I will continue on my way.

    AYEUN'S SAFARI ADVENTCHA!

    ‡ Pre-Round ‡

    1 Great Ball
    1 Pokeball

    ‡ Round 38 ‡

Raff tilts her head and lets out a plume of gold powder that settles upon poor Piplup and causes her muscles to seize up. Still, she manages to get her head in the game by coughing out a massive swell of Mist that obscures her position. Raff squints, trying to identify her target, and tries to Giga Drain... something... but only manages to wrap her tendrils around a rock. Drat. Piplup then appears (on her feet, too! Wow!) and shoots off a well-aimed Ice Beam at Raff, sending a chill through the Vileplume.

Suddenly, ice crystals form around her and... no, you're kidding me. Frozen. Solid.

So much for an easy battle.

Piplup then tries to score a free hit, but the Paralysis does its thang.

I'll pocket the pokeball (while scaring the Sandshrew off with Lief's Roar if need be) and keep looking around.

Since I have a Phanpy, I will continue on my way.

    AYEUN'S SAFARI ADVENTCHA!

    ‡ Pre-Round ‡

    1 Great Ball
    1 Pokeball

    ‡ Round 39 ‡

Since Raff has been turned into a Vileplumcicle, it's time to cut your losses and make a switch. It's Bella's turn to tango and the Milotic brings her tail swinging down against Piplup, though the typing doesn't work in her favour. Unfazed, Piplup tackles Bella head-on and drives her beak into the Milotic's side. Ouchies.

Ready to get some vengeance for that one, Bella then lets out a pulse of Dragon-type energy. Ouchies! Piplup, meanwhile, strikes with a mighty Brick Break. The little penguin packs quite a punch!

Bored with the proceedings, Swinub yawns and wanders off, clearly disinterested. Piplup looks hurt and is suddenly too distracted to do much about the surprise energy blast flying her way. The Poison-type discharge knocks Piplup on her back, dazing her. What a rough day.

Now that Piplup is on her lonesome, she seems to have lost the will to fight... either that, or the Paralysis really is getting her down. One Giga Impact followed by a Hyper Beam (but not before a recharge in between!) seems to sap the last of her fighting spirit.

Bella calls out triumphantly into the cave. I am Milotic! Hear me roar!

Serene enough, you continue on, following until you reach the edge of the beach. Looking behind you, that ancient temple towers well above anything you've ever seen before. It probably scrapes the sky. You continue marching along, and spy a Raichu shocking the immediate ocean. It takes a bit, but a Feraligatr comes bobbing to the surface, half dazed and angry. It chomps at the Raichu whom backs away and teases the reptile.

Looking toward the temple, you notice a thin sandy patch heading up toward the western side of the Temple, and a small sandstorm of sorts a few meters away.

    What do you do?

    Lotta bugs

Booster sets the joyous bug down and it considers your request, before flying off slowly toward the southwest-deeper in the fog. You all follow it, Big Show warily watching an Aipom that poked its head out of a tree.

The Nincada flutters slowly-merely doing its own thing. Weepingbells hang on the tree branches here as well as Kakuna. Big Show spots a green object and runs to grab it, thinking its an apple.

When he runs back to you, you realize he tried to eat a Natu. Ha.

With Piplup down and defeated, both physically and morally, your next move is a no-brainer. You give your Pokeball a toss and it captures the little penguin in a bright red light, sucking her inside. The ball closes and lands on the ground, wiggling.

Once, twice, three time's the charm. Consider this little guy caught.

Sil, use Odor Sleuth to try to find a scent like that pupitar. If you can, take lead and we'll fallow you. If not we'll pick a random tunnel to explore.

Aha, a Lickilicky. I remember using one in my tournament battle with Blademaster, but the time has come for me to get one of my own (being that other Lickilicky is Green Lanturn's).

I'm not going to let it get away that easily, Surge, come on out and sneak up close behind it before letting it have a taste of your close range Zap Cannon (put those electrified hands on its back first, and let that spark fly!), then use Low Kick twice.

    ‡ Pre-Round ‡

    1 Great Ball

    ‡ Round 42 ‡

Piplup's Pokeball vanishes on the spot and returns to the front desk. With Raff encased in ice and Bella feeling a little on the exhausted side, you return them to their respective balls and send them back to the front desk as well to keep Ledian company. Now that it's just you and Buzzer, you're ready to set your sights on that last capture.

Hoping aboard your Flygon, the pair of you zip off out of the cave and into the air. You peer down at the landscape below, watching as you pass over the pond and... ah, yes, another familiar destination. Buzzer descends upon Ivy Woods once more. Oh, the memories.

You return to the edge of the forest where you began your quest, though the locals have changed, you notice. A few Wurmples seem to be having a conversation while, a few feet away, a Gloom and a Nincada appear to be battling. Ooh.

Meanwhile, a flock of Spearows led by a single Fearow fly by overhead.

Surge, time to change tactics, now that the Lickilicky is on the ground rolling in pain, he's just where we want him before we try to catch him, so Cross Chop a couple of times, if he's weak enough to be captured I'll use a Great Ball, otherwise, Surge, give him a third Cross Chop and get him as close to fainting as possible, without knocking him out though.
