Hey guys, some news from me.

I've been working my butt off in recent weeks to get various copies of my artwork 'up to par' so that I can sell them. Today, I got the first batch of Prints made, and let me say, they are SHINY! They all came out great (with some minor tweaks here and there I'm going to go discuss with them on Thursday), and I'll be going to my First Con in the Artist Alley at SoDak in Rapid City, SD next month, with the next one in Sioux Falls (hopefully), and others along the way!

So I'm really excited, and maybe this will be the break I need to stop delivering tacos and start focusing on Art and Paleontology (I'll be spending my time not drawing to research and publications).

All right, summer is here. At least according to the thread title. Now I have two ideas for matches, and the first one of them, well, I was too slow realizing it, it might be too late to post it now.

Anyway, it would have been an ice hockey Pokemon battle, like 3 on 3 or something, the battlefield being an ice hockey rink. But I figured out I should have started it earlier, it might take too long, too long since the IIHF Championship 2012 Helsinki Stockholm ends already next week.

Another idea, on the other hand, would be a huge Dragon Type Pokemon Battle since this is the year of Dragon according to the Chinese calendar. I should post that soon.

Blade: Actually, yes it is. One can sell fan work via parody and creative commons. As well as major producers of said media that the fan work is based upon don't really care so long as you're not making t-shirts, buttons, or the like (cuz real money is in merchandising...). Many consider it free advertising. There's also the issue of style, where if you make the piece too close to the original style it can bring in some copyright issues (tracing and such).

If they didn't Artist Alley spots wouldn't be so competitive and most of the work produced wouldn't be fan art.

Not that I'm affected, of course - I live up north and don't bother with gardening. Niether do my parents other than keeping the grass cut. In fact, the only use the hosepipe gets is washing the car. Woo! xD

we, over in texas had a burn ban, a fireworks ban, and a water ration, almost none of which anyone payed any attention to (aside from the water ration)

Actually that's correct. All aspects of using water during a drought under a 'water-ban' is basically being heavily restricted. Which DOES include watering the lawn, washing the car, laundry, and shower length. You get penalized if you use too much. It's nuts!

yes but that's in arabic we're speaking english in which the sahara is a large desert somewhere... we're not sure where we just know it's very big and probably has some ruins in it
