The path they follow seems quite quick. Mega stops however, and allows your Pokemon to take point. Seems the Lake is not too far away. But Mega is smelling the air. Something's not right. You note it, and look as Bayleaf also smells the air.

Raff begins by spinning on the spot, releasing a golden cloud of some nasty spores. This time, the move makes contact with Ariados and causes his muscles to become stiff and noncompliant. This could definitely give you an edge. The buggy tries to execute an attack, but his weak legs give out an he crumples. Hah!

Thrilled, Raff coats the Ariados in Acid, but the warning shot does nothing to dull his battle frenzy. He counters by glowing red and hoisting the poor little Vileplume up into the air with invisible Psychic waves, shaking her about painfully. Raff tries to fire off a green sphere of energy as she's being shaken about, but she can't manage to pinpoint her target and the attack flies off somewhere into the trees.

Suddenly, bright white energy begins to accumulate in front of Ariados. Uh-oh. Is that what I think it is? Raff squirms within her invisible Psychic bounds, but there's nothing she can do as the Hyper Beam careens her way...

...but doesn't make contact! At the last second, the little Ledyba dives in front of the beam's path, taking the hit for Raff. The little ladybug Pokemon collapses to the ground. Talk about dedication!

Well then. You show no fear as you march out toward the treeline. As you get out there, you spot the massive Rock Pokemon, as well as the immense Ivy Lake. The Ramparados is looking out to the lake, and around it are all sorts of rubble, possible from some rock that used to stand there. You call out to it, and the Bayleef stands in front of you, head leaf kinda getting in the way there...

The beast looks pissed off, but it doesn't barrel toward you. You notice its soaking wet, like it just came back from a swim. It shakes its head and..falls over? But its still very much awake and very much aware, as it rights itself.

Grumpus tries to stay still as Nutri joins in the fray. Nutri shakes those hips, and then releases a nice trail of sweet honey smelling scent to calm Grumpus down. Banette ignoring Nutri, went and capitalized on a free hit by smacking Grumpus with a Will-o-Wisp. That's nasty. But Grumpus was soon to vanish, and reappeared, smacking Banette down on its face.

Banette regrouped, and lashed out with a Shadowball again, but poof-this time Grumpus has the advantage. He vanished, and Banette turned over to see nothing but graves and a Bellossom looking up. Banette looked up and receives claws raking her face! Coupled with a nasty set of slashes, and Banette had no other choice but to deliver a nice hefty Payback!

Damn. Grumpus always lands on his back! And that burn was not helpful.

Your Pokemon run to your side, and Ramparados gets up. Seeing the menagerie of beasts near him, he roars. No one moves, as Meganium walks up slowly. Booster, having the hardest head, walks up and butts his head into the ground, smashing a rock. The Ramparados looks at this gesture as an act of kindness and looks down to listen to Booster.

Whats wrong? Ramparados looks back to Ivy Lake, and roars. It then tells Booster. All the Pokemon then stare at it, and burst out laughing. Booster tells you that this guy was fighting in an underwater cave structure with his bother, and they broke a hole in the wall. He plugged the hole with his tail, but was pulled through a wall by some sea creature, sucked out by the current, and then spat out up here. All in all, he wants to bash that sea creature!!!!

Booster looks at Ramparados, and asks if revenge is something its interested in. Ramparados exclaims with joy, and looks to you and your motley crew. They can't go in via the lake, but maybe in the Woods there is another way in...

Nutrigrow just watched carefully as Grumpus set itself up. Banette was a bit sore of the battle right now, but this Weavile was getting on its nerves. Shadowballs weren't cutting it. But when the Icy Blast of wind came, Banette dove right through and punched Grumpus straight in the face! Grumpus staggered back, even for a resistance, that hurt.

Grumpus hisses and lunges for the phantom, but it vanished! Damnit! Grumpus turned around and yep-dropkicked to the face. Nutrigrow laughed at this fight, it was so off kilter. Grumpus rolled over its head and flipped to his feet, before backflipping over Banette and slashing its face from the air.

Banette fell backwards as Grumpus landed, but the phantom was not out of tricks yet. It laughed and seemed to stab itself! But now Grumpus felt horribly sick.

As Ledyba falls to the ground, Raff tries some sort of health-saving measure, but the Five Star Pokemon seems too concerned for her sisters and politely refuses. She flies back up and targets Ariados with an ear-splitting Screech. Yeowch! Who knew the little buggy could pack such a shriek?

Despite his less-than-stellar odds, Ariados spews out a Sludge Bomb at Raff. The wily Vileplume counters by strutting about, angering the big bag arachnid to the point that he enters into a Confused rage. He begins stumbling and fires off another Sludge Bomb, this one aimed at Ledyba. The move strikes the little bug and... uh-oh, bud, you shouldn't have done that. Suffused in white light, Ledyba begins to change shape. Her frame grows rapidly and, when the light subsides, you feast your eyes upon the Ledian she has become.

And now it's payback time. Just as Raff begins to charge up a Hyper Beam, Ledian does the same. Ariados gulps. Shit. The two Hyper Beams hiss through the air and collide with Ariados, launching him into the trunk of a large tree. The rippling shock waves sent back from such a powerful move disintegrate the Spider Web keeping the remaining two Ledybas hostage. Freedom!

Realizing that it's now six Pokemon against one, Ariados decides that it's time to get the hell out of here. He spins around on a dime, running as far away from you as possible. A couple of Burmys sitting up in a tree who'd been spectating the battle chortle as the spider departs. Ledian embraces her Ledyba sisters.

Seeing as how everything is working out well, you point to Booster, and Booster steps aside. Rampardos bashes towards the south end of the woods, and you 4 follow. You stop noting Bayleef not following you. It stays with its mom. You nod and head after the Ramparados, before it gets too far.

As you run through these foggy woods, you notice Spinaraks and Metapods in the trees. a Tangela dashes by, and Ramparados stepped on a Paras as it charges though.

Grumpus fell back to the wayside, as Nutri now steps up. Banette smirks, but then realizes this is not good. a green halo covers it for a instant, before some health gets ripped away. Banette charges up a Shadowball, and flings it, slamming it into Nutri.

Pretty weak, you whip that Greatball at Banette and watch it hit. It sucks Banette in and then plops to the ground.

The thrashing beast is not hard to keep up with, and yet, you find yourself running blindly through a fog. Your Pokemon barely keep up, and Yanma's are buzzing all around you. Or is that a Beedrill. Its so hard to see you can't care to check.

You come to a stop, catching your breath because the sound of a big beast breaking trees stopped. You look, and notice a set of red eyes glaring at you. You jump back, and Rampardos lowers his head close enough for you to see him. He then turns to look at the wall in front of him.

You walk up to this structure, and feel that its cold. Steel? It seems pretty thick, but Rampardos is already backing up...and throttling past you. A massive thud and one door gets bent in severly. Rampardos gives it another hit and the door is shattered off its hinges, flying in a few yards. It plods in slowly, as your Pokemon follow. Booster slams his head against the still standing door, acting like it helped.

Rampardos stops, noting there are two corridors. It slaps its tail against one of the walls, the one where more water lies on the ground. You can see evidence of something already being through here..

Fearless. Determined. Adventure. Searching. All these words trickle through your mind as you walk down to a lower level. Ram is right behind you, and you spot another Magnemite glare at you, before beeping away. You keep going down, and realize that you have to be pretty deep underground.

So deep in fact, that when you round the next bend, you swear the walls are alive. Ram stops and your Pokemon dive out in front, and wind up being covered in Kabuto! You distinctly hear bubbles gushing up ahead, as well as notice there are alot more puddles and even some area where water partially fills to your knees.

A Thunder blasted forth, and almost instantly, something lunged out. It rocketed forth and struck Big Show in the chest. It was a Ice Beam. Big Show lurched backwards, hurt!

Rampardos growled. There it was, in the deep water. All you could make out was antennae...

Kingdra watches from the deeper part of this tunnel as Big Show and Booster take to the forefront. Big Show fires a second Thunder, that forces Kingdra to fire a Dragonbreath. It singes Booster instead of Big Show, but also leaves him paralyzed.

Big show rallies more Thunder tosses into the water, forcing Kingdra to actually exit into shallow waters! Rampardos waits for the second Thunder residual effects to wear off, before charging in hard, Double Edge all the way. Kingdra is smacked back in the water as Booster recovers.

Kingdra swims back and fires a Hydro Pump at Ram, who takes the hit full force. This thing was being a giant nuisance. Booster however, dives in front of Big Show stopping him from firing that last Thunder? Wtf? Rampardos dashes in and delivers a nasty Head Smash that puts Kingdra down for the moment in the shallows.

Booster stands in front of the Kingdra, and glares at you. Something isn't right....

Buzzer steps up to the plate, ready to kick a little Ledian behind. She starts by commanding an onslaught of rocks to tumble down from the sky, and ow, do those ever hurt! Poor Ledian is left in a daze but manages to keep things together enough to let out a high-pitched wail. The noise addles Buzzer's brain a bit and, yeah, he's left Confused.

She tries to attack, but instead picks up one of the boulders left over from the Rock Slide and begins hammering herself over the head with it. Ow! Ledian spots this opportunity to strike and swoops in with a series of rapid punches that rack up some quick damage.

As Buzzer's head continues to swirl, she decides to cut her losses and gets in one last quick swipe at Ledian and retreats, healing her Confusion. It's la Bella's turn to take a crack at things. Ledian identifies her new opponent and swoops in with a speedy Tackle that deals minimal damage.

Watching the sun hang high in the sky for a bit as you take in the scenery from the top of the mountain you get back up and take a deep breath. You hear a shuffling coming from behind you and notice a Geodude rolling around doing some weird stuff.
