Round 81


With pinkyta flaring her mane up a bit, you decide to stick the sharp stick into it. This begins to char the outside of it a bit, but you begin rotating it rotissery-style. This succeeds in making sure the entire stick hardens up and becomes a bit more sturdy (stick used harden...?). The only problem that arises from this, though, is that the stick is now pink. How does that work?

With that done, you walk over to a lileep and whack it upon the head with your stick (...).


"OW," The lileep yelps in response, "WHY the heck did you DO that!?"
Some vines come out of nowhere and begin to rub the spot where you hit the lileep.
"Ugh! Who goes around through random places and just HITS someone randomly with a stick!? OW! YEESH! That HURTS! Ow! Ow! Gosh, I can't even touch it, it hurts so much! Ow! Oh man, OW!"


One of the other two lileep inches over to the injured one. "Oh my god, Josh, are you alright?"

"Does it look like I'm alright, Joe?! I think it's beginning to form a bump. OW!" Josh continues to poke and prod the injured spot.

"Oh god, that looks painful! I can't even look at it, it looks so bad!"

"I know, right? I'm in SO much pain right now! OW"

"Wow, who would do such a thing to an innocent pokemon?"

"I know, right? It's just cruel and unusual!"

"We need to get you help or something, dude, because that looks like it might be bleeding."

"Oh no, I hate blood! I don't wanna die! I have so much to live for! So much dirt to absorb nutrients from!"

"I won't let you die, dude! I'm gonna get you help, alright? Come on, let's go!"

Then the two lileep disappear into the dirt, away from your sight. The third lileep, looking at you in fear with the other two gone, decides to leave as well.

Well, I guess that was... productive?


Pinkie smirks a bit and says, "Who goes around doing random stuff like that, anyway?" In what you perceive to be a condescending tone.

Round 82

You hold up one of the many sticks lying around to pinkyta, and she uses a flamethrower to set one end on fire. You drop the flaming stick down into the hole, and shortly after you can hear it hit the bottom. Looks like the hole isn't very deep.

You can see some dim light from the torch at the bottom, but you can't make out anything specific. As far as you can tell, the floor at the bottom of the hole is bare of anything.


What next?

Round 83


You jump down the hole (While having an EXTREME urge to yell), and land at the bottom of what appears to be a giant cavern. It's plenty dark in the cavern, even when pinkyta and her fiery mane hops down with Leo to join you.

You can see plenty of what appear to be pillars throughout the cavern, and a thick fog blankets the floor.

Suddenly, you have a distinct urge to look up.


What next?
-Look up?
-Look down?
-Oh who are you kidding? You're gonna look up.

Round 84


Following your instincts, you dare to look up. You see a shadow on the ceiling of the cavern. Pinkyta decides to add some more light by flaring her mane a bit. It is then that you make out the full form of the shadow.

Only for that shadow to fall from said ceiling.

Once the shadow hits the floor, you see the creature clearly for what it is.

It seems to be an Ariados, but it's apparently mutated in some kind of way that makes it look much more intimidating than a regular ariados. And it looks like it's about to attack!

Round 85


You try and reason with Ariadohma, but it's like it was made to fight you. It spits some webbing at you, and you just barely dive out of the way.

Using your gloves, you and Leo figure you can use stone edge. However, the best you can do is some pick up some loose pebbles and toss them at Ariadohma, which really doesn't do nearly as much as you had previously hoped. It simply jumps over to you and Leo and knocks you both aside.

Pinkyta spits some flame at it, though, and some progress is made! And it actually causes a burn! Oddly enough, it actually causes an alarming orange and yellow spot-that-looks-oddly-like-an-eye-somehow to appear on its back.

Round 86


You and leo make a beeline for the swelling on Ariadohma's back, but he won't have any of that.
The next thing you know, Ariadohma appears in front of the both of you and sucker punches you both out of the way.

Before Pinkyta can spit fire at him, Ariadohma jumps up to the ceiling of the cavern.
He begins to crawl around up there while dropping what appears to be... eggs?

Ewww. that doesn't seem healthy. You don't think you want to know what's within them.


What next?
-Go after Gohma?
-Get rid of those eggs?

Round 87

Using your gloves, you and Leo conjure up (admittedly below-average, considering one glove each) two aura spheres that you both fire at the weak point in Ariadohma's back.
Upon contact, the ariados shrieks in pain before falling down to the ground on his back.

As if in response, the eggs begin to shake.
However, Pinkyta stops them by breaking the eggs one by one.
Ariadohma lies there while flailing around in an attempt to get back on his feet.
It won't be long before he manages to get up.

Round 88

You issue your orders to Pinkyta, and she begins to stomp the spider's underbelly.

Meanwhile, you and leo charge up your respective spheres. Once you both charge them, you combine both your spheres into one Aura Sphere/Focus Blast.

Just in time, too, because Ariadohma recovers from his daze and bats Pinkyta aside as if she were nothing. In an instant, he rolls back onto his legs.

Bad move, because now his weak spot is wide open.
You and leo, attacks combined, launch your sphere at Ariadohma. The sphere careens around pillars while Ariadohma attempts to flee. However, as the attack has the traits of an aura sphere, there is no escape. The Aura Blast collides with Ariadohma's weak point, and he screams in utter agony. The attacks seem to be overwhelming him, and he shoots webbing at both Leo and Pinkyta that succeeds in keeping them pinned. Even Pinkyta's flame can't seem to burn through it.

Even though you and ariadohma are the last two currently standing, it seems your opponent is down to his last bit of energy. For sure, one attack will finish him off.


It looks like it's all up to you.

Round 89


Seeing no other option than to go it alone, you begin to charge up an aura sphere. Once the Aura sphere is charged up, you launch it at the ground in front of Ariadohma.
Once the Sphere explodes, it gives off a brief flash effect that seems to stun the spider for some discernible reason.

You see this as an opening for the final blow. You look around for any stray bones on the floor of the cavern, but after finding none, you brandish the sharp stick that you brought into the cave.
Going off at a sprint, you jump towards Ariadohma, impromptu sword held above your head and pointed at the weak spot on the Spider's back. Time seems to slow down, with both of you locking glares.

Once time speeds up, you drive the sharp stick into the weak point on Ariadohma's back.
The giant beast gives one last piercing cry of pain and begins to thrash, throwing you off, while some strange music plays out of nowhere.

As the music plays out, Gohma Ariadohma's body begins to disintegrate, seeming to fade out of existence.

Once the corpse of your defeated foe disappears, the room brightens up a bit, and you can see throughout the chamber.

Your pokemon begin to stir, and they look around as well.

You can't see any sign of an emerald within this chamber. However, a ring of light does appear seemingly out of nowhere.


What next?
-Keep looking for the Emerald?
-Step into the ring of light?

Round 90

After looking around the room a bit more, the only thing you can find is a useless glass heart. You pick it up, but it literally does nothing. Until you accidentally drop it.

The effect is immediate. As soon as the glass heart hits the ground, red sparks begin to emanate from it, gravitating towards Pinkyta of all pokemon.
The red sparks start revolving around Pinkyta, and it seems that she is slowly rejuvenated by them. Any evidence of her injuries from the previous battle disappear.


YOU GOT A HEART CONTAINERRRRRRRRRRR
Your Life Energy has increased by 10% and been fully replenished!


The sparks soon go away, and Pinkyta says, "Wow. I suddenly feel stronger."

You're not entirely sure what just happened, but it must have done at least a little bit of good.
With nothing left to do in the cavern, you step into the ring of light.

As you come to your senses, you take a moment to adjust your eyes to the sudden light from the sun. Once your eyes completely adjust, you find that you are at the entrance of the tree, the old Whimsicott standing in front of you.


"So, it appears you have defeated the scourge of our tree. I assume you have some questions for me."


What next?
-Ask questions?
-Go back inside the tree for whatever reason?
-Punch the elder for sending you into the tree in the first place?

Round 91


You ask your questions, and the whimsicott nods in a sage-like manner.

"Concerning the Ariados you saw within that tree, let me tell you that it was no guardian. That Ariados used to be a resident within the tree. However, as of recently, he has been possessed by a dark power. He went by the name of "Ariadohma," and had mutated to a bizarre color, and adopted habits that most Ariados don't partake in.
This is most strange, considering this all started after three visitors appeared at the tree, seeking knowledge of the golden power..."

He then pauses for a bit, and looks off into the distance, as if seeing something that isn't there.

"As for the jewel, I have it within my possession. I sent you into the tree in order to test your capabilities, and you have performed well enough to prove you are capable of accepting the jewel. However, before I give you the Emerald of Lightning, I must ask you one question. I will give you the Emerald anyway, so please answer truthfully."

He bows his head down, deep in thought, then lifts his head slowly.

"What, in your eyes, is the true definition of courage?"

well I'd have to say that its pretty much the opposite of fear and it is what allows people to face dangerous circumstances for the sake of others.
on a side note the shirt I'm wearing says "confidence; the feeling you get before you fully understand the situation" and has a guy jumping off a cliff, this question made me think of that
btw old man you know of any temp cure for the burn of the gods? cause even if it only works in dungeons or something it would help (yes even if anything painted degrades upon leaving)

Round 92



"hmm. An interesting answer."

Out of the corner of your eye, for about a second, you notice a faint glow.
However, it disappears before you can investigate it.

"Now, here is the Emerald of Lightning."

He goes up to a point in front of the tree's entrance, and stabs his walking stick into the ground. A yellow glow arises from the ground around him, and several glowing lines flow from the ground around the stick to the tree.

The tree shakes a few times, then a glowing jewel slowly descends from the canopy of the tree.

You have discovered the Emerald of Lightning!
This emerald is one of three gems you need to collect.

Wait, what? Three?

The Whimsicott catches the emerald as it reaches the end of its descention, then he slowly walks back to you and says, "In your quest to restore your friends tail, you must gather three gems. The Emerald of Lightning, The Ruby of Fire, and the Sapphire of Ice."



Pinkyta then pipes up and says "OOH! Just like the Generation 3 Pokemon games!"

After everyone stares at her for a good few seconds, Whimsicott continues, "Anyway, your next destination will be the mountain of Ffeffni, for the Sapphire of Ice rests there. While you're there, please speak to the sage that resides there. He will give you information on where to go after that."

"Now, concerning your friend here," He nods to Leo, "Simply take the emerald, and it will help you with that, I assure you."

Round 93


You accept the Emerald and, as you make contact with it, it begins to glow with a golden and emerald light.
Once you pass the emerald off to Leo, the glow intensifies, and the burn on leo's tail also begins to glow.

Suddenly, an emerald beam of light is shot straight up into the sky from the emerald of lightning.
A few seconds pass, then the beam comes straight down on the burn on leo's tail. Leo's tail glows with a golden/emerald light, and she begins to cry out in obvious pain. The glows intensify, to a point where you have to look away. Soon, however, the glows dim, and you take a look at what happened to Leo.


You see Leo looking at her tail, and a grin spreads across her face as she sees the bit of green that has now appeared on her tail. She begins hopping around in joy at the sight of her tail's improvement.

You turn back to the Whimsicott elder to get an explanation, and he says,

"Sadly, your friend's tail isn't fully recovered. You need all three of the gems to reach the sanctuary that holds the items that will fully restore her tail."

You see Leo sadden a little bit at that.

"However, the emerald of lightning has granted the usage of sketch for certain moves that the emerald holds power over. I assume you understand the type of moves I'm talking about. If you want to test out these capabilities, simply ask any of the joltik that are hanging around this tree."

"Now, as for how to get to Ffeffni. Simply travel directly northeast, and you will eventually reach the mountain."

Round 94

Not wanting to stick around much longer, you and Leo hop onto pinkie to set off to the NorthWest.

"One more thing."

You stop and turn back to the Whimsicott that has addressed you once more.



"I would like you to keep this in mind. There are dark forces at work throughout the Safari Zone. Many pokemon that once were harmless will seek to halt your progress in this journey you now have. I feel that whoever cast this curse upon your pokemon is also the one that sent that scourge upon our wondrous tree. I advise you to be careful in your travels, for there are certain to be many trials ahead."

And, with that ominous word hanging in the air over your head like a dark cloud, you start heading Northwest. You and Pinkyta manage to strike up various conversations, some of the topics being "What kind of Pie is the best kind," and "How to throw the best party."

Soon, the grassy landscape transforms into one that gradually turns to that of a frigid landscape. Thankfully, riding on a Ponyta has the perk of being warmed by the flames on her back the whole time, so you're not at all bothered by the now-cold climate.

"I think we're almost there," Pinkyta says. "We're coming up on some mountains. Ffeffni mountain is probably around here somewhere."

Indeed, ahead of you are some perilously tall mountains, one of them most likely being the mountain of Ffeffni. But which one could it be?

Around you, you notice some pokemon strolling around in the snow, some of them daring to inch toward the warmth that is your not-so-valiant steed.

Round 95

After gathering up some stray twigs that are laying about the area, you have Pinkyta light a small fire. Two raticate that were strolling around see your fire, and they quickly huddle near it, blocking the wind from putting it out.


"Thanks, kind sir." one of the raticate says while huddled near the fire. "There aren't that many fire types outside of the mountains, and it has gotten so cold as of late, so it's nice to have a warm fire to gather around while we forage for food."
The other raticate continues by saying, "If there's anything you need, we'll assist you in any way we can."

You ask them about how to get to Ffeffni Mountain, and they both look at each other with strange looks on their faces.

They turn back to you, and one of them says, "Well, whatever business you may have there, you'd best be staying away from that mountain for now.
There are some strange things happening there right now."

Round 96

"Well, I don't know what you can do to help," The first raticate says. "But I guess it's your funeral. Sure, we'll tell you."
The other raticate continues. "Well, it started a few weeks ago. Apparently, this small group of strange pokemon showed up at the shrine on top of Ffeffni Mountain, asking the elder about a... umm, was it a golden flower?"

The first raticate bops him on the head and says, "It was golden POWER, not golden FLOWER, you numbskull." He then turns back to you and continues. "Anyway, according to our source, before the pokemon left the area, one of them cast a curse on the mountain. The guardian of the mountain has apparently gone wicked, and now there's a perpetual blizzard throughout the whole mountain. And now, it seems, the cold of the blizzard is beginning to spread to the other mountains."

"If you're really here to help solve this, we'll guide you to Ffeffni mountain, if you really need to. Our mountain is near Ffeffni, anyway, so it's pretty much on the way home."


What next?

Ffeffni Mountain
This large mountain is very cold and has biting winds nipping around.
There is a layer of snow falling and many ice types can be found here.
Also look for hardier bird Pokemon and a variety of tough foes.


Round 97

And so, you and your Raticate stray from the fire, and you all begin your trek to Ffeffni Mountain.

Surprisingly enough, the trek doesn't take too long. At most, it takes about an hour. You literally only have to climb over one tall hill before you spot the mountain that, as far as you can tell, is obviously Ffeffni Mountain.

From your viewpoint, you can see that there is a wall of pure white surrounding the mountain, giving you the assumption that, yes, that is Ffeffni, and that is probably the blizzard that the raticate spoke of.



"Well, that's Ffeffni. I don't know how you're going to get up it through that blizzard, but I wish you the best of luck. The mountain that we live in is just beyond that, so if you need any more help, don't be afraid to take a short trek to our neck of the mountains."

With that, the two Raticate leave your presence, and you're left alone with your pokemon to try to get up the mountain.

Ffeffni Mountain
This large mountain is very cold and has biting winds nipping around.
There is a layer of snow falling and many ice types can be found here.
Also look for hardier bird Pokemon and a variety of tough foes.


Round 98


Pinkyta puts a hoof up to her face, pondering what she could do to breach the storm.

Suddenly, a light bulb appears above her head, and she exclaims "I have an Idea."
Not even bothering to question the light bulb, you allow her to simply carry on.

"Nothing's better at getting rid of storms than Sunny Day!" As she says this, she conjures up a small sphere of light in front of her face. With a yell of force, she throws her head up towards the sky and launches the sphere into the wall of the storm in front of her.
The sphere of light is swallowed up by the storm, and the three of you wait a moment to watch the Sunny Day do its work.

"Well, that didn't work." Pinkyta says, voicing everyone's thoughts.



Hoping to try something, Leo holds up her tail in preparation to sketch something. However, before she can even do anything, her tail begins to glow with a faint emerald light. It seems to perk up a bit, as if seeing the storm for the first time, and Leo is startled as her tail begins to point, straight as an arrow, directly at the storm. Leo holds her ground, keeping herself from being pulled toward the storm by her own tail.


What next?
-Allow Leo's tail to pull her towards the storm?
-Contain Leo and try something else?
-Get the heck out of there!?

Sorry I haven't reffed your round yet, ash. Some things happened that I won't go into details about, and I haven't really been focused as of late. I'll get to the reffing as soon as I can.

Ash0011's Safari Zone Adventure

Ffeffni Mountain
This large mountain is very cold and has biting winds nipping around.
There is a layer of snow falling and many ice types can be found here.
Also look for hardier bird Pokemon and a variety of tough foes.


Round 99

You grab Leo in order to keep her from being pulled into the Blizzard. You figure that using her as a sort of compass wouldn't be a bad idea, so you slowly move closer to the wall of the blizzard.

As soon as the tip of Leo's tail touches the wall of the blizzard, an area about the size of a human begins to glow. As you move closer, the wall of the blizzard seems to "bulge" inward. Once you, Leo, and Pinkyta are well into the blizzard, the "bulge" soon forms into a protective bubble around the three of you.

Following Leo's tail, you soon come across a cave that seems to lead deeper into the mountain. It's at this point that Leo's tail begins to dim as you walk into the cave. No longer needed the "protective bubble," you set Leo down and continue your way into the cave.

Soon, you come across a split in the path. Oh joy, more of these cave shenanigans, you think to yourself.
You can hear various voices, but you can't tell for sure which path it's coming from.

hmmm I look around closely, there may be a hidden area, if not then take the left path, because its right when coming from the other tunnel
