell for the sealed poké ball -- but before you can fetch it, a large creature swoops down and snatches the bug pokémon right off the ground--

Pelipper might be looking for a battle, but you're clearly not. Tweety doubles back a good distance to give herself enough clearing while the professor cheers her on from afar. This enchantment gives your bird the confidence to charge forward -- she collides with Pelipper with enough strength to knock the hermit crab from his grip.

As he falls from the air, the red poké ball drops as well, and Bugg catches it in his arms whilst Tweety dives down to rescue him.

Bugg tosses you the ball as you depress the button... finally!

    Congratulations! You caught trapinch!

But it doesn't look like this story is over, not at all. Pelipper glares, ready to attack.

    Skyline Terrace
A strange town, all within the treetops. Long since abandoned by humans, the MASSIVE amount of Pokemon that live here all seem a bit strange and off kilter. The completely aerial town is connected by boards, and the homes all resemble traditional Japanese style. One would think the townspeople were turned into Pokemon here!

    Round ONE SEVENTY-ONE
You give your trust to Gin as he moves forward through the treetop village.

    And you wait.

    And wait.

    Aaaand wait.

Twenty minutes go on, and you hear nothing from your ghost pokemon. You begin fearing for the worst...

    What's your next move, Ghosts?

    Stay put.
    Go in after him...

I'm gonna stay put for another twenty minutes. If he doesn't return by then, I'll go look for him.

    Crush Quarry
A dangerous quarry home to Rock and Ground types. Footing is loose, and there's always work being done. A few Fighting types and some rare Steel types also make their homes here.

    Round THIRTY-NINE
Squish, tired as she is, remains loyal to your cause as you both wander through the quarry looking for any sign of water. With the area being like it is, though, you begin to wonder if they were telling you the truth at all.

As you wander northward, you spot a few pokemon around -- perhaps they could lead you in the right direction?

    What's your next move, Ayeun?

    Ask them for help.
Ignore them and find your own way.

You remain calm despite Gin's lack of return, and give the ghost pokemon another twenty minutes.

Those twenty minutes go on, and you have yet to hear from him... now it's time to worry.

    Round FIFTY-SIX
    THE DETERMINED HERMIT
    Nobuo Uematsu - Run!

Tweety backs away from the troupe as you all run; she climbs higher into the air, right up to Pelipper's level, and beats her wings heavily. In the ensuing chaos, her wingbeats create enough wind to volley the aqua-bird several feet away -- into a few tree branches. Ouch.

Meanwhile, you and your troops hightail it away from there, while Dwebble hides away from this entire business entirely. You don't let it get to you, however, and eventually your off-colored swellow returns to your side, albeit a little tired.

    What's your next move, Oslo?

    Keep moving.
    Turn and finish the job!

I'm going to keep going up the beach in search of spare fishing rods or a stick we can convert into one.

Tweety, if Pelipper comes back, hit it with another Whirlwind!

Alright I'm going after him. Alex, come out! Start that Snow Warning of yours to unleash a mild blizzard so I sneak around unnoticed. We need to get Gin back.
