pretty good chapter. yay Taillow evolved! It was good to see Aipom battle. LOL the next chapter sounds like its going to be hilarious! Keep up the good work.

EDIT: Oh yeah you have to change your sig's current lineup pokemon thingy. You have to change Taillow to Swellow, and swap Carvana for Aipom.

That was a good gym battle! Swellow did really well and I am glad it evolved. Also Aipom battling was cool to read about. Don't see to many monkeys in gym battles. Keep it up!

Great chapter. The Gym battle was your best so far, and I'm glad Tailow evolved and Aipom got to battle. And as CharizardILG27 said, the next chapter looks like it'll be funny.

Ok, I found a bit of free time, so here is Chapter 37.

Chapter 37: The Great Sleeping Contest! Jeff Vs. Snorlax!

Once again on the road towards the next gym, Mike and co have stumbled upon a vast set of orchards. They had been traveling for hours and the lowland hills of the valley looked like a great place to take a rest. "Let's stop for a bit under these trees!" Amanda said pointing to the orchard. "Also known as trespassing." Jeff said grinning. "Hey, what they don't know can't hurt them." Amanda winked. Mike hadn't said much since their departure from Illucharge.


Amanda sat down on the ground and began to pull out stuff for making lunch. Jeff leaned up against the nearest tree. "Wake me in twelve." He said closing his eyes. "Minutes?" Amanda asked. Jeff opened one eye wide. "Hours you nitwit! I need my beauty sleep!" With that, he was out. Mike walked up to Amanda and sat down. "How you feeling?" She asked. Mike shrugged. "Could be better, but you know." He smiled. Amanda could tell it was fake, but it was better then nothing. "You should give your Pokemon a bit of exercise." Amanda then remarked.


Mike nodded and pulled out his six Pokeballs. With six flicks of his wrist, all his Pokemon appeared. Electrike began to chase its tail, then happily leapt into Mike's lap. Swellow flew onto a branch and peered down. Combusken began to practice its kicking as Aron slept near it. Tangela skipped around the field. It then noticed Aipom. The monkey smiled and began to run. Curious, Tangela ran after.


The two didn't go too far when they made it to a large tree. This tree towered above the others, and what grew on it caught Aipom's attention. The bananas were ripe, bright yellow, and very appetizing. The monkey grinned wide and began to scale the trunk. Tangela began to freak out and launched its vines to grab the insane Pokemon. Aipom saw the vines coming and leapt up. It grabbed a branch with its tail as the vines went by. It giggled a bit then continued to climb.


Near the top was the brightest and juiciest banana Aipom had ever seen. The Pokemon's mouth watered as it extended its tail toward the fruit. Aipom snickered in triumph as it made contact. Tangela began to freak out as Aipom pulled the banana toward it. Suddenly, the monkey was pulled from the tree. The banana had also been grabbed by a very fat and large Pokemon. It opened its mouth to eat it as Aipom began to go insane with fear. It called to Tangela, who rushed in to help it. It sent its body flying in to slam the bulky Pokemon, but just bounced off. Aipom began to cry as it was pulled toward the gapping mouth.


Mike heard the commotion down the orchard. He immediately stood up knocking Electrike off. It yelped as it hit the ground and began to growl. It then noticed its tail wagging next to it and began its endless chase. Mike counted all his Pokemon and realized two were missing. "Aipom and Tangela!" He yelled and rushed off. In the process he stepped right on Jeff's crotch. "OWWWWWWWW!" Jeff roared holding his special area in pain. "Sorry!" Mike called rushing off. Amanda held out her hand, but Jeff didn't take it. He lay sprawled across the ground wincing in pain. "I can't have children now!" He roared. "And that's bad why? One of you is enough." Amanda grinned.


Mike made it just in time. The monstrous Pokemon had the banana in its mouth with Aipom sticking out of its mouth crying like mad. "Electrike, thunderbolt!" Mike yelled. His faithful Pokemon leapt in front and released the massive attack. The Pokemon cried out in pain and spit up Aipom along with the banana. It fell back hard as the ground trembled. "Are you ok?" Mike asked petting his Pokemon. Aipom smiled and hugged the banana. It was full of spit from the Pokemon's mouth, but it was all his. "I wouldn’t eat that Aipom." Mike said, but it was too late. The monkey peeled the spit covered peel off and tossed it aside. In one bite, the massive banana was gone. Aipom turned to Mike grinning. The banana was visible along its mouth.


"Better not choke." Mike smiled. "Actually, it better! That thing ate my prized banana!" A man's voice echoed out. Mike turned to see an old man with a pitchfork aimed at him. "Sorry…" He grinned slightly. Amanda dragged Jeff along the ground. "It's over! Just kill me now!" Jeff wailed. "Jeff, your fine!" She said tugging at his foot. "Never knew you had anything there to begin with!" Jeff shot her a look. "A heck of a lot more then you have!" He roared. From the ground, he turned his head to see the man with the pitchfork aimed at Mike. "Aww, Mike's made a little friend!" He grinned. "Pitchfork his balls!"


The man turned to Jeff and began to laugh. "Letting a woman drag you?" He grinned. Jeff got up. "Beat walking old timer!" He yelled. The man slapped his knee and dropped the pitchfork. "Shut up! I didn't get castrated by a foot to come here and be laughed at by a man that should have died long ago!" Jeff roared. "No need for insults!" The man grinned. "I'll let the banana incident slide as your friend here has given me a good laugh." He then said to Mike. "Mike, you fixed a banana too?" Jeff growled.


Mike looked around the orchard. The large Pokemon was now gone. "Where's that Pokemon?" He asked standing up. "What Pokemon?" The man asked. "There was a large Pokemon eating your fruit when I entered." Mike replied. "Was it Rosie O'Donnell?" Jeff grinned. "No, it was definitely a Pokemon." Mike said glaring at him. "Come to think of it, my orchard has been depleting lately. Wonder if your fat Pokemon you made up has anything to do with it." The man remarked. The trees ahead began to shake. "It must be heading that way!" Mike said pointing. "It heading to town then!" The man said picking up his pitchfork. "What are you going to do, pop it?" Jeff asked. The group ran off into the forest. Mike's Pokemon followed.


They ran threw the orchard for some time. The trees were bent aside and fruit peels littered the area. "My precious crops!" The man cried. "By the way, what the hell is you name? Probably some hillbilly one as your obsessed with you crops." Jeff grinned. I do not have a hillbilly name! It's Jessie Bob Bill!" The man replied. Jeff began to laugh hysterically. The group then exited the orchards at a broken fence. Down the street a bit was a large town. It looked as if a fair was going on as Ferris Wheels and other rides littered the area. Mike and co entered cautiously. "How could I forget? Today is the annual Pokemon Festival!" Jessie Bob Bill grinned. Jeff turned to the dragon roller coaster ride. "I want to go on that!" He grinned. Amanda pulled him back and pointed to the sign. "Ages 6 through 14." She grinned. "I could pass for that!" Jeff replied. "Amanda did a full body scan of him and burst into laughter. "Never seen a 6'5" 14 year old." She smiled. Jeff folded his arms.


"Step right up to see the amazing, the astounding, and the fabulous bulk of a Pokemon…Snorlax!" A voice rang out over the crowd. "That's what that Pokemon was!" Mike cried out. "Then some carnie owes me a new bushel of fruits!" Jessie Bob Bill said rushing towards the announcer. The huge Pokemon sat on a steel enforced platform munching on fruit. "You there carni!" Jessie Bob said approaching the stand. "Yes hili?" The man grinned. "Your Pokemon ate all of my crops. I demand you compensate me for it!" He wailed. The announcer looked at him grinning. "Oh yeah, and what proof do you have?" He grinned. Jessie turned and pointed to the broken fence and the fruit peels. "Coincidence!" The announcer grinned. Jessie then pointed to the Snorlax prints leading from the fence to the stand.


"You drive a hard bargain hili!" The announcer grinned. Jeff began to get bored of the situation. After watching Snorlax consume its own body weight in food, Jeff began to walk away. He then noticed a large pill of the most delicious chocolate he had ever seen… "You see here hili. My Snorlax needs to eat, and your fruit orchard just happens to be the closest spot. You wouldn't want the cutie going hungry would you?" He grinned. Jessie turned to the Snorlax. Fruit juices and puss covered its gapping maw as it continued to eat. "Wouldn’t bother me in the slightest." He replied. The announcer pulled back stunned.


"Is this going anywhere?" Mike asked turning to Amanda. "I don’t think so. Let’s get Jeff and go." She replied. Mike nodded. "Jeff let's go!" He yelled. "Can't now, eating chocolate!" Jeff replied picking up a mound of the delicious candy he found on the ground. "Who would've thought there would be free chocolate here?" Mike turned and wailed. "No Jeff! That's not chocolate!" Jeff put it into his mouth and began to chew. He stopped suddenly and looked disgusted. In an instant, everything that was put in his mouth came out. "Sick!" He wailed. "What the hell was that?" "That was Snorlax crap." Mike replied laughing. "Somebody should post a sign!" Jeff wailed spitting. He got up and walked towards the two. "Why me?" He asked. Mike waved his hand from the crap breath. "Amanda, give the kid a tic-tac. Oh and Jeff, brush your teeth. They are all "chocolaty"!" Mike began to laugh again as Jeff shot him a look.


Jessie and the announcer were still arguing once the whole mess was figured out. Jeff instantly pushed Jessie aside. "You will pay the man for his fruit, and you will pay me for leaving your Snorlax crap out for people to eat…I mean see!" Jeff roared. The announcer began to smirk. "What's so interesting about watching this Rosanne look-a-like anyways?" Jeff asked. The announcer grinned. "I use it in a little game. People try to out sleep Snorlax for a prize. Tell you what, if you can sleep longer then Snorlax, I'll compensate hili for his fruit and you for eating crap." He grinned. "You're on!" Jeff roared. "Oh and boy, you have some still left on your chin!" The announcer said laughing and pointing. Jeff gave him an angry face and stepped onto the platform.


"No one has ever been able to out sleep a Snorlax, though many have tried. Let us get the clocks ready. The clocks will start once both are asleep." The announcer roared. "This is insane!" Jessie roared. "I know, Snorlax doesn't stand a chance." Amanda said laughing. "The clocks will start in 3…2…" Before the announcer got to 1, Jeff was out. Snorlax fell asleep seconds later and the clocks went on.


Bonnie and Clyde watched the scene from the Ferris Wheel. "Weee!' Clyde yelled as it went up again. Bonnie focused the binoculars and motioned to Clyde. "I heard Snorlax is a very powerful Pokemon. With one like that, we can’t loose!" She said smirking. "Oh, can we bring it on the Ferris Wheel once we catch it?" Clyde shrieked. Bonne rolled her eyes. "Yes Clyde, bring it on the Ferris Wheel and watch as the giant machine's screws unhinge and you fall to a gruesome death as the Ferris Wheel and Snorlax crush you." Bonne replied. "That wasn't very nice." Clyde remarked. The ride came to a stop and Bonnie shoved him off. The two began to make their way to the Snorlax.


An hour had gone by and neither Jeff nor Snorlax showed any signs of waking. Once Jeff had begun to sleep talk, but it stopped after a few minutes. "We're going to be here for the rest of out lives…" Mike muttered. Electrike lay on his lap. Though it was always energetic, the boring situation had put it asleep. Swellow had pecked at Mike's head for the first half hour, but had since fallen asleep as well. Even Aipom was dozing off. Suddenly, the crowd gasped as Snorlax lifted its arm and scratched its head. The judges approached it but signaled that it did it in its sleep. The crowd hushed again. "They find this exciting?" Amanda asked in shock.


Suddenly, a large metal rope was tossed through the crowd. It snagged around Jeff and pulled him off the platform. "You got the wrong thing!" Bonnie roared. "They both look the same!" Clyde cried out. Bonnie looked at the tall and thin Jeff, then to the large and fat Snorlax. "Yes Clyde, exactly the same!" She roared and smacked him over the head. "The crowd knows we're here now. Let's just take the punk and steal his Pokemon!" Bonnie roared. The two began to run dragging Jeff as they went. Surprisingly, he continued to sleep. His head hit a few rocks as they ran, but still he did not wake up.


Mike and Amanda were instantly giving chase. Bonnie and Clyde disappeared behind the tilt-a-whirl and continued their run. Mike and Amanda pushed through the crowd to find them waiting. Slugma and Wooper stood in front of them and Numel and Ludicolo were in the back. Ludicolo made a move for the radio, but Bonnie punched it. "Water gun!" Bonnie roared. Wooper leapt up and shot the blast of water towards the two. Mike leapt left and Amanda went right. "Rock throw!" Cyde followed up. Slugma sent boulders towards the two, smashing them back. Jeff rolled over in his sleep and was caught up in one of the tilt-a-whirl's mechanism. The rope began to twirl with the ride, getting more and more tangled.


"Now Wooper, use AHHHH!" Bonnie shrieked as she was pulled back with the rope. Wooper stared confusedly as Clyde lunged for her feet. The two were pulled into the ride and became snagged in the fencing. "This is so humiliating!" Bonnie wailed. Amanda stepped up. "Go Ralts! Use confusion!" Ralts appeared happy as can be. With a flick of its hand to its head, Team Steam was lifted into the air. Mike then released Tangela. "Razor leaf!" He yelled. The grass Pokemon launched the leaves and sliced the rope in two. Team Steam were sent flying across the park. They landed with a hard thud on Snorlax. The Pokemon yawned a bit, and opened its eyes!


The judges ran up to Jeff who was still fast asleep on the pavement. Drool was now coming from his mouth. They examined him and declared that he was still asleep! Jeff had won! Jessie Bob Bill jumped for joy and picked Jeff up. He slowly came to his senses to realize he was being hugged. Jeff thrust the man away and walked towards Mike and Amanda. "Did I miss something?" He asked yawning. "You out slept a Snorlax!" Amanda grinned. Jeff shrugged. "All in a day's work!"


The announcer angrily handed Jessie Bob Bill the money to pay for the damages to his orchard. He then gave Jeff a crisp 100 dollar bill. "Good job Jeff, we won't be worrying about money for awhile!" Mike said. Jeff began to run down the road. "What are you talking about? I'm spending this on Cotton Candy!" Mike and Amanda began to yell as they chased him. Jessie Bob Bill called out his thanks as they went.


Next Chapter: Chapter 38: Alan Returns! Amanda's Personal Smart Contest!
Amanda meets up with Alan in a small town on their way to the next gym. After the two get into a fight, they decide to hold a personal contest with Mike, Jeff, and the local Nurse Joy as Judges.

That was a funny chapter, Mike was amazing! I dont know anything that could sleep through all of that. At first when you put the preview for this I was thinking it might be short but I was surprised with all the stuff you put in. You didnt make it to boring or anything. I think I like this chapter the best since sleeping is one of my fav things! Keep it up! BTW hope you get modded back into the anime you deserve it!

Chapter 38: Alan Returns! Amanda's Personal Smart Contest!

After a grueling snooze fest in the last town, Mike and friends are now heading on towards the sixth gym. They had been walking for countless days through dry hills and lowlands without stopping. Mike and Amanda trudged on along the trail breathing heavily. "Can't go on, I think we need a break!" Mike moaned. Amanda pulled the Pokenav out. "We're making good time. Mindontrol Town is only several miles from here." She smiled. Mike moaned again and slowly started walking. Electrike happily ran next to him. After crawling through miles of hills he could use the company.


Jeff was a little behind, but he wasn't tried at all. This was because he was mounted on top of Mightyena. "Mush doggy! Onward!" He yelled. Mightyena was panting heavily. "I'm surprised it doesn't maul him." Mike said looking back. Mightyena's legs looked as if they could give way any second. Its tongue hung out as it continued to pant. "You're going to kill it Jeff." Amanda remarked. Jeff shrugged. "Hey, if it can't hold my weight then what good is it." Mightyena began to growl and Jeff petted its head. It calmed down a bit. "Nice doggy!" Jeff smiled.


The group slowly came into Mindontrol Town. It was a very small and peaceful place. Little cottages were spread out over the neighborhood. Mike saw no visible stores, but there was a cottage Pokecenter. The three headed inside and Mike handed his Pokeballs to Nurse Joy. The three then headed towards the center cafeteria. After getting their food, they sat down and began to talk.


"So, how far to the next gym?" Mike anxiously asked. Amanda fumbled with the Pokenav. "That's weird; it doesn't show up on the map. After this island, there is just a large amount of ocean." Amanda remarked. Mike leaned over to investigate. Sure enough, there was no visible city after the current island. "There is a four day ferry that will take us to Sweenate Island, but that is read as the seventh gym." Amanda noted. Jeff was not paying attention at all. He was busily slurping on the pea soup he received at the lunch stand.


"Ha-ha, you must be out of islanders if you don't know where the sixth gym is!" A young voice rang out. Mike and co turned to see a tall and pale boy. His hair was brown and down to his shoulders. He reminded Amanda of someone, but she couldn't put her finger on whom. "The sixth Gym lies in Sitnalta City." He grinned and pointed to the open ocean. "You see this area. Sitnalta City lies under it. You take a submarine ride to the bottom." Jeff stopped eating. "Won't you drown?" He asked. Pea soup littered the sides of his mouth. The boy was disgusted and he had no problem showing it.


"Actually, Sitnalta City is kind of like a giant bio-dome. An air resistant shield covers it. There is only one entrance, and it's highly pressurized." The boy deducted. "How do you know all this?" Amanda asked. "Why, because I just was there getting my sixth badge!" He happily grinned. "Wow, you're a trainer?" Mike asked standing up. "Yep, one of the best. The Name is Gavin." The boy replied. "Cool, the name is Mike, and I'm also a great trainer. I currently have five badges." Mike undid his vest and opened the side. All five badges showed sparkling.


"So in other words, you're still a newbie." Gavin grinned. "What the hell? I have one less badge then you and I'm still a newbie?" Mike roared making a fist. Gavin smirked and shrugged his shoulders. "All the gym's you competed in are what we islanders call the newbie gyms. You don't truly prove you have what it takes as a trainer till you win one from Sitnalta." Amanda recognized Gavin's attitude but she still didn't have a clue picture of who to connect it to. She was then interrupted by a fist on the table. Jeff's pea soup flew into the air and landed in his face. "Thanks Mike!" Jeff said rolling his eyes.


"A match right now!" Mike roared. Gavin began to laugh. "A newbie challenging a skilled trainer such as me? You wouldn't last a minute!" "Then prove it in a one on one battle!" Mike roared. Gavin sighed. "If that's what you wish." He then looked outside towards the arena. "Let's get this defeat on the way." Mike put his hand behind his head and grinned. "First I have to get my Pokemon back from Joy." Gavin fell down anime style.


Mike and Gavin headed off as Jeff cleaned up his mess. Amanda started to exit the table when a familiar person stepped into the cafeteria. His blonde hair was freshly cut, but Amanda knew she couldn't be fooled by looks. Seconds later, a Kadabra hovered in. "Hey, have any of you seen a brown haired boy?" Alan said stepping up. He then noticed Amanda. "Ahh, long time no see!" He let loose a large grin. "Sorry I can't talk further, but I have a twin to find." Amanda suddenly put the two brothers together and realized that's who Gavin reminded her of. "Your brother is battling Mike at the moment." Amanda remarked.


Alan put a hand on his hip. "That boy is always looking for a fight. Let's go get them." He said. Amanda reluctantly followed Alan leaving Jeff to clean himself up. "That's ok; I'll just lick it off!" Jeff angrily roared to them. He got up from the table and slipped on some pea soup that fell to the floor. His face smashed into the tile. "I think I'll wait here!" He yelled from under his crushed nose.


Amanda found Mike and Gavin on opposite sides of the field. Each trainer pulled a Pokeball from their belt. As Gavin prepared to toss it, Alan grabbed his hand. "I've been looking all over for you!" he roared. "Wow, never saw you as a brotherly person." Amanda giggled. Alan turned toward her. "Oh it's on now little lady!" He roared and pointed to the field. Kadabra hovered to the middle. "Hey this is my battle!" Gavin cried out. Alan pushed him aside. "We battle together!" He roared. Amanda turned to Mike. "Mind?" She asked. Mike shook his head. Amanda pulled a Pokeball from her belt and released Ralts. It appeared smiling on the field.


"Still haven't evolved it?" Alan grinned. Mike tossed a Pokeball and Electrike appeared. It chased its tail and yelped as the battle commenced. Alan motioned for Gavin to join in. His brother was pissed, but he reluctantly tossed a Pokeball. A tall purple and black porker appeared on the field. "Say hello to my little Grumpig!" Gavin grinned. Alan rolled his eyes and gave Gavin a smack over the head. "Ow!" He wailed.


"Electrike, start things off with thunder wave!" Mike roared. Electrike let loose the electricity net as the hairs on its back became erect. "Kadabra, teleport away!" "Use bounce Grumpig!" Gavin and Alan roared. Kadabra instantly disappeared. As for the pig; it sprung out on its tail and pushed up. The thunder wave went right under it. "Now use psybeam!" Gavin commanded. Grumpig launched the rainbow beam out at Electrike. "Ralts use confusion to deflect it!" Amanda roared. Electrike stood its ground as the beam suddenly diverted direction.


"Kadabra, confusion it back." Alan roared. What followed was a long process of each Pokemon sending the attack back. Amanda thought for a while, and then had a plan. "We can't get off a hit like this. Mike, have Electrike get out of there. Ralts can handle it." Mike wasn't so sure, but he decided to go along. "Electrike, use agility!" Electrike began to race away as the psybeam was directed back to Ralts. "Get it Grumpig!" Gavin yelled. Grumpig rolled away heading towards Electrike. "Teleport!" Amanda roared. Ralts disappeared as the attack hit the ground.


"Psychic!" Gavin commanded. Grumpig stood in place and closed its eyes. Electrike was lifted from the ground wailing. "Thunderbolt!" Mike roared. The electricity began to build up on the struggling Pokemon. Before Grumpig could release it, the attack let off, shocking it. Grumpig fell back dazed. "Looks like bacon tonight!" Mike laughed. "This isn't over! Grumpig, use rest!" Gavin grinned. Grumpig fell to the ground and began to sleep. "Wow, what a move!" Mike laughed sarcastically. "Electrike, quick attack!" Electrike raced full speed at Grumpig, but what happened next was unexpected. "Snore!" Gavin responded. Grumpig let out a large snore from its nose blowing Electrike back. The Pokemon hit the ground hard, but slowly got up.


Kadabra and Ralts were each attacking and teleporting. No Pokemon was getting a hit. Grumpig slowly awoke as Electrike stood over it. "Can't use snore now can you?" Mike grinned. "Thunder!" Electrike gave a slight smile as the ground under it erupted. Lightning flashed up then came down hard on Grumpig. The Pokemon toppled sideways stunned. "Now while it's paralyzed, use quick attack!" Mike roared. Electrike smashed its body hard into Grumpig knocking it over.


Gavin recalled his Pokemon angrily and eyed Mike. Electrike ran to its trainer and Mike picked it up. "I accept this defeat. Win the sixth badge and you will be greater then me." Gavin said extending his hand. "Wow, that's a change from your brother." Mike said shaking it. Gavin smiled a bit. The two then turned to see Amanda and Alan butting heads. Kadabra and Ralts were staring each other down. "You're the worst contest trainee ever!" Alan roared. "You couldn't appeal your way out of a paper bag!" Amanda roared back. "Let's settle this right now with a private contest. You vs. me right now!" Alan roared. "Fine!" Amanda replied.


With that Amanda grabbed Mike by the vest and sat him down. "Judge number one!" She roared. Mike tried to get up but she pinned him down. A fire welled in her eyes. Alan looked at Gavin, and then saw Nurse Joy walking outside. He grabbed her and pushed her down next to Mike. "Judge number two!" He roared. Amanda looked at Gavin, then to Jeff still lying on the floor inside the center. She walked inside and pulled him up. "Hey I was sleeping!" He roared as she sat him down. "Judge number three!" She glared at her rival. "Let us appeal then!" Alan said stepping toward his Kadabra. Amanda pulled out her pompoms and walked towards Ralts.


Jeff turned to Joy and Mike. "Any idea of what we are looking for?" He asked. "Not the faintest." Mike replied. Nurse Joy grinned. "I am a skilled contest judge. All you need to look for is that each trainer…" "Don't bother explaining it to me. I'll forget by the time you're done anyways." Jeff interrupted her. Alan was up first. He stepped up and bowed to the judges and then to the audience. (Which consisted only of a very mad Gavin.) Nurse Joy watched interestedly while Mike stared at Amanda. Jeff picked at his ear and yawned.


Alan began with having Kadabra teleport. The Pokemon appeared on his head and used future sight. Its eyes glowed and Joy grinned. "Now this kid knows what he is doing." She said to Jeff. Jeff flicked away some ear crud and yawned again. "He looks like a nerd to me. Pokemon are not to be appealed with. You fight with them." He remarked. Kadabra began its spoon bending appeal as Alan tossed more and more. It then teleported to the ground and caught all the spoons with confusion. For the big finish, the future sight struck all the spoons in midair. Kadabra and Alan bowed as only Joy clapped.


Nurse Joy gave Alan a 9.0. Jeff looked to Mike. "I wasn't paying attention. What should I give him?" Mike wasn't listening. He held up his sign. On it was a large 4.0. "Favoritism!" Alan roared. Mike shrugged. Jeff then held up his sign. On it was a large 10. Alan thanked him and walked off. "You gave him a perfect score?" Mike asked glaring at Jeff. "Woops, forgot the decimal." Jeff replied shrugging.


Amanda stepped up to the arena with Ralts by her side. She started her routine with the usual cheering as Ralts did a dance in front. As she prepared for the confusion/pompom combo, a giant explosion occurred. Mike and co turned to see Ludicolo dancing away with the radio. Bonnie and Clyde emerged from the fog keeping the beat. Slugma, Numel, and Wooper all danced around them. "Time to appeal!" Bonnie sang. Ludicolo started to do somersaults as Wooper and Slugma hoisted up Numel. Numel released a large amount of lava from its back and smiled. They all then posed.


Amanda put her hand to her head. Nurse Joy leaned over to Mike. "Must admit their appeal isn't bad." Mike began to snicker. "Their appeals may be good but what follows is just sad." "Ok Pineapple, enough dancing! Let's get that Ralts!" Bonnie roared. Ludicolo did not listen and continued to dance. "Wooper, you know what to do!" Bonnie sighed. Wooper released a water gun knocking the radio away. Ludicolo became enraged. "Pineapple, take your anger out on them!" Bonnie roared. Ludicolo turned and released a barrage of laves at Amanda. Amanda ducked away, but Ralts was blown back.


"Kadabra, use psychic on Ludicolo!" Alan roared. Kadabra lifted Ludicolo in the air, but its rage just grew. The Pokemon broke free and smashed down on the helpless Pokemon. Alan watched as his Pokemon hit the ground and didn't get up. Bonnie began to laugh as Slugma pushed Kadabra onto Numel. "Oh, the table does come in handy!" Bonnie grinned. Clyde sighed. "It's a Numel, not a table!" He roared. Amanda stepped up again with Ralts at her side. "No one interrupts my appeal time!" She roared. "Ralts, use confusion!"


Ralts began to lift Ludicolo, but the Pokemon was too heavy. "Pineapple use tackle!" Bonnie yelled. Ludicolo ran towards Ralts, but the Pokemon teleported away. "Ralts, try hypnosis!" Amanda roared. Tiny rings emitted from Ralt's horn. Ludicolo still charged, but by the time it reached Ralts, it was asleep. "Now dream eater!" Amanda commanded. A Purple orb came from Ralts and went inside Ludicolo. Soon, it came back, making Ralts healthier. "Now Ralts, say goodbye with psychic!" The now powered up Ralts was able to lift not only Ludicolo, but all of Team Steam! They all squirmed and cried out.


"Why o why do we always get taken out?" Bonnie cried. "Maybe because we suck?" Clyde remarked. Bonnie glared at him. "If we suck, then why were we chosen for the mission?" She asked. Ralts then sent the group soaring. Amanda ran to hug her Pokemon, but it smiled and began to glow before she could reach it. "What?" Amanda said in shock. Gavin stood up from the stands. "It's evolving!" He muttered. Ralts grew into a larger Pokemon. Its helmet was now split and it looked as if it was wearing a tutu. "It's a Kirlia!" Alan said in shock. Kirlia blinked a bit, and then hovered to Amanda. It spun around her and grinned happily. "You evolved!" She said and hugged it.


Mike and co were now standing at the edge of the city. Alan walked up to Amanda. "I must admit, though our contest didn't follow through, you seem to be growing as a contest trainer. I hope to face you soon." Amanda smiled and shook his hand. "I'm glad we finally understand each other." She said. Gavin and Mike then shook hands. "See you in the league." Mike remarked. Gavin nodded. Jeff looked around. "Who do I get to shake hands with?" He asked. Kirlia smiled and hovered towards him. It extended its hand and Jeff took it. "You make me feel so wanted!" He grinned. The three then headed off waving as they went.


Chapter 39: Tauros and Miltank! Spring is here!
Mike and Amanda help a girl get her Miltank to fall in love with a Tauros. Meanwhile, Jeff learns about "Pokemon Reproduction"!

Anyways, since I did not get a chapter done today I thought I'd treat you guys to another teaser paragraph from the special chapter I have been working on for about a month now. This will be the greatest chapter I have ever made. Right now it is 15 pages long, but it is divided into 6 parts. I just finished part 4, and this is where the teaser comes from. This chapter will be posted after the 8th gym. More of the storyline will be revealed as the story goes on, but enjoy.

Mike opened his eyes to see his best friend above him. In his hands was a large shotgun. "Natalie saw you dock here. She knew we would come into trouble…Avalanche." He grinned. The man got up and dropped the knife to his side. At this moment, rain began to spatter down to the ground. The drizzle felt nice to Mike, and he just wanted to fall asleep and leave his troubles behind. The rain pattered on the barrel of the shotgun as Jeff kept it aimed. Jeff pulled Mike up with his free hand but did not position the gun away from the sweating man. Mike saw the water begin to rise over the summit. "We'll be drowned in seconds!" He shouted. The boat left for them began to float towards the group. Mike jumped in and called for Jeff. It wasn't a very large boat, but it could get them where they needed to go. Jeff leapt in still keeping the gun aimed. "Do you know the way to Neslin Isle?" Mike said staring at Avalanche. The man nodded nervously. "Get in, and show us the way." Mike then said. Avalanche did as told as the sea enveloped the island.

End of paragraph. As you can see, Avalanche returns. I am only putting minor spoilers in this, the actual story is great.

Anyways, expect the next chapter tomorrow. We may have this huge chapter posted in a few weeks with the way I am going with chapters!

Anyways, I'd like to bring a fact up that I am also beginning to write a non-Pokemon fic. This fic may not be up for some time, maybe not till after Search For Knowledge ends, but it will be a great read and I hope you will read it. This is the basic plot of what my fic will be about. Title- Dawn of Eternal Night
Plot- The jock, the nerd, the tomboy, the cheerleader, the goth, the punk, the prep, the skater, the virgin, the fashion queen, the gay, the comedian, and the rebel. Wow, everything seems great at first. A station by the name of Ink Tv is in desperate need of a show to beat their competitors in ratings. What can they do?
After some plotting, the station has it. Bring together one person each from each social group, all from the same school. But would people watch that? It seems to close to the Real World. They need something to set them apart, and they have found it. On the top of a very large hill lies the Catacomb Mansion. For years it has been abandoned, and no one knows what evils went on inside. Why not bring these people together there to discover its secrets.
Things start out find, except for the bickering of some of the chosen. But when night falls on Catacomb Mansion, something goes horribly wrong. What's worse is that even after making it through the night, no dawn comes, and also the fact that every door and window has been barricaded. There is no way out. Now, every person must work together in order to escape with their lives. Things haunt them in the dark...things that do not sleep...things that do not show mercy. Can the group figure out the secrets of Catacomb Mansion and escape with their lives? Find out when this chilling fanfic starts in mid October...

To the fans! Sorry for not writing in ahwile, just letting you all know that a new chapter will be posted within the next two days. I have been very busy with school, school football, and having my Driver's Test this week. Needless to say I did great this week in school, won the hardest football game our school will have this year, and passed my driver's test!

Haha, I know I said in the next two days, but what I didn't expect was to have 2 lab reports that take 4 hours each and have to study for a History test that I failed anyways. That test was multiple choice, but it was impossible. It was to the point where I was just seeing how many words I could spell with A,B,C,D, and E. (BTW, I'm in a college based History class)


So, I'm guessing the new chapter will be up by tomorrow.

Ok people get ready, the new season of Search for Knowledge is about to start! It's been gone for a month, but the fanfic will finally continue with the last 20 or so chapters plus the special 20 page chapter! The premier of the new chapter could be up tonight or tomorrow morning, depending on when I get it done. He's a few summaries for the next three chapters you will be seeing.

Chapter 39: Miltank and Tauros! Spring is Here!
Mike and co are still heading towards the beach that will take them to Sitnalta City when they stumble upon a Pokemon Farm. While Mike, Amanda, and Aipom try to helo the farmer get his Miltank and Tauros to fall in love, Jeff spends the day with the farmer's wife learning all about how Pokemon...you know..do it....

Chapter 40: The Great Underwater Trench! Legend of Groudon!
Mike and co take a subamarine down to Sitnalta CIty, where Mike meets the gym leader, Marc. After learning that Mark and his assitant Mary used to study underwater trenches with Mike's father, Mike decides to accompany them to the last place they were studying. There, he might just learns some clues of his father's wearabouts and also of Groudon. What he doesn't know is that someone escaped from Jail, someone out for Mike...

Chapter 41: Sitnatla City Gym! Battle both Above and Below the Sea!
Mike faces off against Marc in a 3 on 3 battle for a chance at the Sunken Badge.

Chapter 42: Attack on the Ferry! Delay at Sea!
Mike and co are now taking a ferry to the 7th gym, but Mike's "stalker" attacks the ferry, causing it to start and sink. Can Mike and co escape the Ferry or will they go down with the ship?

Chapter 39: Tauros and Miltank! Spring is Here!

Mike and his friends are still on the road to Sitnalta City, but for now they are traveling on the open road. Kirlia circled Amanda's head hovering happily. Since Ralts evolved Amanda seemed to have a thing for letting it stay out of its ball. "Well now, how far till we reach Hinton Harbor?" Mike asked Amanda. She dug through her sack as Kirlia hovered to Jeff. It grinned and lightly tapped his head. "Oh no you didn't!" Jeff roared and leapt onto the Pokemon.


As Amanda searched through her sack for the Pokenav, Jeff and Kirlia rolled around punching each other. "Here it is!" She said pulling it out. With one final punch, Kirlia hovered away laughing. Jeff held his injured head. "Yeah you better run!" He yelled. Kirlia joined Amanda in staring at the Pokenav. She accessed the map and directed it toward Hinton Harbor. "It's about a day's walk." She said. "There seems to be another Pokemon Farm on the way." Mike wiped some sweat from his forehead and pulled a water bottle from his belt. "Then we better get moving."


Amanda saddled her pack back on and they started down the road again. "Jeff, quit playing and get up." Amanda yelled back as Kirlia giggled. "You know what…I…I!" Jeff began but Amanda just flicked him off. "You dirty lil…" He yelled rushing down the road. It turns out Amanda was right. Just a few miles down the road was a large brown building with a red barn to the side. Mike and co walked along the fence that led to the barn. "Look at all the Tauros!" Mike commented pointing into the fenced area. A herd of Tauros roamed grazing. "And look at all the nipples!" Jeff grinned pointing to the herd of Miltanks who were sleeping close to the barn.


"Very funny Jeff. Those are Miltank." Amanda corrected. "Really? You would think with bodies like that they would show a little less of themselves." Jeff smirked. Amanda rolled her eyes and leapt up onto the fence to get a better look. A tractor pulled up over the hill and began back toward the barn. The man riding it parked it inside and came back out. He noticed the group by the fence and began to walk towards them.


"Can I help you?" He asked wiping the grease from his hands. "No, we were just admiring your Pokemon." Amanda replied. Jeff stepped up. "He can't understand your common tongue." He told Amanda. "Here let me translate for you- Nah, we's was just taking a gander at your perty lil Pokemons!" The man rolled his eyed. "Your friend here is very discriminatory. I wonder if he even knows what that word means." He said laughing. Jeff made a face. "It means I am cool!" He yelled back.


Amanda pushed him off the fence and giggled. "You have some pretty neat Pokemon here." Mike said changing the subject. The man laid the cloth he was wiping his hands with on the fence and nodded. "My wife and I bred Tauros and Miltank." He said. "The name's Calvin." "I'm Mike, and this is Amanda." Mike replied. "You can call that thing Jeff." Jeff brushed himself off. "Well, have you kids ever tried pure Miltank milk?" Calvin asked. Mike and Amanda shook their heads. "Well then how about I give you a sample." He said walking back towards the barn.


"Jeff pressed against Amanda."I don't like this guy. You two can go drink Miltank urine, but I'm heading out." He said and began to walk down the road. Mike and Amanda shrugged and leapt the fence after Calvin. "Stupid farmer peoples!" Jeff roared stamping his feet against the gravel road. He looked back towards the barn to see Mike and Amanda were gone. "Fine then! I'll go on to Sitnalta myself!" He roared and turned to head off. Suddenly, a very large woman was standing in front of him.


"Oh bless my soul, you must be the cutest little hatchery worker ever! I'm glad Calvin called for one. We need a lot of extra help with the Miltank and Tauros eggs." She said grabbing him. "I'm not an egg boy!" Jeff yelled, but the woman made no change in pace. Jeff began to scream as he was pulled into the hatchery. "You see our last hatchery worker disappeared during the night for some reason. Don't think he could handle the work, stupid weakling he was." The huge woman said handing Jeff a pair of gloves. "It really isn't difficult work. All you have to do is take care of the pregnant Miltank, take the eggs when they are laid, and watch them 24/7 till they hatch." She said grinning.


"I can see why he left." Jeff remarked. The heffer of a woman bent down to retrieve a basket. "Wow, two reasons he left." Jeff said turning away. The woman ignored him and turned to hand him the basket. "Well now, let's go tend to some pregnant Miltanks!" The woman grinned. Jeff started to back up, but she grabbed him by the arm and dragged him towards the barn. "MOMMY!" He screamed.


Mike and Amanda cheered their glasses and tried the Miltank milk. It was warm to the lips and went down easy. "This is by far the best milk I have ever tasted." Amanda grinned. "Thanks! It was made by my dear Miltank Bessie." Calvin replied. Amanda turned to see the Miltank happily staring at her. "Why isn't she in the fields with all the other Miltanks and Tauros?" Mike asked.


"Well, Bessie is more of a loner. She is the only Miltank that hasn't found a Tauros yet." Calvin said beginning to mop one of the stables. "Her and big Jim anyways." He then added in. "Who's Big Jim?" Amanda asked. "Why that's my prized Tauros." Calvin remarked. Amanda grabbed Mike's arm. "You thinking what I'm thinking?" She asked. Mike shook his head. "Not really." Amanda shot him a look. "I say we get Bessie and Big Jim together!" She grinned. Mike turned his head and began to laugh.


Along the road trudged Bonnie and Clyde. "Did you know that is absolutely sucks when you get blown away?" Clyde remarked. Bonnie didn't say anything. She began to pace along the fence when she noticed the Tauros herd. "My oh my, look what we have here." She grinned. Clyde looked out over the grass field where the herds roamed. "Give me a home where the Tauros roam!" He smiled. "A whole herd of Tauros would really make our lives easier." Bonnie remarked. Clyde pointed to the barn. "And Miltanks would make it so we never went hungry!" He added in. "Now how to we get them?" Bonnie pondered. She then noticed the radio in her pack.


Mike and Amanda heard it faintly at first, but then it was unmistakable. A radio was being played just outside the barn. "Oh please tell me it's not them." Mike muttered. Amanda peaked out. Sure enough Ludicolo and the Numel were dancing away through the field. She then saw Bonnie and Clyde cheering from the fence as the Tauros and Miltank began to form a conga line behind the dancing Pokemon. "What's going on?" Calvin asked stepping out to find his Pokemon following the radio.


Mike thought fast and with a flick of the wrist, Aipom emerged. It giggled and leapt on Mike's head trying to do a "guess who" game. Mike pulled it off and placed it back on the ground. "Aipom, get that radio!" Mike yelled. Aipom smiled and raced into the field dancing away. "That monkey looks oddly familiar." Bonnie said. "Oooh, dance monkey dance!" Clyde grinned. Aipom sprung up onto Ludicolo's shoulder and used its tail to pry the radio from it. Still dancing, Aipom leapt off and smiled. It took Ludicolo some time, but still dancing, it grew angry with Aipom. Aipom began to freak and rushed off as Ludicolo gave chase. "Pineapple, get back here!" Bonnie yelled jumping the fence.


Aipom ran as fast as its tiny legs would carry it. Soon it found a broad tree and scampered up it still clutching the radio with its tail. Ludicolo made it to the bottom and began to shake the tree. Numel approached and Ludicolo motioned up. With a turn of the head, Numel released a flamethrower igniting the tree. Aipom leapt off and ran towards the edge of the field where it met a hill that lead into a valley below. Bonnie and Clyde had caught up just as Aipom tossed the radio over the fence. "No!" Bonnie roared and grabbed onto Ludicolo. Clyde followed suit and all four team members went sailing off the hill as Ludicolo leapt after "its precious."


Aipom giggled and jumped happily as it waved to the falling group. Mike and Amanda caught up and looked over to see them land in the valley below. "Good work Aipom." Mike grinned. The Pokemon leapt up onto his shoulder. Calvin approached on top of a large Tauros. "I managed to round up the herd." He said. "Is this Big Jim?" Amanda asked. Calvin nodded and leapt off the Tauros. "Well have I got a surprise for him." Amanda laughed.


Jeff was now in a large warm room surrounded by Miltanks who looked very tired. The fat woman was leaning over one and soon pulled an egg and put it in the basket. "See, piece of cake." She grinned. "Now you try. Milky over there is just now going into labor." She grinned. Jeff looked to see a rather large Miltank breathing heavily. "I don't wanna!" He cried. "Nonsense, you wouldn't be a hatchery boy if you didn't want to help a Miltank in labor." The woman replied and pushed him toward the laboring Milky. Jeff sighed and leaned over. "This is by far the sickest thing I have ever done." Jeff said. Soon the egg was present and Jeff shoved it in the basket. He then ran over to the side of the barn to vomit.


As he did, he suddenly heard a small amount of laughter. Jeff looked up into the hayloft to see a young boy. The boy knew he was spotted and ducked away. Jeff climbed the ladder and laughed. "So here's the real hatchery boy!" Jeff grinned. The boy looked scared. "Please don't tell Mrs. Bred I'm up here." He pleaded with tears in his eyes. "I can't take this anymore!" Jeff giggled. "Don't worry I won't." Jeff sad stepping down. Mrs. Bred waddled up. "What's up there?" She asked. "Nothing." Jeff replied.


Mrs. Bred shrugged. "Well then let's go help another Miltank!" She grinned. Jeff looked back up at the hayloft. "I was just kidding; your hatchery boy is up there!" He yelled. Mrs. Bred took to the stairs and found the boy cowering in a corner. "Ephraim, there you are!" She said grabbing the boy by the ankle. Jeff laughed as she dragged him down the ladder. "So this is where you have been for the past three days?" She roared. She then turned to Jeff. "I'm sorry hatchery boy, but I no longer require your services." She said and began to head off. Jeff giggled again and grabbed his backpack. He then headed out of the barn and toward the Tauros field.


Amanda positioned Bessie in front of Big Jim. "This is Bessie. She is a female Big Jim. Why don't you two get acquainted?" She asked. Big Jim snorted and turned away from the barn. Bessie mooed in disgust and went back into the stables. "Wow, you’re a regular cupid." Mike laughed. Amanda shot him a look. Kirlia hovered around Aipom who tried to grab it. Kirlia giggled as it began to hover away. Aipom chased it outside the barn like a dog chasing a butterfly. "I know how to get them together." Amanda said smiling at the two playing Pokemon. Aipom and Kirlia looked confused.


It took some time, but Amanda managed to dress Aipom up in a little tuxedo. "This is humiliating. Do you know how much Aipom's self esteem is going down?" Mike asked. Aipom frowned and grabbed the hat off of its head. It began to chew on it till Amanda stopped it. "It'll work! If Aipom woos Bessie, Big Jim will get jealous." It's perfect!" Amanda grinned. Aipom folded its arms and began to walk off, but Amanda pulled it back by the tail. "Just do it for me." Amanda grinned. Aipom sighed and nodded, then proceeded to eat the top hat again.


Amanda handed the monkey some flowers and pushed it into the barn. Aipom nervously approached the Miltank and fumbled with its bow tie. Bessie rolled over and stared at the tiny Pokemon invading its stable. Aipom made a fake grin and held the flowers out. Bessie sat up and walked towards the frightened monkey. It leaned over and sniffed the flowers, seeming very happy. Aipom sighed when suddenly; its hand was in Bessie's mouth! Aipom freaked as Bessie devoured the flowers. It began to rush away causing the top hat to fall off. Bessie still had hold of its hand, so Aipom smacked the Pokemon with its tail.


Bessie became steamed. Aipom was forced to run again as the cow sped after it. "What's going on? Did it work?" Calvin asked. Aipom shot out of the barn as its dress pants flew off. Now all the monkey still had on was its jacket and bow tie. Bessie came out seconds later and curled up into a rollout. "Oh my god!" Mike yelled and ran after his screaming Pokemon. "Somehow I don't think that worked." Amanda said nervously.


Jeff walked along the fields looking for Mike and Amanda. Suddenly, Aipom came rushing past him. "What the?" Jeff began, but was knocked aside by the rolling Bessie. Mike ran by seconds later. "What's going on?" Jeff yelled. "No time!" Mike yelled back and continued after the two. Jeff dusted himself off as Amanda and Calvin ran by. "Having a bit of a problem?" He asked. Amanda pushed him down again and kept running. "Thanks!" Jeff roared.


Aipom was now sweating hard. It was one thing to be chased by a golf cart, but a rampaging mad cow was by far worse. Aipom then remembered the cliff, the beautiful cliff! It knew it would lead him to salvation from the beast. Aipom turned right and headed toward it. Sure enough, Bessie turned and followed.


Mike and Amanda reached the cliff to see Aipom leap onto the fence that blocked the Tauros from roaming off of it into the valley. It leapt up and down and spanked its rump, happily trying to get Bessie to speed up. At the last second, Aipom flung itself aside and Bessie crashed through. "What on earth?" Calvin yelled. "Bessie!" Suddenly, Bessie was flung back onto the field. In the moment Bessie has crashed through, Big Jim had gotten under her and flung her back up. The Pokemon struggled hard and managed to keep its balance on the field.


Aipom finally got all the clothes off and rushed to Mike. "Bad Aipom! You could've gotten Bessie hurt!" Mike said picking it up. Aipom folded its arms and giggled. Bessie got up slowly and turned to a panting Big Jim. It smiled and put its arm on the Tauros. "Looks like it did work." Amanda grinned. "The two now have something in common."


Amanda and Mike were now back on the road. "Sorry for the trouble Calvin." Mike said embarrassedly as Aipom giggled on his shoulder. Calvin shrugged. "What trouble? Now all my Pokemon are paired up. I should thank your little monkey." He smiled. Mike shook his hand. Suddenly, Jeff came walking toward the group tired as can be. "Thanks for helping me!" He yelled and fell over the fence. Mrs. Bred saw him from her house and waved. Mike helped Jeff up. "Looks like you had a fun day." Mike smiled. Jeff sighed and the group headed off towards the 6th gym…

Now that was a funny chapter! Jeff sure got some action in it lol! I think Jeff and Amanda really like each other because of all the fighting they do. Aipom also gave it some comedy with it being chased by Ludicolo and Miltank. It was a bad day for the monkey and Jeff. Great chapter, and I only noticed one thing,

I think you mean good work, but I found that kinda funny. Keep it up!

Ok, here is chapter 40. There has been a slight title change, but meh. I enjoyed this chapter and I hope you do too.

Chapter 40: The Underwater Trench! A Great Betrayal!

The group was finally there. "Hinton Harbor!" Mike said looking out over the vast city from the top of a hill. Hinton Harbor is mainly an import/export city. Twenty percent of it may be residential, but the other eighty percent is warehouses and docks. Mike began to walk down the hill towards the opening of the city. Amanda followed suit and soon Jeff came tumbling after.

"Well, what are your plans for the day?" Amanda asked catching up with Mike. "Don't know, probably taking the earliest submarine down to Sitnalta City." Mike replied. The sun shown bright above their heads and thousands of Wingull soared above. "I swear if one of those birds crap on me our journey will end with fire power!" Jeff yelled to them while looking at the sky. "Then Amanda and I will continue on whilst you rot in jail." Mike commented laughing.

It wasn't long before the group was taking a stroll along the vast streets of Hinton. They passed a shop owner who was busily sweeping the area in front of her store. Amanda walked by her, and Jeff followed, but stopped just before to look into the shop window. Mike passed him up and started by the woman, but she grabbed him by the collar. Suddenly, confetti and streamers burst from the window Jeff was staring at knocking him down. "Ahh, rainbows! Get them away!" Jeff roared clawing at the streamers.

"What's going on?" Mike asked nervously to the bright-eyed woman. "You're the one millionth person to pass my store, which makes you the lucky winner!" She yelled. Mike was in shock, and Jeff was even more. "I was about to walk by!" He roared. The woman pulled a large basket from just inside the window. "Here you are sonny, a free supply of Pokemon food and an even more impressive present in the middle. Mike peered into the basket to find a special Pokeball. It was black with yellow streaks.

"That there is an ultra ball sonny. If you throw a Pokeball like that, you can count on catching anything. Well, there is a small chance that it won't be, but we're all human now aren't we?" The woman grinned. Mike nodded. "Thanks a lot." He replied. Jeff's mouth hung open. "Me, I should've won the pretty ball. Not you, give it to us!" He yelled leaping for it. Mike pulled the package away and Jeff fell. "Dude, you don't need this stuff anyways." Mike commented. "Yes I do!" Jeff replied. "And why is that?" Mike asked. "Because you have it and now it makes me want it!" Jeff roared extending his arms.

Mike rolled his eyes and ran to catch up with Amanda. Jeff began to whine. The storekeeper sighed and dropped an ultra ball on his head. "If it means that much to you take the damn thing." She yelled shooing him off with her foot. Jeff grabbed the ball and happily strolled down the road. Mike and Amanda stopped at the Pokecenter where he traded in Aipom for Carvanha again. "I'll need this for my match tomorrow!" Mike said. Amanda nodded. The group was now passing through an outdoor restaurant as they headed for the docks. Mike then saw someone he did not expect. Sitting at one of the tables was none other then Matt!

"Hey bro!" Mike yelled. Matt turned and laughed flicking him off. "Hey!" He replied. Mike rolled his eyes. "I like that greeting. I think I'll use it from now on." Jeff grinned. "Hi Amanda!" He then turned and flicked her off. Amanda sighed. "So what's new in your journey?" Mike asked sitting across from Matt. "And I said you could sit down when?" Matt remarked. "Um, you didn't, but what got into you?" Mike asked. "Nothing much." Matt replied. "Where's Kevin?" Mike then asked.

Matt looked away, and then turned back. "That kid was weak. I had to get rid of him." He said. Mike looked a little flushed. "Well wasn't he your tennis buddy with Croconaw?" He asked. "Tennis? Ha, tennis is for wimps. I found a much better hobby then that." He grinned. "Oh, and Croconaw isn't so croco anymore." With that, Matt tossed a Pokeball releasing a Feraligatr. "Wow!" Mike grinned. "Yep, we've got things to do though." Matt said recalling it. With that, he saddled up his backpack and began to walk off. "Not that friendly." Amanda replied. Mike shrugged and started off with Amanda close behind.

Jeff was a little behind as he was admiring his new ultra ball. Matt slipped past him grinning. "So still trying to be a trainer?" Matt asked. Jeff nodded. "Training is fun!" He grinned. "Ha, you'll always be losers then. There is so much more to Pokemon that doesn't involve wasting time." He said and turned to leave. Jeff then saw a hint of a black uniform in his backpack. A small amount of it had a red R…

Jeff turned to his friends and rushed off as Matt ducked into an alley. "I've made contact." He whispered into a radio. "I'm here; you don't need to radio me." A voice called back. Stepping out from behind a dumpster came Avalanche. "You know the deal." Matt replied. "Yes, you help me retrieve you're half brother and you will be promoted to executive." Avalanche grinned. "He can trust you." Matt nodded. "He won't expect it at all. Once we get down to Sitnalta I'll lead him straight into your arms." Matt grinned. Avalanche put his hand on Matt's shoulder. "Team Rocket has such loyal people." He laughed…

Mike was now at the Sitnalta Submarine docks. He handed the employee a 30 dollar bill and received three tickets in return. He handed one to Amanda and looked around. "Where's Jeff?" Mike asked. Amanda shrugged. Jeff came nervously down the dock towards them. "Your brother isn't what he seems." He said approaching them. "What?" Mike asked. "He belongs to Team Rocket." Jeff replied. Mike began to laugh. "Nice one Jeff…how long did it take you to think that one up?" Jeff curled his eyes in disgust. "I'm serious." He remarked. Mike laughed again and handed the ticket to him. "Let's just get to Sitnalta." He said. "But…but!" Jeff wailed, but Mike and Amanda were already heading to the submarine.

After what seemed like ages, the submarine began to sink below the surface. There was a large open window in the front and Mike and co admired the many fish Pokemon swimming by. As a Mantine passed, Mike turned to Amanda. "Who would've thought a whole city could be built underwater." He grinned. Jeff sat in the corner pouting. "Come on Jeff, just because I didn't fall for your joke is no reason to act like a toddler." He said. Jeff sighed and turned his head. "Hey, you don't want to believe me then fine!" He yelled.

After an hour or so, the submarine came upon Sitnalta City. Mike was in awe. Think of something like the Gungan City in Star Wars and you'll have the base of it. Now think of the Gungan city with skyscrapers and other buildings. That is what Sitnalta looks like. The Submarine docked by a clear tube sticking out of the city. Once the tube was hinged to the side, the passengers were able to enter it. After the long track, the doors to the city opened and Mike and co found themselves in the underwater world.

"Well now, I say we get to the gym." Mike grinned. "Well, you could do that, but the gym leader isn't in right now." A woman said near them. The group turned to see a young woman- probably in her 20s. She had long black hair and glasses, but was still very pretty. She was staring out of the bio-dome into the ocean when she turned to greet them. "What do you mean the gym leader isn't in? Where is he?" Mike asked. "He is out there." The woman said pointing out of the dome. Mike and co turned to see a man swimming in the water.

The man was well built. He had short black hair and a wet suit on. In his mouth was one of those air breathers. But what he was doing was even more shocking. The man was surrounded by a pod of Sharpedo. The nearest one bellowed and raced at him, but the man just did a flip and grabbed onto its fin. The Sharpedo desperately tried to shake it off, but the man had a tight grip. "Isn't someone going to help him?" Amanda asked pressing against the glass. "Help hi? He does that for fun!" The woman grinned.

After several minutes, the man swam towards the dome and into the tube. He came inside the city grinning and laughing. "Did you see that? Astounding!" He grinned. The woman rushed up and hugged him. "Yes I did, and these kids were very impressed to Marco." She said. "They thought you were in trouble!" Jeff folded his arms. "Well excuse us if we have never seen a man play with sharks." He yelled. "Actually, it's called Sharpedo wrangling." Marco grinned and held out his hand. Mike shook it. "So you're the gym leader of Sitnalta City?" He asked.

Marco nodded. "Have been for two years now." He replied. "This is my assistant and girlfriend Mary." He then said. The black hair woman grinned and waved. "So what got you into Sharpedo wrangling?" Amanda asked. "Well if you work in the sea you need to know how to defend yourself. Sharpedos can be nasty." He grinned "You see, I'm a Marine Biologist. I study the oceans around here when I'm not at the gym." Mike grinned. "Well I'm Mike Strateri from Bayside City, and I'd like a match!"

Marco grinned. "Wow, a Baysider? I worked with a scientist that moved there…come to think of it he had your last name." Marco said pondering. "You worked with my father?" Mike asked excitedly. Marco nodded. "We did a years worth of deep sea trench studying. He was looking at the underwater vents to gain clues about the Pokemon Groudon. Good man, how is he?" Marco asked. "Well, I haven't seen him since I was three." Mike replied. "He left us…" Marco frowned. "Sorry to hear that. Doesn't sound like him at all…Anyway about that match. I'm sorry to inform you of this, but Mary and I were planning on studying the Gorebyss and Huntail in the area today, but I'd be happy to schedule it for tomorrow."

Mike nodded. "That would be great." He said. "And if you'd like to come with me and the woman, we'd be happy to have the extra help." Marco added in. Mike looked at Amanda and Jeff. "I'm in." Amanda grinned. Mike then turned to Jeff. "What? Since when do you listen to what I have to say?" Jeff asked. Mike sighed. "Sure, we'll come." He said. Marco grinned. "Well, then let's get going."

Mike and co were soon dressed and ready to enter the sea. "Now when I open the hatch, you'll be sucked out of here at a great speed. Just curl up and you should be fine." Marco said. "Should be?" Jeff looked worried. The hatch opened and everyone spilled out. Once they were accounted for, Mary motioned to follow her. Down below was another pair of divers. "There he is." Matt said pointing towards the group. "Good. Now what you need to do is lure him away from the trenches. I'll have a school of Sharpedo waiting with his name on it." Avalanche grinned. Matt nodded and swam off as Avalanche began to laugh.

Up above, Bonnie and Clyde seemed to be having trouble. "The sensors say the morons are right here." Bonnie said. They were on a small sailboat it the middle of the ocean. Suddenly, several Flygons flew down beside them. They each held a Sharpedo in their hands. The nearest one bellowed as it released the Pokemon into the sea like a fighter plane releasing a torpedo. The other Flygons followed suit then flew off. The whole thing happened so fast that Bonnie and Clyde didn't have time to react. "Well now, you don't see that everyday." Clyde said grinning.

In the trenches, Mary and Marco were happily taking pictures of the many Gorebyss they found. Mike was searching the ocean floor out of boredom. It was then that he noticed an object on the ocean floor near one of the vents. It was pretty much buried except for the small part of it that glittered out of the sand. Mike swam down to it and brushed the sand away. There on the ocean floor was a waterproof camera. Mike tried to turn it on, but the batteries were dead. He fumbled with the flashlight on his head and managed to get the batteries out.

Jeff noticed Mike's light go out and headed toward him. "Need some light?" He asked. "Thanks." Mike muttered. He began to flip through the many pictures. There were many of the trench, and Mike began to wonder whose it was. Suddenly, one of the pictures showed a mighty hand. It had large claws and black and red surging skin. Mike was shocked. "Hey Marco, what is this?" Mike asked. Marco swam down to see the picture. "Well all be, you found your dad's research camera!" Marco grinned. "That picture was taken when we were doing research down here. We actually saw Groudon, but in the chaos your father lost his camera. Impressive."

Mike began to flip through the other pictures. He then came one showing his mom holding a young baby in her arms. It was him. "That's me!" He said. Suddenly, he was grabbed and pulled up. The camera fell from his hands and deeper into the trench. "No!" Mike roared. Jeff was chasing after. "It's just me Mike!" Matt grinned letting go. "Did I scare you?" He asked. "No!" Mike muttered fiddling with his suit. "My friends and I were just doing some diving and I thought I'd come say hello." He grinned. Mike nodded. "Hi…" He muttered.

"Anyways, why don't you come meet the group? We're having a blast." Matt grinned. "I really don't feel like it." Mike replied. "Aww come on." Matt grinned. "We can catch up on stuff." Mike sighed. "Fine…" He said and began to swim away with him. Jeff was now angered. He then noticed a large shadow pass by and disappear. "Sharpedo!" He whispered. With a quick sprint, Jeff grabbed onto Mike's leg. "Don't go!" He yelled. Mike kicked him off. "Dude, it's just my brother!" Mike replied. "You don't see it do you? Or do you just not want too? He's leading you into an ambush!" Jeff yelled as tears began to form. "If you go with him you won’t be coming back." He pleaded.

Mike shook him off. "Jeff, I know what I'm doing." Mike said. "Matt has never betrayed me before. I've known him all my life." Jeff pulled away slowly. Mike began to follow Matt again. When Mike wasn't looking, Matt turned back and gave an evil grin to Jeff. Jeff quickly turned back towards the trench. He was out of breath, but managed to find Marco, Mary, and Amanda a little ways away. "Mike's in trouble!" He wailed desperately. Marco was now swimming toward him. "What do you mean?" He asked. "It's his brother; he's not what he claims. He's leading Mike into a trap." Jeff cried. "Let's go!" Amanda roared.

Mike was now in a decently open area of the ocean. "So where's the party?" He asked. "Right here!" Someone yelled. Mike turned to see a man grinning with a harpoon in his hands. Surrounding him were a school of Sharpedo. Their mouths were clamped shut, but Mike knew that wouldn't last. He recognized this man. "You…you're in jail!" He yelled. "Am I?" Avalanche grinned. "Good work Matt." He then said." Mike turned to his brother. "How could you?" He yelled. Matt shrugged. "Hey, I got a hobby just like you and mom wanted." He grinned.

Avalanche pulled the muzzles off of his precious Pokemon group. "Now, enjoy." He grinned. The Sharpedos wasted no time. They blazed straight at their prey teeth prepped. Mike made fists and prepared for impact when suddenly Marco leapt in the way. "Get out of here!" He yelled. The nearest Sharpedo hit, but Marco flung himself up and grabbed onto the fin as he had done earlier. Mike swam towards his friends as the other Sharpedos began to rush.

"Go Starmie!" Mary yelled releasing the Pokemon. "We have to fight! Sharpedos cannot be out swum!" She yelled. Mike turned back. "Carvanha!" He yelled releasing the pre-evolution of the monsters that were attacking them. Amanda joined the fray with releasing Mudkip. Before the battle started, Mike turned to Jeff. "Sorry I didn't believe you…" He said. "Forgiven." Jeff replied.

Matt swam away from the battle and behind the group. With a flick of the wrist, his Feraligatr appeared. "Use crunch on those fools!" He yelled. Mike turned just as Feraligatr was about to reach them. "Get out of the way!" He yelled. Everyone ducked to the side and Feraligatr whizzed by. "Carvanha, use water gun!" Mike roared. Carvanha launched the spurt of water, but Feraligatr didn't seem fazed. The Sharpedo and the other Pokemon were now locked in a match. Mike turned to see that Marco wasn't having the best of luck. He was starting to slip towards the gapping mouth of the shark.

"You want me?" Mike yelled taking off his glove. With immense reluctance, he smashed his breathing device on a rock creating a sharp edge. He then made a tiny cut on his finger. Blood poured out into the sea, a small amount, but it was enough. The Sharpedo instantly stopped their attack on the Pokemon. The smell of blood was in the sea, and they wanted it. The school immediately raced full speed towards their new prey. The smell had enveloped them, nothing could stop their advance. "No!" Amanda yelled.

The first Sharpedo was inches away, but suddenly it was battered to the side by Mike's Carvanha. "Go away Carvanha, you'll get killed!" He yelled, but the fish wouldn't turn away. It released another water gun towards the school, but that didn't stop them. With a skull bash, Carvanha was bashed aside. "O crap!" Mike yelled and began to swim. Carvanha was back up, but very hurt. The Sharpedo would be on Mike at any second. It couldn't bare it, and it knew to stop the monsters, it had to become the monster.

A large amount of light filled the sea blinding the advancing sharks. They still smelt the blood, but their eyes have been separated from it. Mike was beginning to pass out. His breathing device was not working properly and he needed air. Suddenly, the glowing ceased and Mike saw a Sharpedo advancing straight at him. He knew it would be over soon, and so he closed his eyes to accept it. Suddenly, Mike became aware that he wasn't being eaten, but was going full speed towards the surface. He opened his eyes to see the Sharpedo had him on its back. "Carvanha?" Mike managed to whisper before completely passing out…

Mike awoke inside Sitnalta. His friends were all around him. "He's awake!" Amanda grinned. "What happened?" Mike asked. "We had a betrayal from the looks of it." Amanda said placing a warm towel over his head. "But Sharpedo got you out of there." She grinned. Mike got up to see his new Pokemon swimming in a small pool. "This is Marco's backyard." Mary grinned. "You're safe now." Mike got up. "Where' Matt?" He asked. Amanda put her head down. "They got away." She said. "We'll find them one day though. Matt won't stop hunting you now." Jeff said. Mike turned to him. "I'm sorry I didn't believe you." He said. Jeff nodded. "No worries." He said.

Mike then turned and walked to the edge of the pool. He realized his finger had been bandaged and started to recall what happened. "Thanks buddy." Mike said petting Sharpedo's nose. It felt wet, but very smooth. "You don't have the rough skin like those tyrants." Mike grinned. "No, Sharpedo's only have rough skin in battle and when hunting." Marco said stepping out and handing Mike some hot coco. "And I'm sure I'll get a taste of that in our match tomorrow." He winked.

Wow, Matt betrayed his brother...but why? why join Team Rocket? I'm sure that this will go deeper, but being brothers, I'm sure Mike's too human to want to have to hurt his brother...

Great work, Chapter 39 was a hoot! Hehe. I'd have loved some conflict between Mike and Jeff, though; I'm sure Jeff would be p.o'd with Mike, and usually conflict can give off serious character development.

That was a really good chapter! I can't believe Matt did that and turned on his own brother. Well, Jeff was once right and no one believed him. Maybe he is starting to mature a little now. I am glad Carvahna evolved, it is now a big powerful SHarpedo! Great chapter and keep it up!

Well, after what seems like years of waiting I finally managed to finish a chapter. Here is Mike's 6th gym battle!

Chapter 41: Sitnalta City Gym! Battle Both Above and Below the Sea!

It was now night at Marco's house and Mike and friends were given accommodations. It was a fairly large room with a bunk bed and another twin sized bed on the opposite side. Jeff was asleep on the top bunk and Amanda was dozing on the twin bed. Mike was supposed to be asleep, but he just sat there. Electrike laid next to him licking his hand.

"I can't believe he would do that to me…" Mike commented. Electrike growled a bit. Outside, a Hoothoot landed on a branch and began to coo. Mike got up and looked out. Electrike yelped and leapt off the bed to follow. "It's so quiet." Mike said. "SPINARAKS!" Jeff suddenly blurted out. Mike turned to face what danger Jeff was in, but nothing was there. Jeff was still sound asleep. Mike shrugged and turned back.

"OH MY GOD THEY'RE EVERYWHERE!" Jeff yelled. Mike turned to see a pillow smash into his face. "What the hell was that for?" Mike asked as the pillow fell to the floor. He was again greeted with the fact that Jeff was asleep. "Must be dreaming." Mike sighed and turned back out the window.

Suddenly, Mike distinctly heard the sound of a bed rocking. He turned to see Jeff was wiggling around as if something was on him. "Get them off!" He wailed. Jeff grabbed the side of the bed as Mike rushed to wake him up. "What's going on?" Amanda said rubbing her eyes. "Jeff's having a nightmare." Mike remarked as he grabbed Jeff by the arm. Jeff let out a shriek that echoed throughout all of Sitnalta City.

Mike felt pain on his hand and pulled it back to see fresh claw marks. "What happened?" Amanda asked. "He scratched me…" Mike said in disbelief. Amanda began to laugh. "That's what you get for trying to wake him. Haven't you heard it's not a good idea?" Mike gave a fake grin and turned back. Jeff was now wailing and pulling at the bed post. Suddenly, the top bed came loose and crashed down onto the lower bed. "Oh my god!" Amanda screamed.

Mike grabbed Jeff who pulled away. "What are you doing?" Jeff asked. Mike sighed. "Why the hell am I down here? You stole top bunk in the night didn't you?" Jeff roared. Mike pointed up. Jeff looked to see no top bunk. He then looked down to see he was sitting on two beds. "What'd you do?" He asked. Mike rolled his eyes. The door then swung open and Mary was in the doorway. "Wow, someone's been playing demolition." She said looking at the mess. "He did it…" Jeff said pointing to Mike.

Mary began to laugh. "I'm sure he did." She said. The sun was starting to come out from under the horizon. "Morning already?" Amanda said getting up. Mike yawned. "Didn't get much sleep Mike?" Mary asked. "Truthfully, no…" Mike replied. Mary let out a warm smile. "I wouldn't expect you too after what happened yesterday." She said. Amanda walked towards Jeff and eyed him. "What?" He asked. Amanda sighed. "Jeff looked down to see that he was in his boxers."So, I bet you sleep in your panties too!" He roared and grabbed his backpack. Amanda then made a movement with her hands signaling for him to get up. "No I will not mate with you!" Jeff roared. Amanda pushed him and picked up her toothbrush. "Eww, have to buy a new one. There's no way I'm brushing my teeth with something that has touched your ***." She said in disgust.

Jeff let out a fake laugh and slipped on some track pants. Mike turned to Mary. "Do you know where Marco is? I'd really like to start the match seeing as how I'm up. It will take my mind off things." He said. Mary nodded and led the group into the kitchen. Marco was sitting at the table in a wetsuit. "Morning!" He said and took a sip of the coffee he was drinking. Mike nodded.

Marco yawned a bit, and then stood up. "So, you ready for that match? I understand if you need more time." He asked. Mike shook his head. "I'm ready." He replied with a look of concern on his face. Marco sensed what he was thinking. "The Sitnalta Police is on full alert. They'll catch you brother." He said. Mike's face turned red. His brother, the person he grew up with and played with…was now his enemy.

Marco led the group down a flight of stairs. "Aww, it smells like dead Octillery fart down here." Jeff said holding his nose. "Actually, what you smell is Tentacruel eggs. A female we raised just gave birth." Mary grinned. The hallway seemed to stretch forever, but a broad set of doors soon came into view. "My gym is below the city." Marco grinned. It's a lot more fun this way."

Marco pushed open the doors and put his hand out. Mike walked into a large well-light room with glass walls. Outside the glass was the ocean. "It's beautiful…" Amanda said in awe. Mike turned to see the battlefield. It was pretty much a square pool with several pieces if land floating on it. He also noticed a large hole near the end. "What's that?" Mike asked. Marco grinned. "My gym is a tad different from most." He said. "That hole you see leads to the ocean."

Mike was a little confused. Marco pointed to a box on the other side of the glass walls. "That there is a set of speakers. They line the whole ocean just outside the battlefield. If our Pokemon decide to leave the arena, we can still battle." He grinned. "I love the ocean, so I use it in battle." Mike nodded. "Now, would a two on two battle be sufficient for you?" Marco asked. Mike nodded. "Then let's take a dip so to speak." Marco replied.

Mike walked around the edge of the field towards his size. A Mantine floated by the wall as he went. "Such beauty in the ocean." He thought to himself. Mike made it to his side of the field and turned to see Marco already gripping a lure ball tight in his hands. "Well then. It's a two on two battle with no time limit. Are you ready?" Marco asked. Mike nodded. Marco flicked his fingers and a scoreboard dropped from the ceiling. Marco's picture appeared on the left.

"Say cheese!" Marco grinned. Mike looked confused when a camera fell in front of him. It flashed, and then returned to the ceiling. Mike was blinded for a few seconds, but he then saw his picture appear on the board. His eyes were all weird and his head was cocked. "Wow, nice picture." Jeff began to laugh.

"Come on!" Avalanche roared as he leapt from the top of one building to another. Matt soon followed. "No doubt your brother is with that gym leader." Avalanche said turning to Matt. Matt nodded. "He will be battling. It would be a perfect time to attack." Avalanche shook his head. "No, too many cops around. We wait for him to leave." Matt was confused. "But…" He began. "But…the only way to the next gym is to take the submarine up to Glitch Island and then take the ferry to the mainland." Avalanche finished. "So?" Matt replied. "So, ferries are vulnerable when they are in the middle of the sea…" Avalanche grinned…

"Go Golduck!" Marco said tossing a Pokeball. The ball spilled open to reveal the dark blue erect duck. "GOL!" it bellowed. Mike pulled a Pokeball from his belt and tossed it. "I choose Sharpedo!" He roared. The massive shark emerged in the pool and roared defiantly. "Wow, starting strong!" Marco grinned. "Golduck, use ice beam!" Golduck lifted its hands to its gem and made two peace signs. The gem began to glow and a large white beam began to emerge.

"Sharpedo, dive!" Mike commanded. Sharpedo roared and descended below the water. The beam struck where it once floated creating ice. "Golduck, go after it!" Marco ordered. The duck spread its arms and dove headfirst under the water. "Sharpedo, use crunch!" Mike roared. Golduck's head popped above the surface as it looked for the shark. A large dorsal fin emerged from the water and sped towards it.

"Golduck, watch out, leap from the water and use slash!" Marco bellowed. Golduck jumped just as Sharpedo went by and brought its arm down. Mike heard his Pokemon let out a large roar as it was struck by the claws of its foe. "Sharpedo, turn around and use water pulse!" Mike commanded. Sharpedo diverted direction and let out a gushing swirl of water. Suddenly, Golduck's gem glowed and the water stopped dead. "Nice psychic!" Marco grinned.

Mike was in shock. Golduck could take his attacks and make them useless with just a single attack. "We have to try more physical blows! Use bite!" Mike roared. Sharpedo nodded and descended into the water. Golduck, you know what to do!" Marco roared. Golduck began to wait as the massive shark swam towards its prey. "Now!" Marco wailed. Golduck held out its hand and did a flip. As it dodged, it gripped Sharpedo's fin as Marco had the day before. "You taught your Pokemon how to Sharpedo wrangle?" Mike asked in disbelief.

Marco grinned. "I'm very sneaky." He replied. Sharpedo sped through the water bellowing and shaking as it tried to remove the Pokemon from its back. In a desperate attempt, it flung itself against the wall. Golduck was knocked off, but Sharpedo took damage in the process. Mike put down his head. "Sharpedo, take a rest!" He said and recalled it. "Saving it for later?" Marco grinned.

Mike pulled another Pokeball from his belt and tossed it onto one of the platforms. Tangela emerged leaping happily. "A Tangela? That's a new one." Marco laughed. "You'd be surprised how many people underestimate it." Mike replied. "Tangela, use razor leaf!" Tangela stopped jumping and began to release its sharp leaves into the water. Golduck dodged as the razors went by. "Golduck, get on shore!" Marco commanded. IN a burst of water, Golduck was now on one of the platforms. "Tangela, use vine whip!" Mike roared.

Tangela let loose its vines as they made their way towards the duck. "Knock them away with slash!" Marco roared. Golduck clenched its fist, and then opened it, smashing some of the vines away. Tangela brought one vine low and managed to get it through Golduck's legs. It then brought the vine up. It wrapped around the poor ducks neck and pulled it down. "Golduck!" Marco roared. "Now Tangela, bring it to you!" Mike roared.

Tangela began to reel its opponent in. Golduck struggled to free itself, but it couldn't. "Hydro pump!" Marco commanded. Golduck lifted its head and began to gurgle the water in its mouth. Suddenly, a vine wrapped around its mouth and clamped it shut. The water started to build up and Golduck looked worried. "Now Tangela, use slam!" Mike roared. Tangela leapt up and smashed itself into Golduck's mouth as it let loose its vine. The water immediately exited its mouth causing Golduck to fly back and into the wall.

"Golduck is defeated!" Mary said. Marco recalled his Pokemon and turned to Mike. "Impressive!" He grinned. Marco then pulled a net ball from his belt and tossed it into the water. A burst of light was seen but nothing more. "Well, let's get this battle going!" He smirked. Mike looked into the pool, but he couldn't see the foe that Marco had released.

"Use water pulse!" Marco commanded. A large amount of water came out of nowhere and smashed into Tangela. The Pokemon wheeled back, unaware of what had struck it. "Tangela, use razor leaf! Try to get the Pokemon to reveal itself!" Mike roared. Tangela nodded and launched the leaves under the water. "You can't hit it that way!" Marco grinned. "Ice beam!"

Mike watched in horror as the beam emerged from the water. Tangela was hit hard and an icicle formed around it. "Tangela is unable to battle!" Mary said. Mike took this time to look harder into the pool. The Pokemon was still invisible to him. "Return!" He said recalling Tangela. "Go Sharpedo, find that Pokemon!" He roared. Sharpedo reemerged in the pool with a look of determination on its face.

"Dive, and use whirlpool!" Mike roared. Sharpedo sunk below the water and began to create the whirlpool. "Your Pokemon can't hide in that!" Mike grinned. Suddenly, Mike heard a knock at the glass wall. He turned to see a large mouthed greenish eel in the ocean. "A Huntail?" Mike said confused. "I told you I use both the ocean and the battlefield." Marco grinned. "So, it did escape your whirlpool."

Mike was in shock. The Pokemon that eluded his eyes was a Huntail. "Sharpedo, get to the ocean and smoke that Huntail!" Mike roared. Sharpedo bellowed and sunk below the surface. Seconds later Mike saw it appear outside the wall. Huntail had disappeared again. "Huntail, use scary face!" Marco roared. The Pokemon came out of a nearby rock and let loose a terrible look. Sharpedo was struck and couldn't move. "Sorry Mike, but no one can beat me in the ocean!" Marco grinned. "Huntail, use crunch!" Huntail darted towards its prey like a missile. Mike let out a cry as it connected. However, Huntail was blown back whimpering. Mike saw a bruise appear on its nose.

"Rough skin!" Mike grinned. Marco was in shock. "You were so set on showing off your ability to hide your Pokemon that your forgot your opponent." Mike smiled. "And now I'll show you the true terror of the ocean! Sharpedo, use bite!" Mike roared. Sharpedo was now mobile again. It smashed into Huntail and bit down hard on its tail. The Pokemon wailed as it was shaken like a rag doll. "Now, use hydro pump!" Mike roared. Sharpedo let go of its prey and let loose a massive amount of water. Huntail was blown back by the force and smashed into the rock it was hiding in minutes before.

"Huntail, water pulse!" Marco said nervously. "Skull bash!" Mike roared. Sharpedo shot towards Huntail and smashed its head into the Pokemon before it could get the attack off. When Sharpedo pulled away, Huntail floated limp. "Huntail is defeated, Mike is the winner!" Mary roared. Mike put his arm up and cheered as his Pokemon made its way back into the arena. It brought its foe with it and tossed it onto the platform. Marco recalled it and smiled. "You did well…" He commented.

Marco walked around the arena and handed him a small badge with a treasure chest shape. "This is the Sunken Badge, and you've more than earned it." He said. Mike thanked him and took the badge. That evening, Mike and his friends made their way to the submarine port. Marco and Mary sent them off with some supplies and said their goodbyes.

An hour later, Mike and co were boarding the submarine to head back to shore. As Mike got in, he turned to see Marco rushing down the road. "Wait!" He yelled and walked toward him. Mike looked to see the camera in his hands. "I had Huntail find it for you in the trenches. Perhaps it will give you some clues to your father's whereabouts." He said. Mike nodded. "Thanks Marco." He grinned. Marco nodded and stepped back. "Be sure to come visit." He grinned. "I will." Mike said and gave him a thumbs up. The sub then began to lift as Mike waved to his new friend.

That was a good chapter! It took a long time lol. he gym battle was really good and the beginning was funny. I notice a slight improvment from this chapter and from chapter 40. Sharpedo seems to bee a really good pokemon for Mikey. Hope you can get some more done. But to make it so you don't have chapters for awahile, when your done writing some just wait a while to post and then it wont be a long time for a chapter. Thats just a thought but keep it up!

Um, if you've read the whole thing, you would notice that Mike and Amanda have a little thing going, not Jeff and her.

Chapter 42: Avalanche's Scheme! Disaster at Sea!

The submarine now surfaced on the sunny harbor of Morbot Isle. As Mike stepped out, he looked up at the sun thankful to see it again. Being underwater for a few days was fun, but he enjoyed the nice breezes and heat sometimes. Amanda got off after him and Jeff soon followed. They now were in a large harbor complete with many shops and stands.

"So, what's our next move skipper?" Jeff grinned catching up with Mike. "I'd say we head to the ferry stand and buy us some tickets. I want to get to Sweenate Isle as soon as possible, Gilligan!" Mike winked. Jeff looked a little angry. "But food comes first right?" He asked. Mike sighed a bit. "The ferry will have its own dining room. I very much doubt you'll have trouble finding food there." He said. Jeff began to pout. "But I want it now!" He cried. Mike just shrugged and walked over to Amanda.

"Ferry rides don't come cheap you know. And we spent a lot this week on submarine rides alone." Amanda said pulling out the wallet she carried from her pack. "We don't have much left for food if we go by ferry." She added in. Mike was a bit saddened by this. "Sharpedo can't carry all of us, so that is out." He said. Meanwhile, Jeff thought fast and called out Shiftry. "Ok, you're a tree right?" He asked his Pokemon. Shiftry angrily nodded. It seemed annoyed with the fact that Jeff was just figuring this out.

"And trees always have fruit right?" Jeff grinned. Shiftry fell back mocking Jeff. "Hey, this is serious stuff! Your trainer is hungry and he wants food now! So make with the bananas and apples before I chop you up for firewood!" Jeff roared. Shiftry now grew angry. It began to glare at Jeff, and then smacked him with its leaf fan. Jeff fell back against a building wall with a bruised eye. Shiftry began to laugh. Jeff was about to get up when suddenly a group of people surrounded him. "Aww, the poor homeless lanky man looks all hurt. Here's some money for food." The nearest woman said and placed a 10 dollar bill down. Some other people took pity on him and began to donate. "But I'm not homeless!" Jeff replied. "Oh that's just the boos talking deary!" A woman said handing him some money.

The lady then looked at one of the others. "Aww, he's in denial about the fact that he's dirty and smelly." She grinned. The ladies became more giving and began to hand him larger bills. Jeff then realized that he had something here. Shiftry watched in confusion, and then walked over to Mike and Amanda. It nudged them toward the scene. "What now?" Amanda sighed. The ladies backed off and began to dissipate. Jeff stood there grinning with mountains of cash. "What did you do now, whore yourself?" Mike asked. Jeff shook his head. "I got money for being dirty and smelly!" He grinned. Mike and Amanda began to laugh.

With the money situation taken care of, the group headed for the ferry. After buying tickets, they headed aboard. Many people were boarding this ship, and each one seemed rather rich. Mike and his friends looked like crap compared to them. "What's with this ship?" Jeff asked. They passed a lady who was busy telling a baggage boy where to take her things. "Everyone is so demanding." Mike remarked. Jeff then looked up to see the boat's name across the top portion of the higher decks. "The S.M.S Richanic…the ship for the wealthy." It read. "How did we manage to get on a penny pincher ship?" Jeff asked.

"That would be from the helpful ladies." Mike winked. "You managed to accumulate over 1000 dollars." He added in. Amanda then spoke up. "If we didn't take this ship, we'd have to wait a few days to get the next one to Sweenate Isle." She said. The ship sounded its horn and began to pull from the harbor. Within a few minutes, they were out to sea.

The wind was very calm and everything was peaceful. Mike and co were towards the bow of the ship relaxing on the deck. Amanda was busy grooming Skitty while Jeff was asleep. Mike was admiring his new badge. Meanwhile, just a little ways off, two shadowy figures road the back of a Feraligatr. Matt pulled out the tracking device and handed it to Avalanche. "They are moving fast against the wind." He remarked. Avalanche shook his head. "The boys on a cruise ship. Any idiot could figure that out." He said handing the tracker back to Matt.

Avalanche then kicked the side of Feraligatr causing it to stop swimming. "What's your plan of action?" Matt asked. Avalanche dug through his sack and pulled out a small object. "You plan to hit him what that or something?" Matt said rolling his eyes. "No, I intend to give the ship a run for its money; no pun intended." Avalanche grinned and pressed a switch on the object. He set the thing in the water as it began to grow. Hatches opened and spread into new sections and soon a small torpedo was ling next to the Pokemon. "What the hell is that thing?" Matt asked. "This my friend, is what will get rid of your brother for good." Avalanche then pressed a button and pulled a controller from the torpedo. "Time to play battleship!" He grinned and let the torpedo off.

Bonnie and Clyde were now rowing in a small raft towards shore. It had been days since they left the previous port, and with no money for food, they were getting very desperate. "This is not my idea of fun." Clyde wailed. "And we haven't seen those morons for over a week." He added in. Bonnie sighed and handed him a net. "Catch us something to eat instead of complaining." She roared. Clyde sighed and placed the net over the edge. He then looked out in the distance to see something speeding towards them. "Look how fast Bonnie!" He grinned. "I wish our raft went that fast!" Bonnie dropped her paddle and peered out.

"I don't think that's a boat Clyde." She cried and began to panic. "What do you mean?" Clyde asked. "Abandon the fricking ship!" Bonnie cried and leap off releasing Ludicolo. Clyde was confused, but immediately followed. "Pineapple, get us the hell out of here!" Bonnie roared. The Pokemon didn't budge. Bonnie sighed and switched on her portable radio. With the music blaring, Ludicolo immediately obeyed swimming as fast as it could go. The three then looked back to see their raft go up in a rather large mushroom cloud. "What in the hell was that all about?" Clyde roared. Suddenly, the tune on the radio switched to the Macarena. Ludicolo began to follow the dance causing both humans to fall off it.

"Crap!" Avalanche roared. "What happened?" Matt asked. "Something got in the way." Avalanche roared and began to dig through his pack again. He pulled a second torpedo out and let it grow in the water again. "Luckily, two is better than one." He grinned and fired the second off… Mike was busy practicing with Electrike on deck. "Electrike, tackle that pole!" He roared as his faithful Pokemon smashed its head into the nearby pole of the ship. Amanda stopped brushing and Skitty and sat up. She checked the Pokenav and then turned to Mike.

"It's 4:30 Pm, we should be docking within the next two hours." She said grinning. Suddenly, Jeff woke up. "What time did you say it was?" He asked grabbing her arm. "4:30, why?" Amanda replied. In an instant, Jeff was rushing towards the stairs and disappeared. "Wonder what got into him." Mike asked. Amanda shrugged and picked up Skitty. "Might as well go see." She grinned. Mike began to follow Amanda towards the stairs with Electrike close behind.

The two entered their stay room to find Jeff glued to the TV. "Damn rich cruise doesn't even have MTV. I had to pay extra to get it." He said without taking his eyes off the screen. "How much was it?" Mike asked. "Don't worry, I sent it to your bill." He grinned. Mike sighed. "Jeff, cruises are not for watching…" BAAAM! Mike was hit in the stomach by Jeff and was sent sprawling across the floor. When he came too he realized Britney Spear's "Toxic" Music video was beginning. "No one talks during TOXIC!" Jeff roared.

The cruise sped on as the torpedo neared the hull. Up on the captain's deck, the ship's mates were beginning to get readings of something heading towards them. "What do you suppose that is?" One of them asked. The other shrugged. Another dot appeared on radar on the opposite side of the ship. "There's two now!" A sailor roared. Feraligatr positioned itself on the other side of the ship. "Now, we always create a diversion before attacking the enemy." Avalanche grinned and pressed the switch. Both Feraligatr and the torpedo began to stream towards the cruise.

"Both are coming in fast!" Someone roared as the sailors began to look out over the water. "Impact in thirty seconds! We can't shake them!" Another yelled to the captain. Feraligatr suddenly diverted direction as the torpedo sped on from the opposite side. Avalanche let out a grin as it smashed into the hall of the ship and rocked it like a rubber ducky. "Now we shall see who the survivor is." He grinned. Matt looked out at the scene in horror. "Prepare to board! We must finish this." Avalanche then said to him.

The impact was hard, and Mike and Amanda were thrown against the wall. Jeff flung forward and managed to save the TV from crashing off the desk. An alarm began to ring over the speakers. "Get to the life boats! We have been hit!" An announcer roared. Mike grabbed Amanda and led her to the door. Jeff didn't budge. "Let's go Jeff!" Mike roared. Jeff put his finger up. "NOTHING makes me leave the room before "Toxic" is over." He roared. Mike sighed and released Combusken. In a flash of flames, the TV incinerated. "You son of a…" Jeff began but Mike grabbed him and pulled him from the room as he recalled his Pokemon.

For a bunch of old rich people, the passengers on the ship could sure put up a riot. Chaos was everywhere as the sailors tried to maintain what little order was left. Mike looked out over the side of the ship to see a large chunk was gone. "Some people must have been down there when it happened." Amanda said sadly. Mike was now in a rage. He grabbed her hand and led her through the crowds of people. Jeff tried to keep up the best he could.

Feraligatr pulled up on the opposite side of the hall and Avalanche began to climb up. "Find your brother, and make sure he sinks to the bottom of this sea before you leave here!" He roared down to Matt who was recalling his Pokemon. Matt nodded and followed him up. Mike pushed through a bunch of people until he finally made it to a life boat. "Ok, we'll get in this one." Mike said. Jeff looked a little saddened. "What is it?" Mike asked sighing. "I've seen this movie before! They only allow women and children on!" He cried. Mike sighed. "That was almost 100 years ago. That rule has long been abolished." Mike replied.

Jeff shook his head. "Don't try to make me feel better. I know we're done for!" He cried and began to rock back and forth. An old lady turned from the boat. "I'll be back in a moment, just let me go pack." She said, but was soon snatched by a sailor and put into the boat. "The ship is sinking mam. No help can make it before it goes under. We don't have time for you!" He roared. Mike pushed Amanda towards the lifeboat. Suddenly, a muscular arm grabbed him and pulled him back. Amanda fell to the deck in shock as Mike disappeared into the crowd of frantic people.

"So, here of all places I find my prey!" Avalanche grinned. Mike kicked him in the face and pulled away, but now Matt stood in front of him. "There are 1000 people on this boat Matt. Do you really think none of them will help me?" He asked. Matt grinned. "Who wants to help the poor child for whom this incident occurred?" He roared. The crowd made no notice of them. "You see, we rule now!" He grinned and tossed an Ultra ball. The ball opened in a dazzling display of black light before a round Pokemon emerged. It looked egg like, and the only reason you could tell it had a head was from the eyes inside. "A Shelgon!" Mike said in disbelief.

Mike went for a Pokeball but his hand was suddenly restrained by a vine. He looked over to see Avalanche with an Ivysaur next to him. "Not this time!" He roared. Amanda pulled through the crows just in time to see Shelgon smash its bulk into Mike and send him falling over the railing and onto the lower deck. Avalanche leap after and Matt began to follow. He looked back and winked evilly at her before leaping after his brother.

Jeff cut through the crowd to his friend. "Where's Mike?" He asked. Amanda turned around with tears in her eyes. "He's under attack, we have to help him!" She roared. "Oh no! I'm saving myself!" Jeff roared and returned to the crowd. Amanda went limp and rushed off to help her friend. Jeff was now next to get on the life boat, but he was still worried about the women and children rule. He looked around fast and spied a woman carrying a baby. Immediately, he snatched it from her and began to cradle it. "Look, see I have a kid just like that evil guy from the movie! Let me on!" He wailed.

The sailor looked at him strangely. "If you want to get on, just get on." He said. Jeff began to freak. "You're not going to let a father and his daughter get on the boat?" He roared. "Am I not rich enough for you?" The sailor sighed. "Sir, you're out of line." He said. "I'm not out of line!" Jeff roared. Suddenly, the lady snatched her baby back and kicked Jeff in the shin. "Sir, get in the boat now before we're all sitting in the bottom of the sea." The sailor sighed. "I'll have none of you're racism against men!" Jeff roared. "It's not fare women and children get on but we don't! I repopulate the earth, not them!" Suddenly, Jeff was shoved aside by the crowd…

Amanda rushed down the stairs into the lower deck hallway. It was already beginning to fill with water and she began to worry. She spied the entrance to the deck and rushed to it, but found it locked. "Crap!" She roared and looked around for something to smash it open. With nothing in sight, she had no choice but to call out Skitty. The kitten emerged and landed into the shallow pool that was slowly rising. It began to freak and cry as its precious fur got wet. Amanda sighed and recalled it. She then released Kirlia who hovered onto her shoulder. "Kirlia, break the door with psychic!" She roared. The helmeted Pokemon hovered in front of her and glowed purple as the door began to shake. They soon smashed open letting in vast amounts of water.

Kirlia immediately brought up a safeguard as the two rushed into the smashing water. Kirlia lead Amanda up to where the water hadn't overtaken the deck. It was then that Amanda realized the ship was sinking stern first. The section she was on was towards the bow, and so it wasn't waterlogged yet. She continued up the deck to find Avalanche holding Mike over the railing. "I've should have killed you years ago!" He roared. "Kirlia, psychic!" Amanda roared. The Pokemon let off the attack, lifting Avalanche and shoving him against the wall. Mike landed on the deck next to him.

Amanda began to rush to her fallen friend, but Shelgon leapt in the way. "You'll have to get through me first!" Matt grinned. Amanda clenched her fist. "Kirlia, use psybeam!" She roared. Kirlia twisted its hands and let loose the multicolored beam. "Shelgon, use rollout!" Matt commanded. The Pokemon responded and managed to dodge. "I'm using the crooked battle field to my advantage." Matt grinned. "So am I!" Amanda roared. Matt looked down to see Mudkip under him. It smiled and tripped him with its tail. Matt was sent sliding down the deck and into the water. Amanda looked down to see him call out Feraligatr.

Shelgon came back in to rollout Kirlia, but the Pokemon hovered away and sent Shelgon down to its trainer with a psychic. Suddenly, Amanda was grabbed from behind by Avalanche. "I too can send you down to the sea, but you don't have a Pokemon to save you!" He grinned and pulled the knife from his pocket. "Not that you'll need it without your intestines." He grinned. Suddenly, Avalanche was hit hard in the back with a pound. Treecko stood behind him. "Let's go!" Jeff roared. Mike was hoisted over his shoulder. Amanda gave him a thumbs up and recalled her Pokemon.

The three ran up towards the tip of the bow as the boat began to slant further. "I thought you were saving yourself." Amanda asked. "I decided to be brave!" Jeff grinned. Treecko rolled its eyes from Jeff's back. The boat was now so slanted that the three had to grip the top of the bow. It was then that the ship began to plummet into the ocean. "Never a dull moment!" Mike grinned slowly regaining consciousness. He grasped Sharpedo's Pokeball in his hand. Mike let himself off Jeff and released his shark Pokemon. They all then held hands and leapt from the boat's bow and into the sea just as the final portion sunk below.

Everyone gripped Sharpedo as it raced to the nearest lifeboat. The three were welcomed in and found out most everyone made it out. Mike looked back at where the ship was a few minutes ago. "I wonder if Matt made it out." He said. Jeff looked confused. "They caused that in the first place." He said. Mike nodded. "But I still believe he can come back as himself." He replied. The helicopters began to arrive to evacuate the survivors….

Avalanche and Matt made it too shore hours later. As they pulled themselves up worn out and panting, Giovanni and the other team leaders stood on shore. "I saw your little blunder Avalanche." Giovanni roared. "I want the boy alive, and here I find you are trying to kill him. Our plans will not go over well if he doesn't make it to the shrine." He said. "I don't tolerate mutiny. For that, you are fired from Team Rocket and Matt will take your elite status." He grinned. Avalanche was in a rage. "But he was helping me!" He roared. "Yes, but he has a connection to the kid." Giovanni grinned and walked off. Matt waved goodbye to his partner and smirked leaving Avalanche alone and shocked….
