Feeling brave, you dare march into the Torchic tunnel. Torchic runs away,and you see a light that grows stronger and stronger. You can feel the warmth of what seemed to be a fire, but no actual fire yet. Turning a corner, you walk up on a strange game. A Combusken was lighting small embers under an Empoleon's wing, and bouncing back as the Empoleon kept trying to swath them out.

The Empoleon was asleep. Mean game. But two other Combusken and three Torchic were watching and laughing.

Gin spots a tail end of a red fabric shoot down a corridor.

You both give chase, and Gin is able to move a bit faster since he's smaller He hooks a corner much sharper than you and jumps, sliding near the blond thing running away. A strange spell is cast and the thing falls on its face. Turning to face you, you see yourself face to face with a Jynx.

She is holding food, and backs away from you, not willing to share.

Ironically though, that Mean Look also caught a Froslass. Shes also kida mad she cant really leave right now, and blows an Icy wind as a warning to let her go or else.

Alakazam thanks you for your help against the Shiftry and walks over to Venus. He whispers something in her ear, then walks to the ultra ball, and enters it. Just before the teleporter kicks in, Venus tells you that Alakazam said "I hope I can be your partner again."

Reaching the bottom, you spot a Spheal bouncing around, with a wet bottom. The walls seem to all be shiny sheets of ice, but one "panel" of ice moves as Gin touches it. A Bronzor floats up and flies away slowly.

Seeing that it's not getting very far due to the strange hardness in it, you assume it to be petrified, and shrug as a shrill cry can be heard in the air. You look up, and find it to be coming from a flock of Staravia that all appear to be making some sort of formation in the air, although you can't quite make it out.

Along the way, you see a Roserade sleeping on a bed of some fallen twigs and leaves...that appear to have fallen out of the tree a Spearow is seen looking into. Cinnamon gently taps the tree, which seems to make a peculiar sound, making him wonder if the tree is somehow hollow.

Turning to face the tree that the Spearow is in, you turn to Sterling, and ask him what the Spearow is seeing in the tree. The Skarmory complies, and flies up near the Spearow, and asks her your question. The two bird Pokemon begin to communicate about something, and soon Sterling flies back down and gives you the Spearow's answer.

"This tree wasn't always hollow. Some time ago, something just happened inside the tree...the inside of it was a little bit fragile, which you wouldn't expect around here, and one day, a Pokemon that was looking for some berries ended up ramming into the tree. Though the tree didn't fall down, somehow most of the interior crumbled into this pile inside the tree. However, since the tree had some holes in it prior to this event, it made it possible to see inside it, if you looked hard enough. But there's nothing of value inside the tree, just this mess of sap and wood that I guess you wouldn't be able to make much use of."

Not knowing what kind of Pokemon could do this to the tree, you breathe a sigh of relief to see it is still standing despite what happened. The Spearow soon flies down to your level, as if she had something additional to say.

But I assure you, it wasn't one of them who did this to the tree, something else around here did it, so I'd be careful. Oh, and by the way, before you go, there's something I should tell you. A friend of mine that currently makes his home in the jungle area lost his tail feather somewhere around here on his last visit, which is very important to him, can you deliver it to him, please?"

Yay cablecar! You and Gin run in, and sit down, glad to be out of the win partially. With a whirr and a click, the machine stars and up you go.

Elevator music plays as the crisp air blows by, much softer. Fearow and Staraptor are your only aerial viewers thus far, but looking down the side of the car, you and Gin spot a few others. There's a Snover waving at you, before rolling down the mountain. Piplup too...

Oh hey another entrance, near the summit no less. And whoa, peering out of that summit is a Porygon2. But it zips back in pretty danged quickly.

There's no "extremely careful" right now! There's a Torterra running at you! Frost is up and you again roll for cover as it barrels by-its tankish body making short work of the foliage that was once a serene place to walk.

You get up and Frost bounds in front of you. Yer positive that's not the same Torterra from earlier, but you don't care. You find an opening from the woods and take it, leading you to the shoreline--where YOUR Torterra is lazily lapping up some water.

You run over to the Torterra before it turns and heads back in the woods. Though out of breath, you both explain what you learned and the ol' Torterra smiles at you. Just then, that angry Torterra bursts out the Woods, and is dead set on toppling you over? Seems he likes traitors as much as the other grassy Pokemon.

The friendly Torterra slowly ambles in front of you. You get teh feeling this Torterra is older-and possibly wiser. Frost tells you that its saying that it can deal with this threat, and you should get that herb to the Dratini.
