As was just demonstrated, this rule does cause confusion. Would it be better to just leave the letter off at the end and have the person handing out the plushie specify, which one it is?

OK, I'll try to explain this, and maybe the workers can help me, just in case. First, let's look again at the following rule...

ANNOUNCEMENT: Randomizer Update! If you select an Unown plushie using the Official Pokémon Hangman Randomizer, it will also name what Unown form has been selected in parentheses, like "UNOWN (A), BURMY Steel." Don't include this extra letter, extra word, or extra symbol in the puzzle, however. Just tell the winner what the form is when you award the plushie!

OK, so when you have to make a puzzle, these pokemons have additional characters. However, keep in mind that this is not included in the official pokedex name, so we do not include it.

(Example: Unown, even if its the letter A, or B, the official pokedex name is Unown. Same goes with Shellos/Gastrodon...they have an east and west form, however, the official pokeden name is Shellos and same goes with Gastrodon)

Finally, some names in the pokedex have official unusual characters, like the following...

Some Pokemon have unusual characters in their names. The following is a guide to show how we display those Pokemon in Hangman puzzles:

*Ho-oh - HOOH(4 letters)
Mr. Mime - MRMIME(6 letters)
Mime Jr. - MIMEJR(6 letters)
Porygon Two - PORYGON2(8 letters)
Porygon Z - PORYGONZ(8 letters)
Nidoran Female - NIDORANF(8 letters)
Nidoran Male - NIDORANM(8 letters)
Farfetch'd - FARFETCHD(9 letters)

* - Since Ho-oh is a legendary, only a worker may award it. But this could be useful if you see a worker giving a four-lettered puzzle.

Since these are the official names, we have to find a way to give them in a puzzle. What we do is that we eliminate the unusual characters (hyphen, male and female symbols, periods, spaces and others) and display them as you see above.

One more thing, when you give a puzzle (like the previous Gastrodon) you display the puzzle as Gastrodon (9 letters), and after it is awarded, you say which form the player won (east or west), but it is not included in the puzzle, since the official pokedex name is Gastrodon. Same goes with Unown, Burmy and other non-legendaries with alternate forms. (Please: Do not confuse Spinda, since it has the same form. It might have different panda spots, but has the same form.)

But what about the legendaries?

In the case with the legendaries (the alternate forms of them), since only the workers will award them, after it is awarded, the player will pick the specific sprite for the plushie (this only applies to Deoxys, since he has an Attack form, a Defense Form, a Speed form and a Normal form. In the case of Shaymin and Giratina, first, we will wait after Platinum is released in the US, and then we workers will decide how they will be given, although they will probably be given the same way as Deoxys is given. Keep in mind that this will be after Platinum is released in the US.)
