ASB Suggestion Thread

O.o Yeah cause Amnesia can't be bounced back in ASB, it works completely different. I'll work up a Magc Coatable list, and most likely put it under Magic Bounce since they'd work with the same mechanic.

2 things

1) What kind of games do people want in the casino? I've had a suggestion for blackjack, but I am having difficulty getting predicted numbers for DL to approve it.

2) Can we give Snore to all B/W pokemon as well as Sleep Talk? It's a personal preference, but the 30% flinch is often preferable to the chance of exploding. (Which has happened to me...)

2) I see no reason why not, since Snore seems to be absent from the sleep category for B/W as well.

I never sent that PM. I've always given you some form of prediction of results for any game I've suggested, and I have been unable to do that for blackjack.

This is a reason to push for zero-sum games, where the points are transferred between players. e.g. Ayeun and Oslo bet on a heads-or-tails kind of thing, etc. If people are up for that, I'll do it.

I am fighting Oslo (why do I always get paired up with Oslo?), and his Snorelax is on the field. I use my (non existant) Zoura/Zourak, which turns in to Snorelax. Oslo looks at my Vs seeker, and sees that I don't actually OWN a Snorelax, so he knows that I just sent out Zoura/Zourak.

Proposed version:

Again, Vs Oslo with Snorelax, but this time it looks like I sent out my Hariyama, but I whisper the Ref that it is, in fact, Zoura/Zourak. Oslo posts his attacks as if it was against my Hariyama, which my vs seeker SHOWS that I have, and I am then revealed to be using Zoura/Zourak.

THIS MAKES MORE SENCE!!!!!

But why would I then have to use that Pokemon? Zoura/Zourak turned in to one from my bench... In the case of most of us, we have benches that are around 100 battlers...

Because, as Ayuen stated, they can just look at your Vs Seeker and see you don't have a second Haryiamma. Besides it's really far removed from what the game does. Don't particularly care for that.

The reason I added that stipulation earlier is if you happen to use Zorua last....you wouldn't have anyone to change into, which is why the Opponent thing seemed more valid at the time. However, even with your battle with Jeli earlier on, you wee confused as to what was going on when you saw he didn't have a 'tomb.

Now, with this new way, players wont be stuck with having to use Zorua/ark in any place but last-and it keeps the element of surprise, which is what illusion really needs to be about. There's no surprise if you look it up and know.

I suggest you modly mods like delete the posts in the vs seeker that arent vs seeker posts. I mean like the ones where people are just talking and whatnot. I mean if everbody is cleaning up their Vs seeker already might as well clean up the thred too

No, I KNEW he didn't have a Tomb, and what I pointed out was that Illusion (as it said then) made you look like the opponent, as opposed to any member of PKMN on your team. When Jeli released his Zorua and told you it was going to look like a Misdrevious, it went against the way Illusion was stated to work in the Strat-Dex. I saw that Jeli had a Zoura, and a Misdrevious, and I went with the thought that it was a Misdrev rather than the Illusion one. Had it worked differently (as it had been written) my attacks would have been completely different and the first set outcome also changed as a result.

So what will be the punishment for not updating your Vs Seeker in time? I want to watch Blade's punishment...

May I Suggest:

1 - DE-EVOLUTION of one pokemon for every day they Vs Seeker isn't updated, with NO REFUND of the costs...
2 - DEDUCTION OF POINTS by 1 point per day. When they run out of points, you can start taking Pokemon off them.
3 - REMOVAL of Gym / E4 status by one level per day, then the reduction of points, and then the removal of Pokemon...

Yeh I am probably not going to be able to update my vs seeker for a while as I have been quite busy with my uni work. Anyway my current team is in my signature so all anyone is really missing is the genders and abilities of the pokemon, but I include them always in my battles so it shouldn't matter for now.

Anyway, I don't have a Zorua/Zoroark. And I always post all my Pokemon's info in battles. More often than not the REF forgets stuff before I do.

And last I checked, the Vs. Seeker wasn't mandatory.

Exact Opposite DL. Exact fecking Opposite.

If you remember, the original line up was Misdrevious (Zorua) vs Spiritomb, due to a mistake made with the way Illusion was written.

Granted, I was taken by surprise by the Misdrevious turning into a Zorua (as is expected with the Ability: Illusion), and had to rework my plan (HOW you got that part confused/forgotten I have NO idea). However, I could have (and maybe should have) asked for a re-do of the entire First Round not because I knew i was fighting Zorua after the fact, but because Illusion was Reffed Incorrectly (if you remember, I didn't ask to have my attacks changed as a result). Had Zorua been a Spiritomb when released (as Illusion said it would be) my entire line of attacks would have been different, and thus, the outcome would have been different.

The reason I didn't argue it was because I felt it wouldn't have been fair to Jeli for a Gym Leader (his first Gym Match) to throw a tantrum instead of rolling with the punches.

If Illusion worked for PKMN in your Team:

Misdrevious (Zorua) vs Spiritomb
- Nothing changed in how I would have handled it, and how it went down.

If Illusion worked against the current Pokemon (as it was then):
Spiritomb (Zorua) vs Spiritomb
- Attacks and counters completely different for first round. (accounting for different weaknesses and strategies).

And as we all know, the first round can be the deciding factor. However, to make it clear, I am NOT asking for a redo of that first round. It's come, gone, and we'll get on with our lives.

EDIT: Also, Ay, do you want to alienate EVERYONE from ASB? That is a bad idea.. a VERY bad idea...

I've been busy with my other forum, where I actually mod it. We have a troll there by the name of Adam. Adam has attempted to undermine the games we play, send a virus to the players, steal the passwords of the players, etc... We are now about to restart the site for unrelated reasons, and people actually invited Adam to join the new site. The games are based on deception and backstabbing, and the players are nice enough to forgive someone who tried to send them viruses.

So, why is your response towards blade so much worse than our response to our resident troll? What has blade done to you that Adam hasn't done to us?

And I really don't see the point in mandating the VS. Seeker since "being here for awhile" is a pretty vague and nonsensical parameter to try and follow. Heald has been here for awhile and his VS. Seeker is most likely not going to be updated by tomorrow. Same with anybody in the Absence Tower.

Try and understand, guys: I have all my Pokemon on a list in Wordpad, anyway. I could easily just copypaste that into the VS. Seeker thread. I just don't see WHY. I never look at anybody else's VS. Seekers because ASB isn't as big a deal to me as it used to be. I feel like you seeing that sort of information without the favor being returned is just not fair and penalizes me, and on that note everyone else who doesn't use the Seeker, for no real reason.
