[SZ Ref Thread] BTPoke's Breathtakingly Terrifying Promenades! (Ash0011)

Sorry this round took so long, but I was feeling particularly artsy with this round and wanted to spend a bit more time thinking about what to do with it.

Also, I kind of want some input on this: Do you prefer the round be set up like this post currently, or would you prefer I center it like all the previous ones?

Ash0011's Safari Zone Adventure

Ffeffni Mountain
This large mountain is very cold and has biting winds nipping around.
There is a layer of snow falling and many ice types can be found here.
Also look for hardier bird Pokemon and a variety of tough foes.


Round 115

"Alright, but be careful." You say as you stealthily move towards where you believe Frankie to be.

"Hey, Mr. Hokey Smokes."

Apparently pinkieta has no intention of being careful.

The King stops and turns towards the source of the voice, to see that it is Pinkieta. The burly charizard slowly walks closer to Pinkieta, while grinning evilly. A few stray sparks seem to fly from him, meaning he's still affected by paralysis. The King's putrid yellow eyes are rimmed with shades of purple, so you can tell that each movement must be at least a bit irritating for him.

"What, exactly, did you just call me?" The King gets ever closer to pinkieta, finally coming to a stop before her. He stoops down and gets on all fours, stopping his head directly in front of pinkieta, looking more menacing each second.

"Uh, hehe, I called you hokey smokes, of course." Pinkieta sports a grin on her face, but you can tell as you get closer to frankie that she must be scared out of her wits.

Meanwhile, you eventually reach Frankie, only to find him on the ground, battered with bruises and various burns. You see his pelt is scorched in a number of places, and he seems to even have some bald spots. You grimace, and Frankie slowly rises to his stubby feet.

"Ugh. Do I look that bad? yeesh. Minerva's gonna kill me for ruining the hair style she set me up with. Anyway, what do you need, boss?"

You reply, "Pinkieta's keeping The King busy. Apparently she has some sort of plan. In case anything goes wrong, get a water pulse ready, and lace it with some electricity."

Frankie salutes in a military fashion. "Can do, si- Wait, What?" The salute crumbles until Frankie shows obvious signs of fear. "Pinkieta's taking on that beast by herself!? Heatmor is one of the most powerful pokemon in this mountain, and HE couldn't even take defeat The King. I know that pony's weird as all hell, but there's no way she can take on a creature like that by herself."

"Which is why she's not taking on The King purely by herself," You retort. "We're setting up for a worst case scenario, so you should get into a good position, fast. I'll go find Leo and tell him the same thing."

"Well... alright, then. Let's hope things don't go south."

"Knowing how this adventure has gone so far, they probably will."

With Frankie getting into position, you head over to Leo, who doesn't seem to be too far away from where Frankie landed. Battered in cuts and burns, you look over Leo to see if she's ok.

"Well, looks like you're hurt pretty badly, Leo. We're almost done with this fight, though, so I need you to be strong. Pinkieta said she has a plan, but knowing us, things are probably gonna go horribly wrong."

You relay your instructions to Leo, and she obediently walks over to a position, carrying the Railgun over her shoulder as she goes. Seeing that everything seems to be in order, you decide to see how things are going with Pinkieta.

GROOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Uh-oh.

You cover your ears and watch in terror as The King lets out a loud roar right in front of Pinkieta. Pinkieta, however, stays standing, although she briefly turns her head away from the face of The King. You turn your head to see that Frankie and Leo are both in their positions, covering their ears from the noise.

Then, you catch a glimpse of a flash of green. You look around for the source of the light, but you can't quite catch it in time. You look back to pinkieta to see that she's standing up tall.

The King stands there, looking incredulous.
"What? How are you not cowering in fear? The force of my roar is enough to bring even some of the strongest pokemon to their knees."

Pinkieta, spreading a smile across her face, begins to laugh.

"Hahaha *Snort* I'm sorry, hehe, but I just remembered a funny story granny pie always told me when I was scared. It always cheered me right back up. She always told me that scary things aren't really all that scary if you don't think of them that way. To be honest, hehe, I kind of forgot about that."

Pinkieta takes a step forward. The King seems a bit surprised by this action.

"You're not really scary. You're just some meanie that decided to have a tantrum when you didn't get something. As long as I realize that, I'm not going to be scared by the likes of you."

The king steps back a bit. "That's... absurd! I am a pokemon that strikes fear in the hearts of many! Such a philosophy shouldn't matter!"

"Well, then," Pinkieta says as a cone of light sprouts on her forehead. The new appendage begins to spin. "Let's see how much it does matter."

Pinkieta lunges forward, using an agility as she goes to close the short distance faster, and drives her newly-sprouted horn into The King. The Charizard's eyes pop wide open, his mouth agape in shock, as the Horn Drill slowly dwindles his health down to nothing.

"Im...possible. You're just... a runt."

"Don't underestimate the power of the OHKO."

As the attack ends, and pinkieta jumps away, The King's eyes close, and he slumps down in defeat.

"Well, looks like my philosophy kind of matters." Pinkieta says cheerfully. "Also, don't expect that attack to happen again anytime soon. I only use that thing as a last resort."

"Wow," Frankie says, coming out from his position. "That was kind of anticlimactic." As he says this, Leo also comes out from his position and over to your side.


With The King knocked out cold, the Ruby of Fire in your possession, and your team mostly injured, what now?
-Do something with The King
-Find Heatmor
-Leave

Round 116

Turns out that locating Heatmor really isn't that difficult, as he's just a few yards from where you currently are. As you walk over to him, he actually starts to wake up.

"Nice. Way to wake up after the fight." Frankie says.

It takes a moment for the elder to fully get up, and he addresses you.

"So... I guess this is who I have to thank for stopping that beast. I do assume you came here looking for the ruby of fire, correct?"

You nod in affirmation, and he continues.

"Well, if I had not already given it to you, I would do so now. You four showed up at precisely the right time, so I don't believe it was coincidence that the stone should fall into your possession. With it out of my hands, the illusion on these caverns has halted. You may leave as you please."

"Alright, but, where do we go next? We need to find the last stone." You say.

"Ah, yes, the sapphire of Ice. To find that stone, you must travel deep into the heart of Ivy Forest, for it is in a cavern deep below Ivy Lake that will house the Sapphire of Ice."


Well, it seems you have your heading. What next?
