Default Teenage Muntant Ninja Turtles [2007]

I saw this over on digg:

"This is the movie poster for the new CGI Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Movie that will be out in 2007. Looks very sweet."

I'll definitely go see a CGI TMNT movie...

    Cowabunga dude!

This will either be very good, or very bad... I reserve judgement until more information is available.

I hope this won't be as bad as those real-life Turtle movies from the 90s.

There's very little information on this movie on IMDB so far, you might want to take a look nevertheless though. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0453556/

I absaloutly adored the cartoon, but to be honest I never liked the films.

So maybe this will change my opinion on the movies!

Yeah, the films were like slow motion power rangers shit in Barney suits.

I loved the cartoon though, I was about the age, a bit too old for power rangers, a bit too young for the other things.

What?! The first 2 Ninja Turtle movies fucking ruled. The second one had both Vanilla Ice and Kevin Nash!

Heh, yeah, I remember Diesel being in them, but that alone doesn't make them good. I found those Turtle outfits ridiculous, like it's a movie for 5 year olds. And Turtles with teeth ... gimme a break, in the cartoons you at least hardly ever saw them.

Nice to see a Vanilla Ice fan, I remember I saw a report on him five or so years ago when he had found a new career, serving burgers at McD's.

If 4Kids are behind this (considering the logo is the same as the 4Kids cartoon), don't get your hopes up.

I remember Vanilla Ice doing the theme tune to one of the movies. Kicked arse:

    GO NINJA GO NINJA GO!

The old Turtles movies were craptastic i.e. they were absolute dogshit but you can't help but love them.

The old cartoons were complete camp. They were fantastic.

    But to hell with CGI.

I have all of the old movies on tape and I used to watch them repeatedly. I also watched the old cartoon and I occasionally watch the new cartoon when I catch it on. If they were to make a new movie, I would so go watch it!

    "Writing credits
    Kevin Eastman (comics)
    Peter Laird (comics)"

If these are the guys who made the original comics, it might not be that bad.

I'll see it either way, of course, being a fan of the old TMNT myself [new = shit].

I think the Turtles should just remain in the eighties/early nineties where they belong.

The cartoons were great as a child, the movies not as, but everyone's already stated that they were movies that you love anyway.
