Well bug and ghost are super effective against psychic but there is no strong attack in either of them in r/b/y so you should probably just use normal attacks

Actually Ghost isn't. The only true Ghost move is Lick, and that's bugged so it doesn't affect psychic types at all.

In the case of Bug types, there are only 3. Twin Needle, Pin Missile and Leech Life.

Twin Needle is only learnt by Beedrill (weak to Psychic)

Pin Missile is only learnt by Beedrill (see above) and Jolteon (crap attack)

Leech life is only learnt by Paras/ect (3 'x4' weaknesses), Venonat/moth (weak to psychic) and Zu/Golbat (weak to psychic). Not very helpful.

Your best option is to appeal to each psychic pokemon's weaknesses in their stats rather than try to beat their types straight on.

    Alakazam: Weak defence
Jynx: Weak defence (also weak to Rock, Fire)
Exeggutor: Limited move cabability, slow (also weak to Posion, Fire, Ice, Flying)
Starmie: average defence, low HP (also weak to Electric, Grass)
Slowbro: slow (also weak to Electric, Grass)
Mr Mime: Mediocre stats all round
Hypno: No recovery, all round stats

The main Psychic playes are at greater risk of being defeated if they are paralysed. So make sure you have paralysis moves.

A Tauros with Blizzard and Body Slam+Hyper Beam will blow most of the Psychics apart. For Slowbro and possibly Starmie, just use an Electric or Grass move.

There isn't anything good that's SE versus Psychics, just smack them with anything that's generally strong, and playy off their dual-type when applicable.

you forgot one psychic type pokemon, RaZoR LeAf.
    and it's Mewtwo.
Mewtwo is a powerful psychic pokemon.
the only attacks you need to worry about is Psychic and recover.
you don't need to worry about it's swift and barrier.
Psychic can knock your pokemon out with one hit.
recover will undo most of your work of damage,
    barrier will raise his defence.
swift will only cause little damage to your pokemon.
if you're plaining to catch him, then use attacks like ice beam or blizzard might incase him in ice.
so puting Mewtwo on ice will greatly increase your chance of catching Mewtwo.
Sleeping attacks won't be much of help.
but frezzing him will help you out alot.

I didn't mention mewtywo, because i'd hope most people would have enough sense to use something less cheap and obvious as Mewtwo. And Why a Mewtwo would have Swift or Barrier is beyond anyhows. Tentacruel can survive a non-CH Psychic from Mewtwo, so it can't knock things out in one hit unless it uses Amnesia. Recover wont cure paralysis, sleep or freeze.
