It's not just the first WS title in 88 years for the White Sox, either. Chicago as a whole has just overcome the 88-year drought.

In other news, Texas has still never won a World Series game. Yeah, that's right. The Astros were the first team from Texas to reach the October Classic... and they got swept.

Well, congrats to the White Sox. We'll get you next year! Next year, I say! Muahahahaha! :biggrin:

Hey, congrats to the Astros for a great season. Concidering that they were pronounced "dead" in June, making it to the World Series is quite an accomplishment.

Meh, I still can't believe that they won it all. At the start of the year, most "experts" predicted that the White Sox would finish 3rd or 4th. It just seems like they did everything right this year, rarely dominating, but always getting the big hit or making the big pitch that wins the game. It still hurts to see it though. lol But it is just a game, and even though I am horribly disappointed that my least favorite team ever won it all, life goes on!!

On a side note: Now that the Red and White Sox have won the World Series the last two years, that means that whenever the Cubs win the World Series, than the Cleveland Indians will be the team that has gone the longest without winning the World Series. Yay!!
