Ignoring all obstacles, Yevon unleashes a powerful blast of mental energy (-5 (Energy Substitute)/-9). Knocked back, Kitsune catches her stance and pits out a blob of sludge at Yu (-5), which connects with the “phased” Ghost. Yevon coughs (odd since ghosts technically don’t have lungs) and can feel the toxins working on him (Toxic Poison).

With the Ghost distracted for the moment, the Riolu rushes for Yu, black energy swirling around her paws and swipes at Yevon (-5/-6). The attack sent Yu floating backwards, however the Ghost retaliated with a second psychic blast (-5 (Energy Substitute)/-10).

Kitsune is a little disoriented from the continuous Psychic assault, but she manages to keep her footing as she summons dark energy around her teeth, giving them an even more dangerous aura (-6) before she lunges for the weakened Duskull, making full contact with the Ghost (-9) causing him to yell out in pain. Angry Yu Yevon concentrates and unleashes one more blast, drawing up on his own health to do so (-5 (Energy Substitute)/-8) sending Kitsune to her knees in pain.

Breathing heavily the poison takes its effects on Yevon as it drains his last bit of health from the ghost (-3 (Toxic Poison)) and he dissipates into the æther. Kitsune doesn’t escape her own adverse effects (-3 (Burn), -3 (Toxic Poison))

Alright Revan, time to try out your skills. Counter that Double Team with an ever so accurate Shockwave, then grasp that fighter in a nasty psychic and squeeze or stretch him. Keep him from using Blaze Kick. Next, stop him from using Earthquake by gripping him in a psychic hold and levitating him off the ground. Then crush him while he's in that hold.

With the shade gone, Kitsune seems to breathe a sigh of relief, until Tears unleashes her newest pet, filled to the brink with Dark-Side energy is the Abra Revan!

Kitsune gets to work, angry at the Abra, she goes in for a generic attack (-4/-4). Revan didn’t even budge as electricity crackled along her body. Raising her arm she unleashed dozens of electric sparks that zapped along the ground, into Kitsune (-3/-3).

Gritting her teeth, and baring her fangs, Kitsune starts running, flames kicking up on her heels. As she takes a jump, flames swirling around her feet she is seized in midair, before she is able to fully connect with the Abra. (-7, -11/-9) and the Psychic type enjoys the torture she causes on the small Fighting type.

Kitsune isn’t out of this fight yet. She takes a stance and summons her ki, causing an earthly aura to surround her. With a jump and a flip she heads to the ground to send her ki into it, but allas, she’s caught mid-air by Revan, who then proceeds to stretch the Riolu out like a piece of taffy (-8, -10/-8).

With that, Kitsune feels the effects of her previous ailments and coughs (-3 (Burn), -6 (Toxic Poison)).

It worked so well before Revan, so lets do it again. Keep using Psychic to keep him away from you and deal good damage. If for some reason you cannot use Psychic, switch to Energy Ball.

The scene is still as… well… HEY! Where’d the Ref go?!

Rushing in from his horrid schedule of Herpetology, Ornithology AND other basic Graduate work… the Ref returns! And proceeds to un-pause the game. Mental note, take a holiday from Reffing while in school… much easier on the battlers…

The horrid realization sinks in Kitsune’s mind. The Riolu might not make it through this match, let alone give CEB the victory he’s been working for. That doesn’t mean that the Fighting- Type’s going to go down without a fight! Concentrating the metal in her own body, she lunges for the sessile Revan lobbing bullet-fast jabs at the Psychic Type (-6/-7). Conecting hard and fast with the Abra, Kitsune lets a smirk cross her face. A smirk that’s cut short as Raven gains her own aura and retaliates with her own mental “punch” right into the Fighting Type’s solar plexus (-8/-12). The Riolu is winded.

Revan continues the assault with another douse of psychic Sith-work, crushing Kitsune’s own windpipe (-9/-11). The Fighting Pokémon gasps for breath and poison leaks from her claws (-7). She lunges for Revan, slashing across the Psychic’s face, leaving three long claw marks and poison seeps into the wound (-5, Poisoned (-3 HP per Round)).

The Riolu is nearing the end. She’s fought valiantly, as a Jedi should, but the over-whelming power of the Dark Side has taken its toll. The Jedi isn’t going to go down without a fight, and uses one more last ditch attack against Revan, she’ll use the darkness to defeat the darkness. Summoning the fallen warriors of the realm, Kitsune concentrates the energy into her claws and with speed that seems nigh impossible with the power she draws, she lands a direct blow that sends Revan blasting backwards (-8/-13!). She smirks, just as she feels a mental retaliation straight to her mind, crushing it from within (-7/-4), and the Jedi is down.

Darkness flows over the Galaxy….
