I have misplaced my roles list and the thread cannot be retrieved. In light of this, I would like to ask that anyone still interested in participating in the next round of Axis Mundi sign up once more. The rules are as follows. I am looking for at least twelve players before this round starts.

AXIS MUNDI
At the start of the game, each player is privately informed of their role for the game. Most players are humans, a few of them shifters, and a few are special roles.

Dawn
As the game starts the host provides a story involving an NPC death. Players are informed who bit the dust the dusk before and then the voting begins. During dawn, all of the elders, including the shifters, discuss their suspicions. Players then vote for a player to be lynched. The player that receives the majority of the votes is lynched. Ties are decided by a random number generator, and when the lynching is done, dusk begins.

Dusk
During dusk the shifters get their kill. They decide together on whom to murder and privately inform the host of this decision, all shifters sending the message individually. Meanwhile, other roles with night abilities may use them. Once the night is over the next day begins.

The object of the human side is to eliminate the shifters. The object of the shifter side is to outnumber the humans to the point where they may slaughter them openly.

Roles
Roles are assigned via a random number generator.

Elder - One of the residents of the village. At the beginning of each game, two random elders will know each other.

Shifter - Humans who have been possessed by an animal spirit. They have a minor ability dependent on their preferred form. Shifters are allowed a night kill. There must be at least two shifters for a night kill to be effective. Otherwise, there is only a 25% chance of success. Any shifter not participating in a night kill does not count towards the total shifters required.

Dhole - If the last shifter, the dhole can kill alone with complete success.
Parrot - The parrot mimics a random role if it is the target of an oracle's revelation. It can still be revealed as a shifter, as shifter is among the available roles. Alternately, it can forfeit this ability and gain the abilities of another shifter role, the guardian angel, shaman, or oracle. If it chooses one of the latter three, however, it no longer counts as a shifter for night kills. He may only invoke the second ability on or after second dusk.
Tapir - The tapir cannot participate in night kills. However, whenever a shifter is killed, the tapir attacks relentlessly. One non-traitor, non-elder special role of the humans loses all of its abilities and is treated as an Elder thereafter. This ability is forfeit if the Tapir is the last shifter. This is only useable twice. This ability does not apply if it the Tapir that has been killed.
Monkey - The monkey can send a private message to the host at dusk to randomly redirect the oracle's revelation, shaman's hex, guardian angel's protection, vigilante's kill, high elder's protection, shifter's kill, tsetse fly's bite, and parrot's mimicry once per game. The abilities are only affected if they are being used that dusk.
Salamander - Has a 50% chance of surviving death in a form other than purification. It is revealed as a shifter in this way.
Tsetse Fly - The Tsetse fly can send a private message to the host during dusk to render one player's vote perpetually invalid. This may only be used once. There is a 25% chance each dusk that the player dies; whilst alive, however, they may continue to participate in Dawn discussion and continue to vote. This vote simply does not count towards the final tally.

Oracle - The oracle sends a private message each dusk to reveal the role of one player.

Shaman - The shaman has the ability to hex another player once per dusk by sending a private message with the target of their choice. A hexed target has a 50% chance of becoming the new target of any ill night effect.

Guardian Angel - Sends a private message to the host during dusk to protect one player. If this player is attacked, than he/she survives unscathed.

High Elder - The high elder may send a private message to the host to purify a player every second dusk. If the target is a shifter, their animal spirit is exorcised. Unfortunately, the shifter is killed in the process.

Vigilante - The vigilante may send a private message to the host to kill a player every second dusk. The vigilante attempts to kill a shifter, but may accidentally kill one of its own kin.

Traitor - The traitor may send a private message to voluntarily defect to the shifter side. This betrayal is permanent and may only be used at any time on the third dawn or after. A defecting traitor gains a random animal form and its minor ability and is considered to be a shifter, in entirety, thereafter.

If a player does not vote then he/she gets a doom vote. Once a player receives three doom votes, they are killed.

END Rules

Again, we need at least twelve players to start. I would love to see more, and newcomers as well.
