You approach the two groundlings and ask them a few questions -- mostly about the whereabouts of this mysterious waterfall you've heard so much about. Phanpy seems to know more about it than Sandshrew, though.
"The waterfall? Yeah, it's about three kilometers west of here. My folks won't let me go 'round those parts though -- they say it's dangerous for a ground type like me."
Sounds pretty trustworthy.
What's your next move, Ayeun?
Take a breather.

A strange town, all within the treetops. Long since abandoned by humans, the MASSIVE amount of Pokemon that live here all seem a bit strange and off kilter. The completely aerial town is connected by boards, and the homes all resemble traditional Japanese style. One would think the townspeople were turned into Pokemon here!

With Gin currently AWOL, you summon Alexander to lead the charge for his safety. But you can't be too careful, however, and Alexander activates his hidden talent, and a hailstorm is whipped up.
The foliage doesn't take too kindly to the sudden change in climate, but Alexander persists, keeping you cloaked in snow. You keep moving forward until you start to hear squeals coming from up ahead. They're not familiar, however...

You finally lose the bird (or so you think), and turn back around to head back towards the beach. Probably not your best move, however. Pelipper emerges from the trees to exact his revenge, but Tweety remains on the ready, firing off another whirlwind to knock him back some more.
He doesn't seem to be trying anymore though, but it'd be unwise to put him at the back of your mind just yet. After a few more minutes of moseying, you return to the beach only to find... no pokemon whatsoever. It's almost kinda quaint.
To your left, you see an old wooden dock stretching about ten meters out into the ocean. Mayhaps you'll find some rods over that way?

Once you get a bite, your line will tug for about half a second, and you'll instinctively tug it. Once you've done that, you'll have to reel it in!
