Shinsuke Volcano

This Volcanic Island - previously hidden away can now be seen from the shore. A massive pool of magma lies deep in its center, but one can walk down quite a ways and find a variety of Fire Types enjoying the heated tunnels. Some hardier Flying Pokemon line the edges of the Volcano as well. A tall Pagoda stands on the Island as well, the only man-made structure here.

Marauder gets free from his captors, and fires off a HUGE gust of winds, throwing the three Charmelions around the room. Add to the mix one happily rolling Sonikku, and you have a Fire lizard blender. Puck fires three charge beams in to the mix, hitting each lizard, who use the oppurtinity to build up some rage, which they direct at their former dinner.

Oh man. Did not want to KO the thing. Howd you get so much stronger there Blade? Must have been the training.

Going to walk up to the KO'd Draipon and leave four units of water for him, then we're going to continue walking down the hallway. I'm going to be looking for any kind of symbols on the walls for any indication of what's here, or where we're at, or better yet, why this temple spire seems to shake and sink.

Blade can just relax for these rounds, and Tsuki can stretch her senses for anyone else in the tunnels (though if they're Dark Type we're still gonna get a surprise), Ziz can keep his eyes out for any other surprises as well.

Blade settles down for a snooze, as you begin your detailed plotting of the mural.

It begins on the east side of the temple, where it depicts a Sun, looking down over a landscape. Many humans and pokemon are depicted, though all as smaller, inferior designs. About half way through the mural, the scene changes to night, and you can see pokemon and humans in evening rest, and meals, until finally, the mural's west side ends with the depiction of the moon.

Here is the fun part.



The mural took up 180 degrees of the floor, with a second mural taking up the other 180 degrees.

The difference, the one you just examined goes east to west, on the northern side. The other mural goes east to west on the southern side.

The southern mural is almost identical, save for one difference. The southern mural depicts a seascape, with beaches, waves, islands, and temples.

(The image above is the outer ring of this level in the temple. You came in near the east (Right) axis point. There are 4 entrances to the center of the temple, but you know not what is in there (its a maze). Sounds can be heard from the center. The mural's take up the whole circle of the wall, and span approx 500 feet (or 150m).)

Well, lets think on this. The Mural depicts two different sets of places where people and Pokemon come together. Yet nothing about the temple? Why it's here? Hmm. Interesting. To build a large structure without any records of what it was for... That might be in another room.

As Blade continues to snooze, you resume your inspection of the mural.

You do another lap around, and then you notice something. At the point where day becomes night, and night becomes day (Center North and South respectively), Humans and Pokemon seem to be fleeing AWAY from the center. At the north point, it appears to be a desert, with a single tower at the focus.

At the south, it appears to be an open section of the water.
