In some RPG posts, many people use music as inspiration. Either it being a character theme or possibly just appropriate background music that they feel fits the situation. As part of the new RPG Lounge forum, we bring you a topic in which you can post your ideas for music that fits the scene, character, or overall theme of the RPG. For the first time RPG creators have a place to put what they believe should be the theme song to their RPG.

Reason: Well, take a look at Mara's profle. Her magic's entirely blood-based...she's a beast of blood, as it were. I think that it describes her perfectly! ^^

RPG Name: Chronicles of the Rift
Character Name: Tané Marré Ghéde
Song or Poem: Not so much as a song as a jazz tune... Anything by the godly Django Reinhardt would do fine, but in particular "Nuages" (Clouds), performed with the quintette of the Hot Club du France. There are no lyrics, it's an instrumental ^^;;
Reason: It's slow and quiet... A little fuzzy round the edges... Wishy-washy... just like Tané...

RPG Name: The 8th Layer by B4
Character Name/Specific Post: Theme for entire RPG
Song or Poem: Fallen Angels by Ra (Click the "Fallen Angels" link in the songs box to make sure it's the one playing)
Reason: Aside from the obvious title, I think this song represents the darker side and overtone of the RPG, and the plight of the fallen Angels.
Other: This song is just plain cool!

Reason: I think the song really describes how Torch is really tortured inside. If you read his first post, you'll discover how inside he really is insane.
Other: The bits about fire don't hurt, seeing as that's his power.

I'll post here. I like the idea of character themes.

RPG Name: Ashford Asylum
Character Name/Specific Post: Shan Shayna
Song or Poem: "Helena" by My Chemical Romance

Here be a music video, more so you can hear the song than for the video itself.
Reason: With this song, it isn't necessarily the lyrics that made me choose it. The tone of the song, the feelings it represents of quiet contemplation and loss, they just seemed to fit the best. I also like the chorus, which sounds like this Shan.
Other: Since this is a reoccuring character of mine (more in my own stories than in RPGs), there are other themes for Shan, the overall theme being "Moving Forward" by Hoobastank. Finding a theme for Ashford's Shan took a while. This one won.

I don't care about "bad affinity". Even if our love is not doing well, Nevertheless we have deep ties.

Reason: Mainly it was because of the tone of the song and the idea I had of Saké preparing for his gradauation test after the Dragon Gods were released. It delt with a lot of cram session studying magic, ritual, and customs when he passes out from the stress and then faces his final test against his mentor using both the blade and magic.

Reason: Mainly the theme is a hint to how the creature was destroyed. As one that controled Fire, Lighting, and Water, and was born of giant crystals, I think it would be fitting for "heart opening" to be its downfall. ^^

Reason: Well, Kíashkiklah is known as the Dragon of Blood, and the Dragon of Love, so I figured a song where he doesn't know which he is would be perfect for him. I was also debating on Getting Away with Murder by Papa Roach was also a valid choice ^^U
