It was at Nekocon 2002 ^_^ And Dragon Knights is a manga... no series yet, sadly. The art is gorgeous though, you might like it... Here's some info on it

I'll have pictures from Katsucon soon... Going in two weeks. I'll be dressed as Tomoe Tsukishiro from the Kenshin OAV. ^_^ I'll post pictures as soon as I get them.

Cool! In april, im going to Sakuracon with at least 4 costumes. When I get pictures back from the convention, I'll show them to you as well ^^; I'd post them here, but some people get uncomfortable when they see my cosplay because I crossplay. lol

Crossplay is fun though... I'm planning to go to the next Otakon as Harry McDougal ^_^ I'm going to carry a huge bouquet of roses and run after any Melfina's I see screaming "Why can't I make you understand?"
Ah, fun. Add that to my Rin costume, and my Goth Rin... I'm going to be hanging around with a Goth Sessh, so I get to have some fun too. I think I'll open a cosplay sticky in Other Anime. Then everyone can see the beauty of it! *scampers off to Other Anime*

Crossplay is basically Cosplay, except you cosplay the opposite gender. It's a term developed in the cosplay world because it's very common for men and women to cross-dress when they cosplay. It's common because most of the reasons one cosplays is to cosplay their favorite characters, and a lot of people have favorite characters that are the opposite gender to themselves.

What makes you think that it's normal to make fun of a cosplayer? That's not something normal people do: it's something jerks do. Most people at anime conventions cosplay, and a lot of them crossplay. It's one of the more entertaining parts, as far as I'm concerned. It's an incredible talent to be able to make a detailed costume, and it can be either very amusing or very beautiful, depending on the costume and the person. I know I look absolutely nothing like Cesia, but I think my dress was beautiful: beautifully made and designed. It's part of the fun and camraderie of being a fan of anything. Does anyone pick on sports fans when they wear a jersey for their favorite team?
No. So why make fun of an anime fan for dressing like their favorite character? Actually, walking the streets of Baltimore not only in full costume myself, but with a big group of people in costume, people asked us where we were going, and seemed very interested. We all had our pictures taken numerous times, and it was a lot of fun. A lot of people go to conventions for the express purpose of cosplaying and seeing other cosplayers. Just because it's fun.

Mike, I personally think you need to just give it a rest. No one REALLY cares that you don't like Nine's cosplay. The only thing people should see in your posts is that you're just, plain and simply, an idiot. Now until this, and another episode with a friend of mine, which I wont say anything about, I was cool with you. But you just continue to screw around with everyone you possibly can because you are a MOD. I personally think you abuse your power a little bit. I'm fairly confident that others agree with me. I think you need to come off your damn high horse and face reality-- You're not the only damn person on this earth and from what I gather from others, no one cares about your damn opinions! Have you no pride? To feed your enormous ego, must you constantly pick on others whom you consider lower or not as good as yourself? I have a feeling you've just whined your way to the top in everything. Actually, I agree whole-heartedly with you, Konspiracy Theory. TMM does, indeed, act as if he is above everyone else, and is the first to make fun or put others down when there is something he doesn't like.

The fact is, he goes around other topics and attempts to make others look stupid or bad for having opinions that differ from his own; he constantly, from what I've seen, plays the victim, and then acts as if it's everyone else with the problem.

A good example is when he posted in my "Americanisms" topic - I expressly made it clear that there was no anti-American sentiment behind the thread, and if the mods thought that there was, or if it could turn that way, then they should shut down the topic. Did they? No. In fact, one posted their own opinions in the topic, too.

TMM likes to play the victim, as if everyone is against him, and this is especially apparent in forums where he has no moderating power.

He is the first, however, to put others down when he does have the power to do so - in a topic in R/S, about Pokémon names, I believe, I attempted to stop a flamewar before it began. In comes TMM, and tells me to stop acting as if I have moderating power, and that I should just stick to what I'm there for, rather than trying to exercise some diplomacy (which, apparently, is only for mods too, if you listen to TMM). Now, that post of his was unneeded, really, and I was actually trying to stop the flamewar before the mods had to become involved. Could he see that? No, apparently not. Azura Stardust, however, could see that I was trying to stop what could develop into a hostile situation, and told TMM about it. And there was no response from him. He mustn't have liked it very much - it was an undermining of his "power", and apparently that isn't allowed.

And this attack on Ninetales is just another example of him abusing his power. He can't stand things that he can't control, and so speaks up against them and asserts himself as "better" than the person he is in opposition against. That is pathetic.

Personally, I respect Ninetales' willingness to be himself and show others who he is and what he's like. He's funny and willing to make a mockery of himself in public (which is something that TMM seems to be unwilling to do and yet succeeds quite well at), and for that I respect him and who he is.

No, TMM, Konspiracy Theory has not blown your posts out of proportion - it is your own behaviour that leads to people having these feelings against you, not them. You are to blame - stop playing the victim and act with a little more maturity.

I think it's time, TMM, that you began to realise that you aren't better than everyone else - you need to realise that your opinions are no more right than other people's, and that you don't have anymore rights than they do. You need to learn that just because you are a mod does not make you exempt from the rules of any forum, including your own. What you are doing is setting up for yourself an image of hypocrisy and abuse of power; and it isn't us with the problem, it's you.

I don't know what you call it, but back where I'm from, we have a certain name for things that people say that doesn't neccasarily reflect the entire worlds view and cannot be proven or disproven. It's "opinion".

f anything it's the other way around - you always seem to have something to say about my posts, and I can't recall any of them being pleasant. But I must be following you around, of course.

And what's this about Modern Casualty? What's so wrong with him? Are you inferring that I am like him, and that you don't like the sound of me because of that? It's a tad presumptuous of you to think you know what I'm like and what I will be like - you must be basing your opinions of me on someone else, which is totally ludicrous - two different people are two different people - and what you think one is like isn't necessarily what the other is like.
And if you are somehow under the impression that I dislike MC, and that is your point, then, once again, you are being presumptuous. You don't know whom I like and dislike, really - you're attempting to make your case based on information you've blindly plucked from the air.

And just a word on opinion - opinion is, indeed, a personal thing, and doesn't always equal the real situation, and I know this. But if you don't want to believe that I don't, then you yourself are even more guilty of being ignorant of this. You aren't always right, either, but you seem, how could I put this, so against admitting it that it's what many of the people on this forum think when they read "The Muffin Man". That, and aside from many other things that I need not mention, as I'm sure you know them already.

Well, it's actually me crossplaying Naga from Slayers, but I will refer to the more common term of dressing in drag for this disclaimer. For those who doesn't know what "Dressing in Drag" means, it means that I'm a male wearing women’s clothing. Ok, this is me in my Naga costume. It's just from the chest - up, because a lot of the costume isn't finished. You may notice lack of necklace, sholder pads, proper cape, and tiara.. but those are on the way! Oh, btw, don't worry because I'm wearing a body suit and the proper atire under that.

I badly badly badly badly badly BADLY need a digital camera. OR EVEN A FRIGGIN _NORMAL_ CAMERA... we have absolutely no cameras whatsoever in the house ;.; and I just remembered I haven't done my homework.

Oh well, a clearer description of me will do for now.

My body in general: Last time I checked somewhere a few week ago, I'm 161 cm (I THINK.. 16something anyway~) and am 45 kilos. I look heavier than I am. :x I've unfortunately inherited a huge butt... and am still pissed at it

it looks ok if I wear certain clothes, though. Other than that I'm quite slim. Not much flab, no fat. Yay. I'm well-proportioned. (Except for that damned-to-worse-than-hell butt.)

mah leg area: Fairly nice legs, actually. ;o Thighs a little thick at top, they look weird with me butt. I have got leg hair but it's pretty ok - I've got a "hairy" gene from my dad, who has no limit to the amount of chest hair he has. @_@ It's all smooth and thin anyway, so it's not too bad. I wuv my calves! They're all slim and stuff. Knees - no comment. Why do we have knees. My feet are TERRIBLE. They're huge - I dont know exactly how huge, but pretty big (They don't look it, though!). My toenails are absolute crap. They are incredibly short and jagged, I dunno why, and they are simply YUCK! I try avoiding my toenails as much as possible. Seriously, they turn one off. And as for marks and stuff, I have a birthmark on one of my calves, and at a FEW parts of my thigh I have old chicken pox marks which don't look toooo bad. Yeah.

The middle: I am proud to say I have a slim waist ^.^ I'm pretty flat and ok in the stomach area, but it's starting to get dangerously close to becoming a little flabby. Uh-oh. I have a nice birthmark right in the middle!

And as for my chest, don't friggin ask. I'm 14 in June, btw. ;P I like my back, it's not curved too much but still pretty ok. I don't think there are any marks. Smooth.

arms: one of the thinnest parts of me. I find it very strange. My fingernails are bitten :X I'm trying to get out of the habit but its so hard!... My fingers woudl look lots nicer. Anyway, they're fairly long and they can type on invisible keyboards! Er yeah wow. Rather bony wrist. In fact, it's just skin and bone. I guess it looks ok, but sometimes pretty lame if my hand looks wideish. My lower arm is quite hairy, but I can live with it, and there's basically NO flab at all. Just a lil' muscle, skin and bones. :] My upper arm is pretty much the same. However, my armpits are terrible. They're starting to stink

And due to that !@#$ hairy gene, I can't even shave it without it growing back in almost no time. I have to frequently put liberal amounts of shampoo and soap to it. My shoulders are a bit bony but they're quite ok.

skin: I'm Sri Lankan, and my skin is brown. Hm, now which brown... it's hard to say. Depends on the light. It's fairly dark - a bit lighter than the one in the photo I showed. (thats got too much shadow in it.) Proud to say it has no marks except from a chicken pox evil thing I got when I was 8 -_-; and one injection mark on my left shoulder. It's fairly hairy in some places, though. $:\$

face:
-eyes Whoa I have teh beeg eis :x The eyesight degree is 450 550 (dont know which one is which) and I have to wear specs. My specs rule though. They don't have the uuber expensive lenses from Germany (forgot the brand) but they have Seiko ones from japan. the frame is really cool too. I look really great with those specs, compared to my old ones which I kept since 10 and only finished using recently. My eyes are big and black (you'd say dark brown), I apparently have pretty eyelashes according to my cousin, and I can reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally look into your eyes >=) O_____O Unfortunately they've got slight eye bags and my eyelid looks like its always got mascara. My eyes are a bit sunken in

my eyebrows SUCK. They're quite thick and hairy. Don't worry, they're not too bad...

-nose They're getting prickly heats! Oh crap! And it's getting mighty oily too. It's average nose. Nothing special. No, you can't see the nose hair.

-mouth Not too red or anything. Blah. Boring. I have a crooked tooth that grew sideways and my mum is hesistant to put on braces and I'm like "HELLO CAN WE GET THEM LIEK NOW"... usually its vice-versa! LOL!

-ears I got earholes (only one in each ear tho), and my ears are also boring! yay gomeness. They stick out only a little bit.

-face skin WOOHOO NO PIMPLES! Its a pretty nice skin. You can feel minute hairs on it, it's very smooth and very soft ^.^ One of the few things I'm proud of!!

-hair EURGH. My hair gives me loads of trouble. ;.; Right now it's middle-neck-length... It's black, and quite curly, and can get EXTREMELY frizzy.. It looks nice if I brush it a lot. And I mean lot. And I have to tie it up or else I look like a monster. So short and its impossible to wash.... I want to get it rebonded! A lot of hair sticks out / frizzes out, but sometimes its nice. SOMETIMES.
