"This way!" Senic says, leading you down the beach.

After a few minutes of trekking, you come upon a large bay not far from the eastern terminus of Tranquil Shores. A large sign declares this area to be Mantine Bay. You've never visited this part of Tranquil Shores, and you're quite glad that's the case. A putrid stench hangs in the air and the water in the bay looks to be a murky greenish-brown. You're amazed anything could possibly live in this water.

"Senic!" comes a voice from behind you. You glance around and see a Clauncher scuttling toward you.



"Caridea!" Senic says, greeting the Clauncher warmly. "Caridea, this is BTPoke, a Gym Leader from the ASB League. He's helped me out in the past and he's offered to help again. BTPoke, this is Caridea. She lives here."

Time for a dip! Rosalinda conjures up a white shroud around you and your party as you wade into the filthy water. Yuck. You then summon Bulbob, who performs a Dive. An everlasting oxygen bubble materializes around your face, as well as the faces of Chie, Rosalinda and Senic. You grab onto Bulbob's tail and he takes you under the water.

The water beneath the surface turns out to be every bit as polluted and gross as you'd expect. Bulbob guides you toward the center of the bay and then starts swimming downward. You soon touch down on the squishy bottom.

"The Mantyke was somewhere around here, I believe," Caridea says, peering around.

Unfortunately, it's far too dark down here for you to see more than a couple of feet in front of you.

You decide to get closer. Since doing that would require you to be on the other side of the fence, Animikii picks you up and flies you over. As soon as you touch down on the sand, the Carbink all stop what they're doing and turn toward you in unison. Their blue eyes peer at you alertly. Something doesn't feel right.






Suddenly, without any provocation, the Carbink start unleashing a volley of Power Gems at you. Squawking in surprise, Animiki leaps in front of you bravely. The attacks start colliding with your Zapdos one after the next. The damage escalates quickly.
